An awesome novel! I like the fact that despite the OPness of the protagonist, he stays low profile. He helps and all but once things calm down he just wants to live quietly.

And the translation is of great quality so special thanks to the TL Jiro !

it's pretty laid back more like slice of life than action, the MC is pretty op so don't expected any interesting fights.

if you looking for something nice to pass time with I would reccomend it but if you looking for a badass MC fill with action and adventure this is not the one for you.

This is a blatant and unremorseful power fantasy. The main character isn't just overpowered, he's pretty much omnipowered. He can heal, stop time, teleport, control the elements, summon. Also he has infinity mana so he can do all of that as much as he wants. Even now he's still gaining more power pretty much every chapter. If you don't like that then this isn't the story for you but if you do then it's pretty great. Not much depth so far and I don't expect much depth from it but... more>> at the very least it doesn't seem to have the harem tag so that's a bonus. <<less

A good novel for teens wanting an OP main character, it's very a very simple story without too much annoying tropes but it's also a very plain novel, it's basically similar to Korean Dungeon novels but more basic. The plus is that it doesn't have any glaring flaw either and I already turned off my brain so that I can continue reading. I started liking it at chapter 60+ but then on around chapter 80 chaps the MC decides to hide his power on a f*cking whim, I absolutely no... more>> idea why the f*ck is he hiding his powers to begin with. He started to make things hard for himself by hiding his power. I hate novels with s*upid plot where MC tries hard to hide his power for no valid reason. Just imagine, the MC is like someone who has learned to walk and run but then decided to crawl instead for NO reason. Why. Jesus. Why. Lol

Aside from that, it's writing has one of my most hated writing style, it's the insufferable "WITHHOLDING of INFORMATION" technique.

For example:
Spoiler

GUY: I've seen the skills of that monster in the status window, we will not win!

MC: Why??

GUY: It's impossible, you can't win!

MC: Why not?!!

GUY: It's just not possible.

Insert American Psycho line: WHY NOT U s*upid BASTARD?!
[collapse]

Another example:
Spoiler

MAN 1: There might still be a way to defeat that thing, if it's that then maybe.
MAN 2: That's right! If we use that we'll be able to win!

[collapse]

While the characters continues the conversation the readers didn't know what the f*cking "That" they're talking about. The author won't inform the readers until the final moment, only when you got informed it not even shocking at all. It's pretty normal and all those s*upid suspense was not worth it.

Aside from this s*upid parts, if you can bear those then the others aren't too bad. Average enough. Plot: 3/5
Writing: 3/5
Characters: 3/5
World building: 2/5
Enjoyment 2/5
Overall I would give it score between 2.5 to 3. <<less

Think of it this way.

A no brainer simple storyline. Just read read read as it happen, nothing abnormal. I just unlocked skills then somehow OP and somehow win.

Done.

The story was good and goes a lot further more than I expected.

Spoiler

I thought that, like any other fantasy novels, it would go downhill after the England Dragon Subjugation

There are holes in the character of the MC and details not mentioned. But there are not many novels as hype as this one.

Personally, I think that the essence of a story is how they manage to affect and stir the reader's emotion and this is one of those stories, if you just want to pass time. The feeling of excitement and suspense you get when reading novels are rare. That is why this novel is a good read for me.

Spoiler

And the ending is not enough. Surely there are also people curious about his love life. And I don't quite get what he's going to do on the other side. Destroy the asteroid or mass migration to Earth?

This is just bad. There's a way to write an OP character that never had any real challenge, but this isn't it. The only problems this guy ever has is with extremely poor written antagonists from the government making very childish attempts to control him, and occasionally a little trouble killing the wildly overtuned boss mobs in the world. The MC is basically a god and still struggles to kill most of these monsters, which doesn't make a bit of sense. What would have happened if some random japanese nerd... more>> didn't become an invulnerable, infinite magic having being?

The lack of an antagonist, the inconsistent power scaling, the beta MC who will forgive anyone for anything, and the fact that he can just steamroll through any situation makes this arguably the most soulless OP MC WN I've ever read. <<less

Aside from the somewhat anticlimatic last boss and some minor hiccup this story is a good pass time. It's one event to another to the grand finale, like a pokemon game.

The story is nice, not rushed and also not super long novel like what other jp novels are. Straightforward rather.
A must read.

This looks like the type of novel that deserves an anime adaptation

One of the better novels of its subgenre, especially considering that it's the first and only novel of this author.

There are a couple things that aren't exactly doing this novel a favour, but before that let me put out the reasons this novel got such a high score.

First of all, it's light and short, and can be finished within a couple of days, making it perfect for a stand-in between release dates for other novels. Secondly, it can have some really nice fight scenes. Thirdly, the characters are compelling and while we don't learn much about their background, EVERYONE from the main cast has their chance to shine and grow. The side characters aren't just screen folds, and the villains aren't just cartoonishly evil for the sake of being evil; they do have a reason for what they do. Thirdly, it doesn't try to present itself as something that it's not, like SAO (still hate that "3 years worth of cum" line) or Dungeon Predator did. Finally, the stereotypical racial bad guys weren't present here. No Chinese racist scum and no Korean bloodlusty gangster.

As to why the novel didn't get the full 5 stars, the reasons were many but all minor.

1) Quite a few grammar mistakes, with genders being mistaken and a lot of smaller typos. However the translator said this was their first time, so I am willing to cut a lot of slack.

2) MC gets ridiculously OP very early, which isn't exactly surprising considering the setting; it's just that the MC was dumb and could have gotten OP sooner.

3) There were some unresolved things left in, such as

Spoiler

How Saruman learnt of t

the original weapons gacha owner and what exactly he did to him

[collapse]

.

4)

Spoiler

The ending felt like a somewhat less good version of Seoul Station's Necromancer's ending.

All in all, a great novel to read through quickly if you don't have another at the time.

I have just finished reading this fun and nice novel, I recommend reading it, the first few chapters are short and focus more on his skills and levels but deal with it. The over all story is great and there is no racism howsoever. The MC is Op and kindhearted. There is no harem or people clinging to the MC. So give it a shot.

There is no plot. No goal. Whatever is left of this novel is partly naive, partly pointless and partly plain s*upid.

This novel is literal fast food genre. You can read it. It is not really bad. But its bad to expect this story to be good. Its decent at its best.

First few chapters give you decent view over what this novel is about and how limited is MCs thinking. I didnt expect anything fancy after I read starting chapters, and I wasnt surprised with anything either. Just slightly disappointed, as... more>> I always hope for best. Still, it was not that bad, as some resemblance of story started after sh*t hit the fan.

Edit: after I read my review I realised I didnt do justice with explaining s*upidity of story. Here is small taste and minor spoilers:

Spoiler

gov and normal ppl want to ban ppl with abilities. Shame that only those people can defend them from monsters. Also people that change into mutants can be literally anyone, so its like you try to stab yourself in back with that ban. Also also, so called mutant people that are so discriminated against can pretty much obliterate any oposition by force. Good example of this is begining of story when japanese gov bans use of magic and MC just rolls with it and stays in confinement, when people are literally dying during that. And he actively tries to help them before that.

Once u get past the slow first 15 chapters its a very decent paced and interesting story.

Its a typical after apocalypse setting but the premise is good blend of comedy and seriousness, it doesn't get overly political or dark like many others and mainly focuses on the MC and his antics after he becomes insanely op and continues to grow even more so.

Its a very good take on a overly saturated topic, and good for reading as a pass time.

It's surprisingly good read. It might take a while before the readers felt that way because on the first chapter, the MC is busy prep himself with gacha machine while the world is still normal and that change after the gacha machine is gone and the world suddenly turn into a violent change of isekai where all of his skills gotten from the gacha suddenly become useful not to mentioned it, the MC really OPed because he toss all his savings and paycheck just to prep himself with skills at... more>> the gacha machine. Really good read for someone who like OP MC like me. And kudos to translator for a good translation and dedication.

Edit :- Finally finish, GoPro Avocado did it <<less

Quite a good find, the story is interesting, the OP Main Char is OP but still struggles quite a bit at every stage, unlike some other stories where you get bored as the MC doesn't even blink when something happens.

The start is a bit slow, but it picks up fairly fast once you reach the "real beggining" of the story. The translation is very well done, and chapters are released regularly.

The story is enjoyable. Character is OP, so read knowing that. Not a whole lot of drama because of it.

It has kind of a slice of life vibe of a guy given crazy power and doing his best to help.

It's so chill, but at the same time addicting. You can leave it alone for a bit, and then return like nothing and just get back into the flow.

The MC may be OP, but he's a lot more low-key about his OP-ness.

I'm really enjoying reading it.

A calm and steady protagonist, with a steady growth and seemingly overwhelming power. He still meets challenges, though. The side characters likable most of the time. The chapters are not terribly long so it is a fun read for you free time.

This novel is ideal for a binge read where you just wanna shut off your brain. It doesn’t do particularly anything special but it doesn’t suck a** either. The info dumps and stats can get heavy at times but it’s quite simple to gloss over them. Its certainly enjoyable if you’re into these types of novels

TLDR: If you want a simple power fantasy where the MC might as well be god, read this.
