Reading Lucia is like taking a very light walk in the park where everything just falls into place for the heroine, which, for the reader, has its upsides and downsides. On one hand, it's fairly enjoyable without being too stressful; on the other, it may not be as engrossing since having everything go the heroine's way is quite unrealistic (yes, this is fiction, but, you know).

One of the aspects I appreciate the most in this story are the characters. Some reviews have mentioned that there were plot holes, and I... more>> think I have to agree with them and just choose to not be nitpicky about that aspect of the writing. That's because on the flip side, the author created quite a lovable set of characters, with the protagonists being far from the annoying type - which is a huuuuge plus for me. Lucia was an ordinary girl who took a chance, and everything went on from there. No unnecessary drama due to misunderstandings or a swarm of obnoxious characters blinded by jealousy (though there are some...)

I can't say that this is the best novel I've ever read, but I can say that it was a light read that was quite enjoyable, and for that, I have to thank the translator.

I think one of the weird quirks with online novels is that they end the story, but then continue it with a series of side stories - about which I am not complaining but having finished the story, if I did not read the side stories, I think I would have failed to glimpse half of what the story was actually about. That makes it sound as if the author dragged the story over a hundred chapters when he could've cut it into very few, but that's not what I'm trying to say. I think the main story was like the main course, and the side stories were several small servings of dessert without which eating the main course would've been unsatisfactory. Which makes me think that it would have been appropriate for the side stories to have been treated more as comprising an epilogue, rather than separate chapters.

I can't say much without being a huge spoiler, but I think one thing that I'm itching to read about is
Spoiler

Ted. The author went out of his way to give us that bit of information about Damian's love life and he ruthlessly cuts us short, failing to give a satisfactory conclusion to this plotline. But thinking about it, it may be that it's hard to flesh out what could have happened. I mean, it's unlikely that the lady would give birth to Damian's child, unless she's one of those deceitfully fed with the Mugwort concoction...

Anyway, whether the lineage of black hair with red eyes continues or not doesn't seem to be a lighthearted plotline to follow, and would've definitely changed the tone of the story. So I guess the author made the right choice in ending it where he did. (That, or there might be a chance for a spin-off novel featuring Damian and Ted... *fingers crossed*)

P.S. I think my favorite short story was about Lucia and Hugo. That they ended up together either way leaves a sweet aftertaste after completing the novel.

This is the first Korean novel that I read and was very satisfied with the plot and many things, I think why people said it boring because theres chapter was very long with flashback or something but it needed so we understand the story, right? Lol

I don't know why many hate this novel and said like the MC was weak or anything, she's strong, she can stand for herself, and the ML, he loves her very much, I think he addicted to having bed moment with her was because he's... more>> crazy in love with her if he just wanna have s*x he'll never care about her

Anyway, this is a great novel and the translator did a good job

Just read it till the end to know how great this story was <<less

Well, the translation is mostly good.

The story is good, I like the way the author used "dream", instead of "reincarnation" or "reborn". In most stories, there is no need for the FL to be reincarnated.

And, I like the fact that FL forgets parts of her dream. In many stories that I've read, the FL that reincarnated, remembers every detail of her past life, including dates and names. Come on, who can remember every detail of her/his "20 or 30 something years" of life.

The setting of the story is good, and... more>> the way it explained why the FL dreamed and was saved is good and satisfying. Side stories are also good, I liked them.

I must agree with # Dianille: "The smut was fairly repetitive and has no variety, boring."

Actually halfway through the story, I skipped the smut..... If I were to write, maybe I would divide the smut scenes into parts and for each "smut scene", I would describe one or two parts of it. This way, it becomes less boring. <<less

oh MY god I'm like so in love with this book, literally was so amazing. MANNN the characters are so goodd all except Doc philip and Count Matin but istg doc philip made me so disgusted lyk wth. This plot is a 10000/10 for me and the snu-snu was a major bonus. I love how the story unfolded all at the end, like how many things have changed. From beginning till end I was really happy and in love and finally was gushing out a river of tears when I... more>> read the story of evangelin and cel-nim. Wowza like how he predicted the future, i've a conspiracy theory that cel-nim is reborn and eve and him will get together. I actually want a follow up about what happens, like if she ends with Bruno or Jude or Ethan or another person who I hope is cel-nim, coz honestly former he and evangelin deserves it. But honestly im more than pleased with how the author gave a happy ending for all. And where the heck is chris :/

ahhhh Hue/Hugh/Hugo/Duke of Taran/Black lion of war? Omg I love him so muchhh like the character development mannn come on, it was so amazing. He and lucia/princess vivan gave me a bit of bridergton vibes (Coz of the no kids thing, balls and gowns nd lastly Duke and duchess)

It definitely surprised and made me so happy when I read the side story of how it was original and how uri angel Lucia changed it all- like the death of her gramps, bruno, damian. I like how its not reincarnation and she experienced it all through a dream and how she said about it all to the Duke. Their relationship is so cute #uwu

such a banger novel, top- notch with a juicy cherry on top for the most amazing translation, like even the translator notes at the end was helpful and funny. God when I was crying after the final side story, I legit was laughing and crying at miss ruby's note <3

i regret so much for reading this in a span of 2 days, gonna cherish and read the manhwa version. <<less

Good novel, really loved the ending plus side chapters.

Also everything came to a close (for the most part), on top of getting some more back story of the world.

I think the smut was a little much and repetitive at times. However you can always skip over them and miss nothing.

The "future" she seen, I think could have been done a little better, with how it influenced her. But it was fine.

Came to read after discovering the manhwa and out it's based on a novel. Maybe bc manhwa are based on arts, so I felt like there won't be much to read and understand. But, reading the novel satisfied me bc I get to understand more of the plot, characters, etc. The snu snu scenes are so well written. Definitely worth it to read. Could count as a spoiler as I can't wait for the manhwa updates but thank god, happy ending.

You may are not uncomfortable with some scenes between ML and his mistress but I assure, there's not much more than that. After they got married, and when ML felt and discovered that FL is special and fell in love with her, he stayed loyal to her. Their bond really left me speechless and wish I could have one too sob sob.

So much to say about this amazing novel. The description given above doesn't even begin to describe this great story.

Lucia is an amazing romance story, full of fluff, steamy smut, the right amount of comedy, tragedy, very little drama and cliches... and with a great storyline. My only regret is that it is a slice of life so one is never ready for the novel to end. I WANTED MOOOOOORE. It's difficult to find a good novel that is smut but has a plot that keeps you on board and... more>> Lucia is one of those novels.

I love Korean novels the most because the plot doesn't usually disappoint (for the ones I chose to read) and this novel renewed my love. The main leads each have unique and strangely complementary characters and as they move from strangers to life partners and lovers we are made to follow them through their growth, changes, difficulties, victories and the whole journey is so fun and addictive. It's crazy to see how one person's decision to change her destiny influences so many people's lives along the way and how one small gamble changed the lives of so many people (positively mostly)

Lucia is definitely a novel you'll love so I definitely recommend this novel. Regardless of what reviews say, the best experience is self-experience. <<less

A cute romance story that explains a lot of the overarching plot to the end and wraps up in a satisfying midway of their lives.

Spoiler

My only wish is that a side story would of covered solving the issue of the families bloodline as where it stands the son will never have a child.

It's fun to read, but the smut gets boring quickly. It's like the same hetero p*rn again and again: until a side story in the end, the FL is just a weak lady that does nothing but get the huge D. At least the words to describe how big the ML is, made me laugh *the meatrod* lololol. Many characters are nice and the story is enjoyable.

It's been a long time so I won't get into any detail. Lucia is basically:

1. A soda that you desperately want 'cos it's hot and you're thirsty af. But when you drink half the soda you find yourself not satisfied with your throat not feeling super fresh.

It's that one story that come and go to fulfill your curiosity, your guilty pleasure. It turns out it's not what you need.

... more>> 2. It's about "In this timeline, I decided to marry this Alpha male duke."

3. Actually, Lucia could just severe the link to royal family easily as she's forgotten princess and she had no special attachment to the royal family. So why bother to stay in there when she knew that she would be sold out?

Spoiler

With sneaking skill and her capability of doing the works by herself, she could live as a happy commoner???? And one of her dream she mentioned that she could be blacksmith???? The author tried so hard on making validity why Lucia has to marry Hugo for a problem with simple solution with making countless scenarios that she helped lots of people by marrying duke. Alright, but who cares. The author not even tried to be interested on building the unimportant charas that Lucia indirectly saved by giving a better fate. I almost bought the idea that marrying Hugo was the only ideal solution but the foundation on problem building was too shaky and can be blown off very easily. And if she was afraid that the royal family would desperately marry her off to the jerk count when she already ran away as commoner, she could fake her death or just basically escaped to border village. But there's no way they would even try to do so (desperately marry her off) when she stripped her title off cos the reason they married her off was they need to cut out the royal spending budget lol. They would be totally happy if she just threw out that useless title.

I want this review sounds serious but I don't think I can because of my final thought for this novel:

Spoiler

For a character that had reputation of being good in bed and having countless s*x partners before fully commited with Lucia, Hugh really s**ked at doing it: only relied on his big dong lmao. Repetitive smut time with this repetitive position. I mean, come on what's the use of having countless flings??? I know Lucia is weak but different position didn't mean it would be a torture for her body

I don't recall if I wrote a review for Lucia but I finished it earlier this quarantine and absolutely loved it. I reread the ending chapters just so I can continue to feel the love the ML and FL have between each other. I cried at how beautiful and pure the love between the two leads share. I skipped reading most of the smut beause of how eager I was to read the development of the story. The FL recalls some of her past life which was extremely pitiful and... more>> is reborn to her younger days. While both male and female lead have low EQs, they are rather smart in society. I can't stress how much you should read this if you are debating to! At some times it may be frustrating because the male and female lead are low EQ, but as readers you can watch the love development even when the two protagonists are unaware. I absolutely love this story and wish to forget soon so I can feel that same feeling I felt when I first read it. Stay safe in quarantine xx <<less

I really like FL. Her character is flawed, not perfect but I do understand her. She’s fighting for her own life. To lead a better life. Well the ML, is well a monster. Full of energy. Maybe its the woman fantasy to have a husband who would never feel tired, always ready to have s*x on the go. Well, its a fantasy alright.

And also, the author indicates that they’re both fated in both of their life. Also I’m wondering how Damian would not have child.

First time reading korean novel and not dissapointed at all!

This story started as kinda cliche and move on into fluff heaven lol. The chapters are kinda long but it's okay I love details. Kinda skim through the smut tho, because it tends to get kinda boring.

I love both ML and MC. They both live however they want and their growth as an individual and married partners are really shown. I love the trust, communication, teasing, heartache, etc. Basically like I said, this story is a fluff heaven!

the moments between ML and MC are very good

Maybe my only complaint is, how can they leave us unfinished with Damian's story, we don't know what happened to the girl and who Lucia's daughter will stay with, they really left a lot of things in the air regarding the lives of their children, which gives for a complete new book!!!.

In short, it is a romantic novel with a lot of spice, my recommendation is that you do not think so much, relax and enjoy. <<less

I came to this novel after spending so many days reading princess wei yang, and after reading the first chapters of this novel I started to get angry and irritated why?, because the FC was submissive to the MC and I didn’t feel like she was strong or smart at all I tried to give the novel a chance and keep reading but it spoiled my mood, I’m into novels with strong ruthless smart FC I read those novels and learn from it, it’s not only for enjoyment.

I was reluctant to read this novel because it did not fit to my genre I like to read. But lo and behold... it was nice change of pace, this is one of a not expected great story you will ever find in the novelupdates, its like the quote, "came looking for copper and I found Gold".. one of the underrated novel. I enjoyed and the setting, the plot and the ending. Thank you author. Thank you for creating this wonderful novel.

A) The constant s*x gets very boring and repetitive tbh. It's not what I would read to get off, though I appreciate that the author is trying to do by writing a story with s*x interweaved.

B) The author makes a couple 'symbolism' things and tries to go deeper but it's a little hindered by the Unfortunate Implications caused by the whole weird breeding shtick they have going on along with some of the Nobles tm politics.

C) Characters aren't all good or all evil, the author basically justifies antagonist face slapping... more>> with in-novel everyone going 'yeah, the male lead is kind of ridiculous' which amused me tbh. In general, the characters are fun and the author gives you history on them.

Basically, the verdict is 'if you ignore some things, it's a fun read for the majority of the book.' Translator wise, both are great and the jump from the first translator to the second translator is smooth. <<less
