FL is 15 years old when she gets with the ML. And by gets I don’t just mean meet and she is also a s*ave so there is that power difference as well. Please be mindful of these facts if that can be triggering

It’s not that huge on politics but is realistic and cute (for me) not toooo fluffy but addicting. I think a review mentioned it’s not transmigration... and #reincarnation but it is for a minor character in this story (lol) honestly I love the main pairings relationship after they are more open with each other ❤️ I really like the lengths ML would go for FL like legit she’s the ONE ❤️❤️❤️

I'm honestly impressed with how realistically awkward the two main characters are. Although they have both lived one lifetime, but their previous lifetimes were honestly living within a bubble. This second chance at life only gave them the advantage of knowing who to not trust again - if they meet new people, they're still in the dark about what to do and how to proceed (so that's why their romance was quite slow to develop). I enjoyed watching their relationship grow - from indifference to a relationship based on wrong... more>> reasons to a truly loving couple. There wasn't heartbreaking drama (or I've become immune to this level of drama), but it was at a good level that didn't seem over-the-top for me. I love the main characters' honesty so that there were little to no misunderstandings; for the most part anyway.

I had fun with this one - several LOL moments and some sad moments. I'd like to reread this in my broken Chinese when I have the time (the translator did an amazing job, but I imagine the original might be a little funnier/punnier). <<less

It's really well written, plot, story. Not so much about characters because I'm dropping this for now. So far the MC is reasonable. She knows her place and know how to avoid her second mistakes. I'm not continuing this cause the writing style is not my cup of tea and how the story go. It's really realistic and good read for you if you want to get to know real ancient china life and relationship.

It was a really neat plot and very well written. But for some such things I can't digest I have to lower one point from my rating. You know what I mean if you read the other reviews.

But overall it's a good story and I'd like to give applause for the author and translator, you've done a good job. Especially the ending was executed well.

I want to read another by this author.

This was actually a good read except for the lengthy childhood intro and events. Some are not really significant.

And the worst here? The extras! Oh em gee.. Why ruin a good novel for mediocre extra chapters! I really hate them! ! ! Grrrr

The story when MC tried to survive was very engaging. Be careful with the author notes though, for those who mind spoilers. Authors tend to spill a lot of infos xD

I'm finally at ease to write about this novel

It has a very pleasing wrighting and I want to thank the translator a lot for this enjoable experience

I actually don't really like the "slice of life" jenre but this kind of slow pacing writing was very interesting to read even if the story was telling about sweeping or daily matters, it was still enjoable to read somehow.

... more>> I like the heroine. Tho she isn't a transmigrated person and have that traditional views, I still liked to watch her.

She isn't s*upid and can stand up for herself, still I wasn't satisfied about their interactions with the ML

She was r*ped at their first interc**rse and after that he hurted her because of his low skill

I was very angry at that period of time, because it's so traumatic to be treated like this.

And I also thought that that prince Jing (the ML) just didn't took to account her feelings or simply wellbeing.

He also very stiff and I personally don't like when MC have to guess ML's thoughts because he's a F ck ng rock. But that's just the whole idea so... eh, he still isn't that good of a romance target compared to even HIS EUNUCH

Yea, I was more immersed in the chemistry between ML's old eunuch and his old lady in the side story than in the main d mn couple.

I enjoyed the novel and the side stories were also good.

The MC is most of the time level-headed and knew her position... there were setbacks in her personality but she was still good FL who liked to live peacefully and didn't do evil schemes as long as villains didn't hurt her loved ones.

At first, I have reservations against ML. He felt so wooden and lifeless, but after many chapters, you'll realized that his past impacted him alot. He pampered the MC alot and only got relationship with her despite having... more>> harem. I like his character development (personality-wise and sexually/intimately LMAO).

In later chapters, I realized that despite being close, MC and ML didn't fully trust each despite being sweet and full of pampering. However, I like the development of their relationship.

I disliked that there were many canon-fodders and sacrificial lambs but it needed for the leads to live peacefully and cutting out further dramas. As a reader, I can't fully hate some villains bc the author didn't wrote them as human who were not fully evil.

I also disliked that the rebirth of both leads were not opened up with each other. Despite many rebirthed characters and one transmigrated, all of them kept it secret to each other.

I appreciated alot the side story of Ruan Siyi and Qiao-shi. They made me emotional and nearly forgot the main story. <<less

I prefer MC's that are OP and the author's little humor here and there. A slice of life that is very realistic and makes you truly understand that people aren't either good or bad. Circumstances shapes a person's actions.

and it set a surprisingly realistic pace of romantic development for the MC and ML.

Do take note of the tags if you are uncomfortable with "rape".

Although how the author developed the story afterwards was good as it would make you forget how their relationship even started as they became very lovey-dovey with each other in the latter parts of the novel.

Just give it a try with an open mind. (This is set in ancient China after all so the culture was very different back then.) <<less

Pretty good read that's able to write a consistently good story with well rounded characters and side characters. Although there's the going back in time aspect, the story is more realistic for me instead of a face slapping revenge story. The translation quality is also very good. When it was updating daily, I looked forward to reading it during my break.

Actually the little maid (FL) did not plan to become a concubine but planed to work as a servant until the age of 25 before being release, it was the prince's (ML) personal eunuch who set her up, so yes for her first time with the prince she was forced

At first I was also disappointed because the ML truly force himself on her at first, but at the same time it is "not surprising" with the plot setting: the FL is not OP, doesn't have golden finger or amazing skill, apart for being reborn hence having experienced harem fight, she is pretty normal and just hope to live quietly unnoticed. Considering the ML's difficult childhood and bad experience with women in his past life, no wonder the ML has difficulty communicating, he is too inexperienced in human relationship in general. And since servants were considered properties of their master, hence they could do anything to them. It is a pretty realistic "encounter" between the FL and the ML, considering of the gap in their status, though it can be considered downgradding for the FL with our modern standard. However without this "forced encounter", how can you expect a low EQ/repressed prince to be attracted to a quiet little maid who only wish not to be noticed?

Apart from that point, I think the plot and characters development are great and pretty realistic/down to hearth kind of way. Unlike a lot of cnovel, there is no awfully complicated and mind boggling plot twist: There is no OP character, the FL try to do things within her mean and possibilities to survive and to understand the ML; same for the ML who evolve from a terrible bed companion to an amazing husband. The harem fight is pretty simple compared to other novel, which I appreciated because too much scheming can be very tiresome to read; same for the political fight between the princes, there is just enough to keep the story interesting without being too complex. There is a lot of sweet and funny scene between the FL and the ML, then with their futur children. The side characters are not one dimensional. To sum up most of the characters are endearing.

The story is short but it is a pleasure to read, there is no filler chapter. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. <<less
