It's pretty good so far. Mc's interaction with her companion and sometimes her companion misunderstands her a bit.

I don't really know what else to write about so I'll write what I don't like but don't dislike:

  1. Slow Updates...

Overall I like this story and the concept. I've read the RAW well ahead and it remains interesting. Interesting premise, but not your standard OP protagonist affair. Yes the protagonist appears OP, but is lacking in knowledge of the world she is in. Also it seems the protagonist's original personality is rapidly being overtaken by the RP personality created for the game character, which results in some funny and sometimes really strange turn of events.

Although this is tagged gender bender, this story doesn't feel like it. Very light spoilers ahead describing why

Our MC "Nacht" is supposed to be an alternate game character that a guy named "Toru" made for fun. Like other isekai novels where a player gets reincarnated into their game character, here it feels more like Nacht gained Toru's memories while maintaining her own sense of self.

Although this is all my speculation or deduction which may or may not be true. The way Nacht acts really doesn't feels like the way a guy would act of he's in a woman's body (personal deduction based on read*ahem*researching through other gender bender stuff)

[collapse]

Tldr- Nacht has a very unique personality or individuality of a game character rather than a player which hardly makes it feel like a gender bender story. <<less

Pretty good so far. It follows the standard isekai start and op character who was weak in the game but super strong in this world. But I like it, a nice simple isekai that I can enjoy. It is still to early to fully judge it but by reading the manga I feel the story is decent.

I was initially planning to give this 5/5 stars but I started to really notice some annoying parts in volume 2. Perhaps 3/5 is a little harsh, I would like to give it 3.5/5, but we can't give half scores and what with the discontinuation and hiatus, it's closer to 3 than 4, so 3/5 it is.

It managed to hit a lot of my sweet spots, I love OP characters, I like when they're not doormats to everyone, I like when they don't get pushed around, I like cute girls... more>> and I'm a god damn sucker for things like dragon girls and the chuunibyou stuff is great when used in a somewhat mature manner. I like how he didn't think much about morality or get hung up about crap like that and how the author skipped a lot of character development stuff by just saying "he merged with the soul of the character" which gave him (her) a personality more fitting of her new identity.

The first volume was really good, it had the focus on the MC, showing her power, some minor drama but overall no s*upid crap like making her go weak whenever the author wanted it to, so even the "bosses" she has met so far are very weak compared to her and she doesn't have a hard time for inexplicable reasons, at most things drag out slightly because she plays/teases them and has the leisure/luxury to do so and satisfy her curiosity.

At most I had some minor parts I didn't like, such as how she's acting a bit too casual at times, too easily gives away stuff and uses things when it's not necessary. It's not a funny kind of casualness, just kind of s*upid, especially with limited consumables which should only be used as a last resort. To be honest, her attitude often makes her seem somewhat s*upid, which for me is a turn off. It's nothing big, but still enough to not make me fall for it for real.

The second volume, which is also the last due to discontinuation of the LN and hiatus of the WN, left a lot to be desired. After the good start, it appears things quickly changed gears. Instead of a fun adventure story, the pace ends up a bit too slow. It feels that rather than focusing on the MC, we focus on other girls in the story, which ends up terribly boring. Meanwhile, attention isn't put where it should at all. The protagonist ends up seeming like she's not one at all. I wanted a lot more focus on the mc's actions, what she does, who she talks to, with her in charge. Instead, even things like her fight against a daughter of the lord of calamity, which had a lot of potential, end up as a mere side piece to Aisha, her half-elf 20 year old servant/loli lover that acts like an actual kid and is ridiculously innocent.

We see her whole bullsh*t charade of fighting with emotions of the past, getting a new friend through some s*upid and melodramatic developments and your typical "I'm so kind I make this hopeless fella turn over a new leaf" crap that is more fit to a shounen action manga where friendship and love is needlessly overpowered. Oh, and we also get to see background stories of worthless side characters. Everything to avoid focusing on the MC. It was a very dull read.

That's really not what I want to read. If I wanted to read that, I wouldn't go for an isekai genderbent comedy/adventure novel, I would go for a tragedy/drama setting shounen novel where an innocent loli is the protagonist.

The worst part, however, is the relationship between the MC and her "servant" aisha. The MC, nacht, is set up to be a selfish, arrogant and "I live for myself" kind of character, but aisha ends up forcing her to act like a generic beta protagonist with the only exception that she has the tendency to go slightly out of control at times. After the initial killing of bandits and the meeting with aisha, she is now, thanks to aisha, not killing anyone anymore. The dragon who harmed aisha greatly got to live because aisha didn't want to kill it. The villain who tried to screw them over and kill aisha twice got to live, because aisha said so. She saves random people, because aisha said so. She has now, by her actions, got the principle of never harming anyone innocent, or it seems anyone at all, because aisha said so. She's so ridiculously dependent on that loli servant that I can't help but begin disliking aisha. It's like seeing someone pretend to be tough but at the end of the day not actually going all the way, like a dog barking but not biting. It's pathetic and pretentious.

She can't live without Aisha, she can't take action without aisha, being without aisha makes her despair, she would lose her mind and destroy the world if aisha got killed, she pampers her at every given moment and always acts depending on what aisha wants. A small quarrel turns the MC into a wreck of emotions. It gets to the point where it's not only pathetic but also disgusting. The MC is nothing but a s*ave, some kind of mother dragon that can't even function by herself. The author sets her up to be so much more, but she's fettered so much by her servant that it completely destroys her initial personality.

I have no real interest in a MC that is so frail mentally and so obsessed with a loli that they depend on them to this extent, especially not when said loli runs contrary to the mc's original setting and turns what was once a cool character into just a thinly veiled beta MC that I think most of us are fed up with by now. <<less

Not a lot translated so far but I read ahead and the writer really subverts a lot of expectations, which makes for an enjoyable story with fun characters. The Main character Nacht is overpowered, but that's half the fun. To see what you think will be her simply thrashing her enemies turn into something more deep and meaningful.

it's overlord without kingdom-building and misunderstanding. The part that directly involve protagonist is bad. You know how painfully bland he is without his comedic inner monologue?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
genderbender, modern values, modern knowledge, in-game knowledge. Nothing really got any used. She might as well be random hibernate dragon and nothing will change. I feel like I got bait into this story.

only good parts are other characters' perspective that not involve the protagonist. Which become fewer and fewer.

this story is very much different from its manga counterpart.

it has multiple pov. It can get dark. It directly talks about cruelty of such fantasy like r*pe and child abuse as matter of facts.

protagonist has good morals. But she won't go out of her way to actively save every people. She was just drag along by her elf girl companion.

It's about an OP dragon loli got Isekaied and go to adventure with loli elf it's remind you of bear kuma but less loli and more dark? I guess since the MC can see souls and see what crime or sin they have committed overall it's still in early chapter so I'm not sure but so far it's a good read

The only thing I liked about the novel's progression is the gradual change from "human memory taking over dragon body" to "human memory fades away to some sort of afterglow." That's it. The way it got slightly realistic in the way that there's zero probability of the human guy's memory actually having that much influence over a half-dragon's.

As for the way the story reads, it's too much filler. You could skip half the page down and still be on the same narration you tried to skip in the first place. The interactions seem forced, and it just reeked of pedophilia. The part with the bandits liking children was unnecessary, even to forward the plot. Seriously, bringing a young girl that's the same age as Aisha's body as a s*x sl*ve was as worthless as creating a prisoner with a dead husband and child, just to have her think of said child as her own. Despite including this, probably as the prisoner's perspective, the author tossed these characters aside the moment that portion of the story ended. What was the point of that information, aside from padding the story?

The MC even thought of Aisha in a s*xual way at some point, which made me more uncomfortable than anything. I get it, nudity is embarrassing, but getting all hot and bothered by a child? Saying you're glad to travel with a beautiful girl like her, again, a 7-8 year old? The passersby looking at Aisha in her maid outfit because she was pretty, even though she has the body of a 7 or 8 year old, was even more unnecessary. "Ooh look at this child in a strange outfit, so pretty! Oooohhh." No. A few people? Sure. The whole street? Even more no. Just because she's 20 doesn't mean her mentality is of a 20 year old human. She's still a child in her race.

I mean, even the interaction with one of the two great nobles in the free market city was bland. Because Aisha had never before seen jewelry you're going to send guards to a visitor's home? Does this make sense? She has enough influence to commission accessories with the highest quality materials, but insists on jewelry with unknown looks and materials. What???

The morality included in the dialogue with each incident was unnecessary as well. All of it, unnecessary. A dragon, meant to maintain the world order, comes to get rid of an anomaly that appeared, said anomaly has a bunch of this world's beings around it, what does it do? Obviously attempt to eliminate the anomaly at the expense of a group of humans, all in order to maintain world order and the balance of power. Why is it's sole purpose being questioned by a 20 year old half-elf that is also considered an anomaly due to her contract with Nacht? It didn't even understand, or comprehend, Aisha's point, so it can't be held accountable for actions seen from a human perspective. The morals in this novel, when they do show up, fail to showcase a solid set of values and instead end up making the MCs look naive and clueless.

The overall concept is good, really good. It seems like it's gonnna have a good balance of light heartedness and dark moments. If it has something to its name, its definately potential and ability to give the readers a soothing BANG.
