Kisaragi Touya (35 years old) was playing the usual MMO after work when he was suddenly summoned as his in-game character. However, the character Touya was summoned as, was his Priest side-character that only served for item storage. The princess and summoner was disappointed and began another summoning ceremony. This time, she got a valiant young man with the title of Hero. The unneeded Touya was meant to be sent back to his original world, but he appeared in an unfamiliar place instead. “Don’t tell me the Repatriation Spell didn’t send me back to my world…”. Nonetheless, he manages to access the items in his storage and use them for a living. Using his cheat items, Touya tries to change his job into that of his main character, a Berserker, but he is stuck as a Sage for the time being. Summoned as the strongest magic job, the Berserker wannabe adventures in another world!

I really liked this novel.

It's an isekai and a harem. Most of us have read enough of these to have pretty low expectations.

This novel delivered in so many ways I didn't expect it too.

Yes it's a harem but I liked the characters and most of the interactions between MC and his "harem"

It's more of an unwanted harem though especially in the beginning.

I can't really think of anything else to add for it right now but to tell you it's a good, wholesome story.

MC isn't tr*sh like in many isekai but he also goes out of his way not to get involved in troublesome things (although trouble always seems to come to him anyways)

There won't be any tr*shy r*pe or NTR in this. Like I said it's wholesome.

Now as far as the bad:

1. Author hasn't updated wn since the beginning of the year.

2. The last few chapters seem like the author doesn't really know what to do for the next story arc.

3. There is one scene that grinds my gears - A noble that was treating him like tr*sh is treated nicely, and really crappy behaviour is overlooked. (Probably to used to CN's face slapping now and that's what I wanted there)

Ok that's basically it.

I love this novel at the beginning of the story where it only focus on how the MC tries to get stronger in order for him to be a Berserker and have revenge towards the ones who summoned him and discard him when they deemed him to be useless. What I don't like is as the story progress, it turn into some s*upid harem story where every females on this novel only think to spread their legs at MC when they know how abnormally strong and exceptional MC is. What's... more>> irritates me is that they even have a gull to control MC what to do or where to go and MC is like a goat with noose on his head being led by those b*tches where to go. A harem does nothing good other than kills the reader mood with excessive useless so called romance plot. I'd rather read good fight or war plot rather than wasting time reading other's romance fantasies. <<less

A very generic isekai, a bit bland but translation is decent. Overall, its ok I suppose. Until I came across the ultimate wtf?? scene I have seen in so long

Basically MC got drugged and (although not mentioned in detail) r*ped or at least what seems/inteded as r*pe by 3 of the "heroines"

But wait it gets worse, that wasnt the intention of the drug at all. The intention was to charm the MC to be their servant/s*ave/etc becuase there are having a rough time and the MC is strong.

So basically instead of "please help us" they did a "become our charmed s*ave"

And what did the MC do? Nothing. Continue daily life. Ok cool that happened, I will still protect you guys lol.

Bruh... what the hell is wrong with you MC... personally I would give them a punch and leave.

Worst scene, a barely human MC, and the worst heroines ever. But if you are okay with that, then go on ahead and read

I have to say I am very satisfied with this novel up to where I am... This is one of the few isekai Japanese novels where the MC actually realises where he is and how he is supposed to act there

You won't find any of the usual Japanese beta crap (oh I used to live in a civilised society... oh killing is wrong, let me just spare this dude so that he can come and kill me later) There is none of the pretentious good guy righteousness that I'm so... more>> sick of... If a random dude wants to off you mu*der him first

I like the way the MC has already adapted to that lifestyle and he has not fastidiously stuck to the usual Japanese beta code... I'm really looking forward to finishing this masterpiece although I wish the chapters could be posted daily <<less

It's hard to describe, but the best way I can put it is a generic isekai... that has been written very well. MC is likeable, has shallow but still vibrant characters filled with energy, and nice character development for the MC as he adapts to this new world. Also a large war horse with dreadlocks is epic. 4 out of 5 for just showing how to do generic right.

Manga is great too.

A decent light and relaxing read.

don’t expect too much but it’s a good read if you like op characters and a not too serious story.

note: 5 stars for what is technically just average because I enjoyed it and look forward to updates.

I read through the chapters last night on my phone, so far it's pretty good. The characters aren't overly written the MC isn't some chuckle-head beta, though his humble bragging can get annoying but hopefully it ease up after a while. The story is interesting and the magic and world isn't overly "game like". All in all it's a solid read and if you're into isekai's you won't be disappointed.

To the translators, you guys are awesome I read multiple I hope you continue this series as I'm sure it'll attract... more>> more and more readers keep up the great work. <<less

I'd say a 1.5 star rating is enough for this. It started off strong (kinda?), but then the harem started, and this is where stories like this go awry. If you're looking for something that requires no thought, that you can just breeze through, then this is for you. But if you're part of the group that likes an actual working plot, then look elsewhere.

Translation is pretty good, so kudos to the TL

Novel not that good. If u have no expectations and want to waste time then go ahead and read. MC says one thing and does another, which is annoying. There were parts about this novel that were funny but that didn't redeem how boring the MC is. The author keeps mentioning how the MC wants to live a mundane and boring as life, which is getting on my nerves, I tell yah. If someone offers you large rewards for a dangerous request, and u only take 10% of the rewards... more>> then u one dumb idiot, I'm talking about this MC. <<less

This is not a generic novel about a guy transported into another world.

How is it not generic?

Simple: MC is not a dumbf*ck.

The rest is pretty usual - renting a house, saving a princess, killing a mob, riding a carriage, etc.

But MC makes the difference.

The author also used some brains to make the story itself entertaining.

An absolute mediocrity borderline garbage that's also carbon copy of everything that come in its genre: a bland, brick faced easily inserted MC and blatant wish fulfilment plot that's so lazy and unmotivated the MC have s*x because the author wanted to.
