As the only girl born in the four generations of the Mo family – a prestigious and powerful family in Hua Xia – Mo Liu Gui has been adored since the day she was born. She is gorgeous, naive and intelligent. Behind her is the noble Mo family and by her side are countless excellent pursuers. Whether in career or relationships, she’s the heaven born life winner.

It’s a pity that Mo Di is not Mo Liu Gui but a tragic contrast of what one would call life winner.

He has been disliked by everyone in the Mo family since the day he was born. When he left the incubator, the whole family was competing for his sister but left him in the hospital corridor overnight. He never took a sip of his mother’s milk because it was just enough to feed one child. He has not been held by his father once because his father was extremely disgusted with the culprit who robbed his darling of nutrition in their mother’s womb.

His five brothers never looked him in the eye. When he was six years old, they even ganged up to beat him till he had a fractured right leg which almost left him permanently disabled, all because he scored first place in his grade while his sister scored third, making Mo Liu Gui sad to the point of crying.

Countless scolding, neglect, double standard treatment, and even abuse in the name of education have been habitually done to Mo Di. Finally one day, the Mo Di who has been soft and obedient for eighteen years turned black.

He was no longer a soft and sensible man but had become gloomy and aggressive. He ran away from home, started his own company and made new friends. Everything is booming but when his company was about to go public, he was found by the Mo family. During a struggle with Mo Liu Gui who was asking him to come home, she fell and almost had a miscarriage. This incited everyone’s anger and they forced him into a mental hospital.

In the end, he died on his 25th birthday…
Afterwards, he was reborn.

Very sad story, but so far it's making me excited to see what sort of revenge the MC is going to get and how he's going to end that spoiled sister and 'family' of his.

Spoiler

The MC is not timid or weak, he's actually a very well thought out person, he's also very smart. Right now he's acting weak for the time being in order to plot his revenge.

[collapse]

Spoiler

I especially hope that the brothers and ex-best friend rot, I'm mean how just how could someone think that a person who just had a near-death allergic reaction be guilty of framing their sister for purposely giving him cocoa. Even going as far as to bash the MC's head in the ground, break his hand and dislocate a leg. Also, just how'd the family came up with the idea that the MC (Who was hospitalized at the time) poisoned the dad, like when, when and how would the MC even be able to do that when he being bashed on the ground~~

[collapse]

The story makes sense and has a unique plot, it makes you just want to bash the villains yourself and you just can't wait until the MC and ML get revenge on the bunch.

A lot happens in the first 10 chapters, but surprisingly, it doesn't feel as if the story's being rushed. Everything is corresponding and goes in order, yet still manages to entice the reader.

It's a rebirth, face-slapping, and dog-blooded but fluffy novel. It also has a cliche plot. Despite that, it's balanced and well-written, with good plot twists and character designs. I found it surprising how I liked this novel because sometimes novels with such heavy and complex drama aren't my cup of tea. While the plot was intricate, it was still easy to understand and follow. The author has a good vision of how they want to write and end this novel, no matter how cliche and predictable the story is.

What I liked about this novel is that the author took the time to write about the ending of the side characters and the villain's ending. The plot twists were unexpected but in line with the novel. There also weren't obvious plot holes.

This novel was fun to read. It has a good plot and character designs. Everything was easy to understand and follow. I recommend this novel to people who want to read something complex, something more dramatic, but not too much. <<less

The revenge is so underwhelming and bland because the villains are so crudely written. It's like everything can be blamed on the MC sister's golden finger. So it doesn't feel fulfilling when the sister's supporters get their retribution because how much of it was due to their bad nature or were they actually just victims of the sister's golden finger?

There isn't much to look forward to regarding the romance. I especially dislike how the ML feel in love with the MC's good boy persona. Their relationship doesn't feel honest and... more>> there is a serious lack of chemistry.

Also, the MC thinking he can just compensate the ML by "being the best boyfriend, loyal and loving him only" in exchange for using him is so... cheap. I'll rather he save his feelings and just straight-up use the ML. MC's behavior is like "Oh I also sacrificed myself for using you so we're even."

Not much to be said about the ML, he's just there to be MC's lover. Likewise, the MC is so-so nothing special. I think they definitely could've made him cooler but he's stuck with that innocent good boy persona half the time. It's also kind of funny how most things can be solved by his hacking and monitoring, I mean are security systems that vulnerable?

There are better second-chance revenge novels out there, I wouldn't waste my time on this one. <<less

5/5 for the level of enjoyment and satisfaction. This is NOT a mindless face-slapping novel and the reveal of why MC's first life went so wrong and the sister 'halo'? *Chefs kiss*

Thing is that the reason isn't revealed until almost the end and there's a reason for that too! No wonder impatient people left low reviews unaware that their so called 'criticism' is entirely unwarranted. (What a face slap to them lol)

Anyway, I won't say this novel is perfect, but overall it's just sheer fun. The ML is much... more>> older BUT the relationship is all above board. And much more than what it seems ❤️

sooo glad I gave this a chance! <<less

Actually thought that the plot will go on like a 'hero slaying demon king journey'. MC succeeds in killing the mini-boss (his brothers), got an upgrade (information to make them serve their punishment), and were then confronted by a stronger enemy (yet another one of his sister's followers), repeat until he got them all. There is also the 'thriller' feel I felt in the first half of the novel making this actually enjoyable for me to read despite being a brainless revenge rebirth plot. It is fun to see how... more>> horrifying it is for our MC, to experience ongoing dread and knowing how hard it is to escape from them any time soon. I can't even have the energy to be mad at that cult, AKA MC's sister worshipper, because of how distracted I am, or maybe how I find this is extremely exaggerated even for a revenge novel standard.

But, after the first half, the novel lost their momentum because of how the novel tries to shift the focus to MC and ML's relationship (btw, the romance's soo mid too). There's no emotional depth anymore, everything turned into just a description rather than a dialogue. It is also very disappointing how many characters got introduced and then end up becoming irrelevant to the whole story, despite the prior build-up/foreshadowing the author has written. The character that sticks up to MC for some unknown reason? never heard anything from him. The big boss and a new boss that got introduced as being this Mr. Bigshot? never got the chance to properly showcase their skills and/or had a lackluster ending. The ending itself is very cheap in my opinion. It looks very forced with many luck factor in it so it'll be the most perfect ending for MC.
Spoiler

In the final confrontation, MC got kidnapped and almost killed. But one of the killer died accidently in his fall with the other killer.. WTF, what is this? Final destination??

[collapse]
We got this background storytelling where MC suffers abuse, both physically and mentally from the moment he is born. But you make the final fate of the villains... just like THAT?

There's not even enough satisfaction/satiscfactionary conclusion from the torture we've been thorough while reading this. The ending just describes the trouble MC and ML gave to the villain as simply as possible. While most of the time it was just describing how rich and powerful the MC and ML are now. And you know that nowhere near enough, describing fictional wealth, in a novel that is not focused on how they gained it are just an empty talk. What we as a reader care though, is what actually IS the focus of the novel, MC's family! That's where we got the most dopamine from, the annoying ass villains finally regretting what they have done. But the author somehow takes a realistic route with this (in a novel where all the villains are brainless? really?).

Spoiler

They do not regret on what they did to MC, although they are doesn't love MC's sister anymore. The author for some reason also didn't give MC's family (other than the third brother) the memories of their previous life, b-but why?? That was the whole thing about this genre, if you give me a brainless abuse, then you better give them an endless amount of regret. Do you know what the worst thing is? the author doesn't even have any description of what the supposed story should be. Yes we know it's a novel focused on MC's game-making career with a romantic subplot implicitly written, but other than that? none! Like what is the point of that? of these whole things?? Then, FOR SOME reason, author decided to transmigrated MC and ML to another world when they both already dead, for what exactly???

[collapse]

But the one I am most disappointed with is the game element. Although I convince myself not to hope too much, seeing the game competition's reality show version just being used as a stage for some scandal to berate the MC is just too much. That was literally the whole purpose of this program in the author's mind apparently. NO FU-KING DEVELOPMENT or even any description of them after the initial introduction for characters they had written detailedly (the team's captain? MC's new team member? none at all, who, that Du kid that was also the supposed male lead that fortunately escape MC's sister charm? oh yeah we not gonna talk about him, even though we give him A LOT of screentime). Though honestly, I have never regretted reading this novel, it does have some potential (that surprisingly author's skipped). I like the first half of the story, but other than that, this just tastes like card box cake, bland as water. <<less

This novel is not for everyone especially those who has anger issues, it's so freaking frustrating and satisfying at the same time. I advise you to calm your nerves and be ready for some illogical and frustrating family drama.

Reasons to read:

1. The MC and ML relationship is so wholesome and sweet.

... more>> 2. The face slapping, even though in my view is not enough.

and the downside of this novel:

Brain-dead, basically irrational and dumb villains, favoritism, brainwashing, h*mophobia, the sudden changes (in terms of physical spectrum) of the MC, and the ffl.

But setting all that aside, the ending is so touching and cute I want to hug them both ❤️

= Do I recommend this novel? Yes and no, depends on your taste but you should try reading it. It's worth to try. <<less

This story was an interesting read, slightly annoying because there were so many inconsistencies with Mo Dis personality, if you’re grown then be grown why do you insist on acting childish even when you’re alone? My biggest issue was the emphasis on how you Mo di was, either you say it once and we move on n just pretend like the age gap is normal OR you make them closer in age, it made me uncomfortable how obsessed Mu Tian Heng was with their age gap or how they babies... more>> tf outa him. I also hated how brainwashed everyone was... like I understand why but I also just felt so angry with how s*upid everyone acted. overall it was an interesting read, it can drag a bit though <<less

This novel was really satisfying. Like, seriously. Don't let the negative reviews deter you from this novel and give it a shot.

It's not really as bad as the reviews say, it's fun to read, just don't take it too seriously and keep the contents of the first chapters in mind the whole way and you'll be able to get through it.

Everything will be explained in the later chapters, the plot holes, characters being brain dead etc. There's a reasonable explanation for everything.

Honestly, although it's not the best, it really satisfied... more>> me to the brim, especially the last chapter, it really hit the spot. It's WORTH a read, especially if you're tired of just day dreaming and imagining scenarios for the characters only for them not to actually happen in the novel, if you want your imagination and expectations fulfilled this is the novel for you.

Would I reread? Yes.

Would I recommend? YES. <<less

although the dogblood was utterly revolting, especially the villains with their lack of logic and senseless way of the thinking; this story had one of the more satisfying face slapping content among the ones i've read; the premise and the twist were also interesting... if you ever decide to read this just make sure you have enough dedication and can grit your teeth through all of it... this isn't for everyone, but it's worth giving it a read once you've overcome the annoying and irritating way the Mo family's brain... more>> circuits work... which, uhm takes up around 70% of the whole story 😆 so a word of caution before you pick this up... the ending was quite satisfying too <<less

So much of this novel is pure toxic filler.

It's completely unnecessary for the author to have toxic net posts or repetitive language that exist for the sole purpose of making the reader angry take up an entire 70% of the novel.

SERIOUSLY, like entire chapters are just completely dumbass sh*t of showing how s*upid and toxic the side characters are.

... more>> People get the idea after 2 sentences. But nope, here's a 10-page essay. X1000.

The repetitive language and abuse doesn't advance the plot in any way or even change anything, it literally exists just to mark up the wordcount so the author can get more $

smh

Yes it's obvious that there's a "larger issue at work" and the main villain has some kind of halo/enchantment, yes duh, that's obvious.

I have no issue with completely below negative IQ villains; I have an issue with bullsh*t pacing, 70% filler content, and nothing actually interesting happening.

Because the way the MC gets his revenge is just ridiculously repetitive as well.

Spoiler

Every act follows this basic cycle: Bad guy #1 does a shitty thing to frame the MC > gets publicity and smears MC on social media > everyone spits on MC on social > MC posts evidence clearing his name > bad guy #1 gets jailed > everyone on social media feels bad for MC > bad guy #2 steps in and frames MC for 2nd thing > Repeat.

[collapse]

ngl, dunno what fantasy world the author lives in, but it's kind of hilarious how much importance social media has in all the revenge cycles. MC can literally pull down multi-billion dollar companies just with bad press. (Lmao)

At one point I was just skipping or skimming over entire chapters; all I wanted to know was how the MC was going to build his company but man, that part ended up being boring as heck too.

Unless you have nothing else to read, I wouldn't recommend this.

Translation is pretty good though. <<less

When you just wanted to read a feel-good, face-slapping, dog-blooded drama, then this is it. Since that was what I was looking for, I love this one. Easy to read, mind-numbing enough, and you definitely don't have to worry whether MC will face any hardships (except for the past life). MC with flaws is good and creates an engaging plot with his struggles, but as I said before, this is just a feel-good story where you just read for the satisfaction of seeing MC always comes up on top (except... more>> in front of ML). <<less

This novel has a fairly dark story, but the plot itself is quite light and I think it suits everyone's taste.

There is also a twist in the ending of this story which is quite surprising. But if I can being honest, it would be better if the author developed the twist at the end to become the subject of the story rather than just making it a surprising twist in the near of ending.

Because the whole content of this novel itself still very lacking, its only contains a light plot... more>> about revenge.

But again, this is just a lighthearted story that is fun to read to fill your spare time, so don't expect too much for the mind-boggling rollercoaster plot. <<less

First of all, the novel is mainly revenge-centered, with little hints of fluff and angst here and there. It was a satisfying read, seeing the scum characters get their karma. The ending was also very sweet. I also loved the side characters and CPs which I wish was developed a bit more, or at least I hoped to see their story more. Particularly between Mo Di's friends. I really liked the ML, but I only wish the MC was 18 when he meets the ML since it wouldn't make much... more>> of a difference. Other than that, many of the plot holes about the origin of Mo Liu Gui and the ML and MC are revealed at the end, so you want to stay for that. <<less

This was a very simple, satisfying face slapping novel. The author loves explaining the back story and previous time lines. I do like how the main character doesn't just blindly get revenge on people who wronged him in a previous timeline. Most of the people have shown their malicious intent before he attacked. The ending was a very nice opened ending, and as one of the commenters said, it is satisfying to know they can have something not constrained by any predestined story.

oh wow *deep breathes*

so basically, I think people need a warning when considering whether to read this or not:

DOGBLOOD!!!!!

Spoiler

Okay, so... you kinda realize it's nothing new, one can almost guess what's gonna happen, bc it follows a pattern:

Presenting MC's past life torture -> present MC planning his revenge + ML sometimes helping -> faceslap

and repeat

[collapse]

You don't really need to think much through out this novel, lol

It's quite an easy ready, no heavy plot... buuuut yes, there are revelations... but bOi

Spoiler

the chapters are LOADED with hate, angst, sadness... bc MC's past

each "session" (tarnishing MC and then faceslap) is quite short, but it feels HEAVY

I remember when I was in chapter 40, I couldn't accept I was JUST in chapter 40 bc it felt like around the 100s in other novels hahaha

[collapse]

Not bad, you feel hate and then you read faceslap

I feel that's basically it

I'll leave this here:

KARMA IS A BTCH!

First, I just want to thank the translator for translating this beautiful story! I loved this story and so far I love The Tyrant's Beloved Empress just as much. Thank you so much for all of your hard work!

As for the book.... it's just a gem! It has everything I love in a story: revenge, face-slapping, healthy romance, a power-couple, full, etc. The MC and ML are goals. They are such partners to each other. They communicate, work together, and respect each other even when they disagree. They listen and... more>> believe in each other even when bad news comes out. They don't just let misunderstands fester.

As for the comment, discussing how unrealistic it is. I disagree. First, there is a logical reason for what happened and why they hated the MC so much. Maybe the person leaving the review did not get that far and that's why he doesn't understand. But that aside, this happens in real life. Sometimes families just despise a child for no good reason but love the other completely. It makes no sense but it does happen. One reason they hated him was because the MC was immune to the evil sister. God... cinderella's step sisters had nothing on this scum.

The real reason was that:

Spoiler

There's a twist at the end I did not see coming. But it gave a reason for why the family hated Mo Di. The sister caused every single thing. She purposely destroyed the MC and ML and their from the beginning. She is a horrible person. I finally understand what the other reviews meant when they said that woman is vicious. At the very end every single person she had poisoned gets their sanity back and understands reality. I felt a teeny tiny bit bad for them. I mean... did they really have a choice in their own actions?

[collapse]

She was such a good villain. I loved hating her and watching everything she wanted get taken away one by one. I will definitely be reading this again, and it's going on my loves list. <<less

I almost finished this novel, currently on ch 124. Before I start, I really have to say thank you to the translator (translating boredom)

I'm not a native english speaker, forgive me if I have any spellings or grammar mistakes.

First of all, I'm really satisfied with the ML. Maybe it's because I read too much novels with scum ML, idk lol.

Anyways, even at the beginning I don't really understand how he fell for MC but at least this ML respected MC's decisions and had some self awareness about his own... more>> age and their age gaps xD

I'm glad there's no complicated misunderstandings between MC and ML, they solved it quickly.

About the MC, I don't rlly know what to say. He's a calm and smart guy. I'm sure even without ML falling for MC, MC still could do his revenge.

And oh, the face slappings are satisfying but I don't think it's enough. MC really suffered a lot in his past life, my weak heart couldn't stand it.

Lastly, MC's family, especially the shitty sister. They're really tr*sh, unreasonable, disgusting and brainless.
Spoiler

Except for the sister that's even worse, the other antagonist has some reason why they're like that.

[collapse]

Spoiler about ML:

Spoiler

on the past life, even MC's a fool ML still fell for MC. Cuz some reason he couldn't prevent MC's death. But don't worry, ML avenged him. QAQ I was really touched.

[collapse]

Edit: i've got some question regarding mc's programming skill, I dunno if it's because missed something or the answer is on the remaining chapter. <<less
