When the starlet Jian Qiaoxin went to catch his boyfriend in the act, who could have thought that the mistress’s boyfriend, Chairman Yan Gan, also came to the scene?

The only difference was that Jian Qiaoxin was holding a phone, while Yan Gan was holding a knife.

Therefore, the scene of catching an adultery became a bloodbath; he was supposed to come here to confront his boyfriend about the cheating; now he is the one attempting to mediate the situation.

“Chairman Yan, please calm down, put down your knife and spare his life. I can see that he knows he is wrong now. ”

Jian Qiaoxin went drinking to drown his sorrows after breaking up with his boyfriend; it just so happened that Yan Gan came drinking at the same club. A drunken Jian Qiaoxin and Yan Gan shared the same bed that night.

The next morning, Jian Qiaoxin woke up with Chairman Yan sleeping right next to him; recalling the night that Yan Gan raised the knife at the adulterous couple, he quickly ran out of the room to save his own life.

A few months later, Jian Qiaoxin’s crazy morning sickness routines had caught his manager’s attention: “F*ck, you think the big boss will let you off, you dare get pregnant during this time of your career?”

Jian Qiaoxin: “…”

Kill me then. After all, this is his deed.

**

After the breakup, I found out I was pregnant with the mistress’s ex-boyfriend’s child, and that person is also my boss. I would like to hear about it.

this was a surprising story. I love the back and forth between the MC and ml. Their interaction was sort of frustrating at first but you have to admit it was needed to create the right amount of fluff. The ending felt a bit rushed but then again, it did its job fairly well atleast it closed on a good mood.

the extras are so good as well. I was quite curious for those children and thank the author for writing about them. I would like to read stories about the... more>> other couples as well but given the choice I liked that the author focused on those kids and my curiosity is already satisfied.

all in all, this is a worthwhile read. I couldn't stop it halfway and read it in one go.",) <<less

Giving it 5 stars because it doesn't deserve the 3.9 rating. This is easily a 4.3 or 4.4.

Full of fluff and there's real development here. People didn't just fall in love at first sight or something. Of course there are still some typical corny stuff but it's not too cringey or too bad. Even the misunderstandings part were resolved pretty quickly and eventually they both learned to communicate well.

As for MC, well it's the typical soft shou type. This coupled with his experience of maturing early as a child and... more>> spending all those years enduring in the entertainment industry made him seem like a doormat. But actually he still has his bottomline and also eventually learned to express his temper. It was so satisfying when he first slapped Wen Yuan LOL

The antagonists are as flat as expected from this kind of novel. But it's okay since I'm not reading this for the art but for the fluff. <<less

It’s an enjoyable read! I wish there was more moments of them after they got together and with the children. I think some of the reviews are a little harsh. It may not be the best novel, but it’s definitely it’s still quite a nice story.

Generally, this is a feel good novel with humorous interjections, lots of dog food and a bit of dog blood on the side. As usual with Chinese novels, the plot is driven by miscommunication, misunderstandings and antagonists that pop up like mushrooms.

The plot itself is nothing new really. The characters in turn are a bit more interesting. The MC is basically a conservative, obedient rabbit with low self-esteem who is scared of thunder. The ML is a bit more interesting and memorable. He has a very bad temper and has... more>> some violent tendencies when someone crosses the line. I mean, he did chop off the MC's ex's d*ck after catching him in the act with his then boyfriend. However, he is unusually gentle, patient and doting when it comes to the MC, enough for others to doubt their three views because it goes against his initial impression. He is also very shameless and likes to tease the MC a lot, only to have to coax the other into not being angry anymore. The one thing that stood out to me about the ML is that he likes to call himself uncle despite not being THAT much older than the MC (Chinese novels often have larger age gaps like 9 years so 5 years is still moderate). Oh! And the ML likes to wear suits in various shades of red. The colorful suits really felt refreshing.

There were a few minor plot holes that I don't care to recall at the moment. But as they were minor, they did not bother me too much anyway.

In any case, I got what I came for when I read this novel. <<less

The fox fairy thingy was a little bit out of place in the whole story. It was all realism until that part lol. Story's great. ML is a douche at the beginning and deserved to be punched in the face but gets better at the end or whatever. So yeah give it a try

I've found what I've read interesting so far. Outside of a few paragraphs in one chapter, I have no complaints.

If you can stomach guys killing enemies in fantasy type novels, why is someone cutting a cheating fiancé's d*ck off too extreme?

I think most probably reacted poorly to that because it was shown on screen.

Having the doctors botch the reattachment surgery makes it hard to suspend disbelief, but maybe some families have that sort of power in this setting. After all, it's not our version of earth, seeing as guys can get up the duff.

Give it a shot. Put it down when you stop enjoying it. From reviews, it'll be either hit or miss and you'll know quickly. The translation is pretty solid. I don't like pacing so not for me, but still worth trying for others. <<less

I liked it.

Okay, now I know the ML cutting off a d*ck freaked some people out but I think that part wasn't written that seriously?? I just have a dark sense of humor so I don't get fazed by this stuff.

Some people complained about the ML and honestly, I didn't like him initially. He is not a likable person and that doesn't change throughout-I don't think the author was trying to write him as likable but he kinda grows on you? And further in the story, his acts show that... more>> he's good to the MC- not exactly a chivalrous man but he's exactly the partner MC needs and I can appreciate that.

ML is dominating and has a strong need for control -usually, such characters bother me but MC strong need to give himself-he has watched his father and dad be devoted to one another and he yearns for that. He wants to absolutely devote himself to another and he wants security. Their equation works and I find that both parties are happy and I think that's what matters at the end of the day.

One thing that did irk me a little was the pregnancy part like in this world the males can get pregnant and the story revolves around this pregnancy.I have read books with male pregnancy -I have even read those alpha, omega books -it doesn't bother me. But the thing is -it was terribly convenient. Like the vomitting acts up when the MC and ML need to get closer but when the MC has to do some work that would be difficult for a pregnant person to do, then it goes 'Male pregnancies don't have this feature' and that pisses me off a little. It's like the man gets a pregnancy cheat code.

At the end of the day, this might not be everyone's cup of tea but it's not bad writing and the characterization is done well so read a page or two yourself and then decide.

Hey, so the bad reviews about this is accurate, but nonetheless I definitely enjoyed how I had a love and hate emotions surging because of this novel.

Yes, it is the usual dominant tyrant black bellied CEO gong and timid weak rabbit shou. It also revolves around dragging off the misunderstandings that could have been solved if they talked through it. Plus the fact that it had plotholes. Yes, the side characters and antagonists were irritatting as f*. Lastly, this is predictable and cliché.

But what made me enjoy this? It was... more>> actually because of the MC and face slapping. From MC being the timid, closed off, and weak hearted person; he started to learn how to COMMUNICATE and express himself. I understand MC's way of thinking about his relatioship w/ ML in the early part
Spoiler

coz he's just a low class celebrity and ML is the big boss, how can you expect him to always voice out his concerns if the ML didnt even make it clear in the first place?! he can't help it to be scared and insecure. But yep, sometimes MC is also out of the line

[collapse]
For real, seeing his character development was gratifying, and it specially shined near the end. His thoughts were also sassy and savage, most of the time. Face slapping was satisfying too! Gad I didn't realize how much missed those, it was satisfying as heck.

Other characters aside, I am 50-50 regarding ML. Really brutal towards his enemies and also needs to learn how to communicate, badly. Honestly, sometimes I can't fathom his way of thinking, and I was angry at him for quite a few times. Thankfully, almost half through the story, he did get better and became henpecked. Oh! He's also really petty, rouge, sly, and shameless specially towards MC (usually in a good way, but sometimes it's not). The antagonists... They are fkng irritating as hell. Shameless, brainless, senseless pieces of s. They will really make your blood boil, but the way they were handled was satisfying. Some supporting characters were nice but most are just literally cannon fodders.

Regarding the plot, it was really cliché, nothing special, but I stayed hoping for the MC and ML's development. Guess what, it satisfied me and made me eat lots of dog food given the fact how it also tormented me. Imo, the development only appeared in the middle of the story.

TLDR:

If you want a novel just to pass time, with face slapping, CEO ML and Cute MC trope, and be able to patiently reach half through the story waiting for their developments and eat lots of dog food, you can give this a try. <<less

This novel made me kinda angry. I mean Wen Yuan and his antics really angered me. Not sure if I'll continue with this since I find that guy absolutely horrendous.

On another note, the translation quality is excellent. And the MC and ML are tolerable despite being stereotypical. World building seems a bit shaky. Overall OK. If you're good at handling anger-inducing schemes from brainless antagonists, then you'll find it quite interesting.

The relationship between Jian Qiaoxin and Yan Gan was not a simple love story they had many misunderstandings. Both start out with a scummy partner and find their way to each other. The characters are well rounded and the story wasn’t slow paced.
Spoiler

Jian Qiaoxin and Yan Gan’s current boyfriend’s were former childhood sweethearts. When they were caught cheating Yan Gan ruthless personality was shown when he castrated Jian Qiaoxin’s boyfriend. When Yan Gan finds out about Jian Qiaoxin’s pregnancy he at least takes responsibility. Unfortunately it took a while for the two to officially become a couple because of Jian Qiaoxin’s low self esteem and their difference in social status.

One confusing aspect throughout the whole story that pops up several times is the Fox Fairy. At first it just seemed like some romantic superstitious deity of some kind; but Jian Xingchen seems to have some sort of power to see “fox fairy babies” as well as his son Huo Yuxiu being able to apparently shape shift to his true form with a tail and ears. I just wish the whole fox fairy aspect was better explained or not included at all.

Overall I loved this story and even if it made me cry 😭 several times. The translations were great. <<less

It is a good past time story. The ML is somewhat dangerous when he got mad while the MC is the angel or the innocent or pure one. It was good to read but I feel like they missed out many chances of giving the fluff energy.

Cute story. It’s a very cliche romance, drama, entertainment story, so don’t expect much. But if you like this genre then it’s a good fun read. It’s doesn’t have dog blood or aghast, but just those rich dramas, and entertainment tropes and sweet times. Some may not like MC personality, he seem so timid, selfless and only thinking about others, but it’s make him abit endearing. (But little rabbit do bite back if you try to hurt ppl he cares) ML typical overbearing black belly type, moody and abit... more>> violent but as normal he pampers MC alot.

Overall there’s alot of fluffy scenes, some misunderstandings and family drama, slight face slapping but it’s not too boring. Feel the side cps also have their own storyline ah but I can’t find anything. The children are cute, love their side story. Recommend read if need something light and entertainment tropes kinda story. <<less

Ok... I've read it so far and it was good, but the couple is getting slowly but surely on my nerves. They don't know how to speak. This is understandable. But even when one makes moves, the other automatically misunderstands. They have been sweet to each other but remain totally dense and that confines to s*upidity at some point. So... the Mary Sue is too Mary Sue and the smart CEO not so smart. Still 4 stars but really hope this artificial drama will stop soon.

Update: Yes ! The irritating... more>> moments are finished after c56! Well, the most irritating behaviors of the main characters..

Truthfully the premise was interesting. However, when I started to read, I found that MC is really soft-tempered and that is slowly getting annoying.
