It’s a cute story and super funny.

although the middle gaming part was a bit off a plot filler, the story was not bad and I laughed so much while reading this.

I fee that overall it’s a fast-paced good feeling kind of story. It’s easy to fall in love with both MC and ml, the plot is also good and there were few interesting bits from the beginning. Honestly I don’t have much complains.

I understand that father qian did a lot of mistakes. But the switching kind of... idk it feels... maybe because it’s just used as a tool to move the plot that’s why it’s not explained properly or the process is a bit too hasty.

first off, I think it’s very sad that when father qian decided to change, he lost his son. I think this is karma and well none if it is mc’s fault because tbh he really didn’t owe father qian anything. But it still feels very sad. Especially when describing his mood and fear of holding MC back.

second, it’s kind of scary too how the switch happened so fast. I feel that... it feels kind of unfair for xiaowen.. it’s explained that he took it well and he is calm, but I don’t think that he is calm, in his heart. What makes a family I think is not just biological connection, but also emotionally. When mother zhou said to xiaowen like it’s okay to keep living until high school, it feels, very very upsetting for me.. I know for a fact that truly none of the zhou family owe him anything and they raised him well, but also, emotionally, it feels, idk how to say it, I feel kind of aggrieved?? Upset??

I’m not saying MC shouldn’t come back to the new family but I think it needs to be explained more, there should be more process to it.

It's a fun read and although the topics are heavy, they are told in a light-hearted tone, which helped me bear through the angst and dogblood plot.

I do think this is a yaoi though, not shounen-ai because their relationship is very clear and even known to public. Definitely not just hints of romance.

A highlight of this novel is definitely the characters, including their dialogues and the side characters. MC is especially a very likeable character and it's just fun reading what he's going to do. I also laughed a lot on the side characters especially the little brothers.

MC and ML are very made for each other and I enjoyed their candid talks and dynamic.

I quite like the worldbuilding idea (on how MC transmigrates), but too bad it became too confusing at certain point, and until the end of story I still don't know just what the hell is going on about the

lotus petals and the core jade and the binding.

Nearing the end, things are rather summary-like and very heavy in dogblood and plot holes, but I enjoyed the surprising development and it just made me have to finish the whole thing in one go!

Overall, it's an entertaining read that shouldn't be taken too seriously although some points may hit too close to home. 4.3/5

This is actually so good and so nice! It's so fresh and so unique to read. MC actually wants to go back to his own world and it wasn't just for the sake of it. He's smart and so nice to read, like a sunny next-door neighbor kinda guy. ML is a yandere but just the right amount of yandere that I rather just think he's just possessive than yandere.

The original characters of the novel were also good, they're not annoying or anything (except the main antagonist) and they... more>> turned for the better. I like the topic of mental illness here, and it was not just done in passing.

I also like the reason for their transmigration. It was written very well. I like it :))

What an enjoyable read! The main characters are a delight and are so sweet to each other. The MC actually has a brain (full of holes) and isn't one of those dainty maidens that need saving and is taking advantage of, unlike most danmeis out there. The ML is 100% a yandere, but one who actually CARES about the MC's feelings/opinions and treats his friends well.

The side characters too are lovable and have their own growth. I love how they handled the MC's father (no spoilers, just read!). And all... more>> those silly little brothers... just adorable.

This story is definitely a gem and is a must-read! <<less

Good Fun read. A yandere I can actually like and a proper plot reason about why the transmigration happened.

And! MC never hides that he is a separate 'person' and it's actually hilarious how he keeps doing it.

This is really good!! I lost count of how many times I unconsciously smiled my self silly

This is a really good, light novel! (There were moments that made me laugh really hard, moments that made me feel sad and moments that made me think... ahhh it’s really good to be in love)

Plus! Mc’s personality is such a gem!

So give this novel a try, it’s soooo worth it!

A satisfying read, a complete and well-rounded story, and interesting characters. The MC's truly original ways of thinking were my favorite part of the novel, how he handled his various antagonists, especially in the early stages, was great.

The romance was cute, a little unique.

The pacing was a little wonky - sometimes a bit too fast, sometimes a bit too slow. And for a lot of problems towards the end of the book, instead of fun creative solutions it was just "I have lots of money and minions and can make... more>> all my problems disappear". So only four stars, but still a recommended read. <<less

Great novel, had lots of laugh hahaha so funny and love the romance. Not too heavy of a drama and not dragged to long. Pacing is good for me, this type of novel is what I like the most. Thanks to the translator for the wonderful translation and efforts!! I've already read his/her other completely translated novel and its good too!! Highly recommend!!

Oh god, meant to give it a 4/5.... but novelupdates just doesn't let us edit the star rating... okay, anyways, this was a not bad read? average but also made me laugh at certain scenes. The drama is somehow almost soap opera ish which I don't really like? However they get resolved quite quickly. One downside though, is that everyone has multiple titles/names, making it si confusing at the start. There's plenty of side characters and pretty tough to remember, however, it does get better after a while. Romance wise,... more>> ngl, as much interactions they have, compared to other novels, this one isn't fluffy, however their interactions are still interesting. Villain wise, they're pretty dumb, cannon fodder level, but I wasn't expecting mich anyways. <<less

Interesting characters— and I mean, actually interesting with fantastic dynamics. And by fantastic, I mean both the leads are unhinged and this played off one another really well. ML and MC made me laugh to bits. Like I actually laughed, out loud and in public. Yes, I was wearing a mask but people could still tell.

Even the “canon fodder”— which, you can’t call them anything but canon fodders because they weren’t even really given names, just numbers— had their own little quirks and stories that were nicely tied up.

MC kneww that our ML is a yandere and he gradually fell for him anyways... there was no unnecessary angst or whatsoever... ML chased after our MC and omg there was this one scene it was soo funny I can't😂😂😂😂 the bro and the father of our MC thought that they did the deed on a grass patch😂😂 hahaha

AND I WANT TO ADMIRE OUR ML... HE LEAVES NO ROOM FOR ANY TYPE OF MISUNDERSTANDINGS... ITS SO GOOD TO READ!! even though he has yandere tendencies he is super loving and caring... besides I totally agree with our MCs half sister😆😆

I like this novel a lot! Not only are all the characters really well developed and fully fleshed out, the plot is surprisingly deep for a simple transmigration story. Additionally, this is the first time I've read a novel with a black belly ML who is genuinely willing to give the MC up, if that's what he wants. Very sweet!

- this is a refreshing mature novel without the generic chinese black and white worldview where MC is pure white all the time.
this book makes everyone human without entirely bad or good impressions without making light of their crimes. Like for example the abusive dad.

- the MC is also really smart unlike generic dumb naive mcs, he noticed ML wanting to ask him out and was like aah, hm lets sound him out

i wish the author wrote more and more translators picked up their books

I'm really looking forward to this. I love how the MC took good care of other people, not to OP! He's the whole reason why I'm willing to read this!! Although the ML already shows his possessiveness in the recent chapter, I just hope he won't be too overbearing ahhh.

UPDATE: Had to MTL the rest of its chapters, although it's quite confusing I kinda get the story's point. Regarding with the ML's personality, he's not a bad guy actually. So different from what I expected. I love their relationship... more>> and chemistry. <<less

with plot holes just ignore it <its really gd>

there are many scenarios which cause anxiety

ML has character growth <<MCs charm changes ppl around him>>

i love the way how MCs family took approach about the misplaced kids unlike other novels where they love only one kid

their love life didnt really have any pits it was smooth <except near death experiences >

frnds are awesome they help each other really need such frnds irl QAQ

its fun to read !! oh right I forgot to mention u really liked how MC mentioned that he transmigrated and told about the novel he read to MC instead of dragging it love this one instead of causing blind misunderstandings <<less
