I just read machine translation so some details may be incorrect.

To put it plainly like the title, it's a story of a great being descending to lower world, so MC is really powerful, Those who dislike OP MC theme should avoid this.

The story starts with MC who got caught in space time accident following the ending of Nano Machine, ... more>>
Spoiler

he arrived at modern era, the world obviously more advanced than his time but the power of martial artists has regressed for some reason, so he never has to use full power to deal with them but the technology also didn't reach the point where it's possible for time travel yet, there's also the gate which monsters would come out, as MC trying to get used to the foreign world, he found out that world is the same world 1000 years later from where he's gone missing and the heavenly demon order has dissolved over 20 years ago because of an unfortunate incident and the remnants of the order is fighting among themselves, making it impossible to rebuilt the order, MC then proceed to take extreme measure to unite the people, punish his descendants based on their sins and regains the glory of the order.

between those activities, he also found out that the descendant who gave him the nano machine gave up on returning to the far future and send 3 mc's people holding the code to the location of time machine with hibernation, but some mysterious group is interfering with it (disturbing the hibernation), MC saw the recording of his descendant trying to make a time machine although he already take measures to send available device to MC, he unable to complete it in his time so he trying to create A.I by transfering his knowledge to a supercomputer (MC feeling bad after he saw the recording of his descendant crying in pain because he's nearing death), but something wrong must has happened as that A.I suspected to be in the hands of that mysterious group.

Among those problem, the creatures from the gates also become issue, MC found out those creatures who look similar to humans called the demon clan has been infiltrating human society to search for specific treasures which is necessary to ascend the empty throne in their world, MC happened to hold some of the treasures, after the battle with the current demon king who suddenly showed up after leaving the throne empty for a long time, MC found the truth in the dead memories that the current king has dissatisfaction with the former king about humans, the former king fond of humans while the current king think of them as livestock, as the former king injured in a fierce battle with other race leader, the current king take advantage of that and throw the former king into the gate of earth hoping he would be destroyed in gate travel or die among humans he likes, some time later, the current king curious about the former king and decide to confirm his death, but when he arrive at the earth he saw the former king still alive and adapted being human, MC see the truth that the former king is his ancestor the founder of heavenly demon order, the ancestor beat the current king until almost dead and kicked him back to their original world.

As the conflict with the creatures from beyond the gates solved, MC informed by them that the gates opened everywhere on earth is caused by damaged planet defense core, it's caused by the long standing enemies of them (from what I understand about their description, with white wings and such, they're angels, I'm not sure if their name is literally angel clan) they intended to take over the earth, MC decide to wipe out the enemies who caused disturbance on earth and repair the damaged defense core, while the mysterious group is up to something creepy again, as you can expect with bio-criminal company who use their advanced knowledge to do various human experimentation, they clone human, made genetically enhanced human (even 1 of mc's people kidnapped in his hibernation and wake up with modified body), creating nano bomb to control and kill people etc.)

MC eventually found the truth about the mysterious group, the descendant who created A.I is betrayed by someone who helps him, that traitor made the A.I fully free from human control and they ended up killing the descendant who already suffered from illness, but the greedy traitor wanted all advanced knowledge and decide to extract it from the descendant's brain, fortunately they failed, they has a purpose to create a god using the A.I, with angels involvement, they create a vessel for the angel's leader (maybe his body injured badly like the former king in their fight), the thing with combination of persona of A.I and angel's leader then show up bringing chaos to the world, even MC has a hard time fighting it, this is a rare time when he seems humane as he reveal his feelings that he didn't want to go to a new world, he didn't mind not getting stronger if he can return to his original place and then his ancestor (soul?) help him destroy the enemy.

MC then found the room with his descendant's brain, among the deceased's property, there's code for MC saying 'where our relationship began', MC realise the location of the time machine and go pick it at the place he first met his descendant, founding it means the permanent separation from this world timeline and he can't bring anyone back, they have emotional goodbye, MC told them to take care of the order, half of the planet defense core has been repaired, the gates stopped appearing on some continent, MC told them to cooperate with the demon clan to repair the rest of it, MC returned to his time and only 3 days has passed since he gone missing although he has spent a few months on that other timeline, he already emotional from separation with the future people, when he saw his lover again and others face overlap with his people that got leave behind, he teared and hug his lover for a while.

There's some side stories after that but it's fine even you didn't read it, some may not like it after all.

Already caught up and done with the prequel. Nano machine ended with a cliffhanger where the MC finds himself in future worldline. The story is pretty good and it feels like you are in a journey with MC witnessing his growth until he became a heavenly master. Though he is self-righteous at some point I like the consistency of his ideals and his main strength, his cleverness. If you are reading this, I congratulate you for coming this far. Let's go and read this sequel. I hope it has a... more>> happy ending with MC reuniting with his demonic clan. <<less

Overall, this novel is a sequel to nano mashin/machine which is wholly continuous from its prequel. On its own it started out on rather unsteady footing, but seems to be going in the right direction. But the future of the novel doesn't seem entirely clear, it might go well like it's prequel, or it might end up being a power scaling nightmare. Gate/hunter fiction seems to be the craze for most Korean novels these days, but this novel seems to be putting a slight (but only slight) twist on the... more>> genre, which is a little disappointing from a world building standpoint. <<less

Among the best I've read.

I read the prequel nano mashing and then this one. They are of the same great quality.

If you like an intelligent main character that doesn't make idiotic decisions or is swayed by strange righteousness, this is it.

... more>> There is great side characters development, with full chapters about them, with their own lives and goals.

The enemies are great as well, with some s*upid ones, but some really interesting ones, so interesting that we can sympathize with them.

The way the mains character deals with things is really thorough too. He takes firm decisions e doesn't sway. Even parting from beloved ones, he cries, but goes without hesitation.

Among the top of my list. <<less

This is a nice sequel that stays true to its core, featuring an overpowered protagonist who travels 1000 years into the future to the year 2069. He slowly explores the changes in the world and his cult, with the ultimate goal of traveling back to the past. The story doesn't stray from this goal, as he must clean up his cult, government, opposing organizations, and secret organizations to achieve it.

The MC never has a hard time dealing with enemies; he doesn't deliberately hide his power, but neither does he flaunt... more>> it. Most of the time, it isn't that he cannot beat his enemies but he cannot find them, so he has to extract information from whoever he can. Although the fights can get a little repetitive, the mysteries behind the secret forces of the world kept me engaged.

The development of some of the side characters was decently done. The ending wasn't rushed, and it was even expanded with side stories.

In my opinion, this is a solid 4/5 stars. <<less

Worse than the prequel Nano mashin. MC is already the strongest human in the prequel. And in this sequel we see him go to an alternate timeline where cultivators are even weaker than in the past. This means every fight is over as soon as MC decides to act. He still has an uncountable number of opponents because every other cultivator seems to have negative IQ.

The ending also just seems to forget about certain people and doesnt even Show anything about the future that MC wanted to change.

Actual score 3.5 (but 3 stars is fine if it were considered a paperback novel).

I said on the prequel's review that I would read this novel and review it as well, and so I'm doing it now. Overall, it's a decent novel. Like I mentioned in prequel's review, I came for it for harem/polygamy tag's sake, and just like with the prequel, it doesn't deliver, but is still pretty good (i.e. I wanted to read a harem novel, and this one isn't much of one, but it's still good enough... more>> for me to stay and finish reading it). Take this into account depending on your reasons to read this novel.

So overall, the setting is good. I like the idea of merging murim setting with dungeon/gate setting (I bring them up together because they're often very similar; there weren't any actual dungeons here). Maybe it wasn't the best, but I was content with it as I read.

The plot was also good. As mentioned, I wanted to read a novel about a badass with a harem, but ended up reading a novel about a badass that has a harem off-screen, pretty much. The plot wasn't stellar, but it was pretty good. Of course, not in all parts. Just like with the prequel, there were good and bad arcs in this novel. In this one, I think the first half (one-third?) has the most parts with crappy plot. It's mostly parts from before the protagonist orients himself in the future world. Once things become clear and characters from the future become established (and some more stuff I won't mention - coz spoilers - happens), the plot gets better. I also like that the author didn't become tempted to make a "happy" ending for everyone, and didn't force the plot to make a better ending. It resulted in a much more natural ending.

The protagonist, as I said, is a badass. He doesn't different much from who he was at the end of the prequel in terms of character. What I like is that he constantly gets stronger despite starting out very strong in the sequel. Like, he either searches for ways to get stronger or makes use of opportunities to becomes stronger instead of being complacent with his strength. It's thanks to this that he wasn't easily outmatched in the novel. It's also good that he doesn't wait for things to happen, and he is one of main forces driving the plot instead.

Other characters are pretty much the same as in prequel. The author unfortunately failed to improve much in writing characters in general.

In particular, harem is just as tr*sh. The writing barely got better compared to the prequel in that sense. Big disappointment, the author learned nothing.

I think this is where the author's greatest weakness lies. He has no idea how to add depth to character. We should be shown their motivations, aspirations, feelings... but if we are shown anything, it's very superficial. I suppose it's better than cringe "tell instead of showing" that newbie authors do, but better isn't good in this case. For example, one of MC's motivations in the sequel was to return to original timeline and reunite with his wife. He should at least think about her and miss her throughout the months that pass in the story. It only happens once at the end of the novel, however, and only because he "sees" her due to some power up or enlightenment or something. Not even something he did of his own volition. Meh. (Sorry for minor spoilers, but I don't think they're important).

Overall, a good read (but not amazing). I definitely recommend for those who like murim and modern setting gates/dungeon novels. I don't recommend if you only came to read for harem/polygamy like I originally did. It'll be a waste of time. <<less

Nothing really all that spectacular, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. The MC whose strength has already reached the known peak, falling into a future world where everybody is weaker than him as he tries to find a way back home. Even as the enemies seemingly become stronger, they’re still overwhelmed while the MC only uses a bit of his power. Simply OP, facing hardly any trouble until the very last chapter. Nice read for those who like a MC who ruthlessly tramples everything underfoot. I’d recommend reading the first novel... more>> though, hard to follow this story otherwise. <<less

A sequel to Nano Mashin/ Machine so if you did not read the prequel, you will be missing many of the fine details. This novel seamlessly picked up where Nano Machine left off and our MC found himself stuck in the distant future. The plot and setting were rather ordinary and I believe the prequel's were way better. There was not much tension/ excitement compared to the prequel's as the MC was ridiculously OP. Overall, a decent read but finishing it proved to be a slight struggle. Would have given... more>> it a 3.5 star were that an option. <<less

A nice sequel and continuation of the story.

The author took the murim influence on the world seriously and has noticable changes.

That said fights/people appear out of no where and the MC never struggles. MC has no real interest in the world so the interesting parts never get explored.

That said it you enjoyed the original you'll likely enjoy this new addition.

Spoiler

Its a little funny how unnecessary the entire conflict was. Even if he got s**ked into the future without a time machine, hes basically immortal. Could literally have waited for the invention before returning right on schedule.

Would of made for a less interesting story though lol

This book is great.

Read the prologue first, it would be a waste to jump straight into this.

Great story, but it would be better to count it as just straight up further chapters of the original book.

Love it, MC is great, actually cruel and never a moment of softness, which is great with how soft "demonic" cultivators usually are.

If you want an OP MC who ruled people through fear and being the strongest while questions and mystery being uncovered as he continue with his way to fixed his sects that is on the brink of being ruined, then this is for you.

So far the MC who is a cold-blooded man had also affection which is solely for his people who's loyal and faithful to him so I enjoyed it through the end. Well I won't say that much, I like the story so read it too if you're... more>> interested then its up to you to decide and criticize. But to me, I love it and feel satisfied. 😊❤️ By the way, the MC is not a person who'll get smitten by thot so no worries. <<less

Sequel to Nano Machine where the protagonist is transported to the distant future where Nano came from and has to find a way to go back to his time.

The story is basically "OP MC crushing ants while looking for answers to go back home". Any and all development of the character was made in the previous series, so here he's just cruising through. While villains have fairly interesting backstories and some even decent plans against the protagonist at the end of the day it doesn't really matter since he just... more>> powers through it and calls it a day, and there's only so much you can do with that without the formula getting stale, at least it doesn't overstay it's welcome.

My actual rating would be around 2.5, it's a very mediocre series overall, and straight-up 1 as a standalone but rounded to 3 due to entertainment value being OK if you're too deep in the power fantasy rabbit hole and have previous knowledge of its prequel.
