This time, in order to avoid trouble, Xiong Ye chose the weakest man in the tribe as his new companion.
In any case, he can afford him!
With his strength, he’ll definitely be able to let his own man eat meat every day instead of grass.

Zhou Ji, the ‘weakest man’ who had just transmigrated over from the apocalypse and likes to indulge in eating ‘grass’: “…”
He’s not the same person anymore! He is clearly capable of killing the entire tribe by himself!

The whole tribe could live in absolute luxury with nothing to be afraid of, but no, he pretends to be a waste, ultimately dragging down even his husband who could have been killed several times while hunting, which would be unnecessary if MC would have used his power openly. It makes no sense and starts to really get on my nerves, I don't know why so many writers just don't know when to stop with the hidden identity plotline, or better, not use it at all when it's completely illogical for the character to do so. Characterisation is lacking, especially MC is unlikeable, he doesn't care about anyone but ML, and only because ML looks good and was nice to him, there isn't actually any love there.
MC simply only has himself in his eyes, everyone else is beneath him and the writer shows this often enough with MC calling them dumb, ridiculing their believes and practises, etc. His whole character makes little sense, for someone who supposedly was the last survivor of the human race, the strongest person in the apocalypse, his survival instinct is abysmal, he's barely able to plan ahead for more than a day, and his "laziness" is actually just total apathy.
He knows nothing's going to happen to him, everyone else doesn't matter anyway, so why should he bother? And he's a picky eater as well as a little princess who hates dirt and blood, it doesn't help that the writer has no idea how PTSD works but kept using it as an ignorant, half-assed reason for more or less every behaviour that doesn't match MC's background.
Filling in plotholes and inconsistencies with something you clearly know nothing about only makes it worse. The world building has a solid foundation but was grossly underutilised.
For the overall story, it's quite questionable; with a stone age society that turns into animals and uses xianxia cultivation to become gods/beast kings, all while having a rebirth aspect and an MC who transmigrated from a zombie apocalypse... it's as mismatched as it sounds. The writer obviously didn't know what they actually wanted to write about, neither how to do it properly, the only two positive points are the relationships, which are all pretty healthy, and how women are represented, as strong, independent, and equal. I have no idea how the writer found enough readers to keep this going for 180 chapters, it gets more convoluted the longer it goes on. If you have absolutely nothing else to read then try it, don't be afraid of skipping large portions, the main part of the story is the same thing over and over, there's very little actual plot.
when they get togethervery fast, they don'tfall in love imidiately but they spend time together and get to know each other
