Waking up, Kim Hajin finds himself in a familiar world but an unfamiliar body.

A world he created himself and a story he wrote, yet never finished.

He had become his novel’s extra, a filler character with no importance to the story.

The only clue to escaping is to stay close to the main storyline.

However, he soon finds out the world isn’t exactly identical to his creation.

This story started off great, the author did a great job to emphasize Kim Hajin's wish to go back home. I got really encaptured along the story but that ended when the demon merchants, everything after that felt boring for me. The ending left a bitter feeling inside me and I almost dropped this on chapter 360. A lot of comments on the website I used left comments about how they got through the last part through pure will. (Warning, I'll now be talking about spoilers so read at your... more>> own risk, Warning.) The author first messed up when he revealed the existence of 13 other towers and then completely ignored them. I would have loved to read about the other trials and how they affected the MC, so I was feeling really discontent about that. It also made the end seem a little rushed. The author also split up the story too much in the baal arc and the end had a lot more potential. The author could have sent Kim Hajin to another random failed novel where Kim Hajin would have to rely on the original story of that novel. All in all, it was a good novel but that's it, it's far from being a masterpiece in my personal opinion. I hope this didn't discourage you from reading this novel :). I would talk about the positive but my positive thoughts were all in the beginning and middle parts and I have a very bad memory so even though I've been reading this novel without stops, I can't accurately define my experiences and emotions about the beginning of this novel. I just finished reading the novel 15 minutes ago so my emotions are still fresh about the end so, again, don't let this review discourage you. <<less

It's been ages since I've read this story, but then I bumped into them again and remembered that I hadn't done any proofreading. I thought it would be a shame not to recommend such a good story. I really like this story because of the fights, for how rational the MC is, for the fact that the MC isn't very OP (not that he's weak, but his powers are gradual throughout the story and aren't as irrational as countless others. tales I've seen around), the other characters are well constructed... more>> (some could have more depth however)... but
Spoiler

there is always a catch, which in this case is, in my opinion, the end of the story: I found the state RIDICULOUS end of the protagonist! Whether it's about his powers (which basically disappear), his love relationships (let's be honest, I didn't see ANY chemistry) and his interpersonal relationships with the other characters (yes, I'm referring to the fact that all the important characters remember the MC, but the original prota of the book forgot! I really loved how much the original prota respected, admired and loved being the friend of the MC, like bro, the author in the end just stepped on any feeling of protest that the original prota or fans had and the made them forget about the MC!! COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS! Their friendship was PERFECT! Like, what's the author's problem to break them up like that? All women could remember the guy, but his best friend was a cute and pure being who almost had the MC like a brother in her heart, was excluded! I just can't accept that).

Anyway, the MC's daughter is LOVELY!!!

Not leaving out the fact that there are numerous holes in the plot at the end, since because the MC has lost his powers, there is NO ONE else who can fight the 2 final bosses that only he could defeat, that is, after the end of history humanity is OVER!

Over all story is good. It has action, romance (though it is a little salty in my opinion). The school life parts are excellent. After graduation, the story part a little seem to derail since it is a little long. But, the later parts are good. The character interactions, the actions MC make, partake in storyline as only an extra (though he is a op) are consistent. So, I like this novel about 4.3/5.

This is, one of the few novels I've fully read to completion (second, if I remember correctly, first was Warlock of the Magus World, which I never wrote a review on. On another note, the stuff I like reading never seems to be finished...), so I'm no expert on reviewing novels, haha.

It started off good. I admit, it was very interesting to see our protagonist Kim Hajin try to survive as an "extra" in his novel and interacting with the characters he wrote himself as he tries to become stronger... more>> to survive in the main storyline of his novel.

The main draw for me, would be Hajin's interactions with the characters in the novel. In all honesty, the main plot wasn't really all that interesting. I found myself more wanting to see interactions between the characters rather than seeing the plot progress.

Although the novel was very enjoyable, my enjoyment started dropping off towards the end more specifically, around

. From there, it kinda went downhill, but not so much that I'd rate it tr*sh.

The worst part, the part I hated the most, would be the ending. Put simply, it wasn't satisfying. Granted, I don't actually know what a satisfying ending would look like, but I have never seen such a disappointing ending. It was empty. And not the good kind of empty from finishing an amazing read.

No, like actual, what the hell? Why did he make that choice? And as for everyone else... Sure, they showed a bit of what they would do afterwards, but... It doesn't feel right, the way it ended. I'm not sure how to put it into words. It just felt... empty. Short? Brushed off? It felt... insignificant. It just doesn't sit right with me.

There are still some questions left too.

Spoiler

Like what the hell happened to synchronization and Chundong? What the hell happened to the favor he could ask from the co-author? The choice at the end was separate to that right? Did he just leave it unused?

[collapse]

Well, even so, I'd still give it 4 stars for the enjoyment I got from the first half. The first half was great at least.

Now, to look for the next thing to read...

P.S Evandel is so cute~ <<less

Five stars, love the story. But the ending is so bad I removed one star, anticlimactic and it made the experience of the story as a whole horrible.

It's a good read. I binge-read it for 3 days... and I actually enjoyed the first 100 episodes.

I love the interaction of the characters. It's funny and cute.

the development of friendship between the MC and the real cast = love.

but it all turned disappointing for me around chap 125 ish??? (not sure which chap)

Spoiler

It's the time where Chae Nayuns older brother, Chae Jinyoon, died.

I'm really disappointed because the MC has the knowledge and the power to look for a way to save him but he easily gave up cuz he believes nothing could save him. (even though the whole world is full of mysterious sh*t that can save him)

And it all turned disappointing cuz I really like Chae Jinyoon. The 1-3 chaps that he is in was really enjoyable.

[collapse]

and I'm sure that after that, the whole story will be a mess of drama and sh*t that doesn't fit my taste.

In other words... I just got bored. I'll drop it for now and I don't know when I will pick it up again. <<less

The beginning and middle parts were fantastic. Refreshingly uses the elements of tr*sh of the Counts family and ORV to create something unique.

My main gripe is Chae Nayun. My favorite character and the character the author spends the most time developing, but then drops her as a romantic interest? Like cmon. I know Yi Byul is cool but you made us so invested in Nayun and now you just leave it like that? What a waste.

To be blunt, the ending was rushed. It tied up the important parts, but overall... more>> I’m left bittersweet as I know I could be a lot more satisfied than I am now if the author just took it slow and wrote side stories. The last arc ended and the author used the following 8 or so chapters to wrap it up. Like, what?

Overall, great read. But don’t be afraid to drop it midway. I doubt I would be left with this hole in my heart if I didn’t see the story end so weird. <<less

Boosting 5 stars. I mostly judge what I read according to its 5 stars rating. I love this novel, tho it went downhill near the end, I still enjoyed it very much. Too bad the side stories isn't translated yet.

Well... I can’t explain how I’m feeling while reading this. I never would’ve thought that I hate girls so much that I just want them to disappear in this novel. I am a girl myself but mannnn... he kept mention that girl so much that I start to hate it. I hate it so much I just can’t explain it.

I thought it’s gonna be kinda the same with tr*sh of the counts family cause that what I saw on other people’s comments but.. I am severely disappointed.

Not my cup of... more>> tea sadly. I’ll just stick with my Lord of the Mysteries, tr*sh of the Count’s Family and BL novels. At least those doesn’t have much interaction with girls lol. <<less

It's very entertaining. Yes I agree that it got worse but it wasn't that bad. It was still higher quality than most out there so I highly recommend giving it a read. There will be some things that the author should've gone more in depth about but even if you don't like it it's still an entertaining read to pass time. I have a few complaints, 1, things that were super important to the story were rushed and the author just plopped it in there with no background. 2, none... more>> of the enemies died. It's not for lack of trying, the main characters didn't fight to reform the enemy, they went in to kill. But they never actually succeeded. 3, The ending didn't make sense, all I'll say is considering the emotions of the MC and the limits that the co author restricted him to, it makes no sense that he chose what he did. However I still would recommend this to anyone looking for something to read. Don't go in taking it super seriously, just enjoy it and have fun. That's what I did and I didn't even notice it's flaws until after I finished. <<less

Hee... What can I say? This Novel is Top notch in so many aspects that even if the Ending have so much to be desired or characters with no closures.

Plot, Characters and Premise is good.

If you truly want to ENJOY and have ease of mind while reading this novel I advice you to stop at:

Spoiler

Stop at the Part where they destroy 'Baal's Tower. You'll get the ending you want when you stop reading there. Trust me.

It's one of the best novel I have ever seen, but the ending is a little sad. The relationship are realy well done and I think this is the strongest point of the novel. The MC isn't the strongest and in fact in the end he is the one who have the baddest ending. I would have prefered another ending, but I can at least sopport it.

i loved this. I loved the characters and the story. BUT the ending is so bad it made me regret all the hours i've invested reading this novel. It left me so frustrated. It doesn't even make sense to begin with. Why would they forget about him when he clearly became a character of the novel. And what about the wish? Why didn't he wish to stay in the novel? I was expecting so much to happen between MC and byul and I was left alone with my disappointment. So read this novel but stop just before the ending and imagine your own version of the ending. Believe me, don't finish this.

Same as most of the reviews here, I really liked how it began. The school arc was good and I enjoyed the characters and the events. Some people said that the story started going downhill after that but personally I also liked the mercenary arc and the arcs that followed. I am just disappointed with how it ended. I feel like it could've been better. Hajin deserves a better ending. The ending sucks.

First, I like Hajin's character. He is unassuming, although there are times where it's gotten to a point... more>> that he's pretending to be dense. He also works hard not to take Suho's supposed accomplishment as much as possible but of course his intervention is inevitable. Aside from ML, I like the whole Chameleon Troupe. I love Cheok Jungyeong, so entertaining to read and his character development from being a plain s*upid violent dude to a somewhat softy. I also like Jain, girly really is chill. Of course, Boss too hahahaha this soft mild tsundere girl.

I kind of rushed the ending because I got bored with the whole Orden and Baal episodes. The moment Tower of Wish ended I grew tired of it and just want to know how it ends. I also want more interaction with the cute Evandel!

I find Nayun from School Arc super annoying. That btch Jin Sahyuk is also obsessive and more annoying. At some point I pity her but most of the time she's annoying and makes me want to smack her.

Like I said the ending was disappointing.

Spoiler

For me, Hajin deserves better. I would've preferred it if his chara was just nerfed but to take away his core skills and abilities was too much. Also, the hell with the whole gang forgetting about him? That really s**ked.

this is one of the best novels I have read granted I have only read like 8 of them in total. But still, this is very good.

The story is very nice and the best thing about the story is the characters. All the characters including villains and side characters are very fleshed out. They have unique personalities and are very amusing to watch. Their relations with each other their families and the MC are very interesting, to say the least.

All the characters grow tremendously throughout the novel and it does... more>> not have any part of it where I felt that the novel became boring. It was a good ride from start to finish.

Really please read the novel if you haven't. You will not regret it. All the female characters are very adorable. Especially Yi Byul and Evandel. You will know when you read it.

Seriously read this novel and judge it for yourself. Don't just read these reviews and just throw this novel out. Read it, and you will be presented with a very good story, but the only downside is the ending is a bit lacking. But it will still feel satisfying nonetheless. Just it could have been better. <<less

It's a great novel but like everyone is telling the more you read it the more it's dropping in quality. If I remember correctly I believed that a great reason for that was that the author had health issues and couldn't keep up with the dead lines.

I’m no good at writing review but I had to go on record talking this book up.

I just finished chapter 378 which I believe is the last.

personally I loved this book. Great story and the MC powers up in cool unique ways that I would never have thought about.

Good character development for the MC and other important characters. The ending is okay. Personally wish it ended a little different but can’t go into details without spoilers.

All in all I highly recommend this book for an awesome fantasy escape.

Not bad. Characters are relatively developed (mostly some of the side characters, particularly one character that has the most character development). There is a harem so that takes away from the series, but its tolerable, since the characters actually have a non-cookie cutter personality and have some form of depth.

The fights aren't really interesting because they are more or less the equivalent of old shounen fight style where everyone yells a skill name and finish fights in 1 move.

I'll be honest, I stayed for the cute daughter. If it weren't... more>> for the cute daughter character, I probably would have stopped along time ago, because the plot itself isn't really intriguing enough.

The ending is pretty terrible though. But I expect webnovels to have terribly written endings. <<less
