Uhh... I mean it's pretty much just turn off your brain Isekai ig. Not worth reading if you want something to genuinely enjoy, but it's good for surface level entertainment?

It's kind of annoying tbh and MC does not improve mentally, which is annoying. Something does not to be good to enjoy it, though.

I'll be simple
The first half of the first volume were acceptable, at first it seemed that it would be something relatively serious, with an MC who would try to free himself from his complexes and who still could not adapt to the sudden change he had and what this affected in his social environment, but this did not last long.

This is going downhill very fast in the second half
Spoiler

-He change to an elite school, a perfect one where everyone is good, everyone is friendly and is full of freedom.
-There is never a real confrontation grom the MC for his physical change and trauma, only monologues of self-contempt or parts of convenient deafness so that he do not listen to the appreciation of others..
-He doubts his own power at all times despite having already checked it several times for more than a month.
-He is still surprised that he can face simple humans although he hunts powerful monsters.
-He gets absurd amounts of money but he never uses it and when he can use it, it becomes free, he is also always impressed with prices even though he can spend it laughing
-Development is fast and skipped, even the events of "drama" are presented out of nowhere and foolishly absurd, overcoming the MC comes out of nowhere.
-The karma also comes quickly and out of nowhere for those who abused the MC and in the same way everything is resolved quickly
-And in general there is never a clear image of the environment of the MC on Earth or the environment in the other world, a poor worldbuilding
-A lot of "Please raise your head, I was just passing through."

[collapse]

No complaints about the translation
I just hope the novel develops better but...
Spoiler

The second volume begins with the MC revealing his secret base and it does not matter if they are allies, nor that it is in a dangerous place to invade or that the base is powerful, it is silly to make known to the world a location that no one took in account and that it belongs possibly to the most powerful human in the world, obviously there will be consequences

The pace is too fast, the main character's development is too rushed. I found it hilarious and entertaining though, not quite as serious as I was hoping that it would be.

This story is mediocre at best and doesn't really have anything going on below the surface. That being said its an "ok" read so I will give it 4 stars.

The whole story reads like the wet dreams of some lowlife- loser get abilities and all of a sudden becomes super strong, super handsome, super rich, all the girls he meets fall in love with him, he gets to go to the best school and becomse popular with everyone.

I dropped this novel back when it got animated. And now I am back to finally add a few opinion of my own since the anime made it seem like it's one hell of a cheat/another world anime. It's a great art, not gonna lie there but the plot and character development is a disaster. First few chapters you will be loving it judging by the flow. Heck some of you might not notice and at a certain point you will be pissed off for the poorly done elements which... more>> are essential for a plot and some character development and information regarding a certain things it got neglected.

P.s it would have been a promising novel to be animated not the ones we are watching, though it felt like it was rushed to finish a race whomever the author is betting on. Nevertheless can't be bit#hing now. What's done is done, better enjoy the show lol

P.s.s Three stars for the arts and catchy female characters <<less

The halo effect is a well documented phenomena in which people tend to attribute positive traits (honest, trustworthy, hard-worker, responsible, etc) to more attractive people and negative traits to less attractive people. This novel attempts to play with that concept but fails in the manner that there is no real "plot" to speak of. It's just a chronicle of people being really nice to the protagonist after he got attractive, it doesn't even lampshade the halo effect. There is no narrative thru-line to tie everything together or give the series... more>> a sense of stakes, it's just him meeting people and them being nice to him. 12 volumes in and the protagonist has learned nothing, gained nothing, and nothing of any real consequence has happened, he is still the same dude he was in volume 1 chapter 1, but prettier.

Overall, it is a nice feel good story for seeing good things happen to good people, but as a "story" it is woefully inadequate and will eventually become boring as he continues to meet new people and be surprised because they are so nice to him now that he is tall, dark, and handsome. <<less

Up to volume 4, it's really unbearable and annoying. I was able to put up with some things, like the MC being very "noble" or the power of being able to communicate with the animals he adopts, but it's the supporting characters that irritates me so much. In addition, the fact that the MC is a Gary Stu and one of the female characters is a Mary Sue made me drop this LN immediately.

Story's painfully slow and I'll never understand why light novel protagonists almost always stay in school; maybe it's the authors trying to show a good example but... The MC was relentlessly bullied but finds a way out- a way to another world where he can get rich and powerful... but goes back to school as if it's some sacred duty to be abused the man not knowing he's OP- that's just... I don't get the logic.

Book's got a good premise but jamming a school story into what coulda been a... more>> decent adventure novel then adding a zoo of animals ruined it for me, that and the very slow romances full of misunderstandings and shyness to stretch it on and on. <<less

Miku is at it again. The same Author as Evolution Fruit. That one with gorilla heroine which turns into busty female after evolution

Anyway, as you expected after hearing that, the MC is an ugly bastard with overly kind heart, by chance finds a portal to another world from his granpa's stash room, went in and becomes OP extreme ikemen. Gonna say that the writing is a bit exaggerating, but somehow I'm fine with it. The tsukkomi is not as exaggerating as Fruit Evolution. The author went to the bare limit... more>> of reasonable tsukkomi this time, which it's very well-made that it feels like a natural reaction.

Let's get to the romance part, shall we? The romance didn't advance a lot, maybe even didn't at all which is a shame. It's just up to typical couple dates, and that coupled with ridiculous amount of girls he is close with, that's unthinkable to have no advancement happening at all (at least for me). I wish that the author went and advance it more. At least make it official that he's dating 2 or 3 girls, just like Evolution Fruit. I mean, at this point why do it so-so and not went all out? (In moderation of course, advancing it slowly but surely)

Now let's get to some spoilers. I'll just point out the things I'm bothered with even a bit. Lol sorry

Spoiler

So MC has siblings, and they're unbelievably good looking compared to the MC (until MC's evolution, that is). The siblings attacked MC's school out of jealously and never shows up again after that, which is fine for me. But at least show them up again, for trivial reason if necessary, as to not waste around the characters.

On another topic, after some times MC decided to take some of his harem with him, crossing the worlds. This part could be a good plots to make some slow story and romance, which the author did. At least the first one. The latter one, well not really. Author did, but it's for the other things and not for romance, so it only has little to no romance in it.

Recently MC seems to meddle around with isekai more than the Earth. I wish there could be more tropes happening in Earth involving MC so to make it kind of urban fantasy type of story lol.

[collapse]

All in all I'm delighted to see that the Author seems improved his storytelling with less, better tsukkomi and more natural expressions. <<less

I read the Light novel and I can't say I didn't enjoy it. It was so dumpster fire it made my day feel positively complicated.

Like, bro the physics in volume 9 was just... and the MC's character development is... Well, idk if people really like these kinds of MC but I find it annoying tbh. I could also say the same for the girls who acts like NPCs.

But I guess you could say it's so bad that it just felt good. If I had to give a rating out of... more>> 5, I'd give it a 3 just because I enjoyed it (Despite the s*upidity of the story).

Whether I recommend it or not, I'd say give it a read if you're bored. The manga is also great because of the art style and I would prefer reading the manga instead of the light novel since he doesn't say he's confused every moment. <<less

I was gonna lie, and say this story had a chance to be different. From the door, but really... that troupe is a dime a dozen this thing is garbage common isekai tr*sh world travel. Let me grip on the romance, first. They bring in beautiful girls in mass droves. Just for the MC to keep saying "EH!!!" or "OH NO!!" in mass droves. Not talking about the plot or anything. I want to dig into the MC and his relationship with the women. The MC is the greatest guard... more>> for his v**ginity Ive seen. They need to start making these Japanese MC wear purity rings. That way the rest of us reading this BS can just say "Oh" and call it a day. The most annoying crap is the women keep increasing! Almost every volume more than the animal collection he has got going on. They keep being very forward about their romantic intention and he absolutely does not treat it like a man, nay as a human should. It is very fortunate that this thing is a fiction created by a Japanese virg*n or someone who pays to be touched. They have absolutely no comprehension of how females function. That or they dumb them down as much as possible. In reality a guy who is not aloof and being common friends with all these women who are very blunt. Is near impossible the animosity would swell among themselves to eventually spill over to the main character. I will end the romantic criticism aspect here. The power aspect, MC is the most unimaginative cu.k "OF ALL TIME!" (Pokemon Master Declaration Voice). He literally has the power to do near reality warping. Takes it and spends it looking at everyone else technique, but the ones he invents. He makes powers for a second and then is just like, wow, so and so is so powerful! ill never beat them. Like this guys pessimism is understandable at some point in the story. But not now not at all! he has built up his strength changed himself for the better. Got better, stronger, hell he even put in the work. Only thing he did not do was professional therapy and yet he is still deep down the same introverted soft speaking while I get my bu*t kicked guy. Which is pathetic and revolting to continuously see. I can honestly say this story is a complete and utter wasteful use for any individuals time. I can't help but compare it to Medicine Genius Wizard I just recently re-read which has a Main Character with similar gifts but much different outlook the same starting point. But shows a character with supreme belief in one's potential to reach realms unseen before. The dogged will to draw it out at any cost. To never be swayed by anything other than the goal of the summit of power and survival until that point. How can it be that similar attributes result in such different results. <<less

Good escapism fantasy. Yuuya starts out as a short, fat kid who has to endure constant abuse throughout his daily life until he accidentally opens a door to another world. Having neglectful parents that had given up all hope him, they turn their twin children who showed more promise of a better future. Only Yuuya's grandfather showed showed him any kind of love and left him a house in his will upon his death. Yuuya moved there his parents kicked him out their house. During his final day of middle... more>> school he was subjected to severe bullying that made him miss his 0art time job. Miserable, Yuuya went to a convenient store where he meet a girl he would try to help. Though he would end up being beaten. After which he go home to find the door that would change his fate.

Yuuya is the type of meek MC being unsure of himself which is understandable given what he had endured. He struggles with his self esteem even after attaining power.

Spoiler

When entering the new world Yuuya has access to various overpowering items that are immediately granted to him upon use. The world he entered acts as a typical JRPG with status displays. After gaining a level up, Yuuya suddenly transforms from the fat little kid he was to an attractive male supermodel overnight. It would've been interesting to see him become that way gradually with each level up as it would show his struggles adapting to his new body while dealing with his powers. Even so, being suddenly attractive and popular Yuuya has a hard time dealing with that kind of attention because of his low self esteem. Being bullied for so long and having neglectful parents because he was a fat little kid for most of his life would make it difficult for him to be confident in himself. However it does show he is trying. There is still the conflict of Yuuya's family matters being resolved as only his parents are mentioned in 1st chapter and twin siblings are out of the story after the 1st volume. With his powers he still has to struggle overcoming his adversaries rather just being simply invincible. Fortunately his allies helps him with his task.

The interesting thing about the story is Yuuya's ability to go back and forth to the fantasy world at will. The author is trying to focus on Yuuya doing that while keeping the secret of both worlds to himself. However the story is now veering to from fantasy to sci-fi with introduction of aliens from another planet in vol. 7. It might make the story convoluted as the author now must constantly balance 3 scenarios instead of 2. This would make it rather difficult to keep the characters of each world in focus.

Has far as Yuuya's harem is concerned it consists of a pushy princess who wishes to marry him, an assassin sent to kill said pricess, the adopted little sister, a rich heiress from his school, a fashion model, a swordswoman desperate to get married, a miko, and an alien from another planet. With this many characters it becomes rather difficult to keep track of and all for character development.

[collapse]

I do enjoy it and hopefully it doesn't become to overwhelming and watch Yuuya get better as character. I do hope for a harem ending too. <<less

It's the most basic isekai story imaginable except the OP MC is too dumb to be OP. Every character loves him and the plot barely progresses because all the author has is "good and evil exist and fight" so the MC spends most of his time fighting in the isekai forest or being a student in our world while waiting for events to happen to him.

I enjoy the slice of life cute friendship/romance parts but anything to do with the action side of things in the isekai world is incredibly... more>> boring and that becomes the focus as it goes. <<less

Another "Great Initial Premise Novel that gets bogged down with the author's clunky execution" sort of deal.

Many of the criticisms already posted here are valid-- there's a lack of world-building, most of the supporting/side characters are cardboard cutouts, and the author tries to mash a lot of different genres in without regards to their compatibility.

What somewhat saves the work from an even lower rating is that while immature, the author DOES have some strengths-- he seems well-versed in writing harem comedies, and when writing Earth-side stuff, he does shine, despite... more>> his over-use of cardboard cutout templates for many of the non-main characters.

Unfortunately, he ignores those strengths and concentrates more on Isekai-side matters, which brings up most of his weaknesses-- he really can't write fantasy adventure-type stories, and everything falls into predictable tropes and all the Isekai-side characters are unlikeable at best-- his use of harem-comedy-style characters in an overly-grimdark Isekai struggle between Holy/Good and Evil just doesn't fit very well, and comes off incredibly ill-fitting.

tl;dr: Another "Good Premise" that suffers from the author's shortcomings, but the author's few strengths prevents it from entirely sinking. <<less

As a isekai lover my self the only thing I can say that this novel is too childish. The MC is just your typical "yes' MC that goes their save the gjrl, and make her fall in love. When the girl is in trouble save her again in the right time just like a borimg cliche novel.

The MC is also so stoopid to the poi.t he cant make his own decisions where he just goes with the flow on what happens. The reaction of those people who had seen his... more>> power is realy weird. The people react like that its normal to anything OP and to obviouly put of commen sense in the real world like its normal.

Alright, the start was good. I was expecting it to be a light novel with lots of cliché and sub-par quality. I planned to read this with my brain turned off.

But there's just this one glaring problem. The MC is really irritating. He's too oblivious and dense. I've also barely seen him actually trying to stop being oblivious towards what's happening in his surroundings. I've only read this until v2c1 so I can't raise my comment too much on this.

Because of this one fatal flaw of this MC, even when... more>> reading this with your brain turned off you'd still get angry, irritated and annoyed at the MC. This LN has the same author as Shinka no Mi's so I'm not that surprised that the MC managed to be really irritating but in a different way, and yet similar at the same time.

Anyway, this kind of MC in a story is just not for me. I'm trying to read a story and have an enjoyable time, not being angry and frustrated towards the MC. Just replacing the MC with someone with just a little bit more of brain matter should make this novel an entertaining read, regardless of its subpar quality. <<less
