Very interesting, the truth doesn't really expect that much, but it turned out to be quite entertaining.

The history of each bow, so far are very unique and entertaining, I really like it a lot.

The ends of each bow are good, I must admit they ended in an interesting way.

The protagonist is great, she is very entertaining and I like her personality.

It deserves 5 stars

If you find any mistakes, forgive me for my English.

Spoiler

You're wondering if it gets better later, right?
The answer is... Yes!
The story only gets better, arch after arch.
Maintaining his comedy, adding new stories and mainly developing romance...
If you heard it romance!
It's very, very, very sweet... Seriously, the main character is the one who wears the "pants" in that relationship, but I love it.
I like to see his crazy love, all men are the "yanders" crazy love, but in this novel are the two... Much more the protagonist, you could say that she is crazy of love.
Just by saying that if he requests it, it would destroy the world. It's enough to make clear how great the love of the protagonist is.
In the end she still deserves the 5 stars even if I could give her more, one of the best stories I have read not only of this type. And finally she is definitely my favorite female protagonist of all the novels I've read.

So... I finished Arc 5, or pretty close to it, and ultimately quit.

By this point in time, there's utterly no tension. I find the MC more and more unlikeable as arcs pass. My suspension of disbelief is pretty broken, and I don't care to read more to find out why the MC is basically omnipotent and never has to worry about consequences. Every character seems to be s*upid and I don't understand any of their motivations. And there's so much r*pe in this story. By Arc 5, it seems like... more>> most of the ex-female leads are kind of there to be arrogant, dumb and unbridled, get r*ped and tortured and then become prostit**es and/or s*x s*aves.

Some problems with the MC:

Spoiler
  • No empathy for anyone or anything.
    • She views the people in the worlds as NPCs. Even if their behavior deviates from the setting she's given, she's like, oh, they're just NPCs and nothing matters about them or what happens to them.
  • She's got endless cheats with no explanations of where they came from.
    • She's revealed herself to be some amazing hacker, she has an unexplained space, and she never has to worry about money because she's a god of stock markets and apparently can always turn her money into billions regardless of her background.
    • For the space they don't tell you anything about it other than she has one. Was she born with it? Was it some mystical item she picked up? Did she do missions previously to earn one? No clue. For the other 2 skills that I've seen, again, it's unexplained.
    • Based on the way this story is going, she'll have more cheats that pop up as it becomes relevant, but due to these cheats there's utterly no tension for anything. I'm never once worried about her or thinking she'll ever run into any problem she can't solve with a wave of her hand.
  • She's arrogant and unbridled with no fear of the consequences to the point she's kind of dumb.
    • Even if she has all these cheats, she doesn't care that she shows it. In Arc 5 she's come from a cultivation world into a modern one. She's now the adopted child of a wealthy family and is in a school filled with the heirs and descendants of other wealthy powerful families that have ties to the underground or the government, or huge businesses. And then she just sort of summons a sword out of nowhere and constantly threatens these powerful people with it if they block her way or annoy her.
    • Never once is the police called on her even when she threatens to kill people or stab them with her sword. Never once is there any consequence for her waving a sword around in public in a modern setting. No one calls the police. She also kidnaps her wealthy parents who hate her guts and... even after she lets them go with them knowing she kidnapped them, there's no consequence. They don't call the police on her. Why?
  • She does bad things and then wonders why her morality points drop.
    • Her morality points are tied with her life. She starts with -100, 000 morality points for constantly writing dumb and crazy novels that always have bad things happen to the main characters. If she hits -200, 000, she'll be terminated.
    • First thing she does when she's free in her first world, is write more dumb and crazy novels causing her morality points to drop. After that she basically continues to: kidnap people, threaten anyone who annoys her with weapons regardless of the setting, nearly kill people pretty often, tells a suicidal terminally ill person to commit su*cide because his whole life is a waste, and she constantly wants to kill people for annoying her.
And then she goes, huh, why does the system keep saying I've been doing immoral things? And continues to earn like -2, 000 to -5, 000 points a world.

Meanwhile I'm sitting here like, are you... ever going to learn? To which the answer appears to be no.

[collapse]

The arcs are already repetitive and don't feel like anything new by Arc 5. She doesn't feel like a smart villainess, she's constantly doing super dumb, illegal, and/or bad things but never ends up facing consequences for it. Not even tiny consequences show up.

I actually love smart villainesses. I don't care if you do bad things so long as it's done in a smart way or there's a good explanation or if there's consequences for your actions. If a villainess is arrogant and unbridled because she comes from a super wealthy and powerful background and gets away due to the strength of her background, alright sure. I can believe that.

But this MC is OP, arrogant, and unbridled in an unexplainable way that doesn't make the story better. There's no internal struggle, no external struggle, there's just no struggle at all.

I'm fine with OP as long as it's done well, this most certainly is not. Her being OP actively detracts from the story the way it's written. She doesn't grow, she doesn't change, she doesn't empathize with anyone or anything. She just can do anything and everything and never deals with consequences because she's apparently too OP for there to be any negative consequence from anything she does.

These are only some of the problems with this story and the main character. There are more issues about the ex-female leads, the mc's love interest, and most characters in this story as well which I won't go over at this point in time. <<less

I do highly recommend this even though I prefer MCs with more moral compass. There's only a couple things you need to know if you want to enjoy this story:

    • It's looooong so the romance and the character development is paced slowly and spans many worlds (unlike many stories where the MC and ML get together after the first arc).
    • The MC is very distanced from humanity where she treats the characters like she's playing a game. This means that she doesn't treat them like 'real people' and doesn't consider her actions towards them as towards 'real people.' To her, they're all NPCs, which is why she can be extremely crazy and destructive without caring too much. This will probably change in the future, but it hasn't yet. That also means there will be some cliffhangers because the MC doesn't care enough to 'solve-the-mystery' or 'figure-out-every-mysterious-past' in each new world.
    • The MC is frickin' badass. She's an unconventional female lead who frequently flips gender roles to take on traditional 'ML-reserved' spots. She also prefers to solve everything with her sword rather than her brain.
    • If you don't mind all of the above, you will definitely enjoy this story.
Why didn't I give this a 5...

Spoiler

The story lines can get a bit repetitive since the MC only uses her 'might' in each world. She breaks the worlds quite frequently and makes everyone pretty speechless because she doesn't bother to play to social conventions and kind of just crashes through everything like a demolition truck. I'm crossing my fingers for the MC to get more character development in this factor.

Despite the MC being the coolest person, there's still some misogynist subtext. I say this also because r*pe or prostitution is used with insane frequency (pretty much every arc) for 'bad' female characters. Other than the MC, the rest of the female characters tend to completely follow stereotypical cliches. All of the FL's that appear either rely on the ML/their charms for success or rely on the MC to rescue them. So we have a strange situation where the MC, who is used by the author to break social convention or traditional female roles, ends up emphasizing it instead because she is the sole exception.

Translation is 10/10 one of the best. Kudos to the translation team!

Spoiler

I only read up to ch 51 but I kind of got tired of reading it... Like I enjoyed the character's personality and the plot how she get revenge from everyone who provoked her also how she is capable of making people's downfall.

But I also feel like it's very unrealistic how she is not attached to the world she has lived in at least more than 30 ~ 40 years (depends on how long she lived in the world).

I also like the two ML I have read about in the novel up until ch 51, that's why I find it sad how she wasn't sincere to either of them. It was also so disappointing that none of them had the romance I was hoping for while reading it. I really wanted the author to write a better development between MC and MLS because I think they had some feeling for the MC but she herself is very distanced from them, it kind of has no development ever since they first meet. Their ending is they lived their life without love even though they are married...

Chapter 959 is part of Arc 28.

This series was a 5 for me but started running out of steam a couple arcs ago, and I hit a bit of a wall trying to get past this arc.

This series goes through a lot of different worlds: modern, post-apocalyptic, modern fantasy, xianxia, xuanhuan, game worlds, etc. Shi Sheng's tendency to brute force problems works fine for the fight-y universes, but it's exhausting to read about her dealing with imperial palace drama. She never plays politics properly but somehow wins these scenarios anyway.... more>> Arc 28 is an imperial setting, which is why I'm stuck.

I COULD skip ahead, but I've spoiled myself a bit on the rest of the story, and the problem seems to boil down to that Shi Sheng never has any reason to change or be a better person than she is. Her being an as*hole is hilarious for 25 arcs or so, but there are only so many ways to troll the universe and it's gotten pretty repetitive by arc 28. Dropping 2 stars from my rating because of this. <<less

50/50 whether I enjoy the first 3 arcs since the story has nice moments but there is a lot of plot holes. The MC is badass and likable due to her personality. But I could see a lot of plot holes from her action making her a bit like a mary sue. Not only that but the romance has not much substance since ML is said to the same person in every arc but quite unbelievable due to different personality.

I would like continue but the system seems a bit s*upid... more>> for me. Unreasonable cheat out of nowhere, plot armors, and confusing ML.

I read the spoilers and decided to drop it, since there is never really plot progress and the ending seems abrupt as the people said. <<less

An extremely arrogant, willful, and grumpy MC who is continuously reborn as a "side character" with unavoidable missions. She's over-powered and everything happens easily for her. (This is a story with zero tension and no stakes.)

There is no romance to be seen, even after 130+ chapters.

Basically, this story isn't anything new. The characters are two-dimensional, the main character is overbearing, and the comedy tends to fall flat. But the translation is good and it's still somewhat entertaining to read.

I'm actually amazed that I've read so many chapters without dropping... more>> it, so it must have some sort of charm to keep me hooked despite its flaws.

Edit: One unique aspect of this story is that we still don't know anything about the origin or motivations of the MC, even after 160 chapters. <<less

A girl getting transmigrated to different worlds, being op, tr*shy system, ya da ya da. The usual.

The thing about this book that freaks me out is the way the author normalizes r#pe. I’ve read 5 arcs so far and spoiler alert!....... more>>
Spoiler

The female lead of the worlds gets r#ped each freaking time without fail. Does the author understand that yes, they can have a miserable ending, but using r#pe as just another plot point isn’t ok. Like oh! “They got r worded so you can really tell how low they’ve ended up!” No! This is careless asf.

[collapse]

Anyways, other than that, this book doesn’t have OOC (out of character) limitations, meaning each time the MC transmigrates, they have the same personality. If you like the “strong” and lazy type of female lead and don’t mind reading the same thing each time, then this is the book for you.

but if you’re more into the 2 faced, MC who changes up her personality each arc, then this probably isn’t the best book for you.

In the end hey! Give it a try and see if my critics are placed correctly. <<less

What powerful FL. She has to rely on getting favor from rich and powerful men to complete her missions. These s*upid romances were really ruining the story and very cringy. I skipped the first arc because it was dumb and I was embarrassed for FL. I thought arc 2 would be better but nope, still gotta shamelessly pursue powerful man as a s*upid hidden quest instead of relying on her own abilities. I hate people like that the most. Dropped.

I used to really like this novel but the FL's personality is getting annoying... the arc I'm at now she treated 2 children really badly... she also seems to be really dumb, how can she not know that you need water to mix milk powder before you feed it to a baby. It's really as one of the comments said; she has no character development at all... as well as that I feel like the translation is a problem, Blob translations wrote it quite eloquently and with a sense of... more>> personality and the current translation seems a little bland, but that might just be how the author wrote it. <<less

Main character, Shi Sheng, is like Su Luxia from Cheating Men Must Die (in how she solves things quite well). Only difference is that the system with her seems to be a bit more useless than the bamboo rat with Su Luxia lmao. They both transmigrate to different places to solve someone's grudge, except they seem to have different goals and reasons why they're doing it. I like both characters so far.

One of the best world hopping novels I've seen. Everyone has been telling you "if you like Quickly Wear the face of the devil then you'll like this !!" Well I'm here to tell you even if you Don't like QWFD You'll still like this !!

Pros :

Spoiler

This novel actually makes more sense. The MC and ML does not hook up from their first world together, hell they don't even like each other, but no blalent hate either. Perhaps their feelings are somewhat along the lines of tolerance? But that makes it more believable. Nor the MC nor the ML's character is one that'll fall here and there just cause. Only after experiencing a few worlds together does MC finally care for ML but still slightly disregards him cause she will leave after she dies in this world. Only after several more world does MC realized this guy is the same guy from before.

I just love the MC's personality. She's absolutely badass and calls herself 'laozi' and treats her ML like a princess as if she's the Male Lead. She's so domineering and she uses her own cheats instead of the system provided ones (as in the synopsis which leaves her system shocked) she doesn't need the ML to protect her nor complete her missions for her nor help her. Sometimes it's her who saves her ML's butt. But that doesn't mean our ML is a sissy. He's always a villain and has a devilish charm but of course in some world's he has a weak body or something but he's still OP... However against our rogue MC he's a little helpless.

[collapse]

Cons :

Spoiler

The book is long. That's why the romantic developments are slow. That's what makes it more believable for me but others may not like it. The MC does not fall head over heals for the ML. Even though after she knows its the same guy, she seeks him out on her own and courts him (flirting and sexually harassing) but it doesn't feel like their affections have gone THAT deep (which other novel couples seem to reach at first sight) but I think thats also what makes it more beautiful, only after spending countless lifetimes together and building their trust will they form a love that lasts till the end of time.

The MC has a bit of a mysterious past. Like how she got her cheat that she had before she even met the system. Our MC also kinda has a grudge against society and is kind of like a manic? She's not Saint Maria. If she sees a bunch of bullies slaughtering innocents, she won't even bat an eyelash cause it's none of her fxcking business and you never know who's really innocent. If she finds an opportunity to destroy the world... she will... and she does. She's likes hacking at people (which she does a lot) and is a narcissist who likes solving problems using her sword instead of her brain but that doesn't mean she's dump, she just thinks using her brain is more tiring then swinging her sword. But if you ask me... I think all that makes her personality even better.

Since I like quick transmigration stories I will maybe pick it from where I left off but the 2 stars still stand. You must really not care at all about characters and plot when you read this, all you really want is for a female MC to act cool and domineering all the time. It get very monotonous so try not to marathon the novel too much. There are no tension or excitement since the MC is too godly in a way that break the world she's in, even the... more>> face slapping don't really bring much satisfaction. Simply because she don't really care about the face she slap, and she don't care in killing either people against her or with her.

The author have a habit of quickly finishing off the story in one or two chapters when she's bored with the current arc. There are excessive, and I mean EXCESSIVE amount of dialogue fillers that you could just skim one or two lines to understand the whole chapter. She crank out about 3 maybe chapters a day so its understandable how inane dialogues and thoughts basically made the whole chapters. I actually 'get' it for quick transmigration novel to have super OP MC, all the other ones I read is like this. But its truly the inane paddings that make the story too long with nothing to tell and just highlight the emptiness of the MC. <<less

Honestly, this is my first review on novelupdates. It just goes to show how much I love this book.

However, I won't stop and just say these few words and expect you to read this. I am also a 100% sure that not everyone will agree to my review; they will not understand why I liked it so much and why I keep re-reading it again and again, just aimlessly waiting for the day blobtranslations would update the book. I fully understand that not everyone has the same tastes, people of... more>> all ages and genders like different things - one girl would aspire to be a princess and the other a general; one boy would aspire to be football player while the other would rather be a househusband.

Everyone has different views and it is not up to me to judge others according to my standards of what's good or bad enough. However, I am writing this review for people with my tastes. I want them to not suffer from my initial mistake and skip this wonderful read - I haven't regretted reading it since.

Good:

  • Characters:
The main character is Shi Sheng, who somehow ends up in a system making her travel into different worlds and complete missions unless she wanted to die.
Spoiler

(This isn't exactly a spoiler because it will be introduced in the first chapter) She is an author in her official life who has done so many wrong things - leaving her readers in cliffhangers and finishing her books in tragedies.

[collapse]
Her character manages to be my all time favorite from all the female mc's of this generation. The main reason she doesn't rely on the ML to do her bidding; she doesn't fall in love with all of them and when she does, she's confident in her abilities and she takes care of herself before others. She is so badass and kind of a cheat; just remember to understand the summary. She's ruthless, shameless, selfish and cunning. I am so tired of the shy white lotuses as the main characters. She is my spirit animal - I love her.

"How can we scheme against her if she doesn't know how the right way to react is?" -- Perfectly describes her.

The other character who comes often and annoys the main character is the system. Unlike other books like this one, they have given the system an actual personality where she can fret and laugh and be surprised at how the host works her way through the missions the system gives her. There are so many funny reactions when the MC hands out her cheats whenever she wants - it's really funny to see the hashtags at the middle of the page.

  • Plot:
While the translator is only in the Arc 8 with remaining 31 Arcs, the story is still in the beginning. However, the foreshadowing and how the author manages to push forward the storyline without bringing anything too inconspicuous to the book, she manages to earn my utmost respect. The plot, unlike much other books in the same genre manages to give a story to the system that has been torturing her in this journey. There are so many plot devices, cliff hangers and plot twists that will make you cry, laugh and love Shi Sheng - who is the eptiome of over-powered.

What I also like most about this book is how they managed to overturn gender roles and allowed the main character strong-headed, impulsive but calculated and cunning at the same time.
Spoiler

There's this one quote where the Hallmaster says to his Senitel, "Don't worry she will protect me." I cried because I was so happy.

[collapse]
There's nothing more I hate than sexism in these books where there are stereotypes and gender roles given to each of us - I love how it discarded everything to be it's own self.

  • Translation:
I would give this book a five out of five just because of the translation. The translator is extremely hard working, precious and patient. The whole group of translators, editors and others manage to send three chapter per week with excellent co-ordination and precision. They also don't stop and even comment on the commenters reactions to each chapter. Words that are too hard to understand, they will post it in a link below, where you can easily access it as you are reading.

Not like other translators, they don't barge and comment on a specific seen they find funny and even if they do, t's at the end of the chapter - mostly posted to get comments from the ghost readers of their books.

Bad:

  • The character overpoweredness. Shi Sheng at times seemed too overpowered at first - but then I fell in love with her because of that.
  • So nothing.

(Sorry for my english but I really want to share my thoughts)

I just love this series. One of the series which I actually read all to the end. I just love our MC. I thought the main character would be like ZYS in FOD but no she was actually opposite of it

Spoiler

She never hide her character never hide her intention and never try to bend in life given by system and she truly is shameless and ruthless (like if she doesn't care about any person then she will never save him/her even if they are r*pe in front of her or get killed). System fears her and also system master fear her (prince). And in end she easily kill last boss (another prince)

But what I love about her is she only love one person and he also only loves her. He dies she will die and if she dies he will die. No character is important in life if it was virtual system or her real world (except her friend and her sister both are dead).

like usuall MC she was totally different. That mo also have to face problem because of this hahahaha.

Even after too many minus point she didn't give any f@#k. Even because of this her luck point drop and she have to start from miserable life in any given life (task) to her.

After finding her lover she will always eat him up (wink*wink* you know what I mean) even though he doesn't remember his past lives (poor him).

Some stories have no explanation even after that world end or story end (like I really wanna know how she meet that main system and become friend with it and get that little AI or what exactly is our ML how can he be so powerful). But luckily there was explaination for MC now behaviour in last 40 something chapter and on reading those chap I cried so hard. Her life was actually very miserable why she hate blood so much, ah I don't wanna remember that part. And why she spoil him (ML) so much.

I also cry for those mad scientist and servant story in which at last when they escape only the scientist get saved his last call for his servant really tear my heart apart and then he changed drastically.

There are many good stories sub plot in this series

Those people who love fearless and overpowered MC and with no drama will surely love this novel <<less

Super nice, love the op-ness and overbearing personality of the MC and the different worlds she's put in. At one point, she saves the tribulation lightning from a cultivation world and uses them as thrown weapons in a a zombie world lol. Translations aren't that fast though unfortunately.

Edit 1: Something about the latest arc is kinda boring me. Also the new translator (after Blob went on hiatus) is doing a somewhat haphazard job. It doesn't flow as well as Blob's translations, and there are inconsistencies in the names translations. In... more>> this arc, the MC's body's brother's name is translated as Lan Ching. Each arc has such great buildup, but the ending is just... mediocre? unsatisfactory? inadequate? Something to that effect. Face-slapping isn't as satisfying, but it is there for those who enjoy it.

I suggest reading this an arc at a time and giving it a few weeks before starting the next arc. If not, the MC's brash character and cheat-like abilities just become boring. I had to quit the novel for a month before picking it up again.

Read the description. Read the story until 350th. Read the MTL until ch.400, before DROP.

Hope other readers won't do that.

Spoiler

This novel is not novel but something like tens of short story-telling bound together. There's one female super-OP MC acting in super-OP plots. Each background has no beginning but all has OP-ed end. You can skip (almost) any arc (except phoenix) without missing anything.

No world building. No character developing (even the MC).

---

How to read the whole story is 15 seconds.

Spoiler

Loop start :

  1. MC transmigrates to new arc background as side character with full OPness.
  2. Existing MC of each background turns into brainless
    villain instanteneous, no reason (needed).
  3. MC turns from side char to be real MC, defeats the existing MC with her super OP cheat, destroys the previous MC/ML/FL/world.
  4. Arc ends.

Go to Loop until brain crashed.

[collapse]

No any character development, whether original ML/FL, villain, side characters, MC or her mate ML. All are pop-up, acting dumb&dumber before being killed/destroyed by plot-sama (via MC). No reason needed.

Spoiler

OP should be in the acceptable range. Writer should, at least, give the readers some space to imagination. But I found none <sigh>. Hope you can.

[collapse]

Worst arc (so far) is the Vampire Arc which all characters have IQ of exactly -250, author and plot-sama included.

That's all, folks.

---

I increase my endurance 10^4 times before skip-reading the MTL toward the end. That's also why it's only 2 stars from me, instead of 5 as the others give.

Hope I am wrong because I read raw and this story is so full of deep Chinese pun/idiom/slang which no MTL could translate it (unlike CCG). Such the 'Li' character.

I may rise it to 3/5, max.

Why 3/5 max ?

Spoiler
  • Because of overt raping plots/scenes.
  • Because of Clan concept. No matter what background changed, this Clan concept persists. Even in space age where humann scatters over galaxies, clan is above anything. Seem like the Author does not know how large the galaxy is.
  • As Clan is above anything, when boiled down, the background world is nothing but Chinese Village/City with only Chinese people exists. Even in the StarNet era, there's only Chinese people.

Best of this novel is the Translator. Worth +10068 stars rating. <<less
