Please use proper spacing and paragraphs. In his previous life, Yun Qingci loved the Emperor more than life and death. When he was alive, he made soup and clothes for him, and in politics, he helped monitor his officials, even his family.
He was solely dedicated to the emperor, and all his scheming strategies were used to gain favour. He never borrowed his power as the Lord Empress to seek employment for his relatives, and he did not show favoritism. He can be said to be strictly impartial and incorruptible, not even recognizing his own family.
Outsiders were terrified of him, and relatives hated him, but Yun Qingci didn’t care. However, in the end, he was thrown into the cold palace by the only person he cared about and his whole family imprisoned.
Finally, he committed su*cide on that snowy day, and fell down that gilded tower.
Reincarnated, Yun Qingci retracted his claws, picked up the glass pieces of his heart, and conducted himself evasively in society. Acting as an escort to the Emperor for his relatives, he decided to become a proud Lord Empress that doesn’t need to be treasured or can have his status shaken.
Unexpectedly, the emperor who abandoned him like a shoe, praised by countless courtiers for both his virtue and kindness, suddenly changed his temper. He became cold and harsh, paranoid and cruel.
The servants who confronted Yun Qingci? He would beat them. The imperial concubines that provoked Yun Qingci? He’d punish them. A small person who framed Yun Qingci? He would kill him. When someone tries to approach Yun Qingci, he would become jealous to the extreme.
Soon everyone knew that Empress Yun was the emperor’s inverse scale. He was not allowed to be hurt, touched, or even looked at.
Yun Qingci, the fairy man, is speechless: So you like me not loving you, why didn’t you say that sooner?

This was well executed!; revenge arc ✔️, chasing arc ✔️, redemption arc ✔️.
I love it sooooo much.. All of you complaining about how MC is selfish or whatnot must have read this kind of novel for the first time because almost all bl/damnei novel consist of having the MC abused by the ML and the MC having no choice but to forgive without the ML going through a redemption arc. It is very painful tbh so no I don’t think the MC is selfish, I am very satisfied on behalf of other mc’s who couldn’t have their revenge arc. But maybe it’s my sadistic heart speaking, who knows. Also I liked the ML because from all the historical novels I’ve read, even if the ML is wrong, they would still use their authority as an emperor to command the MC into forgiving them but in this novel the ML didn’t do that. He is the definition of “redemption” himself. We all know the truth when it comes to reading historical bls. Once it involves a scum emperor, instead of repenting for their ways and chasing, they would try to manipulate the MC and abuse their power. So rn we should even appreciate the author for not making the ML like that and for giving the MC the backbone he needs and deserves. And tbh what he said was definitely what almost all Mc’s going through the same situation might have thought, for example when he said something about how he was happy the emperor suffered after he left, like let’s be for real. No one would be happy if after their death, the person they liked would be enjoying, drinking and having fun, ofcourse not. And fun fact, I actually liked the Ml. If there’s any gong in a redemption arc I’ve felt remorse for its definitely him and him alone. He deserves all my heart. Nothing important but I feel I should mention that while reading the novel, I realized that the ML actually liked the MC in their previous life, it was just that he was an emperor and he was planning schemes and conspiracies so he couldn’t express it so as to avoid his plans getting disrupted. Although it was not as much as the love the MC had for him in his previous life, it was still there. Atleast that’s what I understand from what I read. So once again, thank you author for this book, and I’ll definitely recommend for those looking for a selfish, revengeful, petty, strong willed shou (Mc) x repenting, strong, wife obedient gong (Ml)
They loved each other but due to the schemes of others, they had a tragic end. YQC died and LY sacrificed and suffered for 12 years to meet him again.
