A must read. The story has a rather unique development and ramps the power gradually. But its earned. The main character really works himself to the bone for his power ups. The ending is a bit rushed but its kinda sweet. Enjoy it.

This is one of the best level grinding novels ever written.

The characters in this novel isn't extremely completed, but they're not one dimensional either. The relationship the characters developed for the protagonist is natural instead of seemingly forced like other leveling focused novels.

The character interactions is what I like the most about this novel. The interactions between characters provides for most of the comedic affects of this novel, and they are written so well it's hard to find fault in it.

The world building is also pretty good. One think that... more>> annoys me is how the author likes to use forced events to forcefully level up side characters to make them relevant since the protagonist is too op. This destroys the leveling system, which is one of this novels foundation.

Personally, I enjoy reading this novel more than I did tr*sh of the Count's Family, but the world building and character interactions of TCF is much better than EER. If the ranking system allows for more room, then I'll most likely rank TCF above EER, but I still highly recommend you to read this book. As this book is one of the most enjoyable ones out there. <<less

Struggling to finish it, but persisted just to see if the author went monogamy or harem, and as expected: it's harem.

It gets boring now and then, I skimmed and skipped, the story is pretty good, but I hate the harem route lol. The stats are quite annoying, since I don't even remember his last stats, but gotta applaud the author & translator for diligently persisting in those numbers and titles.

It seems so shallow to feel annoyed just because of the harem ending, but really, it happened to me. That new... more>> world of his would be filled with his seeds only, lol, because

even his daughters wanted to be his wifes. Hm. Reminds me of homeless cats and dogs. Even endangered animals would go extinct with so much inbreeding, but oh yes he is almighty so everything will be ok

I'm genuinely confuse what's the big deal about this novel. Why is it even get this much attention is a question to me. May be they just advertise it a lot. But the idea of the story itself doesn't make sense to me. Left behind by everything. I think this is a meme novel. Definitely not recommended.

Beginning is rather good

But as story goes further it is clear that only MC and his cronies actually given the edge. Their enemies are just witless fools.
Spoiler

Things got worse considering his enemies are beings that supposedly transcended mortals and lived thousands or even tens of thousand years already.

I feel so much misleaded by the picture used as the cover. The cover made me thought alone in an apocalyptic world and much more psychological content in the story. But I didn't see any of it other than MC being super sharp about everything else other than romantic feelings. The denial is just unpleasant as he progressed to be more handsome.

This novel...i will say right now its not a masterpiece. Its an ungodly power fantasy thats just more or less MC beats everyone because why the f*ck not. Its at the same time unique, yet nothing special. Its got intresting ideas, yet fails to execute them well. Its romance as lacking as it may be might just be the best part of the story for me and my god it annoys me that the MC can beat characters 2 wholr tiers above him. So then why did I give it... more>> 5 stars. To be blunt its cause I had fun. On paper it should suck. A story that just has the MC win for no reason in a situation where all logic says otherwise should suck and yeah it does, but it just has something about it that made me have fun. That something is the characters. I said the romance was lacking, but what made me like it was the characters that were just fun. Their interactions were intresting. The lore behind the story is also quite intresting. The epilogue could have used some more chapters (to add the world building just s**ked). I love what happened to the characters and where they ended up, but the ending itself was rushed as hell.

From all of this you can probably tell that looking at this story in an objective way isnt really the best decision. If I had to be objective then I would say its very meh and I would say its worthy of a 3 or 4 at best. But I cant say I didnt enjoy myself.

With that in mind I would like to add that this story itself shows of all the problems of chinese and korean power fantasy stories. Not all of them, but some go way too deep into grinding and events that mobody wants to read about. I honestly dont read novels for their action and I disslike reading action scenes for no reason. To me in a novel its important to have a good reason to have an action scene and to make it as short and simple, whilr still being a good fight. No fight in a novel (unless its a big war fight or something) should go over 2 chapters. What novels should focus on more is character interactions and side characters in general.

Ending statement... go read the villain wants to live or ending maker. Both are perfect examples of what I believe to be good, high quality isekais. They dont focus on fighting every and getting stronger every single chapter and if you are looking for a new series to read, then try them instead. That said if you can turn of your brain and enjoy a dumb as hell story, then go with this one. Its still worth the read even with all the complaints I got for it. <<less

150 chapters or so, and is nowhere near what a kid would expect for a story with few hundreds chapters to progress like, which is, nothing really.

It only changes the places he is fighting, and also the things' names he is crafting, in more than a quarter of the novel, is only that, but author is forcibly trying to make you feels is progressing, however when sometime passes and everything's the same you realize he has no sh*t what he doin'. Because he forgets things that suddenly pop-out whenever he... more>> "feels" it isn't too much text in his chapter, and that, oh boy how crude.

Women? Insta interested, no reason, just from having a scene where they talk to their friend, to a couple seconds later when meeting the MC, they all change, LAME.

Men? They all for the purpose of comedy, and like that other dude said, koreans really need to considerate what they want to write about, i've read "My Disciple Died Yet Again", it was mostly humour and its author was nice having the -real deal- popping out when it was starting to get without a path, no sense and no clear mindset, UNLIKE any chapter of this one, this one is a hopeless one, every paragrap is meant for the next joke, such chapters are all SUCH jokes.

So, humour is not even the basics, is just foolery non-stop and hungry sluts being "faaauuunnnyyy HAH HAH".

There's no story, there's only toika writing a note, that there is- there was. And like that over and over, and like that characters are paper, while the MC is water- unreadable, 'cuz is all about the next joke after the last joke, meaning, 2 small paragraphs ago.

Be honest, do you think those 5* % are honest, sincere? I'd accept a 40% 4* and 50% 3* and the rest divided, because is just a novel of things that EVERYONES knows about, and have the same sense a parody these days have, delusional.

Didn't wanted to have ANYTHING with this novel but, I forgot; the novel's quite pretentious, oh, it's korean too! What a coincidence!

Always. <<less

I like the story, read it when still on going back then. This one of the early novel that start my journey in digging many other novel.

Read it again now, still good for laugh.

It's true if you have read many other story, this story may seem generic, but it has it's own charm.

It's have a good premise, with not so bad plot line, with standard JPNovel romance, enough funny moment to make me laugh when reading it again.

The best part is it's completely translated already, so no cliffhanger.

Fun binge read, dont expect anything more.

Has a great initial premise that pretty much carries you through the rest of the story.
It's entertaining 'getting stronger' story through most of it besides maybe the repeated 'crafting' parts, just skim through em.

I'm not a fan of game-like stats and skills in stories but I got past it, your mileage may vary.

The ending is a little underwhelming as the power creep gets crazy and any kind of stakes are undercut just by how light hearted the whole novel is.

Don't come to this for any kind of serious read.

This is just plain, and boring. I don't recommend this book.

Spoiler

The first few chapters in the 1000 year arc was the best but it just went down hill from there. He has no struggles or many amazingly smart moves. Everything is just so easy for him. It just turns into a basic power leveling book. Overall it's just boring.

After reading too many books, I've now come to a conclusion that anything that has a "comedy" tag on it is generally rated 1-2 stars higher than it should be. This is another one of those. Writing good humour that feels natural is a very rare skill. This one would have made me laugh if I was a 5th grader.

The author seems like he wants to go to great lengths to justify his book's logic to the readers, but I never understand how authors think readers are fools. Good logic... more>> and solid reasoning don't need any explanations. The readers will believe it automatically because it'll feel natural.

Also one other point that most LN/WN authors miss. Any story has to have a purpose. That purpose should be an end goal that the story will aim at, and it should be built fairly early on. Without that a book is not a book, just abstract collection of fictional elements. <<less

Very good read. I admit there were times, I wanted to skip some chapters but I can't remember a single novel where you don't get the same feeling at some point. The concept was a first for me i.e. First novel that I read with this concept. The characters were great and likeable. The ending was not your typical ending but comedic and fresh. Not a big fan of harem but good to see that the author wrapped all that up in 4 afterstories. Highly satisfying and would highly recommend... more>> anyone who hasn't read it even though most people here have already read it. ✌️ <<less

I have no idea what does low star ratings all about, but I gotta say that this novel was an enjoyable read, I never stop reading this and go to a different book.

This novel had lots of funny elements and the ending was superb.

Some may say that its too predictable but I say its not really that so.

If you like one punch man they you will like this, OP with a funny quirky MC and yes the angel and MC get to be together.

A really happy ending

This story’s word building as descriptive aspects is done extremely well. The references to different media was refreshing. Now for the negatives. The romance in this novel equates to: all the females love the protagonist. Now that’s a completely normal aspect of a myriad of new stories of different media, however the conclusion is the biggest factor. How will you deal with it? I’ve seen it done many ways, but the way this author dealt with it was lazy and uninteresting. Simply ... more>>

having everyone love and marry the protagonist sometimes for absolutely no reason is not romance. It’s the reason SAO was despised and the reason this novel comes across as a 17 year old writing a fanfiction about all the girls in his home room.

The novel starts of extremely good and is really enjoyable to read. You can really feel the MC's hardwork and workaholic nature and his struggles and so when he finally gets what he wants, whether ranking up or getting a skill, it gives off a hugely satisfactory feeling at the point. Not only that, you can also feel the struggle of other characters to a certain extent like Yumir, Liera and joy when their goal is achieved and it is precisely this reason that makes it so frustrating when the... more>> author spoon-feeds power to some of the girls in MC's harem. For example, so many characters including those mentioned above work so hard, yet some, one specifically, gets buffed up for no reason. No itsn't that she didn't work hard, but her hardwork pales in comparison to MC and others yet still just nonchalantly gains power and the author also comes up with some s*upid reason. Now about the harem, there are some girls in the harem that I extremely like Liera because their character is well written imo, but the main problem is about the author's conflict whether he wanted to make this a harem or not. Because after the MC got together with girl, another girl continuously made advances on him even when the MC said I have someone else and it isn't just one or two times. It becomes just plain s*upid and ruined the fun for me. And when the author reached the end, he made it harem and gave a crap reason such as " I have a reached a new realm and my views changed". It is clear that the harem is well not well thought out at all. And finally the action scenes and comedy, in the beginning they were both separate but extremely well written and at the end by chapter 310, battle scenes were filled with jokes and the jokes used were redundant and repetitive so quality dropped a lot to me. Upto chapter 250 it was 5 stars but when the author started to switch to harem and used repetitive jokes along with some other things mentioned and not mentioned above, the story became a 3* <<less

The one thing that brings the story down for me would be the harem ending, but maybe that's because I spent the first section of the novel theorizing.

Throughout the novel, the MC is seen to enjoy work for than romance, and he's a determined and hardworking character, which I appreciate as I quite relate to that myself.

Read the spoiler box for my ridiculous and completely incorrect theory I made while reading:

Spoiler

Call me crazy, but I think the MC gives of ase vibes at times. He's smothered in attention from two beautiful angels and isn't even attracted to them in the slightest. It's stated that they raised his standards for beauty, but not that he was ever attracted to them. At some stage, I started thinking it might be nice if the author chose to make him an as*xual character, as it would actually suit the story quite well and plausibly, and I would love the idea of a character being represented as something other than a heteros*xual male with a harem.

If he ended up getting into a relationship with Lita, he would only feel pure romantic attraction rather than sexual, which wouldn't break the laws or heaven as nothing of that sort would ever happen.

Alternatively, if he was aromantic and asexual, it would explain why he feels not even romantic attraction to any of the female leads for a good deal of the novel, and could be used to comedic effect when he has all these girls hitting on him. Perhaps maybe, even his lack of romantic interest means he doesn't enter a relationship at all. But that's okay, because his platonic love for his angel friends would be wholesome af.

But nevertheless, it appears I had just been overthinking it, as of around chapter, the MC starts to reciprocate their desires and move towards a harem ending. Oh well. The theory was intriguing while it lasted, and it was fun trying to predict where the story would go romantically.

Although I may have been the only one thinking this way, I appreciated the MC's lack of interest towards women and his dedication to his work throughout the early parts of the novel, and found it to be an interesting dynamic on it own.

Even in this scenario:

"Do you want to be friends? Oh, ones that can develop into something else later."
"No."

Yu IlHan replied with a smile. The hesitation-less sharp answer made even the Na YuNa sweat.

"Do you have ED?" (Editor: A certain dysfunction)
"I'm normal."
"Or you like men?"
"No."
"Then why?"
"Do I really need to spell it out for you?"

Yu IlHan walked towards the elevator and pressed the button. The elevator that connected the first and 14th floor came up very quickly.
The doors opened, and Na YuNa went in with a disbelieving face. Only at that time did Yu IlHan speak.

"I don't really like miss Na YuNa so much."

He's just not interested on her, as the pretty much all of the female leads. And just because he doesn't like men, doesn't mean he like women either. He can simply like neither. Thus, asexual.

[collapse]

Other than that, I will say that the protagonist is definitely OP. But once you accept that and move past it, it's an amusing novel to kill time with. I sometimes like things that are repetitive and smooth sailing, and I sometimes like to laugh at how OP protagonists end up so far off the scale of normal to the point where the people around them have their sense of normal put into question. Anyway, best advice is not to read too seriously, it makes for an entertaining read with a bit of humour, and it was nice to see an OP protagonist with a hard-working nature. <<less

100 chapters later im still reading this. For the most part im really enjoying this. Adding a star!

Will give more info with more chapters under my belt but so far if you don't mind harem it's a really good read. ___
First review
So far the story is unique enough to be fairly entertaining. The few bits I dislike aren't big enough deals to really mention.

BUT

The translator, though they started off fine, but with a monologue at the end of each chapter, has now taken to commenting throughout the chapter, constantly breaking the forth wall and being very distracting.

I'll update this review when I finish the story.

This is the best novel I've read so far (as of now I've read around 20 novels or so) and it honestly surpasses the other novels. The main character is likeable, determined, not afraid to injure or kill those that threaten the safety of his loved ones or his planet overall, he's smart and although he is dense, we actually get a reason as to why he's dense (lack of self-esteem in regard to how others perceive him basically) which is pretty extraordinary for novels these days.

The other characters (Side... more>> characters, MC's entourage, love interests, etc..) are all well-though out, believable and most importantly their personalities are well-developped througout the story, the author goes in depth with every "important" character's story and envolvement with the MC, the female characters around the MC are not immediatly interested in him or immediatly fall in love with the MC but slowly get to love him and express their feelings and the MC is the kind of the same, rather he's pretty loyal to the ones he actually shows affection to, so his romantic feelings are even slower to develop, making it again, rather coherent and realistic so the harem aspect of the story is welcomed. The villains are not all your typical idiotic antagonists and are actual characters that you can show interest towards even though they oppose the MC.

The comedy is honestly gold and meme worthy. The actual storyline is smooth, the pacing is not too fast or too slow so that you don't loose interest in it and you don't feel it's rushed. The action scenes are depicted very well and are actually thrilling.

To summarize it in numbers:

Main Character: 10/10

Side Characters: 10/10

Romantic Plot: 10/10

Power Scaling: 10/10

Storyline: 10/10

Comedy: f*cking gold/10

World Universe Building: 10/10

Overall Rating: Damn this story is f*cking great/10

Seriously guys, read it. You're gonna be in for a great ride.

Thanks Author for such a masterpiece. <<less
