The world building is amazing

Its like an hot pot of alien invading the earth with our MC trying his best to remove everything that might be a threat to him.

The beginning part is nice. The mid part is somewhat boring but the later part starts to pick up again where theres huge magical warefere against aliens.

You truely feels the wonders of this world

An interesting story, a bit dark and morbid at times. The author has a sort of vague writing style that gives many details yet leaves a lot of things for the reader to pick up themselves. It's certainly not a light read.

The MC is also a bit strange. As the description implies, he's fairly cautious and somewhat passive. He reacts to threats, but he doesn't have much motivation of his own beyond his own well-being. He's also very much a grey-morals protagonist and has few social skills, the reason for... more>> which is covered in the first chapter. See that torture tag? Yeah, it's not just the antagonists doing that. The story sees through his development as threats to his safety intensify and recede.

Old review (c14) :

Spoiler

Hmm, well, I haven't read very much of this novel yet. The premise is fairly interesting, so I'll probably update this after I've read more than 20 chapters. But before that, I want to say that the review written right before this one has a bit of misinformation. The giant that MC kills in the first 10 chapters was looking for a wizard interpreter as it couldn't speak the language, but it also killed a bunch of people because the police sirens were annoying to it and was going to continue, so I think MC's actions are justifiable. I admit its death was overly gruesome, though.

I haven't really done any reviews before, but here's to my first!

The pacing of the story is a bit confusing to catch up with, and as AddictiveReader stated, it's a bit overwhelming with the overflow of information. The world-building is quite interesting and I believe the story has a lot of potential. The translation is really well done and the story doesn't seem like the usual ones. The system of Channels & Seeds while involving dimensions is really interesting and I'm looking forward to seeing how this goes.

I think this... more>> would be a great story once the author manages to control how to give out all the information. Its an interesting premise, so I have a lot of hope for this one.

I'll probably edit this review once there are sufficient chapters to rate it. As of now, it seems like a good read for people that enjoy a lot of world-building. <<less

Gona keep this one short. The start was pretty interesting the storys decently unique, the and the translations good I would rate it higher if there werent soo many redundant chapters. The amount of actual story in the chapters has dropped off sharply and chapters with the MC are getting scarce you'll have 5 chapters of filler showing this "villan" explaining and showing why he's evil then 1 or 2 paragraphs that include the MC. I've found myself skipping through the enemy chapters to where the MC is and Its... more>> like I haven't missed any important points in the story at all going to keep reading maybe it'll change with the new arc starting <<less

The beginning was great. World building is awesome! MC is Op! Yep

If you want to read some fighting scenes well nope. Its like 3 out of 10. 3 for the action and 7 for how long some explanations could take and some f* mysteries that the author tries to convey.

Like it could take 5 or more chapters on how the hell the barrier works!

No harem so far though...

This story caught my attention cause I really like interdimensional travels. I think this story has a potential but I think the MC is a bit too over preserved and hinders the things that he can do to actually solve the problem abt the mapo bridge.

I'm currently reading chapter 17 and I think parvache is sus, he is hiding something from the MC, and I sincerely hope that the MC will man up against the truth seeker and get rid of his cowardly nature, although his personality as a wizard... more>> is understandable bc he experienced information overload when he's just a kid. I really wish the MC will have some character development in the later chaps <<less

Exquisite world building

i like the MCs personality. Not swayed by beauty, kinda immoral but thats due to being raised with self-preservation as his creed via Parvache.

i also like his way of doing things. He had a really smart way of dealing with getting enough income to sustain his daily life and build his barrier and he actually used pretty airtight contracts that were based not on the rational mind but on the subconscious so contractee wouldn't be able to lie and get off easy.

the stream of logic is really strong.... more>> Looking forward to more chapters :) <<less

It's a bit confusing at first with the information you're presented since there are so much in the beginning chapters (Don't know how the future chapters will present). So far it seems interesting with all the monsters introduced and situations of the world.

Up to chapter 52. This is good, but it's written in an obnoxious way I couldn't tolerate anymore. Quite a disappointment, because I wanted to read it—it lured me in with things I wanted to know more about. I like shut-in characters. I always want to read imaginative ideas about magic and this has some relatively unusual ones.

Author is wordy and repetitive, they'll go on for a long paragraph or more in narration about a barrier. There will be maybe 3 facts in it, but it'll be 10 sentences at... more>> least. Then the characters will just say the narration again in different words, nothing new.

They'll have long conversations where they just dance around the main point. Then it won't even say the main point! It will say, "and they came to a decision." Okay, what decision?? Wasn't the point of us reading that conversation entirely to find out the decision? Nope.

When it comes down to it, the problem is that the author often writes the boring parts of the story and literally SKIPS OVER the important parts, choosing instead to briefly summarize them a chapter or two after they happen.

It's mind boggling, like reading LOTR if it just depicted Frodo avoiding questions while packing his suitcase instead of the actual journey to Mordor. <<less

I stopped reading this since the MTL was giving me a headache. the first 156 chapters can be found and read easily. There was clearly a lot more to discover but the MTL...

The plot is well constructed, it flows nicely. Although there is one issue I have that is more related to worldbuilding.

As for the characters, they are actual characters. They have desires and they follow through with them which is typical for light novels.

As for the worldbuilding... oof, It's not done completely. The world is set in a way... more>> that new magic can always get discovered so it gets confusing what the characters can and can not do, and that in turn makes the solutions to the problems very lackluster and feel undeserved. One way to solve this issue is to make one consistent rule that applies to all the different magic, but moo point. It's not like anyone is reading this for the magic, just the plot so it's not too huge a deal.

The real problem I have with the world building is, not how diverse it is, but how incomplete it is. Yeah, this is coming from a novel with the world-building being super unique. The MC pulls things out from anywhere. For example trading; who he is talking to is done off-screen, not even mentioned btw, and have the solution to what they are looking for and the narrator would casually explain that they talked before and how MC had the solution. But, I personality want to see how he got those materials, and when he summoned the trading partner, and when he trades, and the whole scenario around the issue. This would make the world-building feel alive and that they are actual characters (which I wouldn't even consider characters looking at how they are written btw). In that way, the author had only complete 50% of the world-building and fl**ked off the other 50%. This aligns with the earlier issue of the magic system being too convenient. The world-building in this novel isn't a tool to further expand the plot and the character interactions, it's meant for convenience. Again moo point since the only reason to read this is for the plot.

This novel is a 4.7 but I can see it as an easy 5. <<less

The beginning was pretty nice, the world building is good, the universe is very interesting, all the creatures and characters introduced are somewhat engaging, it's a very good novel. However I will no longer read it, at least for now, because I can't stand the MC's attitude, I don't care if he doesn't want to fight and simply wants to protect himself, I don't wanna read edgy mc's either, but this poor excuse of a human being, who will do nothing at all, all the time, is very annoying. The... more>> way he interacted with another human being for the first time in the novel got in my nerves, and his first travel arc only made it worse.

Anyways, just a preference thing, I'm sure many people would love this novel. <<less
