In a Mary-Sue novel, the readers all liked the Devil Venerable, the second male lead who devoted himself whole-heartedly to the female lead. However the female lead only loved the male lead who abused her physically and mentally.

I’m totally in love with this story!

The world is complete, have good structure and quite logical. During the plot, reader can understand more and more and have an opportunity to continue the whole big puzzle step by step. All explained and all is logical. I love how this world is, how the concepts are.

The writing stile is nice. It never bores you. The same goes for the plot and characters. Translation also very good! Love it. Really love this novel.

Characters are very alive and have each it’s own story and... more>> grows. Especially the main couple. I love their interaction, how they grow together and help each other. There is a drama, but very high quality one. The comedy is very good. I was laughing and crying during read and it was so good.

I’m not sure I ever read such a quality story like this. I want to forget and read it again.

This was a pleasant read!

I was actually searching for a cultivation novel because there seems to be a lot these days which have good reviews but the story doesn't seem quite alright. Anyway, this was a pleasant and comical read. Although there was not any serious plot, the characters were funny especially the side characters. The main couple was kind of cute too but I wish the writer showed more of their backstory and what happens when they find out about their feelings. Regardless, it's a great read for killing... more>> time. Read it with low expectations and you'll feel delighted. <<less

Please appraise this gem, you won't be disappointed. I really admire Wenren È and his principles. I'm not fond of seme protagonists but this one changed my mind. This novel gave me another outlook about cultivation world stories and now I have an even higher standard for cultivation novels. I'm reading mourningcrow's translation, just a personal preference but the two translators have done an impressive job. So kudos to them!

This novel is fantastic. The world building and plot are so exciting and entertaining. And the ending wrap up was excellent. Even the background story seem heavy but the balance of every aspect and all the characters makes this novel so solid and entertaining. The supporting characters especially the devil clan all have their special qualities and they are quite funny. If I go over everything I will type the whole night. This Novel is beyond words, I honestly learn a lot from this Novel, its like a slice of life story with a bit additions of Xianxia genre, I learn a lot from Wen Ren E / Wen RenHe. His portrayal here Chef Kiss cause basically they are like people in our society persecution them a DEVIL, even though They are not really doing Evil stuffs, but meh u know how society treat others that are different from common folks, they get alienate and force to hide.

Overall this Novel is not... more>> your type if you want heavy s*x stuff, this novel only shows light BL only which is sweet in their own way and did not make you wanna vomit due to the heavy theme.

Read This Novel, enjoy the thrill and adventure of Wenren E try to escape from his fate.

Phenomenal world building, unique plot, amazing characters, and how the book discussed what being human and the balance of good and bad coexisting in harmony is amazing. The romance is so good, I love the story so much.

I just wanted to say it's a perfect story for me.

My reading was fluid, the characters were charismatic and the main couple gradually discovered their feelings until they got together.

Well I don't have much to add it was a great read to pass the time.

A very light read, with no exact plot or advancement, to the point that it seems short even having 80 chapters in total.

This novel is mainly concentrated on characters, their emotions and relationship.

A romance side is nonexistent. (Well, they do speak about it and express their feelings, but it was done in the last 10 chapters or so q.q)

This book is a gem. This book has very intriguing plot. Out of all the bl novel I read, this one has the most complete world structure. With other books, I used to skip paragraphs, but this book I have read word by word, not wanting to miss anything. All the characters in this book are 3D. We can understand their thought process. I will update this once I complete it.

This novel was a fun read. I really enjoyed it. The pacing is not too slow or too fast. I thought it would be a your average danmei but it's not! The characters are all well-written. The world building is *chef's kiss* Even someone like me was able to keep up with the story because everything was explained well! I didn't think I'd like it but I managed to finish it in the span of 3 days (rookie numbers I know, but as a lazy reader, 3 days is very... more>> quick for me!) Anyways, it's a 5 star for me! <<less

loved it!!

Honestly loved the relationship progress Between the main couple and also how they cared for only each other but were very honest and kept the debt of gratitude and learned from each other to grow as people so the character development was very well done. Finished this in two days lol.

An interesting story, but the story is very short, the love can be said to be a slowburn, a love that already exists but takes time to realize.

Of all the cast I like Shu yanyan, Qiu Cong Xue and Baili Qing Miao. They made the story interesting and made me laugh.

The book kept me engaged throughout the chapter. The plot was very interesting, including how everything came together at the first extra (after the ending chapter). Progression of the story in cultivation and relationship was very natural, plus every character had strong non-forgetful odd personalities (Especially the female characters. I love them to death!).

The only downside I had with this book was the later parts when the male leads were going through the past. Well, it's not a bad thing to talk and solve things about the past when story... more>> is about to end, but I was expecting the story to at least have more extras about their private lives after settling together... which was a quarter of the last chapter. *sob* *sob* 4. 5/5. 0 <<less

Only cultivation novel I have given 5 stars to. I’ve read this a long time ago and I came back to re-read it. Still amazing.

Absolute masterpiece. Although the romance only begins towards the end of the book, the plot was so good, most of you will probably not even mind it, I assure you. The MC in this case is actually the gong, so I was pleasantly surprised on that change as most MCs are shous. The book is also so funny I’m not even joking. Each an every character... more>> has so much depth to it and most (apart from a couple, but I won’t spoil) are super likable, including the original book’s female protagonist, she’s so dumb but in a funny way yk.

Anyway, I highly recommend this book if you’re looking so a light romance with a hella of a good plot. (AND NO PLOT HOLES HURRAY) <<less

I've read this so long again yet from the depths of my memory, I had a good time. There was a solid plot that was followed throughout the story, and the characters had good development; the translation was one of the best I've read in a long, long, long time. It definitely also has a uncommon couple dynamic that I feel most novels of this kind don't have. Please do give it a read ^^

Pretty refreshing read. It has good comedy but is serious when it matters.

Wenren E's characterization is deep and he is an excellent protagonist for the story. It just sucks that all the other characters lag behind in comparison until the last 10 chapters. The other main characters are often stuck in a one-dimensional brain-dead state for the sake of the plot, which made the story difficult to get through.

The initial plot was really interesting and unique. I read nonstop until chapter 20. But afterwards, the novel felt like a drag and got kind of boring. I skipped chapters in between but made it towards the end and managed to finished it somehow.

I expected a lot of romance but it's more plot than romance. The romance is towards the middlish endish.

The romance kicks in when the ML thinks the MC is one of his inner demons and doesn't realize he is the real MC. The ML is drunk and kisses him. From then on the MC decides to observe the ML and understand his true personality since the ML always suppresses his true self in front of the MC.

It is one of the well written and well translated novel.. Translation by mourningcrow is good, not sure of the other one.

It has story, if you want to read a quirky humour with a well thought out story, this works.

Each character is unique and well developed. It is a good read.

note: If you like over possessive and arrogant president MC and s*upid/naive ML and abusive love relationship with communication issue and some female as villains, then it is not for you. You will definitely find it boring. Because this story... more>> is not about 2 people and rest of the world is there only to make that 2 people fall in love with each other. This is for mature readers. <<less
