It was something that happened while I was waiting for the day of the primary school entrance exam. I realised that I had become one of the characters of a shoujo manga that I loved reading in my old life, ‘You Are My Dolce’.

The role I was assigned was a character who bullied the commoner protagonist and tried to get in the way of her love with a rich boy nicknamed Emperor; a typical villainess rich girl, Kisshouin Reika.

At the end of the story, Reika suffered the Emperor’s retribution and even her family fell into ruin. With the villain gone, the protagonist and the Emperor overcame their trials and became a couple. And they lived happily ever after.

Wait, that’s terrible for meee! The manga ended there, but I have to continue living my life after my family is ruined!

The protagonist can enjoy her romance or love or whatever on her own. I’ll erase my presence so that I don’t anger the Emperor.

Eh-? The story isn’t progressing well because there’s no villain, you say? But I’m busy saving up money and studying so that I can live well after the collapse.

It's a sweet, charming story of character interaction with the protagonist, who is neither manipulative nor a dense idiot. It has the good points of Bakarina, honestly, without the drawn out running gags. I sincerely look forward to her high school days as well. If you like light-hearted stories, this is recommended.

For those who are looking for a light and cute read, I'll definitely recommend this story. Unfortunately there is very little romance but the personal thoughts of the main character, Reika, is pretty entertaining when coupled with the troublesome situations she is always involved in. Please read so that the translator will be pressured to translate even more!

A nice slice of life comedy novel. Nothing too heavy but it is a very relaxing read. At the end of a day, it is a very cute story and I would recommend everyone to at least give it a shot.

It’s a really good story. The characters are a little cliche but the settings take place in a shojo manga so...

The story is pretty eventfull and really funny. Can’t wait to see the high school part of the story were her daily life will be in real danger^^

review made after the christmas bribe ^^

This is a cute story, I’ve begun with the nanodesu translation but the one of Oni~chan brings to it more substance and moe. Damn Reika, is an interesting character. Just give the story a chance, you’ll appreciate it.

From what I have read so far, this story is very enjoyable to read! XD
The MC is very funny with her actions and her way of thinking. The romance sadly has not develop yet and barely existing lol. She is dense and sort of an idiot with almost brother complex. Her interactions with the other characters is the main reason this novel is very enjoyable!
I highly recommend reading this novel! :D

so it's a fun story if a bit slow. But I like how we get to know this MC and her quirks.

However I would like to warn that like most other east Asian fics this story also has a lot of fatphobia.

MC will spend, at random it seems, a whole chapter about her gaining weight and then growing depressed and manic as she tries to exercise it away. In a way it's very accurate but it's also f*cking annoying reading a whole chapter about it at random. And it's... more>> not like it's played as a insight in today's society it's just another way to make fun of people who gain a lot of weight and then panic diets all the f*cking time.

Yeah at ch 129 I'm just gonna drop this. While the idea is fine, the main problem with this story is it's pacing. There are a lot of chapters which I found myself just glossing over. Because it was just people talking, MC becoming obsessed with her weight, her reputation and nothing happening. Its just not working. <<less

This was a waste of my time.

The MC is absolutely braindead but everyone else here thinks it's quirky and cute, apparently. She was a grown *ss adult before transmigrating over, and yet she's intimidated by a PRIMARY SCHOOL-KID. How does that even make sense?

She has this whole plan thought-out as insurance in case the horrible fate of her family in the original work actually takes place, but she's not really doing anything worthwhile except saving up the grand amounts of pocket money she gets, which takes practically zero effort. Her... more>> grades are sub-par and she barely has any talents. She spends her time pigging out on chocolates and sweets, going nuts in daydreamland and simping over her older brother.

The other characters are 2-dimensional. They're only there to fulfill a certain role, like the Emperor being utterly obsessed and crazy over his first love but obnoxious and cold (mostly cold) towards other people – The classic trope of the ML only being a decent human being towards the person he's head over heels for. His first love is a classic sweet onee-chan. Her best friend is that androgynous tomboy both girls and guys alike fall for. And the MC's brother is that unrealistically patient, kind, slightly spoiling-the-little-sister type of sibling in novels like these.

This novel takes forever to progress, and when it does, nothing happens. It's bad enough that her back-up plan isn't going anywhere (because she's not doing anything even remotely useful) and the MC's romance is basically non-existent, but there are so many useless sidequests (being forced to help the Emperor's first love be on good terms again, "dealing" (I say this because she doesn't do anything except get out of their way) with her cram school friend's childhood friend who has a crush on him)... what's even happening? There's nothing of substance and the plot is so bland, even for a light read. It feels like I'm reading air. <<less

Unlike other series, this is a slow grind that is an enjoyable ride the entire way. This is actually decent SOL and is actually funny and decently written. It doesn't get worse either as the story progresses.

What a shame the author hasn't updated in years.

I'm happy to have gone down this hole! The FL is just so lovable and realistic that I root for her wholeheartedly! No major drama as this is really a slow, SLOW moving novel..

I definitely enjoyed Estelle-sama's TL! Hoping that I could read the ending or at least know who she ends up *sigh*

There's something about Japanese novels that calms and moves you!

I liked it the first time through, forgiving the main leads tendency to cause a lot of unnecessary grievences for herself, and the fact that she has shown her capability to be competent, and regularly throwing that out the wimdow for the sake of convenience, as coomon-sense she attempts to implement for the setting is under the regular pretext that she is more of less regularly aware that the world she lives in is related to (some facts may or may not apply) the world of a manga she read,... more>> and seeming to regularly make the fact that she only lived her last life up to her 20s, shortly after graduating a vocational school, before turning 6 and recalling her old world and life, which besides her food prefrences, is largely irrelevant to who she becomes as the story unfolds and at this point she is nearing graduation. <<less

The story is well written and entertaining. It's a modern villainess reincarnation story, based on misunderstandings and trying to avoid the Bad End.

The translation is very good with an appropriate amount of localization and cultural explanations. The sentences have correct grammar as far as I can tell and spelling mistakes and typos are rare. Many thanks to the translator (s).

The MC can be a bit frustrating at times when she fails to attempt to use her social influence to solve problems that her influence could easily solve. However, it's an... more>> important character flaw, so I'm really just complaining about characters having appropriate flaws.

The story and situations have had me actually laughing out loud, and not just small puffs of air in amus**ent.

I would recommend reading if you like misunderstanding storys and dense MCs who have large gaps from the character they have reincarnated into. <<less

One of my favorite novel... I give a full 5 for reika and her inner monologue (which never cease to make me laugh) the buildup until high school is good, not too long yet not too short..... when the main timeline kicks off it paced itself properly the romance is slow, well if any? At least for bakaburagi it is slow...... as for reika? Can't even guess......

I google translated till chapter 299 out of.... curiousity and even with machine enjrish result I still laugh at some of reika jokes.... and........ more>> things developing slowly but certainly.... things felt like reaching to a climax and the end of the novel seemed near when boom! I forgot that it is on hiatus and no next button after ch.299 bummer!

I realy wished I could read the end of reika's story..... this novel may had a lot of similiarity with other novel out there but it possess uniqueness that many other lack..... def. recommended <<less

First I'll start with what I don't like and that's the personality of the main character.
Yes, she is a bit clumsy for my taste and sometimes cowardly, perhaps to the point that it is difficult to reject some things that would actually be very easy to reject and the unfortunate thing is that she stress about those things... Well, of course I don't like that personality because it doesn't agree with me, but...
It certainly has its charm when seen as a whole, Reika is 'human' with its defects, its anxieties and its good side, that's why if I see it in general ends up being more realistic than many other protagonists.
She's funny, entertaining but she also tries as hard as possible and when she does I have to admit she does it very well.
Apart from that, the secondary characters are wonderful.
There are quite a few characters that appear again and again and are growing more and more, each with personalities varying between them making the story seem 'lived' and generally funny.
But the best thing is that no matter how many characters appear they are remembered and still have time on "screen", giving great entertainment with their actions.
At this point, I must say that this is the first school story I've read that doesn't include magic, adventure, action or a plot with robot or action, in short this is the first story I've read that focuses on a school.
Why am I saying this?
Because I must admit, the author is great for making this kind of story.
School, study, school events every school-wide event from elementary to high school is fun.
It doesn't matter if the events are repetitive (the same school events happen every year), every time they happen they are different and each one of them makes you laugh again and again either with the actions of the main character or with some secondary character.
Anyway, if you want to read an entertaining, funny story that isn't so complex with dark plots or fantasy adventures, read this story.

The plot is really great. I don't read often shoujo novel but this one ticked me after reading a short comment on MC personality about how she is secretly buying sweets, I founded it cute so I started the read and I don't regret it.

I like how author don't just skip MC childhood arc, he made it in a interesting way to develop MC character and also her relationship with her surroundings. Through the novel, we have our peace loving MC but won't hesitate to act if needed. She is... more>> slowly getting close to the main protagonists of the novel. At start everyone have a misunderstanding about MC because of her natural outside appearance which looks unapproachable but slowly they found her true self and accept her, she help often her friends and they also like and help MC back. Also, she is pretty but romantically unpopular and unlucky.

I like how this novel don't make any troubles for MC, how this novel don't have a harem and we mostly follow her daily life.

**Rant**

PS: However, I hate how the translator add all those pictures/videos in middle of chapters. This is really inconvenient for me. Moreover if the same pictures are added a second time in later chapters.. Firstly the data consumption is higher and secondly I'm not really interested. Why not juste share the link as note below the chapters to not bothers us when readings and let readers click it if they are really interested or curious. Moreover it will help the original website to get some viewers. <<less

Although I enjoyed this novel from the beginning, it has been getting rather boring to me.

Even thought genre has "romance" tag onto it, don't expect romance to actually show up with the MC. So far no real romance is happening with the MC to which I am very disappointing.

Reika is beautifully high energetic but with just enough common sense to not sit there and make a fool of herself, combined with a likable side cast makes this a fun story to read
