Fun, Fluffy, easy read. I really liked it, but... It has so much more potential, the character are simple at first sight, then they seem more complex and interesting, it's so subble it becomes intriging, but then everithing just stalls and the character fall flat, the Main plot desapears and the side plots are just... This novel made me Very Happy because it was very good. I really liked it. It was a fun and simple read.

The MC, Li Zhao, is an orphaned child who was abused by his adoptive parents. We later come to learn that he was actually kidnapped by child traffickers when he was 3 months old. He never lets life bring him down and always gets back up after experiencing a fall.

The ML, Yan Ting, is a rich, handsome and smart character. Pretty typical characteristic of a ML in a BL novel but he’s very far from the regular. He isn’t possessive, doesn’t get jealous at a drop of a dime and very sweet. He’s just misunderstood to be honest.

This is a slow burn and the two gradually fall in love and get together. Yan Ting is so sweet and shy and nothing like a regular ML. He dotes on Li Zhao 200%.

There’s some drama and face slapping but it doesn’t feel forced or like it’s just added on. Everything just melds well.

The only thing I would have liked to be added and was sad that it wasn’t was a back story on Yan Ting.

Why did his mom kill his dad? What is this curse they were talking about? How did Yan Ting die in the previous timeline? Why were Song Yu and Xu Bei given a chance to reincarnate?

Besides that, I absolutely loved this novel. Everyone should read it.

Reaalllly a good read! Extremely pleasing to read. Although the romantic interactions between MC and ML is almost at the end (is this spoiler?, heh, anyways!) it's a satisfying read. I still want more interactions though, I maybe quite selfish but this sister only wants to be fed dog food, ah! Anyway read it!!

Great positive/fluffy read. Although MC was slightly too perfect, story was still a pretty good balance between face-slapping/revenge and generosity/forgiveness.

MC is very similar to the white lotus in other stories. Although he's very genuine and generous, he's also pretty self-aware. It does make you realize that not all of his "good/kind" persona is real, but that's ok too (and doesn't make him a bad person).

Fantastic translation, love Rainbow-turtle's stuff as always.

The premise is that the MC is not reborn, but some people (villains) are so it was a very interesting... more>> twist!

The other best part was the slow-burn and domestic part of the relationship. MC was very ignorant of his feelings but that doesn't matter because the main couple fall together very naturally. Even when they weren't together, the bromance, friendship, and sweet moments were plentiful. Epitome of that one saying about love being like adding drops of water into a bucket until it spills over. <<less

Like the title itself, the novel made me Very Happy. MC is the type of a character that you can't help but want to hug and love him.

MC's childhood is sooooo heartbreaking ?. But despite it he keeps a happy and cheerful face for those he loves. Both ML and MC have such tragic childhood... everytime I teared up when reading those events...

... more>> sigh where can I get a doting lover like the ML? His way of caring for the MC is ??.

note: Fans interations killlllllls me ? omg I love them fans. Such loyal and chaotic lol.

Lastly, many many mannnnyyyy thanks to the author and the translator (s). The novel is well written and was well balanced. There were moments of laughter and sadness. <<less

Gave me the feel of drinking hot chocolate with my family during the holidays.

MC is a hardworking, happy-go-lucky child with a sad past. ML has turned cold from trauma, but is a loveable baby inside and for MC. The story is slow burn and really built up the sincerity and affection they had for each other. The confirmation of their relationship only slightly changed their interactions because of how important they are to the other. The author let the story be true to itself and didn't give it too much... more>> heartwrenching drama, staying only lightly angsty, hence managing to retain its feel good vibes.

This truly filled my heart with warmth. Please do read it. <<less

Great heart-warming novel.

Although it's short, but it's fulfilling. It doesn't have some breakthrough plot, but it delivers it in a most touching way. There were many points where I liked how this novel showed it, because it's not simply face-slapping, but bringing some great aspects on why it's better to be good and do good. Also it's a pretty upbeat story with happy moments, sad moments, dramatic moments.

And let's not forget our mains. MC is a spot of sunshine, he really sparkles. Though ML most of the time doesn't really... more>> talk, but there is enough of his strong presence. I'm a bit sad how the summary presents him, it's really a bit far away from how he is described in the novel itself. Although those words are true, but when you look at that silly cover it turns nto a bit of a joke.

Recommended to people who like short stories with entertainment elements and a bit of family drama. <<less

Honestly, this story isn't anything new and certainly not complicated. It is your usual fluff and face slapping novel. However I give it a 4.5 just for the good writing. Generally I get bored of this kind of stories, and they aren't captivating enough. Though this was simple, it really charmed me.

This novel follows common tropes, but they're well developed. For example, MC is a ball of sunshine and a kind baby. These types of characters usually are very stereotypical and feel plastic, but MC is so baby!!He's perfect!! I... more>> think because even though he has those personality traits, it's written in a normal way, so you feel he's just a good person. He's not virg*n mary and forgives everyone, or is naive to not see the scheming in the entertainment bussiness/ not be aware of his feelings. Same with ML; he starts the novel severely depressed, and it's not only great to see him slowly enjoying life again, but he genuinely values MC and would do anything for him. Even though feels a bit possessive, he never shows it in a "I'm disregarding your feelings way" (in fact he puts the mc's well being above his insecurities), and the romance is NEVER forced. Romance is slow burn, and I like it! I like the beggining stages of their friendship, I like to see them falling in love, I like their confessing, and their relationship. It feels natural and healthy. Fluff is also not limited to cuddle and kissing scenes, but has lots of heartwarming moments about finding a family in someone else, trust, and loving yourself too.

This is what set this novel apart from many of this genre. It made me connect and care for the characters - a thing a surprising amount of novels fail to do. Because you care about the MCs, you crave for the conflicts and character development (and its delivered well), want to see MC thriving and being rich, and enjoy watching the face slapping (do these people dare harm my son??? Scram!!)

Face slapping also isnt exagerated, and not too absurd so you don't feel like youre watching a mexican soap opera, and translation is really good apart from some typos.

Note: rather than a fluff story, it's a feel-good type of story. There's not much romantic interaction b/w the two, not even at the end.

While it is a little more fantastical than realistic, in the sense that the MC somehow always manages to show up at the right moment (in the ML's darkest moments), and how the villains always (after some time) get their comeuppance (whereas in the real world, villains generally get away with it). However, fantasy is good, because no one wants to read... more>> a harrowing, depressing, realistic fiction.

If there's one thing that made me a bit disappointed, it's the lack of kissing. I'm not even gonna say 'lack of smut' because this doesn't seem to be that type of story, especially considering how toned down the ML is, and how he's pretty much fine just being a good friend as long as he can stay with MC, but I'd have very much liked MORE. (described) KISS. SCENES. You know, more than just a two word description. Or more explicitly, outwardly romantic scenes. All we got were just a few scarce sentences here and there. I really wanted that experience of them as a couple.... : (

Also, ML is the CEO-type, but he's so flawed, that you don't feel that cliche from him. He's just a guy that needs some love and help. He starts out just wanting to die, letting himself wither away, but the MC pulls him away from that. <<less

I dont agree on Rianneko's review but of course it's her/his own opinion and emotions regarding the story.

For me, just like the title I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THE STORY.

I don't want to spoil anything cause every chapter is precious, every moment is precious. This is one of the on going bl that I followed thru mtl. Although its now completed the author updates some epilogues and after story which is very fluffy like the whole story.

The title itself has many meanings. It is just in simple words but this simple words describe the story as a whole, especially the MC. This story is gold and have a lot of lessons. Definitely worth the read.

What I really love the most in this story is the MC. The MC himself experienced hardships and depressing things in life starting when he was a baby but as everyone would say, "there's always gold at the end of the rainbow" (is it right?😂) So I was 'very happy' that our... more>> MC finally meet that gold that he always wanted. I love his characteristics, a soft heart but a strong personality as well. I love how the two of them, MC and ml, fight others to protect each other.

The story is suupeerb! I love the flow of the story even though the relationship between protagonists is slow (which really made me frustrated a bit 😂), I love the fans as well hahaha. The only problen for me is that I really want the story to show the hardships and development of MC in his acting career, it was was quite depicted a bit but I think it is still lacking in this terms. The story only show the development of the MC's works but not the development of MC in his works itself. This is usually the problem in the entertainment plot in a story which is kind of sad because this is what I look up to the most in this kind of story.

Still, I love the story so I will give it a perfect 5/5. <<less

MC and ML both have difficult childhoods and are like fated lovers. I don't the thing with these reborn and dream cannon fodders but thanks for providing slap face material

It's a super slow novel, and there are many parts of the dialogues with the side characters talking about the schedules of the MC and ML that can be easily skipped. I feel that the ML and MC's characters are kind of bland or not quite written in depth as I wanted ... more>>

I found the backstory a bit decadent, it starts out interesting with so many mysteries from ML's past, but then it's all so obvious and happens so coincidentally for the happiness of both that... it's boring, it was cool until the second half.

Romance was what held me here, fluffy and light a slice of life, when they got together I screamed a lot! but... that was it, I thought that after their declaration something in the relationship would change but it just felt like... the same thing? I mean, MC... more>> and ML have a very stable relationship during the friendship phase that it felt like they were already together even though they weren't. After that the author focused a little more on the backstory (and like I said, it sucks).

I read it to the end, but I don't feel it was a satisfactory read, on the contrary, there were other things that bothered me:

- ML has depression and the MC is treated as his savior which is an extremely problematic thought!! But I saw the yandere tag there, so I play blind but the annoyance doesn't go away.
- Weak villains, the first one later becomes friends with MC and I liked that, but the second one just seems like the author forcing a hardship on the MC, but obviously everything works out in the end for MC.

The story is a cute and soft story with many occasions alongs the way. I cant imagine and think out any reason that people would hive this less than 5 or dislike the novel. This novel is really worth the time and I hope I could buy physical book if there any. Its a mix of fluff and comedy with a slightly touched story at the very end.

SO if you hesitating then just GO AND READ! You wont be dissatisfied!

(as for the translation they did a good job the... more>> only bad thing is they are too many typos however it is a free goods so I wont complain much) <<less

totally satisfying to read. I don't expect this novel to be super light, fluffy, and easy to read. When I grow tired reading heavy danmei, this is like oasis. I'm enjoying this more than I thought!

This was an awesome read!! MC is so pitiful, yet at same time happy and optimistic. Such loveable character.

This story is just so wholesome and healing!!

... more>> The ML reminds me of the ML in My husband is suffering from terminal illness. Both showed slowly healing through MCs love. Both novels have almost same rating and based in showbizz.

I loved how there was no fantastical elements, special powers, rebirth, system administrator etc in this story. That is always too much of a cheat imo. 'Just' the extravagant golden finger/protagonist halo of MC.

REMARKS

- zero smut. A kiss and a hug is what you can expect at most, and even that was not explicit at all. Romance is super sweet, but zero s*xual tension

- slowburn but not in frustrating, tedious way, because there was sufficient distraction (plot, face slapping etc) and cp had many sweet moments to keep you happy. They only get together towards the end.

- Satisfying face slapping and MC gaining everything (bf, family, career, friends). Some might think villains are to s*upid and story is too smooth sailing. However, I loved it!

- fair amount of netizens comments. You may like it or not. I can't handle too much of it, but it was still OK here. <<less
