I usually don’t post... after having caught up with the manwha I was already quite taken by the story, I really put my life in pause for a few days reading this.

Definitely seems to me to be one of not the best romance I’ve read, this translator made it an enormous pleasure for the most part, specially enjoyed it when she stopped using the indications of who said what... totally not needed. Im guessing the korean writer is also very skilled in prose. The story flowed like a charm and... more>> was extremely consistent over all. Full of depth, description, character development and very well done suspense.

I sometimes felt that the erotica though enjoyable and thrilling was distracting too much from the plot, but I chose to read this 18+ version for a reason. 40 shades of gray cant hold a candle to the descriptive prowess of ‘Lucia’.
From this work I can see that the author is a true artist. Very knowledgeable and capable of drawing a deep connection with his public.

The translator is quite amazing herself, and did a very thorough, thoughtful and easy to follow job that deserves a high compliment.

I joined at around chapter 40 (where the comic was at chapter 116), im glad the comic seems to be keeping close to the source material.

my only complaint is not enough side stories/epilogue. I felt the author is skilled enough to make a second series based on the life of any of the characters and it would be just as good. I wanted to see a bit of what happens to damian and his crush, and call me pe*verted if you want but him eventually marrying or having an affair with his cousin/sister (evangeline) for the sake of keeping the bloodline going doesnt seem like a terrible plot twist.. <<less

I'm a little surprised at the 5 star ratings. I do like the characters and romance itself.

But damn it gets stale half way through. The smut scenes got tiring at some point because it was rinse and repeat every few chapters.

The whole series is basically 98% slow burn romance and 2% plot outside of that.

... more>> I love a good slow burn romance but there wasn't really anything happening outside of it so there wasn't really a lot of opportunity for proper character development.

There was a lot of unimportant talk about tea parties and 15 mentions of who likes to party and who prefers tea parties.

It reads like a side story most of the time. There's just a lot of words with little happening a lot of the time. <<less

I definitely recommend this novel! I was sceptical whether I want to read it at first since the manhwa seems a bit fast paced for my liking, but I've been seeing comments about how different the novel is compared to the manhwa so I tried it anyways. And I'm glad I did!

As a reader that read the manhwa first before the novel, I say the novel is more detailed and has a more stable pace. Not too fast but also not too slow. I'm totally in love with Lucia and Hugh's dynamic. I love how she's clearly physically weaker but she's the one holding the reigns within their household and I love how mentally strong she is. The MC reciprocating the MLs feelings a bit quickly isn't really my type but I don't mind it here since she's hell-bent on pretending she doesn't love him so Hugh himself doesn't even know her feelings so it's fine and exciting hehehe. I love their chemistry and the character development for most characters not just the main ones even the supporting characters. I also love how in the extras, it's shown that Bruno, her stepson from her "dream" is now almost like their adopted son in this life. I say almost because I don't think he's officially adopted, but he calls Lucia "mother". He's friends with Damian and they work together so they both call her mother which is really cute aaaaa. Lastly, I also love how Lucia's "dream" was explained and how it shows her connection with Hugh even in another life. It shows they're connected by fate and I love it.

Ok I have 3 things to say

1. The main characters story ended beautifully

2. Not much is known about the next generation's life after their son turned 18 (I wish we had learned more about it)

... more>> 3. There are to many regretful things about their ancestor (I cried and it was a beautiful conclusion but certainly not all happy more like they had a closure but that was not fulfilling. I wish there was either a different lifetime or if they had an encouter like lucia/vivian)

All in all it was a great story. I know for sure not everyone will like it but for me it made me cry also made me so happy (and I skipped all snu snu parts so no comment in that). What I want to say is give it a try. And if you started the manhwa read till ch 155 and wished to continue like me start at ch 50 (If you want to get back to the flow start from the 40's) <<less

The tags explain well so you can wait for smut & tons of love by the ML and FL side.

Wow. I usually get bored quickly with any smut I try to read. But goddamn... this novel was special. The smut itself was pretty good, but the story and relationships between characters was glorious. This is a 98% wholesome story with enough small conflict to keep you interested. The main story was intriguing and developed the characters, but the side stories were even more amazing. the ML was first to realize he fell in love but he fell hard !!! He was both possessive and attentive about FL

I loved how events changed in this timeline just because FL helped ML and his son to have a better relationship and knowing that ML would ruin the continent after his sons demise shows us he is not just some northern duke who only loves his wife he cared about his son his subordinates his twin brother and many more people throughout the story and it adds many levels to his character. And I loved it when she remembered they fell in love the first time around too

I've read this several times, because I keep forgetting that I've read it before. It's not to rememberable but it's like binge reading a Harlequin romance occasionally.

While the novel has the makings of a good plot, the execution of the dialogue, details, characterization, and world building are a bit on the weak side. That being said, for a story that focuses mostly on smut, it's great that the plot is written passably enough to be understandably and enjoyable to ignore the the glaring weak points.

If you can get past the... more>> cringeworthy beginning of a FL trying to make her first contract with the ML, it's an easy read of stereotypical domineering CEO type of love. Where the FL was previously victimized, everyone falls in love with her, and the ML just fixes every issue that comes the FL way. Then throw in some ML angst because all domineering CEOs have to have an angsty backstory. In this case, his in*est family traditions.

Overall, I still enjoy it and it has a good amount of smut to entertain most readers. <<less

Read this long ago.

The story is good. Plot is solid and there are no plot holes if I remembered correctly. Lots of smut but in my opinion it doesn't take away from the story. There will be lots of misunderstandings coz no one dares to ask or says things first but oh well... this was still enjoyable to read.

The female being not so multi-talented but was just quiet with a good head on her shoulder hooked me to reading her progression.

It would have been a perfect if the male lead changing for the better wasn't so dreamy.

Well.. It IS Harlequin novel-y, but aren't we into this genre for the same reason Harlequin novels were popular?

Anyways, I'm a fan of the author. I don't think this is her best work. This is running at 8/10 for me, at best.

Plot and character and relationship development flowed well, overall. Sm+t was great, as can be expected from said author, and is probably why Lucia is author's most recognizable novel. I don't have specific complaints.

I wish there was a spinoff novel for the young master / 'son', also in Harlequin... more>> novel fashion. Alas, I can only hope haha <<less

Make sure to read the side stories at the end... especially the last ones, I teared up a little.

Great love story without the common misunderstanding trope. I actually enjoyed the storyline more than the smut scenes.

Was planning to not rate it, considering I decided to drop it just at chapter 5 but decided to just give it the middle rate at the end.

I like the pacing and how the story telling goes, it's just that I have a big bias with the ML as he got two of the top three things I don't like with ML: has another child and womanizer (just below being a scumbag).

And I would manage to gloss over this fact considering the pacing is too good was it not for... more>> MC being too soft that I can already see her acting exactly like those mary sue protagonists in aweful, stockholm syndrome novels. (Which seems to be the case judging from the review, even instantly falling in love 🙈).

I would love it if they had the MC just tired of love and romance (considering her past life) and that being a challenge for ML.

If you have no problem with that, then I recommend trying this out. It's not that bad, as seen how highly rated this is and the lots of positive reviews. However, if you are not comfortable with this elements, take this as your sign to skip this novel. <<less

A girl with strong will to change her fate after go back in time...

It was a good read and I enjoyed it but I wish it was longer to explore the country or world. She stayed most of the time at home in capital or the north almost as housewife/pet.

The bed part was really good ;)

I skipped most of the smut part because it is taken too long.. And weird at times.. But believe me this is not the first novel that I read and found the ML is addicted to the MC private part..! But I can see why it can be happening in the real life.. So I am ok with it.

Seriously if you take all the smut out of the story you would have left only half of the novel. It’s not a long read if you skipped all those like me..... more>> It took me 3 days to finish the whole novel.

I like the story line a lot though. Whatever question popped up while you are reading always be answered one way or another. The way the story developed is somewhat confusing at times but it can be overlooked.

I don’t want to spoil anything here. But just want to confirm that it is worth the time reading it and this is my first review on this site. <<less

Highly recommended!!!

I'm not a fan of this genre, but wanted to try something new and bang!!! I'm craving for more... Two leads are just perfect. Both of them are strong and I really loved that, specially the FL, she could always protect herself. Plot was also good, an interesting one, slow pace but not boring.

This is one of the best novels I've read!!! Just read this and you'll know, it takes only 2, 3 chapters to get addicted!!!

The story is nice. I could do without the smut, but that's is my opnion.

The MC actions make sense, most of the time. Maybe a negative is the ML develops feelings fast, from initialy seeing the MC as interesting to the only person to him after one night. But it could be worst I guess.

Overall had some good laughs and a nice ending.

If you like smut and romance with a little bit of magic, then this may be your thing. Just be ready to get somewhat pissed with the leads... more>> some times.

PS. Who the f-ing is Ted? You just can not hint a romance and leave at that. Most of the supporting cast had a happy ending, you should not do that to me author! <<less
