A fluffy slice of life and I like it! ✧♡ (◕‿◕✿) There's nothing special about the story and there's no hidden mystery or anything. Lots of cliché to the point that you can already tell where the story is going. But I don't know, I can't seem to stop myself from finishing the whole story. Lol Probably I am a very patient reader and also the flow of the story is to my liking!! (◌˘◡˘◌) This is your typical cold ML and sweet MC. Some side characters are just numbers,... more>> the villains are not too bad unlike in other stories. I also like the extra chapters, this is a light read novel and don't expect dog-blood drama coz there's really nothing here. But if you like something with no angst and too much political/business drama, then this is for you.

I don't know how to define this novel. It doesn't really stand out amongst all the other BL novels I have read, but it is also not bad. It's good in a low-key manner. Nothing seems overly dramatic or exaggerated which is a big plus in my books. The characters are believable and so is the plot. While there is drama, scheming and even kidnapping. It doesn't make you feel totally unrealistic.

I liked the MC and ML. Both their IQs are intact. The MC's EQ seems to be fine,... more>> too, the ML's... not so much. But I suspect that the ML might be on the spectrum or something along those lines, considering his anti-social nature, staying in his own closed up world, aversion to being touched, dislike of lying and lack of knowledge of social and emotional cues. And MC happens to be his favorite person.

The story and relationship progress is satisfying. The main CP also doesn't suffocate others with dog food. They are actually pretty tame and subtle which I appreciate. It feels sweeter and more intimate since they keep their relationship and intimacy private (for the most part). The ML will still run off any potential admirers of the MC's with cold glares and subtle PDA like a dog marking its territory by pissing on it. Not like I mind that, though as he knows when to stop to not cross any of the MC's boundaries. The ML is utterly devoted to the MC and is basically wrapped around the MC's little finger. He can't even really get angry at the other. He isolates himself and sulks instead, not at all domineering. Pretty cute.

I also liked how the IQ and EQ of the side characters was also online. Antagonists did not seem all that s*upid either. As already mentioned, the characters were believable.

There were a few minor inconsistencies which I have either forgotten by now or am too lazy to mention. Either way, they are only small details and don't really take away from the plot.

Overall, this novel felt a bit like a slice of life novel, a counterattack/revenge novel and a romance novel. It had everything basically. <<less

Short and sweet story. More fluff than drama. Though there was more about ChiFang (MC) getting along with YuMo (ML), I guess I expected more of the revenge part since it wasn't as interesting and thrilling. Also, I kinda expected ChiFang to tell YuMu about him being reborn in this world? Afterall YuMo was the only one that could see through him. But well, that didn't happen so I was a tad disappointed.

But overall, the story is really cute and interesting so I do recommend it to others if you're... more>> looking for something less complicated and more sweet. <<less

Very refreshing read! No unnecessary drama, no misunderstandings (yes communication), and a happy ending!

Straightforward story of them getting together, as well quickly dealing with the villains. People might say it’s boring because of how quickly things were resolved, but this was such a great change in pace from other rebirth stories where plot is slowly drawn out just for the sake of having more chapters or unnecessary drama. This is exactly the type of mildly face-slapping, learning-to-appreciate-life, adorably-awkward rebirth novel that I love. The characters were wonderful, an interesting mix of cute and black bellied. The story had just enough plot to keep it going, and some mystery about the circumstances of the rebirth that eventually gets resolved at the end. Overall, a wonderfully entertaining read.

Imagine being the youngest child where your family is spoiling you then all of a sudden everything changed, from his accident, to his parent's death and to his brother's death. I admire him for being so strong before his rebirth. The people who did that to him and the Chi family is too hateful and rotten. How could they have so much grudge to kill of almost a whole family. Chi Fang's family are even really good. I like how after rebirth he didn't change so much that he still remember his past life, and the transition was a bit smooth, cause u won't feel it unless u think about it (the forgetting about past and living in the new life). Yu Mo, well, I do believe he must have some problem/sickness but it wasn't major enough to cause disturbance to his daily life so it was just ruled out as him being cold. Anw, Yu Mo is a really good person. A bit of a pity that CF never told YM about his rebirth, but I guess it was too sad to mention hehe, just kinda want CF to call YM as J cause it feels cool hahahah Anw, the villains are just reappearing so not much characters. Hmm, Pang Zifei is a cool friend. Their parents are also cool, Chi mother and Yu mother, the fathers didn't appear much ahahhah Chi Zheng and Chi Yan are cool brothers hahaha Anw, I think there was too much content about high school hahaha the exams were a bit repetitive, the scores weren't even emphasized much when CF studying was built up so much, hmm, just wished the time skip was in the hs part? Then their confession after living together, then I wanted more recognition of other people for CF cause he's probably a lot more skilled than most people cause he technically rose the Chi business before in his past life so it def practiced his skills. Anw, that's the regret that I have. The parallel, aww, well at least in a parallel world, Yu Mo was the one given another chance to be with his loved one. I just can't with how YM really fell in love or at least got attracted at first sight to CF. I was sad together with him when he investigated everything that happened with CF and how much he suffered. I'm glad they had their happy life in parallel worlds.

Overall, I like the story due to the fluffiness. And their growth. Not actually a revenge rebirth story, but more like, a slice of life.

there's a lot of these little scenes that you have to turn off your brain logic to fully enjoy it.

Also, what made me a but bitter was, MC was clearly an adult that got reborn during his teenage years, but his IQ and EQ also seemed to regress. Good thing this was a slice of life story so it can still be ignored lol.

The description looks promising, but the actual story is a bit underwhelming (for me).

The story is very very light. There's no drama, it's mostly about the student life of the MC, as well as some romance. I expected it to be more business-related considering the description but nope. The author barely touched their career life at all. Honestly, the first half of the story is quite boring, while the middle to later part is where the plot is all about and is the fun part of the story, however, those... more>> fun parts were somehow rushed all the way to the end. Every knots ended abruptly with only one chapter described by a third person, and that's it. It's disappointing. <<less

the MC (shou) is really lucky
he came back to life
and change his future
He's very beautiful
very kind
very soft
very shy
so easily intimidated
he had a wonderful family
but they were all as nice as MC, so too innocent...

the ML (gong) is very smart
cold and beautiful
nobody can approach him
except MC
they are together so perfect
so cute
so soft
I think it's very satisfying to read their relationship

it's a great story to read
the extras are awesome
we see that no matter the lives
it doesn't matter who comes back to life,
they love each other and they are always together !!!

I didn’t expect this novel to be that good!

The translation at the first part of the novel isn’t the best but it is still understandable and it gets better in the middle to the later part.

Tbh, the plot is not that unique but the way the feelings of the MC/ML are portrayed in this novel just hit my heart strings, makes me smiling like a fool lol

Anyway, give this a try it’s really good

If you are looking for a revenge or fighting rebirth, this is not it! If you are looking for sweet love & slice of life, you are at the right place. I really enjoyed it.

Just finished reading up until the latest update and one thing I could say is, they're both so cute!!

It was wholesome in all sense, I'm more excited to know what exactly happened in the past. Thanks for the translation groups who picked this up!

I only read until chapter 53 but so far I dislike MC character. I dislike how he always try to avoid ML each time he embrass himself.

I don't know if it's because translation was MTL-ed, but I honestly cannot feel the chemistry between the leads.

They're supposed to be so in love with each other, but all I got was roommate feels, that sometimes hugs and kiss, if you know what I mean.

As for Chi Fang, I also can't connect with him. He's just... there. Just cruising by. Probably because of the translation, but everything's so rushed, and monotonous at the same time. Even the so called conflict between the families, isn't very compelling.

This just isn't my cup of tea.

I love the Moms though, but what happened to the Dads? <<less

Writing/Translation: 3.5/5

The translation I read is from WJM-MTL until chapter 45. The translation is edited MTL and you can tell. The sentence structures are awkward but still readable enough. At least the translator provides footnotes for references that English speakers won't know.

Pacing: 3.3/5

The beginning 27ish chapters were starting to get too slow and too overly fluffy for me. I almost dropped the story at that point because there wasn't a hook to keep my interest since the romance was a bit too slow and too cliche. I wanted more drama from the rebirth portion. Fortunately, we start getting more of the antagonists a few chapters later.

Plot: 3/5

The plot is very simple, cliche and predictable. I would say the story is 75% romance and 25% handling the bad guys. The romance part was interesting to follow at the beginning but it was so slow that I was impatient. Also, I admit it got a bit cringy to fully read so I skimmed a lot of it later on.

The bad guys also had zero interesting plot twists or suspense because this is a pretty short story. All the things got solved right after. It is also kinda sad that most of the tools of the main bad guy were high schoolers and only one adult. Until now, I'm not sure if I missed it but I don't get their main motivation. Money?? Power? It seems too vague. It seemed a bit too personal for me

Romance: 3.5/5

The romance is okay. I like their relationship. It just got too fluffy for me to read so I skimmed a lot.

Setting/Worldbuilding: 2/5

It's just a modern world, high school with a shallow portrayal of the rich family type of setting. I say shallow because the intrigue wasn't that deep or mind bending or what. Plus, most of the characters are only high schoolers. We don't even get much from the other rich families or even the MC's family. I see no uniqueness between the families. Kinda bland.

Characters: 3/5

The main characters are okay. I like the MC because he's hardworking, smart but he can still be cute. I just wish he would show it off far more than the little we got. The ML was a typical doting stoic ML who, since he's young, is in the cute stage lol. The mothers were nice. I wish we had more from the fathers too.

The MC is a very smart person too. He is hardworking and sweet. While the ML is more of a cold and smart person but really sweet to the MC. They literally give us so much dog food btw. The dog blood and drama happening overall is pretty annoying but a good plot. I LOVE HOW THE MC ENDED THEM. Also the ML knew his boundaries which is what all these other MLs in this kind of troupe bls shld be doing btw *squints eye.* Also yes, I really enjoyed this novel a lot. Short, sweet and well written.

Worth the read! MC suffered a lot from their 1st/previous life and for this 2nd chance he did his best to protect his family like realllyy lesrning to study hard haha. At the same time he gradually realizes things he didn't see/notice in the prev life.

An ML who's not very good at lying that's why he's a straightforward person and others may not like him because of that. I love the romance. I feel so happy that the they both had the chance to live with one another.

The MC didn't deserve to go through so much. He lost so much. But it's good he had the chance to change it all.

Quick wholesome read. MTL but worth it, I could understand what the translator was trying to get across in their writing. I just wanna say I love all the minor suppporting characters, Chi Yan, Chi Zhang and Mrs. Chi are the best!
