I want to like this but the writer is such an amateur its very hard to enjoy. I really dislike how the writer keeps mixing thoughts and spoken words so much. Especially between several characters at the same time. Its a literary mess. The translator is putting the persons name after the spoken parts but there is no way other than through context to know whos thoughts are being read. The thoughts are often not related to what is being said as well. Its like a distracted conversation. Too much... more>> going on for its own good. Its like everyone in the story is day dreaming the whole time.

The story itself starts out well enough but I am seeing some reviews that indicates the MC gets a dose or s*upid in later chapters. <<less

Previously the 'seemingly average' & physically inept Makoto Misumi, forcefully Isekai'd without his consent. Now the reactionary & still socially inept OP MC, stuck in a fantasy world, doing whatever he can to subvert the human supremacist world the twisted Goddess sent him to. Eventually there is some intrigue & mild enjoyment to be had. Especially when it comes to the gathering and the development of Makoto's companions, who often outshine him.

But before it gets good, one has to stomach how messily written the story is: most early fights having... more>> no flow, how the mercantilism is forced in, a lot of the humour and various aspects of the world not making much sense. Not to forget the other 2 OP Human heroes: one brain-dead bishounen & a naive bishoujo with some potential. By the hundredth chapter the story does find its footing, with a lot of introspective character moments, large-scale conflict and kingdom building which feels less like 'Civilization' and more 'Black & White'. <<less

Story is interesting for me. And the story is going at the route it should go at. But my problem is I can't make head's and tail's of the story lines. I feel like there to be jumps in story. I think it's due to either translation not being good or author suddenly causing trouble. But either way I enjoyed the story.

The main character is a beta male. He has two companions who are practically throwing themselves at him, but he always runs away. When he was in his original world, he was in love with two women. Both women asked him out, and he turned them both down because he couldn't decide which one to choose. Things got murky and fixing that situation is a big reason why he wants to go back to Japan and why he avoids physical relationships in the new world. It makes sense, but 300... more>> chapters later, I stopped caring 200 chapters ago. Just have s*x with the prostitute. They are offering their services for free.

Otherwise, the story is pretty good. Tomoe and Mio are awesome, and I wish they showed up more often. The third follower, Shiki, can be fun too, but he is nowhere near as good as Tomoe and Mio. There is a moral gray area where it comes about discrimination, and when the MC eventually has an argument with another hero about how to fix the discrimination, they both bring up really good points. The story suffers from having too many side characters who just disappear at the drop of the hat. Each side character has their own circumstances and realistically you wouldn't expect to learn each of their endings, but if that's the case, then don't put so much detail into their circumstances. The story can drag and be slow at times, but if the story does a good job of wrapping up those loose ends (and gets Makoto to man up soon) it'd be great. <<less

This is a pretty hilarious series staring Makoto, an average Japanese teenager with archery skills, who appears in a fantasy world and suddenly becomes anything but average. He goes at his own pace and tries to minimize any drama or figure things out on his own. He tries to keep everything in the middle ground and remain moderate until a certain event takes place, and he decides to take action instead. His character development starts off from there.

The characters and their interactions can be quite funny. Although this series uses... more>> the gag trope of underestimating the OP protagonist, it does it well and still makes me crack up every time. Although Makoto is powerful, he is considered ugly in that world and has a lot of other weaknesses that prevent him from becoming a Gary Stu. I also like how the story focused on the development of the other so-called heroes.

This is an enjoyable adventure/comedy/action/fantasy series. The MC tries to make a living and doesn't see any need to act as a big hero or become a star adventurer or anything like that, which is a nice break from the standard. <<less

An enjoyable read, but understand that its not without its problems.

The villains are confusing as to why they do whatever it is that they're doing. And above all I can't stand the large number of stories that all focus on a beta male op MC. At some point it becomes more tasteful, or a better story, if you actually give the character a relationship with SOMEONE! Opposite s*x, same s*x, no s*x but dating... give us something!

Personally I liked the story, I am a sucker when it comes to these types (simcity).

The problem is the author can't seem to handle the character perspectives that well. We are thrown into many things and many times some important details are skipped and just mentioned at a later chapter which is fine, if it is handled well enough. It really makes you wonder why... its a web novel that's why.

I also have to question the need to focus four chapters or more on side characters, you can actually skim... more>> on it and still probably understand it.

Making a puzzle out of the prose is just sloppy, if you aren't paying attention you will miss almost half of the details which is crucial. We aren't in some mystery story for this to happen.

I would have dropped this long ago if I it weren't for Asora space. So read if you must. <<less

The generic setups are okay...

I meen, what novel doesnt start by getting the MC transported and given power by a goddess nowdays except from the reincarnations?

But when the harem start to reveal itself, and the girls start throwing themself at him,... it becomes kinda boring.

3.5-4 stars

Tbh here.. The filler talks are quite annoying, small problem magnified to mid size problem and they talking bout it for 2-4 chapters long xD

Also its already in 400+ chapters.. Wish I can read where shitty "hero" got punch in the face and his charm skill got destroyed *I think MC can make this happen, imo* and he lives a live far more terrible than death.

A great story, it is entertaining and satisfying. The only problem is the timeline. There are side stories that add details, but those aren't part of the main story for some reason. Then there's many points where it goes "oh, we did that thing with that person and everything exploded" and it sounds like a very important event, but is only mentioned in passing and without much detail. Sometimes that is addressed later, and sometimes it isn't. That's very irritating to read, but the manga at least gets it right.... more>> I came from the manga so it surprised me that they don't include enough detail all the time. So if you're coming from the manga too be prepared to be lost in some situations. <<less

The story is interesting, the problem is how it is written.

I can't get a good read on the MC; usually he is passive, a generic Isekai protagonist like any other, then he has his moments, like when he attacked the bandits because they were named like a song he liked.

He kills some of his enemy, but he does not revel in it.

... more>> The biggest problem I have however is how it is written, the the structure of the sentences, the lexicon.

It is too semplicistic, giving a rather flat description of the world and of the characters <<less
