To be honest, it was a long time I read quite deep into the story but I decided to drop it. Personally, I would say this novel is dragging too long in the character development of the Main Character. In a sense, I could say that he was almost similar to Shinji (Evangelion) in regards of personal depression. The only case in this MC, he does not whine but he carries a deep burden and an emotional scar which he rarely show to the public eye. Overtime, the author decided... more>> to push the MC into the situation where he needs to vent his uncontrolled rage and showing his inner colors which he used wild monster as a stress reliever. Even so, the MC fell into depression again if he meet his idiot ex girlfriend in a coincidence route and this scenery were a constant occurrence due to the author whim.

Since this scenery were somehow irritates me;in a certain chapter, the author reveals MC past and the break up scenario that follows of the mastermind behind. Considering the length of the chapter, I hoped that the MC were able to bring the mastermind to an misery end by killing. Sadly, the MC was overwhelmed by the author decision of postpone it so that killing the culprit will be decided later which given an lame excuse of why MC who is capable to show his power were beaten by the culprit. Overall, a feeling disappointment. 3 star <<less

This is your classic fantasy with some cliche tropes... but its execution makes it good

Spoiler

Its setting is in a city which houses an academy that focuses on raising human resources that could fight in a war that is similar to 10 years ago... Nice setting. There's a looming suspense of when the war might ignite in the future

MC gets dumped by childhood friend/girlfriend for cheating... when he most definitely did not because he was too weak so he trained all the time... MC hits rock-bottom, and that's a good start

He gets depressed and suicidal but helped by an old woman who has almost has the same circumstances as his and trained him with a unique swordmanship... It has gradual growth unlike some protagonists

He gains tremendous power after killing a dragon, which is the strongest creature.... With sudden power it could get boring but it has something similar to conditional power. If you wonder how he killed the dragon then just think of it as Rock Lee removing his weights plus the dragon was just playing around with him.

It also focuses on other characters and their growth... The heroines aren't just some pu*sy with no character but they grow as much as the MC does and support him.

It may be harem but pretty much there's only 3 girls that like him, romantically. There's also couples other than our MC.

Giving it a 3 for a simple reason. It's honestly well written and it makes you feel emotion. All good things right? Well if you like feeling stifled, suffocated, and overall like your not good enough then yes.

Premise is that people can gain special abilities as they grow older and the MC got ability suppression which leads him into a downwards spiral of suffering for a variety of reasons I won't spoil. Just know at least for the time of this review I personally have legitimately thought wow I feel... more>> like sh*t after reading a chapter or two because it kinda only just gets worse and worse. Normally you might get some redemption or face slapping that makes you feel refreshed after a read. NOPE.

The title is 100% on point calling it the story of a boy who has stopped moving and we are along for the ride for him as we see if his time will keep moving or if he stays stuck. Personally I've found it uncomfortable to read but Im invested enough to see what happens. <<less

As of right now, I have to put it at a 2. The start was decent, but the current arc and pace is heavily bogged down by the MC's "emo" issues.

I mean, I get it, teenagers feel things like love and rejection more intensely and everything is overdramatic, but when you view it from the outside, you can't help but roll your eyes. It feels like the MC is unnecessarily suffering through so much angst and after several chapters of it, it's getting tiresome. I really hope the author has... more>> him have a breakthrough soon and get back to him dealing with and developing his power to move forward.

As of right now, it's really tiresome to read, especially with all the POV switches that kinda point out the same thing. <<less
