Zhou Li had transmigrated into a tooth-rottingly sweet novel.

The sweet novel tells the story of a tragic male protagonist who was turned into a dog, abused by a gangster, rescued by the heroine, before finally marrying the heroine.

Zhou Li’s fate was pitiful, and he transmigrated into the animal-abusing gangster.

When he transmigrated, he found his foot stepping down on a dog’s head.

Looking at the dying dog, then thinking about the male lead’s character, he realised that his life was held in this little puppy’s paws.

A solid 10/10 story. I really like the story and I LOVE the MC so much. He is so funny and just so likeable. The pits on his head and his interaction with others almost caused me laughter-induced suffocation. The ML and MC surprisingly have good chemistry and I think they are well matched. They communicate well and actually have no secret from each other, even the "transmigration" was known to ML. The other characters are also written well and not flat. The fuerdai school mates and younger brothers are... more>> unique and pretty likeable.

In addition, a huge plus for the author for a good young/real young master plot.
Spoiler

The Zhou family handles it super well and the "fake" young master isn't vicious or jealous. No one blames any of the switched children! Quite rare in chinese novel. They actually blame the hospital and their don't treat or favor one from the other. It was a delight to read when you read a lot about this type of story that was basically one of the 2 children and/or the family being evil

[collapse]

You can ignore the plot holes. They don't really have much of an impact to the story and you might not even notice it. It doesn't really affect the reading experience, at least for me.
Spoiler

For example, how MC made an excuse being a second personality or is named Zhou Li instead of Qian Liye to ML or the friends is not really elaborated, they just somehow know

[collapse]

There are some heavy topics, including depression and su*cide (not on MC), but is packaged in a more light-hearted way. I feel quite complicated for Qian duoshu though.

Overall, this novel is a great read, funny, and not boring. 15/10 recommended. <<less

Absolutely phenomenal story. The whole cast of characters in this is amazing. Zhou Li is one of those MC's who improves the lives of everyone around him just because he wants to. He's hilarious, witty, ridiculous sometimes, and an absolute delight. I've never read a character quite like him. Li Shaoyan is also an awesome ML and he's the softest yandere character you will ever meet. He's not abusive, cruel, or overbearing. What's really perfect about the relationship between the two is that they understand each other perfectly. They know... more>> exactly what the other needs and how to read each others emotions.

Along with that, the Zhou family is amazing. Warm, loving, accepting, and Zhou Li's sort of "brother" Zhou Luwen is one of my favorite characters even though he doesn't have too many appearances. I wish there was a special story just for him because he's so sweet and gentle, but alas... the fate of sweet side characters is often this. Same with Yan Yunhui.

Overall, this is an incredible novel and I loved every minute of it. <<less

Being a fan of transmigration into a novel stories, I think I just found a gem.I haven't been this entertained since I finished Tranmigration into the heartthrob's cannon fodder childhood friend. This is really good!

This is a comedic gold! Idk how many time I couldn't stop laughing and my cheeks hurt lol. The MC is such a troll. He's exactly like what a young master should be! Witty, self-aware, narcissistic and never letting anyone wrong him. He's just like Song Yu lol but is not dense. He didn't deny that... more>> the ML could fall for himself after their interactions. Plus lol his talking ability! No one is a match for him bros xD! I loved how he was especially conscientious about this whole transmigration matter and solved a lot of the Original's problems to pave way for him if he leaves and was not comfortable thinking he was wronging the original by taking his body. And I liked how the author explain how everything came to be.I won't spoil but its truly a novel and interesting concept.

I just loved his interactions with the Husky ML and his Tomato and scrambled egg friends xD. The ML's thoughts as a Husky always made me laugh so much. Then MC's interactions with his new schoolmates and friends were delights on their own. It was hilarious lol.I need more novels like this! The romance was steady and not instananeous. The ML took time to fall for him and so did the MC and I love how their relationship grew to MC just being smitten with him and loving all the ML's sides. The honesty of both of them in the relationship is something I absolutely admire and look for in other couples in the novels too!

ML was totally respecting of the MC even tho he was a yandere but he controlled himself and never forced or did anything to him!Like he was even willing to let the MC go if he wanted and thats what we love in a man! We stan!!! He always supported the MC in doing what he wanted and was especially caring and so easy to coax~ just with a kiss~

Anyway as a whole it was a lighthearted, hilarious slice of life novel and I love it. Tho it did drag a bit so 4 stars but I highly recommend everyone to read it! <<less

Although I didn't finish it, to the part I got up to, it was a nice read. But as someone else said, once the most exciting stuff had gotten resolved, it mostly got boring to me as well.

and I decided that was a good enough stopping place before deciding to read something else.

The romance in the story was alright. It didn't get me too into it, but it's probably because I stopped right before it really developed. The male lead, if I'm being honest, I liked him better when

but although I understood his change in character, I didn't really care much for him. He still had his cute moments though. The MC however, I absolutely loved. He was hilarious with his antics which kept me amused throughout the story.

Maybe I'll come back to finish this one day, I just prefer to read something else at the moment. <<less

A very fun read though there is one arc that kinda feels slow. But the rest is just great. MC is a very fun protagonist that have a bright outlook in life and have creative solutions or pranks that he does in his life.

It has a bit exaggeration on technology that could not have worked and a bit confusing myth. However overall the world feels very alive with the characters are interactive and lively.

Enjoyable read (minus gaming arc). Image of the Yandere ML is transparent and isn't disguised or fluffed up as just someone slightly troubled and excused left and right.
MC and ML dynamic is hilariously cute.
Big nice surprise was the capable antagonist! Not your usual snooze-fest stereotypical brain-dead tunnel vision poisonous jealousy-driven nut job.
Names/nicknames/titles are a bit confusing since there are very similar ones.
It's mainly comedic slice of life with some hints of melodrama, romance is a bit out of the window here. Decent progression in the couple's relationship but didn't feel like I got enough dog food as a reader.
Spoiler

Transmigration is being properly explained and has its own lore. I can count on one hand how many protagonists are willing to fully explain to their lover not only of the transmigration/rebirth part but also the novel-verse bit, so big kudos to author for making their relationship completely transparent. Loved that the baby swap cliche didn't come with an over-jealous step sibling and MC and his step brother actually got along.

Extremely funny novel with many great main characters and side characters. I love MC. He's very smart and hilarious. The way he solves problems is always unique, funny and clever. I've read many transmigration stories, but I've not seen the transmigrators tackle the various issues in the same way he has.

Also, it's an interesting take on transmigration as well, with an unexpected overarching plot. For all that the premise is so silly (dog bodyswap), the writer makes it work.

Love this story very much!! It’s really funny and enjoyable. MC character is colorful with various big and small holes in his brain. I laugh so hard ad many events. The story is easygoing and fluffy for reading but still have plot. Author seemed to put some effort on background setting. And translator is fine quality.

Absolutely Perfect. Absolutely Satisfying. Totally Wonderful! Truly Amazing Novel Ever!!!

I'm so happy that my eagerness to read this novel is payed off with such Amazing story! No Disappointment! Beyond Expectations! Happy and Satisfying!!!

Wonderful Characters and Absolutely Wonderful Supporting Characters. It's not a simple Black and White story too. Characters that can be saved... Or who can get redemption... Who actually bad but acting mild... Or the Big Bad who can act... I'm satisfied with how the Author deal with those characters!

I simply LOVE our MC Sooooo Much!!! He was Calm,... more>> Caring, but actual Smart and Totally Shameless!!! All those Combination made our MC to be Soooooo Lovable and Hilarious and we Love him sooo much!!! Even ML!!!

ML is also Great character!!! Very funny reading his thought when he was Dog. Love his Yandere side who won't hurt his Beloved, Family, and Friends, but would be Cruel to anyone who deserve it! Very Smart! Also can handle MC's Shamlessness or his Hilarious Epic Brain.

And don't forget their Friends. Seriously, their Friends and Schoolmates are also very Fun Enjoyable Characters!!!

Also the Plot. Gosh, the Plot!!! The Hidden Plot!!! Gosh. Wow!

This is Truly Truly Wonderful Novel!!! I'm so Loving it I want cry. I Love it Sooo much with every part of my Body and Soul, and my Eternal Love, for the Eternity and Beyond!!! <<less

This is a great story, I love how confident the MC is and how unhinged both of them are -- but at the same time, they're also pretty sane. Not as dog-blooded as I expected? But the sense of humor throughout this entire book had me laughing quite a few times. It's a very? Specific sense of humor? Kinda dry-ish and almost reminds me of watching those sitcoms on tv. Anyways I think this is a great read, although I wasn't sure about it at first -- I enjoyed it.

Also... more>> mind the tags, it's heavy (trigger warning) domestic violence, a bit of (doesn't happen, but still implied) pe*ophilia, blackmail, attempted su*cide, mental health issues. It's not miserable (overall tone of book) but there are definitely elements of it that the book doesn't shy away from so protect yourself if these topics triggers you. <<less

Really good! I especially enjoyed the characterization of MC and ML. This is a real pick me up, not too much frustration but it isn't so smooth that it's bland. The plot point about how the MC transmigrated is also very interesting.

Not perfect, but deserve 5 stars. All the characters are so well written and full of dept. I dare say that based solely on the characters, this novel done better than a lot of 100+ chapters novel.

MC is not your born-for-face-slapping type of MC. He is kind, reasonable, full of humour, all in all very lovable. While ML is almost the typical ML, but still feel different.

The side characters are all well written, they have a lot of story to tell.

Plot holes here and there. However, the novel is a... more>> very good read, enjoyable, funny, relaxing. Try this. <<less

At first I didn't initially like how brash MC was, but then that prompts the question, is there is even a correct anwser on how to approach the themes of this novel? ... more>>
Spoiler

Namely the domestic violence, depression, attempted su*cide, body swapping complex, etc.

[collapse]
But as encouragement, cause I do recommend this series; those themes aren't omitted and addressed to an extent, but they aren't described very intimately. I'm not comfortable reading when I can closely associate with those sort of themes. This book is fairly short, so it is compact. There are plenty of comfy moments too.

ML is a dog. MC's goal is to treat him well enough so that he doesn't seek "compensation" for animal abuse.
Spoiler

MC didn't intend to treat him intimately, but from the perspective of someone who had to give up a dog because of the home situation (much like his considerations), or at times being immensely worried when apart... pets are an emotional foundation. And his adoring behavior is not so fluffy but rather "comfy". Like buying him decorations that no one but him (the dog s*ave) would care about.

[collapse]

And when I mentioned "compact", the pacing of this story pairs well with the grounded characteristics of MC. Not everything needs to be spelled out in the text, and it's spread throughout the story.

Edit: (Completed) Coming back to this story after four months, my memory is muddle on who was who. For example I kept mixing up ML and his half-brother together. But everything came together when I was reminded of the relationship dynamics.
Spoiler

Namely his dad. The exact thing that came to mind was 'Oh this was that story with domestic abuse'.

[collapse]

The CP of this story is certainly... unique. One's a yandere and another has a pit in there brain. This story is fairly short and they get to the quick of it. This story doesn't leave room for angst.

The only downside to this story is:

Spoiler

The antagonist in the latter half of the story. I liked the antagonist Lin at the start, but the latter antagonist feels like I just stumbled into a block that I knew was there, but then moved several paces so that I tripped over it. I guess the ending was satisfying, if only they didn't have to waste more words on the 'true antagonist', because he was too much like a Sue. Skilled in everything but still suffering at the hands of ML. ML's schemes were justified, the antagonist's hype was not.

It's worth read. With good charector to support plot

I like how MC is so confident and also don't try to live in the identity of the original owner but makes his own identity and also take original owner in consideration and makes everyone remember there is another person within him. Its normally rare in transmigration plot. So I enjoyed it. And also how the yandere ML is trying to be considerate

Overall no regret in reading.

This one was great, with a super interesting plot and great characters. It's the first time I've read a rebirth/transmigration story that gives a more thought out explanation than just 'wow, I'm suddenly reborn' or 'hey, a System just dumped me here' - the hows of the rebirth/transmigration are a major plot point. Also shout out to the MC for quickly coming up with a way to explain his sudden 'personality change', by going around telling everyone that he has DID and he is the second personality who has just... more>> come to the fore. <<less

Had to drop this.

It's a forced storyline, scattered with band aid plot devices (that are also quite bad/offensive, because, really? You had to throw in DID as an excuse?).

It's not to my liking, but those that don't mind mediocre non-sensical stories, this will probably rank quite high for you.

On the whole, this was a pretty easy, entertaining read. And although the story was more complicated than it may intimately seem, it did have a very “hero rides off into the sunset”, perfectly tied up ending. The MC is likeable and while the ML is kind of yandere, I liked that it mostly didn’t fall into some of the more common and annoying tropes that you see in similar story lines.

Spoiler

The original female love interest isn’t a terrible person. And the same goes for the mc’s actual family. There is no “real vs fake young master drama”

[collapse]

And while it had a few problematic bits (particularly some fairly casual handling of fairly heavy and possibly triggering themes) and some plot issues here and there, it was in general pretty funny, coherent and well written. <<less
