A monster reincarnation novel where characters feel like a bit reasonable than other similar setting novel. Interaction towards the world and other characters seems more rationale albeit there being some flaws. Reasonable decision making, thoughtful of others, able to differentiate between good and evil, non aggressive & non egotistical.

Edit:
After Chapter around 120 or earlier there is a shift in tone and it seems some other author took over? MC becomes irrational and becomes exact opposite of what I wrote before the edit. It felt like reading... more>> a similar generic novel, 'The Crimson Dragon'. In fact don't take my words take authors. He himself wrote at the end that he lost control at some point and didn't enjoy writing this novel anymore.
Here is what he wrote, (mtl version)
Spoiler

To be honest, I am very dissatisfied with the writing of this book. At first, it was very joyful, but after it was sprayed, I didn't understand it. I gradually lost control as I wrote and wrote. A few scribbles in the direction that I don't understand.

This is actually not what I want to write, but I can only blame myself for my poor pen ability and unable to write what I want.

I already have thoughts in the next book, but I don't know when I can meet you.

Because I often do s*upid things. When I was halfway through the idea, I suddenly had other ideas, and then overturned the previous ideas, reimagined, and then started to struggle again in the middle of the idea... Can this be popular? Can you write it? Can you control it?

[collapse]
I believe the lost control part was around chapter 120ish? After that point its pointless with random development that spring out of nowhere and all the other BS. I just skimmed through the rest of the chapters in about a hour or 2 and finished it. So much potential wasted... sigh. But looking how he understands the problem I am actually expectant of his next novel. The novel was quite nice until 100ish. <<less

Its a bit of a weird read, I mostly got into it to kill time between the long updates of my other novels.

Ultimately it feels like a let down as the protagonist has very little development apart from an almost bipolar disorder. The plot is basic, and if you enjoy just having an OP protagonist doing some different things here and there its passable.

Long stretches of self-reflecting hypocrisy and a complete tonal shift in the protagonist's actions after his world hop. I really don't understand why there is so much... more>> (self) emphasis on the protagonist being a 'good' dragon and a overall moral human being. It really would have been so much better without the reincarnation, just build the character from the ground up which would have provided a lot more material.

Read only if you want to kill time, the ending is quite meh. <<less

Got tricked, but it did kill time. For those who haven't noticed this is a light novel not a webnovel. It has very similar elements and characteristics of JP LNs with the OP protagonist, harem, and plot development. Reminds me of the korean OP novel that had bad grammar. Read to around chapter 200, took a nosedive. I was hoping for more of cthulhu gonaflon, it's more of an isekai. Less slice of life and more action. Decent, although not my cup of tea. Would probably read SWFM on volare... more>> instead or star ranked hunter. <<less

It's a decent novel.

I've read up to chapter 300 a while back and many things changed.

I've read the reviews and I've got to agree with some of them, up to chapter 100 or 120, the main character was morbidly cautious, I would even go as far as to say that he was very timid. His main purpose was to hide his strength, for fear that someone would pop out and kill him. However, the problem was that he was already one of the strongest in the world at that point.

Up... more>> to that point, the main character focused mostly on developing industries and entertainment, with a few fights happening from time to time, but after chapters 110 or 120, his entire character suddenly changed, going from cautious/timid, good-natured, etc... to a ruthless, not very cautious and indifferent individual. From what I heard, the author seemed to get insulted by his readers? causing him to suddenly and greatly change the personality of the main character. To be honest, I didn't mind. I don't like over-cautious characters anyway.

The world setting is very grand, like a multiversal scale. There are also various powerful creatures, from devils, gods, evil gods, and primordial beings.

Spoiler

The main character does something bad and gets chased by the god of light, getting chased out of the main world and into the multiverse.

From then on, he goes to a pokemon-like world, a virtual game world, etc... Establishing his multiversal dragon empire on the way.

I've read this novel quite a while ago, so I don't remember much

[collapse]

The power-scaling is okay, the world-building is also not bad, and I liked a lot of the characters, from the MC's mom and brother to Nefiro and that red dragon queen. Unfortunately, they don't get much development, especially after the MC leaves the main world. They disappear for a while.

Overall, an interesting OP reincarnated monster novel. Not very original, but a decent read. <<less

Okay Im going to keep this brief, its worth reading, but Id recommend stopping before 100 unless youre fine with character personality changes for no reason and him hiding his strength.

Now, him hiding his strength is not a bad thing, but to hide it to the extent that you let your friends get hurt, I dont like, but its something I could deal with. What I couldnt deal with what his reason for hiding his strength when he knows he is basically the strongest being on the continent. His reason... more>> is because, whenever the protagonist shows his strength, someone will always come fight him with similar or greater strength. Not sure If I can really word it properly, but its easily the most ret*rded reason Ive ever seen for a god like entity to hide their strength to the extent of letting their friends get injured. He is a freakishly OP MC, which is great, but as soon as he starts hiding his strength for that ret*rded reason, the novel only goes down hill (when he leaves for the continent basically).

I am giving this a 3 star because as much as I want to give it a 4 or 5 because I really loved the beginning, I cant. <<less

For a generic Isekia plot of being reborn as an insanely powerful monster, it does a serviceable job. It does an okay job balancing the overpowered nature of the main character and the reveal to the unsuspecting characters who challenge him. The side characters are fun even though a lot of them are still in the realm of cardboard cutouts. Unfortunately, that's where the praise ends. It seems this story does not understand that a main character who is great at all things does not make a more compelling story... more>> but a less compelling one. Our MC is the most powerful dragon ever seen, he is the largest, he has unknown knowledge exclusive to him, he is intelligent, generous, etc. Honestly, giving the MC so many good traits and no negative traits is only going to make the story more boring over time. So far I find it passable. Give it a read if you just want a fun story about an overpowered MC turning the table on everyone who underestimates him. <<less

my rating is actually between 3.5 and 4 out of 5

I found this work when I was looking for novel with card game as its main theme. I thought from the earlier chapter, the MC will focus on his desire to create card game. But, what I've got so far was still the 'preamble' for the lack of better words. So I won't comment on that aspect.

Looking at story development, world building, characters settings... actually this work is quite well done, and the 'shalllowness' actually gave it so much charm.... more>> Thus, it's not so bad that my original goal reading this work was pushed to later chapters. To be honest, I like the conflicting side between instinct and rationale of the MC. I just love his cautiousness, his shrewdness, and calmness; yes, I don't really like MC who openly flaunting his or her OPness just for anything's sake. The dragon bunch interaction is the best; strive to be a good 'people' but plenty stingy with money.

But, during the chamber of commerce dispute arc, just like other reviewers said... the MC did an almost 180 in personality change. Well, actually the seed has been planted from the start, but MC always suppressed it... but even so, the change was quite baffling. Being misunderstood as evil by others is one thing, but when his action was practically evil (by human's moral standard)... then, what? Some might argue that was caused by the difference in MC's current race compared to MC's original. And, where is the card game elements? I also think that many elements are rather unnecessary (in regards to MC's goal to create an entertainment industry)... and MC's attitude regarding these matters is pretty much aligned with these phrase: self-righteous tinted with indignation and indifference.

... (ch160)

I'll continue reading before editing my review later <<less

While its not the most complete novel, it is still very fun and enjoying to read, especially when the TR has such high quality and frequent updates. 10/10
