i havent read this yet read the reviews and people are really liking it but yes I might be the minority but im kinda of a romance fanatic, so just gotta say, I filtered and I am here, just 3 things that make me drop a good story but it cant be helped it had a romance tag and if these are present personally just knw I ddnt continue......... the most important thing, is this story about an MC who every girl or everyone loves but he is in a... more>> different demension and so he doesnt understand basic biological need for companionship, second the pacing of the relationship am I going to read 1k chpters with xero progress and thirdly are there sweet moments after the relationship progresses that make you go aaaah so cute or generic tropes but it just stays that generic that will occasionally appear, I might write again if the romance part is solid if not well....... <<less

I do not usually rate things 5 stars. In my opinion, only amazing stories that I know I'll remember, reread and recommend to my friends deserve the 5 star rating. This is one of those stories.

The main focus of this entire story is character development. Yes, there is an overall plot (and it's pretty damn interesting), but the main focus is the MC and the dragons, and their relationship. The vast majority of the story is them getting closer and learning more about each other (which also means that the... more>> readers learn more as well). The characters are unique, interesting and you truly get some real depth to them. All of the dragons have their own personalities, stories, desires, etc. The main character slowly but surely begins to open up and change, as we slowly learn just how much horrible crap he has been through.

The action is well written, the world is well thought out. Yes, it is a power fantasy, but its an interesting take on it. He does not hide the fact that he is all powerful, but does not abuse it, and in fact tries NOT to use it in order to live a normal life.

Overall, a fantastic story. I ended up loving every character, including the ones I disliked at the beginning. It is absolutely worth a read or 3. <<less

One of the best plot I've read.

I picked this up thinking it was harem (not that I love reading harem, but I also don't mind them), I was sure I saw a harem tag there, probably cause It has 『Mature』 and『Romance』tags, which is usually coupled up with a 『harem』tag. I didn't want to spoil myself though, so I refrained from opening NU till I finished reading it.

Anyways, I didn't expect the plot to be that good, but it is. One of the best I've read, I'd dare say I'd rate... more>> it higher than ORV, as I've dropped that novel midway, but enjoyed this one till the end. <<less

Overall

Hmm, it was okay but this type of slice of life just can't really capture my attention, especially in book form. Maybe it would have been better if I read in manga or manhwa format. For slice of life, if it isn't the type I like (poor to rich, business management), then it needs to be sufficiently tragic, i.e., make me feel super sad, to get me hooked. And at this point in the story, it hasn't at all yet. I know intellectually that the MC is rather tragic,... more>> but I don't feel it yet. Probably because the MC is a tired husk of a man at this point, but I’m not being called to follow on the journey to discover him after he isn't. And I have zero attachment to or invested in any of the dragons yet. The winter baby is cute at the moment but that's it. Again, if there are pretty visuals, that might tide me over until whatever development happens that will hook me in.

The novel is grating in how it tries to linger on a mood that feels at odds with its desires for the story.

I find it charming in many ways, but its also something I need to take breaks from because of it being frustrating. Once the story gets going, it often a progression of one step forward two steps back, and this becomes a common theme of annoyance.

I really wish the author could get to grips with this, and make the pacing a little more consistent and while it wouldn't... more>> matter if it was even slightly less emotionally manipulative, it becomes fatiguing in the degree where it attempts to wring us out like a mop.

This is a story by an author that really wants to break hearts, but I find that inelegant as its too consistent in this regard and simply comes off as a little irritating or at worst, worthy of being annoyed at the author. <<less

I can never sympathize with a girl that are suffering because she is being kept away from danger.

In one of the timeline, the dragon girl decide to kill herself out of spite to the MC because he jail them from danger, and I mean what else can he do, when in the last 5 timeline all end up with the dragon dead, and entire humanity suffer from the dragon wrath. Yet the author trying to make the MC sympathize with the dragon. It like asking a poor peasant to sympathize with a spoil second generation young master.

While it is a nice harem story, but when you compare the feeling of a few girl to the entire humanity, it very s*upid, and somehow this is a common trope as well. <<less
