Fourteen-year-old Su Bei almost died when she caught a high fever, got transmigrated into another world, and finally figured out a shocking truth—it turned out that her original world she was just a novel and her whole family were villains.

The woman who gave birth to them was the cannon fodder in the novel. She and Su Xiaobao were written like this in the extra chapter: One was a little bastard who tried to bully the male lead’s daughter and eventually got thrown into prison and the other one became an escort who, after having failed to seduce the male lead, was killed by an evil director. They also have a dad whom they never met and was the biggest villain in the book.

Back to her original world, the first thing Su Bei did was to take Su Xiaobao and find their father.

Su Bei: Su Xiaobao, quick, call him.

Su Xiaobao: Call him what?

Su Bei: Call him dad.

Su Xiaobao: I don’t want to, do it yourself.

Su Bei: Dad!

Looking at these two dirty children in front of him, Mr. Qin’s eyes showed disgust.

If you're just looking for a fluffy family and a quick read, then this story was quite enjoyable. I love love love the relationship between the twins, though I wish there was equal emphasis on both twins and everyone wasn't just focused on the girl. I enjoyed the cute moments between dad and the twins too. Other than those, everything else was kind of meh.

Okay, so there is a novel almost the exact of this one and I read that before this one however while I really enjoyed the other one I couldn't do the same with this one.

I found out the start was great however I lost interest after 70+ chapters. The father daughter relationship was cute the sibling bond was awesome however when I saw as expecting the father son dynamic to give us more stuff. Nothing. It was instead awkward and bland.

It had a lot of potential tbh however unlike how... more>> much I liked the other novel I couldn't like this that much. I had to skip towards the end for this after 70+ chapters. <<less

initially wanted this to add this to my favorites list but I was still halfway finished I still needed to know if it relly is worth it but yeah not happening.

i did not finished. I was getting nervous with one character's interest with the underaged fl. I decided to read the spoilers and by god was I glad. Nope.

not putting up spoiler bc people need to know the pedophilia. The grooming.

he fell for her when she was fourteen which at first I can excuse since he didn't know she was... more>> but when he found out, he even seeked help. Which good. But then the author decided to go for a timeskip and I got suspicious. Yep. My gut was right.

one can excuse historical novels. But modern day? Hard no.

regardless of the fact that FL is mentally mature. We must adhere that to the eyes of the world, they met when she was 14 and became close friends.

that is how grooming tends to start out as.

i'd give this one star but I did enjoy the family bonding but yeah it hit my bottomline. I wish they met when she was 18 or older but the author choose to have them meet at 14. So yeah, don't like that. <<less

its translated well and its a good read to pass time. The writing also isnt bad, and its entertaining if you dont pay too much attention to close detail. Also, the plot is quite unique and the dad is doing a good job (especially for fl). I really enjoyed reading the extras too.

HOWEVER.

the story centres entirely around fl, who is a mary sue. This wouldnt be something I consider completely bad if all the other characters werent simply used to make her appear great. Her brother and father... more>> compete for her constantly which imo is just, excessive, it would be a better read if they all got along nicely and characters were developed a little more than just fl's simps or enemies. She is beautiful and clever and good at hacking and also the piano and all the close males in her life are protective about her - its a bit tiring to be honest.

there is also the romance, which didnt really appear until the last few chapters, and I found it a bit unnecessary as the novel could have ended well without it.

overall its an okay read. Not the worst out there but probably more to pass time than anythign else. <<less

The story is super family friendly. It’s about family bonding. So please don’t expect much faceslapping or romance. It’s a light read and funny and cute. I love the family trio. How dad and brother spoil the only girl on their family and how our MC treat both of her dad and twin brother. MC is smart, sweet, a bit of Mary’s sue.

Spoiler

the original male lead and female lead and their daughter are terrible people overall.

This novel is not bad if you are looking for some light fluffy read without much brain power input.

Spoiler

Pros:

  • The twins were brave, intelligent and tried to over come their difficulties the best they could at any given time. They went to look for they father to raise them but did not expect more.
  • I liked the gradual development of father-children relationship. Even if the MC is deliberate at the start in treating father Qing cutely & obediently, she tried her best to deepen their family feelings and did not take the dad as only a money bag. Even the son was so cute whit this teenage temper :) They interaction was so warm and fluffy.
  • Daddy Qin was really cute and wish such a caring father for everyone.

Cons:

  • At the start it was still all right, but as the story progressed, all the protagonist became too OP which gave me a bit of ridiculous feeling. They defeated the villain in the first half of the novel so it was a bit boring afterwards.
  • I didn't like the different screen time for the twins. While the sister received all the screen time, the brother was there only by the way as if to show how good the MC was. I really wanted to have his character developed better.
  • However I think, I really cannot approve the romance ending. Even if I know it's only a novel, he was 7y older than the MC and already a working adult versus an innocent girl.. they are bound to have enormous differences in mentality. To think that the love interest deliberately integrated himself in her & her family's life with ulterior motifs, afterwards as soon as she reached adulthood confessed and used her naivety to snatch her form the cradle before she has time to truly find herself and develop in society... Sorry, it's incredibly creepy and not at all romantic. However good is his character, it's still not acceptable and Daddy Qin should protect his daughter from him.

I really enjoyed this novel, and especially the extras. Perhaps I'm not feminist enough, but I had no problems with the gendered way the dad treated the twins (must pamper daughter, temper son). He eventually shows that he actually loves both of them, and the FL is so strong she never actually becomes spoiled. Would this be the right way to treat children in real life? No, of course not. But it's a novel and I find all the pampering absolutely adorable, and a funny contrast to the ridicule for... more>> the brother.

That said, I found this novel to be wonderfully fluffy. It's healing to read about how the FL manages to turn around her life, work hard to build a better future for her family, and learn to open her heart to her father. The siblings' relationship is so protective of each other. The romance I think is done perfectly, if a bit rushed (I get the sense the author didn't know how to write slice of life). The love interest realizes his feelings early on, but restrains them until both are old enough, and his feelings have been confirmed as genuine. I think the love development is actually very reasonable, and I love how it's based on fl's intelligence, not appearance. <<less

I wasted my entire night, just to he creeped out and disappointed.

Spoiler

If you're going to make time jumps that are that jarring, you could have at least made it so she wasnt being hit on by a 24 year old at 18. She didn't need to be engaged at college graduation.

it's a sweet story about family love but I feel something lacking, like thrill. Their life is so smooth because su bei and the dudes is so OP. Sometimes I want a lil more conflict to happen, but I still like their sweet and lovely interaction. I just don't understand how could they adapt to their role (father-daughter-son) like that, well su xiaobao show some reluctance at first, but deep down he acknowledge qin shao as his father. These story with instant family always looks interesting and weird at the... more>> same time on how human's emotion work. Well it's just a story.

anyway, these story focused on su bei's life development, I was hoping for su xiaobao's more scene, like it's okay if the author only showing more of his greatness. I know that because of her experience in another world, su bei learned a lot of things that made her OP, but xu xiaobao originally has a lot of potential. The author made su xiaobao character's setting just to set a rivalry between xu minxuan, and he barely did nothing in the story except having good grades (tho still less than su bei) and playing game with friends. Where su bei did a lot of project and competition, that's not fair in my opinion. Qin shao really dotes su bei since she's so open in showing her affection for him, but HEY I WANT MORE INTERACTION BETWEEN SU XIAOBAO AND HIS DAD OKAY. Sigh, seriously their business project got a lot more attention than su xiaobao's life. Just why did you do that?? *Crying*

i know su bei is the main character, but still no.

the villain and the annoying passerby are so brainless that I didn't really feel the face slapping. And there is a common sense in a transmigration novel that I don't quite understand that in a novel's world the protagonist and the antagonist might have different personalities in reality (evil or good), but how could that be when the novel cleary set their character. Ah how should I put it, forgive my rambling thought.

well, it is a good story if you want a happy carefree life with little conflict or drama. But it's a bit lacking for me, blame myself for those collection of dog blood drama that I read. And I think the plot development nearing the ending is a bit rushed. <<less

I'm quite torn on how to write my review for this novel because there's a sense of enjoyment but also quite a loss. The title doesn't reflect the story properly.

The plot and characters are engaging enough, unfortunately, the author did not allow the whole story to mature so that logical scenario, the time frame and character developments would work out better. If the author allowed the story to mature and tidy up the rough parts then it would have turned into a better and more engaging novel, which wouldn't... more>> result to very mixed reviews here in NU.

I think most of those who didn't like the novel found such unrealistic portrayal forced on us. One is in regards to relationships.
Spoiler

For example, the "transmigration part" of a strange girl into the body of the MC twin girl but still kept the closeness and twin-like wavelength with her twin brother. I would think the twin brother would have noticed right away she is no longer his twin. Or the immediate acceptance and closeness with their father after just a few months. There's also the step-brother and his evil actions that are unknown to his biological mom--like she doesn't know her son or his actions were not questionable. The 21-year old chairman and his attraction/romantic pursuit.

[collapse]

Another unrealistic aspect is on the time frame,
Spoiler

the 14-year old twins looking for dependence on their supposed-high and mighty elite father would have a sudden closeness within the next 6-7 months... and just within 1 year would be enough time for them to form the bondage of a real family. I'm not sure how unique their self-awareness is but quite impossible to see this happen in real life.

[collapse]

There are also many parts of the novel that, if I was the author's editor, I would have crossed out because it was just too wordy or too explanatory. Authors should respect that their readers are intelligent and that means it is not necessary to explain many things that could be imagined on their own. Clearly the concept of "Show don't Tell" hasn't caught up yet to many Chinese authors.

Lastly, the novel amused me because after reading the novel it made me envision some 15-year old's wishful thinking of a powerful, dramatic and life-changing event with his/her father. I felt like a professor reading how my student's life would be better if this or that happened. In the end, I was amused but can't see it becoming a reality due to all the irregularities and unrealistic situations and time-frame. I would still give a B-grade for the effort and imagination of the student. <<less

the no. Of novels that I read completely are quite few. This novel is cute and wholesome. I like the fact that the MC is living this life nicely since she was bedridden completely in the last one.

father and daughter relationship is soo cute. Whereas father and son relationship is funny af

definitely one of the best parent and child novels out there.

I was prepared for a rushed ending in the last 10 chapters after time skip but it didn't feel awkward at all. 4.5 rating actually.

Pretty good if you just want a feel good fluffy story. Although I definitely recommend to read this slowly since its not really a binge worth material. Got bored by around 3/4 of the way since the main villain were defeated early and since then its just smooth sailing with not much going on. So definitely better consumed casually if you just want to kill time.

Still enjoyable tho, very cute twins and I loved the father-children interactions. 4/5 for me.

This is a wonderful read if you just want to indulge yourself to wholesome family fluff. Even though there are some dog blood or something that happened, it just highlights the sweetness and might of the family. This might be your somewhat typical quick transmigration story but the one that really made me stay and read on was how the family was written. Even though you can probably guess what's gonna happen next, you still want to know how they can resolve it. There's not a lot of stories that... more>> i've read that displays a healthy father-children relationship and it is very heartwarming to see that all of them were really trying to adapt to their newfound family in their own ways and form a dynamic that works for them.

My only issue is the final arc. My advice? Just skip it. If you are reading this for the family fluff like me then simply jump straight to the extras once the time skip and university arc starts so that you can get more family content before all your good impression to the novel drop. If you want the mandatory FL-gets-together-with-the-ML part of this isekai then I wish you goodluck and forge on. I do not like the ML at all and I legit almost dropped it but considering it was just the last 15 chapters or so, I just opted to just get on to the extras and assume that the main story ended on its last happy end before the time skip.

The extras are a bit bittersweet but nonetheless it ties up the entire story so that everyone (except the antagonists) are happy no matter what. Although it ended in a not-so-great note, it gives a hopeful tone that everything will get better and I reallly like that.

I recommend others read this <<less

It's an okay read. It is a bit of a wasted premise though, the 'whole family are villains' point could've been really interesting but the whole story is just a simple family centric father-daughter story. MC is very cliche Mary Sue and occasionally some characters say/do sus things.

But as another reviewer said don't bother with the time skip, I had to stop when ... more>>
Spoiler

they set up the older character who liked her since she was 14 as the pairing. Before the time skip he went to get counselling when he found out but basically he just continued to love her and its honestly really weird and unsettling (how can someone over 20 look at a 14 year old and not immediately lose attraction???) He still saw her really often all through the time skip and his behaviour is just straight up grooming while pretending to only care about her as a sister. (Also the time skip only puts her at 18! Predator!!)

Warning: this review is writen by someone who read without using much of her brains! I don't indulge nor care much about "logic"

Tbh, except for the unrealistic feeling of how our main lead, Su Bei was able to be an expert 'hacker' just with 4 years of lerarning in another world and the OP-ness of the Qin family, I don't think there's much 'plot hole'. This story is focused on the family and their growth. I felt that Mr. Qin's acceptance might be a bit too fast, but considering how... more>> he had always long for familial affection, it really is hard to refuse such warm and bright girl, although deep inside he knows she only wanted to please him. Furthermore their relationship also gradually change into acceptance and become genuine. It's also important to remember that the whole Qin family is absolutely 100% over powered, furthermore the story itself focused on the family, so there are not much conflict, which is perfect for those who doesn't want to use their head to speculate to much. As the tag has shown, it have late romance and romantic subplot, remember, SUBPLOT, it was not the main idea of the story. Although it does give some sweetness to the story. Over all, it's a good read. <<less

This is a 10/10 read for me.

It might be not to everyones taste but I loved this so much. If you like family relationship centric plots and heartwarming moments and this should be right up your alley. Even though the dog-blood drama is present with the single braincelled green tea b*tches, black-bellied scheming antagonists and your usual family drama, its not to the point where your braincells die the more the plot progresses. This one is a good light read with lovely and likable MC and characters (personally, I would've... more>> liked a bit more content on Su Xiaobao, or at least his perspective tbh). The (lack of) romance is also perfectly suited for me, loved that they focused more on the growth of Qin family more instead. <<less
