Clearing an Isekai with the Zero-Believers Goddess – The Weakest Mage among the Classmates (WN)

Description

Makoto Takatsuki is a normal high school student and a hardcore RPG player.

However, “normal” goes out the window when his whole class is involved in a bus crash and whisked away to another world! Powerful gods rule this strange new land of magic and monsters, and every newcomer is blessed with strong stats and unique skills.

Well, not quite. Makoto’s stats turn out to be pathetic, and his skills are super weak compared to his classmates’…he’s even stuck as an apprentice mage. Worse still, he’s given only ten years to live!

Luckily, Makoto soon meets a minor goddess named Noah, who appears in Makoto’s dreams and asks him to become her first believer. With the help of Noah’s blessings and a divine weapon, Makoto seeks to become strong enough to rescue his goddess from the dungeon where she’s been trapped.

By training hard and using his weak skills in unorthodox ways, Makoto proves that, even when playing on hardcore difficulty, an RPG player always makes it to the end!

If you are looking for a tr*sh type generic isekai, this is probably the best one you could ever hope to find.

Clearing an Isekai with the Zero-Believers Goddess – The Weakest Mage among the Classmates is a generic isekai story whereby the MC, Takatsuki Makoto, along with his other classmates, gets isekaied to another world to save that very world from an impending disaster - the revival of the Great Demon Lord.

Sounds generic right? However, what makes this novel stand out apart from the rest is its power progression.

The MC... more>> doesn't start overpowered like most generic isekais. In fact, he starts off as the weakest, with having little to no physical nor magical abilities (the author likes to keep mentioning his mana capacity is at 4), basic skills, and that he, no matter how much he train, could ever grow his stats or abilities. However, he overcomes adversities through using his wits and knowledge, as well as training more than anyone else to become more "proficient" at the very basic skills he is using.

Eventually, through all the hard work he put in, as well as having received assistance from external parties (I won't say who to prevent spoiling), he becomes really strong, a lot stronger than the people around him.

However, never at any point in this story did I feel like he was overpowered. While it is true that he kept getting stronger and stronger compared to the rest of his peers, so do his enemies. The key battles were never one-sided at all, so it never felt overbearing to read at any point in time. Power is relative after all. You can't really call a character overpowered if the enemy he faces is overpowered as well, can you?

World-building is fairly good, with the author keeping some of its mysterious elements while also expanding at a decent pace to make you more hooked into wanting to know more.

Romance, while not necessarily the main point of the story, is handled decently well, with his love interests having distinct and unique personalities and roles, and their interactions being comical and enjoyable to read.

If you are looking for a tr*sh isekai story to read, this is certainly the one for you, so please do check it out if you haven't. <<less

There's absolutely nothing unique or remotely interesting about this novel. I decided to give it a try because the rating was decent but it's just a standard isekai with a dense, weak protagonist. He has no talents or anything particularly remarkable about him, his RPG skill which was supposed to be a unique cheat does nothing but show game-style options at random moments which literally serve no purpose whatsoever.

The level system is the most half-assed bullsh*t I have seen in a novel so far and exists for no f*cking reason,... more>> nor do the stats. The author just showed the levels a few times but never really explained their purpose, how much xp he is gaining, levels of his opposing monster or the increase in his stats?!? In fact his stats, or anyone's for that matter, are never really revealed, the only thing we ever see are people looking at his stats and giving him pitying looks. Then there is his magic skill; he has the most basic level water magic but he still managed to train it to a level which surpassed various veterans just by studying with some children at the temple for 1 year?!?!? How the hell does that make any sense? He is just doing the same thing as other chaps with no special training, eccentric old man or op loli to guide him yet he somehow reaches an unprecedented 99% proficiency in his skill, the system of which isn't explained at all. If the protagonist could do that without any real talent or special abilities, why isn't every semi-determined character in that world running around crushing monsters??

And the goddess makes even less sense

Spoiler

She is said to be the most beautiful among the titan gods and carried a divine weapon that was stronger than any national treasure, and was later revealed to be some sort of mastermind of a great conspiracy that shook the mortal realm 1000 years ago, yet she chose this loser as her apostle. I get the useless goddess trope but this woman is supposed to be capable and she couldn't entice/seduce someone with decent skills and a realistic chance of becoming strong?!?

[collapse]

Last is the annoying way that otaku with appraisal and his rabbit s*ave speak. Nothing inherently wrong with it, it just gets really annoying with the constant usage of unnecessary Japanese terms like "Goshujin-Sama" and "-Dono." Whenever someone uses "-dono" to refer to regular civilians/friends I can only imagine it coming from an otaku wearing spiral glasses.

TLDR; MC is said to be weak but becomes strong for no reason whatsoever. He has the typical Japanese simp protagonist personality to the point where he would risk his life to save a girl that literally called him tr*sh moments ago. His very existence is an insult to all hard working natives of that world. <<less

At first I thought it will be another tragedy novel where the useless MC (because his status is lower than normal person) get trown away by his friends or the places he summoned from, but I'm wrong. It has Great starting point, no brainwashed classmates or friends became enemies like tragedy after transported to another world.

The MC is what I think of as a perfectly normal person with a little bit of a sense of justice. Not s*upid nor too smart. Just a normal person who likes to play games.... more>> He's also not a typical japanese beta MC, so it's a plus from me.

It's the legendary Reigokai, so the quality of the novels they transated are usually above average.

Ps. If you see this. Please update moonled journey <<less

So people I read the japanese raw until chapter 230

I can only say one thing: I came looking for copper but I found gold.

I thought it would be again a bad isekai, badly written, with bad MC, and horrible heroin, and a shitty story.

... more>> No it was the opposite, I found a MC with thinking ability (still a "donkan" but purposely), side character full of interest, marvelous female heroine with attractive personality and background story. A superb chara development and a breathtaking story.

Thank you for the translator for making me discovering this novel in english, I have been reading the rest in japanese and it was a wonderful adventure. Honestly, it's a god damn 10/10 <<less

What a pleasant surprise. From the summary and a signal-boosted bad review, I thought it was one of those cliche bad ones where protagonist is excluded by everyone but then easily becomes an overpowered cheat. (Why oh why did I pay attention to a narrow minded rant?)

Turns out this is a higly recommended good read:

-it's well translated, the story flows well and makes sense

... more>> -main character is likeable, not overpowered, makes up for it in smarts

-it's not cliched writing (example: a typical story like this would make the protagonist someone harshly bullied by the delinquents of the class, and later by stronger adventurers. Here it's a more realistic level)

-it's quite humorous (I would say a little like Konosuba)

-the story is simple and smaller scale (countries/number of characters/plot threads) but in return it focuses on the few main characters so they feel more real, the dialogue is natural. (I mean there's not many stories that gives "Male Friend A" time to shine)

-the world building and descriptions is not rich, but sufficient that you always have a clear idea

Complaints:

-the chapters are a bit short,

but that's about it. Nowadays I take what I can get and as long as the story is not cliche/edgy/s*upid/childish/wish fulfilment with cardboard characters, I like it. This one is even above that. <<less

This one certainly deserve 5 stars.

Makoto's character development is so well written. When Makoto is seen through perspective of other character, Makoto' insaness is clearly pictured. Lol.

This one is harem, but the girls is so good. Btw my fav girl is Momo-chan (will make appearance in ch 224).

It's your classic plot start with the protagonist being absurdly weaker than everyone else, including even the residents of the isekai world. Yet, there is no shitty plot of friends abandoning him, betrayal, rookie bullying etc. that you usually see. The title doesn't really describe the novel very well, for now, it isn't the main plot point. The story is pretty slice of lifey, but it doesn't get boring like similar stories I've read before because it doesn't keep repeating itself, it always makes sure to introduce new things before... more>> it gets stale. The romance doesn't seem to have much development so far pretty disappointingly (I'm a sucker for romance), but the elf girl in the cover is pretty cute. Anyway, it has the sudden power-up tag but he doesn't really get the cliche OP powerups (especially those in the middle of battles), he just slowly develops himself and has clear strengths and weaknesses that he slowly tries to shore up. The author seems to be building up some serious plot in the background regarding the goddess but it probably will take a long time before that is actually relevant. By the way, there are humans 'bad guys' in the novel because well what world doesn't have people with malicious intentions? They aren't really big plot points so you don't have to worry about them though. Finally, the translator is great, frequent posts and high quality, so there's no need to worry about those. Overall, at least give it a try, doesn't hurt to do at least that.

Edit: Oh I forgot to mention the most important thing, thanks to his clear-headed skill, MC doesn't act like a 'beta cuck' that I know you guys hate and doesn't waste chapters panicking (this is a godsend especially at the beginning, no more useless exposition about an isekai world that we all already know about) when encountering danger, being approached by women etc.

Edit 2 at c219: Honestly I'm quite disappointed, I came back after all this time, but I feel like the more I read, the more the story goes downhill. My major problem is how romance is handled in this novel. I really feel like after joining his harem every character loses their unique traits and becomes the classic braindead harem members. Not only that but the author spends too many chapters describing the MC getting blue-balled by his harem members and it got tiring after the 2nd time... I swear this was mentioned hundreds of times by now. Like seriously, just get it over and done with and stop writing filler with it. Also, I really felt that Princess Sofia was such a ridiculous character. Her personality did a complete 180 flip in ONE chapter because he synchronised with her??? That's not character development but rather just bad writing. Other than that hmm, I feel like the action scenes weren't really that intense as they should be. It was fine in the beginning when he was just fighting some small fry, but when a whole city is at stake, and it still doesn't really feel that intense it's kind of a problem. Overall I suppose it's good for passing the time but I wouldn't read this expecting a masterpiece.

P.S. I pity those people that read up to c200+ and are still saying the female heroines are well written, for they have surely never seen a well-written romance... <<less

Oh. My. Noah-sama,

I'll just say it now, read this all the way through. I kinda go on a rant below here so I'm just gonna say it so nobody misses it. Cool? Cool.

I'll be frank, wasn't expecting much out of this novel. We all saw the title, right? It's basically SCREAMING "Behold! I am the newest power fantasy harem story! Bow to the greatness of this weak MC shocking everyone with his absurd new powers! Grovel at the majesty of the as*hole superficial hero having his medium rare roasted... more>> ass served to him on a silver platter by the quiet kid who he hath scorned!", right?

But no. All those expectations, shattered.

Oh, the bullying a**holes? They get some verbal jabs in at the MC's expense, definitely a d*ck move, but then get on with their business. No abuse of power towards their weak classmate, they just... leave. Like a normal person would. And we don't hear anything about them for a good long while after that.

And the hero? Just a genuinely chill guy, even offering the MC the chance to tag along (as for why, that's explained much later). There's no real place for any 'I'll pay them back' motivation that's pretty common in this archetype, since the MC is absolutely dead weight. There's no punch line to this weakness like 'oho! Turns out healing is the most OP power since it's actually reversing time for the wound so you can turn anyone back into a baby!' (there's ya next WN storyline, 'ave it ya greedy bastards), he is genuinely, absolutely, pathetically limited in strength by his stats. And he knows this better than anyone, so why would he unconditionally hate the people who have their own lives to live for not taking along a sack of potatoes that can barely waterbend? It's obviously the best choice to just leave him behind.

"B-but what about the absurdly fast growth!?" I hear you cry, lamenting the absence of a much loved trope. Desperately hoping for the presence of the quintessential cliché for books with weakest in their title. But nay. The goddesses' divine protection he receives is not that strong. This boy stays weak for dozens upon dozens of chapters, only gaining 'situational strength'. Fight him in a desert? You could kill him with a sneeze. Fight him near a lake and I'd suggest you pray to god, except Noah's rooting for the other team. It's just, nice to see a fragility to our MC at all times.

But if you're worried about a lack of shocking others with their strength, don't worry. We still have PLENTY of that. If anything, the MC being so powerless makes these moments far sweeter. The MC's weaknesses are properly utilised and it's really satisfying to see him gradually patch them up (except his abysmal lack of firepower). Also his 'RPG game' skill is really well used too, those who know what I'm talking about, you get it. As the MC gradually increases in power, it just feels a lot more genuine than other, similar stories. He doesn't get explosive strength, no world ending cheats, just better precision, efficiency and more innovative uses. All of which is rendered useless in certain circumstances, remember.

Now, something I enjoy that a few people don't is exactly how the MC wins Major confrontations. He literally has to walks a tightrope to victory because of his own weaknesses. Half the time it is sheer luck that he survived, and I LOVE IT. I don't know why. Just, having every single major victory come with a parenthesis like "magic went berserk, needed to be knocked out", "had to literally shave several years off my life span" or "the enemy could've killed me easily, but chose to die rather than live as an abomination. Also had to shave years off my life." is really fun.

I could keep going but I'm gonna round the rest up quick.

The world always feels like it's moving, it doesn't feel like it revolves around the MC (but it's getting pretty damn close in the later chapters). Every character feels like a person, not a plot point. For example, the hero. He leaves with two girls bickering over him, the usual stuff. Surely, when we see him again we'll be able to see the two of them gradually increase affe- NOPE one of the girls is already pregnant and the hero already has a harem in the double digits back home! WHOA DAMN!

That's what I'm talking about. A whole ass living world.

As for characters. They're all fun. The harem is at a reasonable size and comprised of lovable girls, the MC isn't a dense jackass which is always a plus, I've already mentioned the hero of chill and adventurer buddies are good to be around. Villains aren't really fleshed out, so we can't get a read on them yet. But that vampire guy was fun. Oh, and that cult that sells snake oil and weed (or something along those lines) is full of twats.

I especially enjoy how it takes time for relationships to bloom. Fast get togethers aren't that big of a deal for me, if the chemistry is good then the time for them to get together is not an issue for me. Unless it's like a day. I just appreciate it when authors give a longer timeframe for love to bloom.

Okay, I'm done now. I blacked out for half an hour and now I have an essay. I probably have more I want to say but the demons demand I sleep, so I will summarise.

Fun read. Really good to sink your time into. <<less

This is one of the best isekai I've ever read. The MC isn't an idiot that rushes through thing but a guy who thinks first before he moves. The personality of the MC is also one of the best because even though people look down on him or even when the water princess didn't give him any water goddess blessing making his life harder than it already is, he doesn't go to the revenge route where only 1 braincell human will do. He's mad yea but in the end, he... more>> just chose to not care about them since it really doesn't worth his time.

Ok for the spoiler part which is for just clarification for people who wonder about why etc etc:

(Recommend) Only for People who already read and left the novel because of these points below.

First, about why of all people, the Evil God chose him to be it's believer despite him being the weakest of all. Well it's easy: Because the Evil God doesn't have a choice, as for why, well she's an Evil God after all.
Spoiler

Well because no human will accept becoming her believer because she's an Evil God. But most importantly, she's the Goddess who helps the Demon Lord 1000years ago with her believer. In fact, her believer were responsible for the deaths of almost all of the heroes that time, that's why she's being hated.

And so, if no human then why not pick a non-human, or even an Evil guy or heretic? Well, because she's not really evil. The thing about 1000years ago is just her being deceived and even her title "Evil God" is just a title for losing the war, the war between Old Gods and New Gods (current god). After all, in war, Winner are heroes and losers are villain. So she's not going to make bad people her believer.

So in the end, who's qualified to be her believer? You guess it right, the otherworldly. But why the MC of all of his classmates?well because the MC is weak and because of that, he's the only one who doesn't have any blessings. That's the reason the "Evil God" chose him

[collapse]

Second, Why in the world the weakest mage with a garbage skill can use chantless magic and even make his magic efficiency at 90+? When the highest recorded in the history are 80+? Is it plot armor?

Because this world is highly dependant on the skill and the gods blessings. But most importantly it's fairly easy to level up efficiency.

Spoiler

Best example for this is the MC and his first party member, the Elf Lucy. Lets go with the MC, he doesn't have any talents but despite of that he still continue to practice his water skill making it to 80+ efficiency which was I think, the highest recorded magic efficiency in that world. And why the hell the weakest mage can make his magic efficiency so high? Well because.... Training magic efficiency is quietly easy, it's just that the Winning Gods make it look harder for people to practice. Why? Go read. What's important is, training magic efficiency is easy.

As for his first party member, the Elf Lucy, she have the one of the strongest fire magic and talent but despite that, her efficiency was low, why? Remember, this world is highly dependent on Skills and God's blessings? That's the reason, because she have the talent, and skill and the mindset of it's hard to level up magic efficiency because of the gods, with all that combine, the mindset will only become "As long as I can use this skill, everything will be fine and I can just go brrr" and so, magic efficiency training become useless in this world. That's the reason the MC become strong despite being the weakest. He level up his magic efficiency which can make your magic chantless at 50 efficiency because that's the only thing can compensate his low stats while Lucy only have single digit magic efficiency because she have both stats, skills and gods blessing thus she doesn't train

[collapse]

In short basically, people are all looking at person's Talent and skill tier but not how it works. Hard work doesn't pay off in this world. Only talents and blessings do.

Third, Why does the stats doesn't have much explanation?

Well that's easy, as I said before, only skills and God's blessing are important in this world. People look at people's stats but not to see the stats itself but to see the skills and blessings. In short, beings in this world are capable of becoming a walking disaster just by training their magic efficiency but they can't because the Gods puts shackles in magic efficiency that can only be trained at 100max. The MC can, because he's a believer of the so called Evil God, she also said that magic efficiency have no limit. You can train to million as long as you practice.

Lastly, Why does the level doesn't have much explanation?

I dont know but I think because level doesn't give much stats. I mean the MC went up to level 30+ but his mana is still 4. Let's just say, just because this world have stats and level doesn't mean it has to be a game-like world. <<less

A simple but very funny humor.

A simple but well-executed story.

Several cliches but all of them in one good place.

... more>> Situations that are resolved quickly but all very interesting.

Simple but adorable characters.

A constant story but without unnecessary drama.

A useless goddess who is very useful.

It seems that they leave things on the road but they are to build the plot.

A simple story but with complex developments.

Simply this story has already earned a great place in my heart, it is not my kind of epic story full of plot twists and schemes and mind games.

But it is a refreshing read and a very well executed beautiful story.

You can only hope more and more developed. <<less

I never give reviews but I feel like this novel warrants it. It's amazing. If you like isekai, you know how tr*sh laden that genre is. This work is nothing like the garbage that's constantly being spewed out on a daily basis by untalented tr*sh in the current isekai market. This is a masterpiece. The characters are well defined, emotional. They grow with the story and each chapter captivates you bringing you in further. The events that happen throughout the story keep you at the edge of your seat constantly... more>> trying to guess what's next. The translators are top notch, further adding to its appeal. I would be so sad to see some google translate tr*sh spewed out on my screen. This story deserves to be well translated and I can say the translators live up to these expectations. <<less

This series is great. I've read a lot of good Isekais and a LOT of bad Isekais and this is definitely one of the good ones.

Disclaimer: This isn't a revenge story. I've seen good stories get bad reviews because of misunderstandings before. (Arifureta mostly, although the first Volume was partly to blame as well) Do not expect a serious series.

Minor spoilers of the first few chapters below. Nothing major and most of it is in the summary anyway.

The premise isnt exactly original. A class gets Isekai'd everyone is OP, except... more>> the main character. Adventure proceeds.

But the way it does it is really good. There are no bullies and he isn't kicked to the curb. There are no expectations of him but he recieves training and they send him on his way like everyone else.

The clever thing is that although he is very weak he works hard and gets stronger, not unreasonably strong though. He fights with tactics and trains. When he gets stronger he isn't just granted strength and unreasonable cheats (and from the summary I don't think he will be). He is merely given opportunities or advice.

Overall it's just the classic Isekai executed in a somewhat new and interesting way. It's written well and the translator is posting often with high-quality translations.

I would recommend this to people the Isekai genre is targeted to. <<less

If you've seen the bad reviews, the most common thing about them is that they stopped at early chapters and talk about how the story is not going within their expectations.

The good reviews are mostly from the people who just stumbled upon this novel and just casually read it out of boredom. And y'know what? That's the exact mindset that is needed for this novel.

This novel doesn't really focus on the action, it's more or less on how the characters interact with each other. It's not an edgy story about... more>> wanting revenge, it's a story about how things just came to happen, like in real life.

Most of the people who dropped this novel probably expected a revenge story about how the MC gets left behind and ridiculed, but here's the thing, the MC's not a revengeful guy. And that's the thing that makes this novel more like real life, most people just forget about revenge and just live life the way it is.

Anyways, just go read this novel without any expectations, and you'll probably love it, like I do. <<less

It has been more than 300 chapters already... How I wish the author would advance MC's relationship already. his classmates have been picking up wives and making children (the hero supposedly already have 40+ wives and uncounted children) like pokemons. The MC on the other hand keep getting interrupted every other chapter which were disguised as comedic timing. For me personally, it is no longer funny the 3rd time it happens.

The only good thing in this novel is the fight and the worldbuilding. And this is not because of... more>> how detailed or high action they are, but rather because MC is not afraid to actually use his power. There is no BS such as needing to hide his power to protect his peaceful life or anything like that. The world is also interesting, but underutilized. Got a problem? Just chuck the MC at it and it'll be solve in a day or two. Everyone else (including the hero, royalties, hell even the divines) are pretty much useless. <<less

If you like the usual skinny high school protagonist who had just been given abilities to become op w/out hardwork (with an additional item like an smartphone, etc as bonus) and harem who just fell in love w/ him due to kindness a.k.a. Harem sh*t w/ its repetitive demonlord-hero story then this is not for you.

Pros:

Good flow of linear story.

... more>> Protagonist got depth. He's a hard worker and strives to improve. No skill absorption copy-pasta ability.

Protagonist is a weak-ass male up 'til the later chapters but got his resources and wits to overcome the adversaries.

Protagonist is not a dense motherf**ker like what some reviews says. He just wanted to avoid conflict.

All heroines got personality and character development. They fell in love with the protagonist w/ a just reason and not because of '"Ah, he's kind to me" bs nor a love at first sight gimmick'. Got 5 harem members.

All characters got brains and doesn't go: "Eeeeh!!" when something out of the norm came out, they do get surprised but not over reacted.

No unnecessary retorts just for the sake of expanding the vocabulary of the protagonist.

Cool and well explained fighting scenes.

Good translation group.

Cons:

The author made the protagonist have his v**ginity a big deal. Like, every time his v**ginity is mentioned he over reacts.

Politics.

I just said good translating group but they kept the weeabness on their translation works so yeah, it's a negative. <<less

First of all, this is your very typical isekai with harem tag, as usual... And to be honest, I really hate isekai with a harem tag BUT!! The thing I like here is the plot.... I don't know why, but it has a refreshing thing, easy to read, though sometimes I wonder whether the author forgets some important things...

Spoiler

I really like the Monstrous Pair of the MC and the Light Hero, as usual....

And I always ship Sophia (Shrine Maiden of Water) and Julia (Shrine Maiden of Moon) to the MC due to being a Kuudere and Tsundere respectively.

btw, the MC can talk to the other Goddess [Other than Noah is Ale (エイル, Goddess of Water), Ira (イラ, Goddess of Fate and Commerce), and Altena (アルテナ, Goddess of Sun) ] while he was on his sleep...

oh, and I forgot to mention, the MC has a 4 contract in his Soul Board before this chapter 223 (Apostle of Goddess Noah, Guardian of the Moon Shrine Maiden, Guardian of the Sage, and a f*cking Lovers (virg*n) Contract)....

[collapse]

I don't know why but, I really have a high expectation here.... Esp. that even I can't predict on what will happen to the MC in the next chapter due to:

Being Time Travel in 1000 years ago to save the first Light Hero, Abel

Very good if you're looking for a non-OP isekai.

The world building is way above average too.

The way it takes elements from Greek mythology is also a nice touch.

As far as Isekai stories go this one so far is very promising.

The thing I like the most about it is the main character doesn't become s*upidly op 10 chapters into the story. The protagonist has some strengths and weaknesses, the most notable of which is low base stats, for which he has to cover up with creative usage of his skills. There's a feel that he's catching up to his acquantances who are more special than him. And it's a very good feel, a gulp of fresh air. I... more>> wish more stories had a reasonable power level like that.

The thing I really disliked is it's clearly a harem development, of which MC is clueless. So far there's a goddess he made a pact with, as well as the only permanent party memeber (elf mage in the cover). There's an odd feeling of balance between these two.

Spoiler

The MC often thinks of the goddess, but not in a romantic way, more like honoring the pact and paying back for the gifts kind of way; he tries not to rely on the goddess too much, so they feel quite distant; the elf mage on the other hand is always around, but to MC she's basically a work colleague - the kind you spend a lot of time with and help with stuff, but outside of that she's not on your mind.

But in the most recent chapters there are hints of new harem members showing up (and would have the childhood friend archetype in the harem covered). There's also a recurring character that isn't a part of harem but kinda insterested in MC too (older onee-san type of character) and is there to fan the flames a bit.

All in all I plan to keep reading it. <<less

Great isekai story. The beginning was slow in that the MC was not really fleshed out until later chapters and you finally got a hint of his actual personality. As such, the beginning could have fleshed him out better. Otherwise, I am the most picky reader, and either love it or hate it, and there are no exceptions. This novel is 5/5 stars. Just a few cons: the MC is somewhat naive to love interests but he does know what is going on, and he is a bit beta and... more>> too humble when it comes to his powers, however I would say that this novel keeps the 'Japanese Beta' MC turned down as much as it can go (I find it acceptable). This prevents the romance subplot from progressing too early, and I have no problem with it either. All in all, read this story! Absolute gem. <<less

I would like to say that this MC is pretty atypical for this kind of isekai trope.
For sure he is the same dense character as all others but his way to power up, unlike his classmates who just grind like mad because of the RPG-like isekai, consists of finding uncommon ways to pass by the fact that he has more or less 0 MP and that leveling up wouldn't do that much of a boost.

He doesn't get op overnight but actually put in effort and train everyday (even tho... more>> it may not be emphasized that much at first).
His relationships are also one of the reason he can get much stronger (not talking about friendship power here but more like goddess giving skill, ideas...).

The MC is a little detached from everything happening around him (e.g. there is absolutely no impression of him putting his life on the line, and while the author give us an explanation for it, I find it a little anticlimactic at times

While he is dense, he doesn't push back the love interests for no reason and there is even some nice romance plot going on with the love interests (which is satisfying) but they still won't go all the way.

TLDR:
Overall, the story reminds me a little of "so what if it's an RPG World" with the MC only minding his own business, while still helping those he can afford to. going around the world, powering up little by little and being confronted to unique situations one after the other <<less

What the hell is happening in this final Volume!? Like WTF!!!!!!.
Spoiler

He is coming from the past LITERALLY SAVES THE WOLRD and everyone treating him like, yeah, welcome dude, how's your journey and sh*t!!!!.

The savior party Momo (great sage) treated like GOD, but he saves them and SAVED THE WORLD from destruction in the past and they treated him like a afterthought not even welcoming him and treating him like you are not even hero, so get out of here or stay silent!!!. WHAT IS THIS BULLSH*T!!!!?.

Is the author have gone crazy!?. The story was good before he returned to present and I mostly enjoyed the story, but what the hell!!?. The author really disappointing in his final volume.

Normally I don't mind some normal vague explanation and skipping as long as story flow is smooth and good but what is happening in this volume!?.

The holy gods who had sent him to the past not even thanking him after he returned!!?. They were doing bullsh*ing comedy routines in his dreams for no reason and now they were not even congratulating or thanking him!!?.

And the Goddess Noah. What is she doing?. Is she thinking him of a convenient tool or something?. She was treating him almost like lover and now, hi, dude good work out there, here take some money for what you did and I have lot of them. Like WHAT THE F*UK IS THIS SHIT. Is she going to be a last boss!?. If she really is a last boss, then I am dropping this.

And The Moon oracle, what the hell is she thinking!? It doesn't make any sense!!!!. What is this TSUNDERE SH*T!!!. She already almost confessed to him and now she cannot act like that cuz she is a Queen Sh*t!!!?. If they treat him coldly then, he won't become a hero and don't going to fight the demon lords!!!!?. What logic is this? It doesn't make any sense to me!!!!!. And Moon country officials!!, they are acting like SH*T. Did they forget who helped them to get this today's position of them!!?. And the Moon oracle Queen cannot control them!!?. I can't comprehend a thing!!.

What the hell the author is thinking?. Is he same one who wrote the story until now!!!?. Even if they are King or Queen or BS or whatever, He returned after LITERALLY SAVED THE WORLD and returned, they saying you have no appointment dude SO, GO SHOO SHOO. WHAT THE FU*K!!?.

The war council members currently attending the meeting should be one presented when Goddess Athena decended and requested Makoto to go to the Past and save the Abel!!. And now they are acting like they doesn't even remember a thing!!!?. DON'T FU*K WITH ME.

He suffered in 1000 years past to save the world and they are treating like that!!?. He deserves more dude!!!!.

The current story line is a alternate time-line or what?. If the history changes so much that even the statue of him are made, then what happened to the past Moon country?. If the current moon country is developed by the furiea, then did he destroyed the past Moon country before going to cold sleep!!?. The author doesn't explain a thing and it's so confusing.

[collapse]

The author really spoiled story and I feel so vexed. He ruined the mood and it is so infuriating. He left so many things half-assed, vague and confusing.

I really loved this story but, now so disappointing and it is hurting.

Sorry for my English. I am not a native speaker.
