Just came from the manhwa, and I know it's an early review after all the novel currently has 7 translated chapters, while the manhwa has 10 chapters. But I am just to hook by the MC's personality and the characters, not to mention the comedy that have me choking on my saliva!

I Absolutely love the MC! (◍•ᴗ•◍) ❤ Hopefully this doesn't turn into a harem novel, thankfully I see no romance tag. It's a bit regretful, but I think it's better that way!

What an absolute gem!I'll be always checking on updates... more>> and try to support the translator! (◜‿◝) ♡ <<less

This novel and especially the manhwa are one of the most funniest works I’ve read.

Lloyd is just amazing and Javier also has amazing moments.
Spoiler

Lloyd is mostly being shipped with the Queen; they would make good couple with wacky dynamics, but again there is no romance tag.

My family thinks I’m crazy due to me laughing like I’ve possessed by a demon whenever I read this. You will definitely not regret reading this.

I will be waiting for chapters to be translated.

The funniest novel I have ever read in my life, my second favorite novel so far. I laughed so much in every chapter and I love the MC. I have no words. One of the best MC of all time, I love his devilish personality. The OGMC is also amazing I just love the way he react to everything the MC does. This novel definatly deserves more attention

4.5 ⭐

I have finished reading the raw until the extra side stories (chapter 408).

It was a good read. A bit frustrating in the middle of the novel tho. I cried a lot at the last 30 chapters. Nevertheless I do recommend people to read this novel. I love the emotions it gives me!

Ending spoiler!!!

Spoiler

it got a happy ending! And yes our MC got someone as his wife too

Indeed we all have our own opinions, insights, and perspectives, but what part of this story did 7 people vote 1 star for?

My sypnosis (jj skip until the three dashes if you wanna see the actual review) :

Suho, a Korean civil engineer lived a tiring life. While being dispatched for the military service, his parents went bankrupt after being scammed by a scum and soon died. He had to take on a minimum of 2-4 part time jobs in order to keep living and studying. In the day, he's in... more>> school, later he's working a part time job, then spending sleepless nights reading novels. 'Iron-Blooded Knight' That was one of the novels he knew and soon transmigrated to.

He woke up and he was in the body of Lloyd Frontera, the son of a declining baron, a jerk, a drunkard, and most certainly useless. He wakes up with a 'Relationship Point' or 'RP' system. He gets points by gaining the favor of the novel's key characters. With the points, he can increase his stats in the shop. Javier, who undoubtedly has the least favor of Lloyd was the elegant and justice-serving knight and the main character of the novel. He was Lloyd's servant and bodyguard. Lloyd's parents commited su*cide in the novel after falling for a scam and lost their power while Lloyd died being intoxicated by alcohol. However, Suho wanted to live good, to live in luxury as the son of a countryside baron. This was an opportunity his unfortunate last life didn't have. A few incidents pass by and he decides to build a business with his Engineering skills. With this business and his engineering skills, he slowly helps his family and reaches the capital of his continent. There began his journey as an engineer in the novel 'Iron-Blooded Knight'.

---

Suho is actually really smart... and nice (?). He uses the fact that the actual Lloyd was a jerk to his advantage and didn't have a complete 180 and became immediately nice to gain RP points. He worked his way and showed his capabilties to gain people's favor, especially his dad the baron. This story is actually very comedic and cute. I don't laugh a lot in general so I'm not sure if it's that funny (?) His servant Javier, which hates him most is an interesting character as well. At times we see him absolutely confused if Lloyd has changed or if he's still a jerk. The way the current Lloyd is, his action says 'kind and helpful', but his words still screams 'bastard'. It was funny to see Javier confused and trying to analzye Suho. Suho's animal companions he got from the system are so cute !! I like how they bond and how useful their skills are.

The way the author wrote the story was to my favor. They didn't use long paragraphs, long dialogues, etc. It's best described as 'simple'. For someone like me with a bad reading comprehension, reading felt like gliding. The world building is fine, I personally didn't have issues. At times we see Suho in situations that reminds him of his past life. His personality reflects the kind of life he once lived, which is something I look for in stories. If I had an issue, it would be that at times the story's a little messy. There's the transmigration, then Suho knowing the future because he knew the novel, and then there are actually monsters, then the setting which is a royal world, then his companions that fell from the sky. Oh and those people that they find in the cave, like..??? I just wish they provided more information on the setting and how things worked in that world. This is a good way to pass time, not a novel I'd follow religiously or favor that much. Nonetheless, it's for you to judge and for you to read.

This is my first review so I do apologize for being vague and messy (#`-_ゝ-) <<less

i cannot emphasize enough how insane I am about this novel. I adore both the MC and the OgMC, their relationship is everything to me and they're everything to each other it's great.

if you're coming from the manhwa I need you to understand that the novel is a completely different beast. the earlier chapters are similar enough but at one point the tone and characters differ too much to call the manhwa a faithful adaptation.

the novel has so much more heartfelt and quiet moments that allow you to get to... more>> attached to the characters and get a feel for their thoughts and feelings so you're much more compelled to care about what's going on and overall its tone its way less comedic and has a lot more drama than the webcomic

the MC, lloyd, has been deeply traumatized by the absolute horror that is living in a capitalistic society and it shows. his main goal is to get his new family out of debt and by god is he gonna do whatever is necessary to do it. and yet, despite his own beliefs in his own selfishness and ruthlessness, he's never willing to sink to the same level as his own previous bosses did and is always trying his best to keep the people he's in charge of safe and sound even at risk of his own life.

he's extremely smart and clever, and when that fails him he makes it up in sheer dedication and hard work. the way he keeps stumbling into bigger and bigger events all while trying to keep a low profile and just get enough money to get a comfortable life is actually hilarious and also a little bit tragic.

this poor guy just wants to get out of debt and live a nice, lazy life and the universe is literally conspiring so he doesn't get it someone save him

the best part of the novel is definitely his relationships with the other characters, especially javier (the original MC) and his parents. the best way I can describe it is as a slowburn. it takes a long time to get lloyd to admit how much he cares about the people around him but it shows through his actions from very early on.

he has such an insane fun relationship with javier, they're truly the core of the story, the way they grow from indifference (lloyd) and hatred (javier) to extreme devotion is amazing, you get to see every step of the way and it is glorious. it takes lloyd 222 chapters to even admit javier is his friend and javier another hundred more to do the same. at this point they have already saved each other's lives a couple times. they literally cannot give each other a compliment without wanting to throw themselves out of a window. they both are planning on growing old at each other's sides.

tbh while the novel is very, very fun even at the beginning, when it truly shines it's the second half. it goes from a fun action filled adventure, to a truly heartfelt story with some genuinely heartbreaking moments while still maintaining a generally upbeat tone. spoilers below.

Spoiler

while the first half is lloyd dedicating himself to fixing up his estate and either avoiding or accidentally stumbling into some plot points from The Knight of Blood and Iron (the novel he transmigrated into) the second half is him doing everything in his power and even beyond from stopping fate from correcting its course and destroying everything he's worked so hard for.

turns out when you change a world's plot it doesn't like it very much! lloyd finds out that some events that he changed, like his family dying at the beginning of the plot, the queen turning an evil tyrant, some side characters dying off as the plot progresses, etc, are just, , , meant to happen. no mater how hard he tries, he can only delay them or avoid them for a little while, but fate will always try to reestablish itself.

except. there is way to stop it. see, when he changed so many events of the original plot, he accidentally sidelined the original MC and turned into a protagonist, so now the world is freaking out because it senses two different protagonists running around when there's only mean to be one and it's trying to correct this by jumpstarting the original plot all over again. so if lloyd wants to stop the restoration of fate he simply has to make it so there's only one protagonist in the world again. he only has to kill javier, his best friend, or kill himself. easy peasy.

ofc lloyd refuses to accept this and the rest of the novel is him trying desperately to find a way to avoid either of those outcomes. all without telling javier about it because god knows that guy would immediately throw away his life to keep him and his family safe and that's a no-no for lloyd.

the emotional and narrative climax of the novel is both javier and lloyd self-sacrificing themselves for the other in a desperate attempt to keep the person they care the most about alive. it is insane and I love it. I won't put any details because god it is a thing meant to be experienced without biases but, , , , jesus f*cking christ in a bicycle. i've read romance novels less tender and heartfelt than whatever these two have going on.

alas it is not a bl. as someone has pointed out above lloyd does get married to a woman, but it doesn't really help that the most emotional scene of the entire thing is between him and his best friend and that also the novel does end focusing on just the two of them.

[collapse]

i love this novel with all my heart, it is my favorite thing in the entire world right now. I won't say it's perfect because it's not, the author does tend to ramble on a little bit, the 'romance' is pretty weak and mostly thrown in there for the sake of having a straight romance, sometimes the construction details, while fun, can get a bit heavy to read through and also there's an extra chapter at the end that makes everything a little too confusing.

but the characters are so lovable and the relationships between them are worth everything to me. plus the action scenes are very good, the banter and dialogue keep the pace quick enough while giving us more insight on the characters and the narration is pretty simple and straightforward without falling into being dry.

just... go into it with an open mind. this won't be the next orv, it's not trying to break any genres and plays into a lot common tropes, but I wouldn't say that's a bad thing. the author has a set of really good characters and a good story to tell and he plays into the strengths of those things without compromising the quality for the sake of being different. it's a very solid novel with truly endearing characters that you'll have fun following around.

sorry for the very rambly review, I have a lot of thoughts about this novel and it's hard to make them fit into a coherent opinion o (* ̄▽ ̄*) o <<less

The story got some interesting info about architectural infrastructures.

I think you need to read this warning first and foremost. Suho's kind of a psycho? If you're alright with this, I think you can tolerate it.
Spoilers (somewhat)

Spoiler

Suho's a Korean Transmigrator who complained a lot about having to clean up about the mess that OG Lloyd left him, and I was kind of feeling sympathetic for him and thought he would be like others.

Chapter 7 and 8 stopped me from my tracks. There's this guy, Ulrich, weak-skilled soldier who abandoned the OG in the novel, the author explained it like it was justified lmao. The soldiers hired by his father were reluctant to work as construction workers because... surprise, surprise that's not the job they signed up for. Of course, our protagonist needed helpers to do heavy work for the constructions, you know what his great plan to make these soldiers do his bidding? Select the aforementioned guy who was also visibly unwilling, suddenly bash him on the head and beat the heck out of him using a shovel until he's bloody and half-dead (I forgot to say that the guy was so disoriented right after he got bashed and could only take the abuse if I remember right). It makes one's heart quite chilled ah. If you can stomach this, I guess you're good to go. I think I need to pause for a while. Did it make the soldiers more willing to obey him? Well, who wouldn't after witnessing something terrifying such as the young master suddenly attacking someone who defied his wishes? I know this is supposed to be a fictional but compared to other isekais, it happened in a peaceful setting... making it more difficult to- I wish I had gotten a warning lmao maybe then I wouldn't be so against it because I know what I signed up for.

An additional context: In the transmigrator's modern Korea, there's this superior who finds fault with him and once cursed his parents with profanities because he found Suho lacking. Guess what he did to shut him up? Suho struck him with a shovel too. He said he felt quite refreshed, one can only wonder why he didn't get locked up for assault in the Modern World. Like I would want to hit someone who insulted me and my loved ones too but like--- I don't know but it left a really, really bad taste.
