This is the story of Ryo, who was reincarnated in the world of swords and magic.

It is a story of the royal road to survive using the magic of water attribute.

What is magic? What is swordsmanship?

How does it relate to the laws of physics that we know?

Or what is politics? What is a nation?

Why are there many 『kingdoms』 in reincarnation stories? Will republics not work?

Can it be written …?

Since it is a water-based magician, so it shall start with 『Hydrogen bond』!

This is pretty good, at first the world is pretty small, but it slowly expands with new characters and places.

Its a little boring at first but bear with it, it's pretty good.

Spoiler

Around chapter 25-31 Is the first human contact hes had.

The first few chapter was rather boring, but the rest is really good. Excellent world building, history, and power system. It's a fun read and no heavy plot so far. The side characters are written quite well, they often appears here and there. The MC is a silly boy with a lot of tsukkomi. Although he's OP, he didn't do unreasonable things like destroying enemy cities to show power and gains awe from mobs. He also has equal opponents so his strength isn't really a cheat.

Entertaining, but the MC really doesn't care about anything or anybody. I don't get it, hundreds of victims, mainly because he dint act in time, and he just spits some bad jokes and goes to eat pizza.

I love it not because of the quality I like MC that train with some logic interesting world power scale consistent first arc is about survival it okay but too long about 60chapter I get hooked after enter the city interaction and chemistry is good there's alot going make me feel like continuing but don't recommend for those who come for great drama summary: Fantasy slice of life with fighting flare

I give 3 star because is kind what I expected in my low expectations, and while it has many flaws it burned a few hours with a easy read and some combat scenes.

Is a rather generic japanese isekai story with where the MC quick become OP, most characters are bland, while interactions are forced like they are sock puppets, with no real enemies or goals the MC is literally drifting in life, meanwhile the romance make little sense and we can only guess developed always in the background of... more>> the many time jumps.

Nightbringer review is spot on in regarding the romance and why isn't "slow pace". However still better than some isekai romance harem I read before.

Meanwhile the "hydrogen bond" aka cientific approach to magic is quick forgotten in favor of the blandest isekai tropes that aren't even implemented rigt and instead are made fun of in a 4th wall break comedy attempt, that sadly cant fill it with anything better than the trope it wink at the reader how they will teas cliche development and then drop it.

The worst offender however is probably the MC personality, at girst glance he is a generic japanese MC. However, the authir must have heard that JP MCs are too coward and tried to change that in the worst way possible.

His base personality is to treat everything as if was a game, so much in fact that in the few instances he did get angry was so poorly conveyed that I still sided with the atteckers. That in part show with how terrible is the depiction of the relationship on the story. There also time he acts childish and without common sense that the only co clusion I could come is that he is insane. Worse yet the japanese highschooler tropes seen to never left him and pop kind randomly.

Not that you will see him muh of him as the One Punch Man problem when the MC is too OP hide him in the background until the last second and repeat that ad infinitum. As time skip and gloss over what the MC have been doing will be the norm.

The best part was rhe magic system exploration that was given only in the smallest crumbs by the author.

Let not talk about the many info dumps, while the worldbuilding of a fantasy world where many reincarnated people showed up is a interesting idea implemented poorly. As the only real change seen to be the some anachronistic invention and foods, that ironic make part of the appel to travel to another world ppintless when you are going to eat the same food and see similar things but now done with magic, ofc all things that will impact the fantasy medieval vibes. <<less

This is an atypical isekai novel. The author tries to have the world building be logical and close to reality (eg water is h2o, leather has to be tanned before it can be used, etc) but at the same time the world has a far from logical general world building. For instance the world has very aggressive animals and animals are far larger and stronger than on earth, magic has probably something to do with this. And at the same time the human population has only 20% that can use... more>> magic. In a world with this setting an animal that cannot use magic would not be able to survive, the law of the jungle will make sure of that. In other words it is not logical at all that only 20% know how to use magic.

A bit of a strange novel from a writing quality and world building perspective. If logic and a world building close to reality is so important than why is evolution ignored? Because of these very basic mistakes it feels very much like the author tried a shot on goal and missed. <<less

I will keep it short.

It starts out interesting, as the reader you become curious about the world and the magic system. Pretty good so far.

The MC goes into detail about is thoughts and other scenes are pretty detailed as well in the beginning. Later on this goes out the window and you're practically screaming at your screen for the author to explain how something or why something works.

I gave it the benefit of the doubt because of the slow life and the MC "perpetual youth"

This story is no slow life, riddled with unfulfilling fights and illogical actions. Where half the chapters the MC is not even in. <<less

It is ok, the story development is familiar yet at the same time unfamiliar, OP MC but still not yet the strongest character as of Volume 1.

Usual cliches but with a slight twist, side characters are actually carrying their own weight though of course we need that OP MC moment where he steam rolls everything.

The romance was ok but could definitely do without as there is actually no foundation or development shown to validate their relationship, they may have time skips to fill the gap on how long they spent... more>> together but it is mostly offscreen stuffs so I don't fully feel their relationship.

Really has good world building IMO BUT due to that there are many info dumps & many other POV chapters which lasts more than 1 chapter which is kinda annoying, MC is barely having screen time. There are only a few good MC fights, a lot of times MC's power is limited/nullified/jammed/restrained which is annoying as the only time he is able to go all out is in the final battle in the final arc of volume 1. If not restrained MC uses a sword or finish enemies in 1 shot.

Though what I like in this novel is really the banter of MC with other characters especially with Abel. And the few times MC is able to show his OPness which if very few times but the lack of reactions from side characters is kinda a downer. <<less

Overall the story is relatively fun powertrip fantasy, a number of cute character relations are enjoyable to read. But the politics/military parts are at best janky at worse just plain bad and unfortunately make up a solid portion of the story and drag down the experience. Combined with complete and utter stagnation as far as character developement goes after the beginning of the story I can't really recommend reading unless desperate for something new.

Super strong beginning. I really liked the exclusion of the typical "level up" system that plagues this genre, gave the magic some credibility. Then came "skills" and "combat arts"........*sigh*. MC has a good arc for about 60 chapters, then all character development completely stops, then full on reverses. The MC becomes more and more foolish as the story progresses, which is extremely frustrating. The MC is flawed beyond repair from a storytelling perspective ... more>>

MC is actually in his 40s, looks 19, people think he's about 17, and he acts like a 12 year old kid

. Frustrating, no meaningful progress after the first arc. Read the first arc, then stop reading and just imagine how the story should progress, it will be 5X better that the actual story, because the actual story often DOESNT INCLUDE THE MAIN CHARACTER!!! He's literally missing from EVERY major event, without exception, occasionally showing up at the last second to save everyone- the WORST trope of all time! <<less
