This is your typical abusive and gloomy gong gets better because of the happy-go-lucky shou story. What's different is that the shou is not your perfect white lotus, jade-skinned, phoenix eyed beauty with genius intellect and heart-pounding charm. He's disgusting and has no class. He makes lots of mistakes and everything doesn't go as well as he planned it. And I think that makes it refreshing to read.

And this novel stinks by the way. The imagery provided by the author can make you smell their disgusting sh*t that happens haha.... more>> From saliva mixed vomit to unwashed blankets to crusted s*men, the author doesn't hesitate in describing the dirty side of things. Not just literally but figuratively. Which is different from your usual quick wear novels.

Have a try if you're tired of immortal jade beauties cleanly dicking each other in a palace up above the mountains or in their penthouses and spurting their pearly white milk from their dragon pillars. <<less

This one is amazing. The MC's goal is to take away the evil points from the target. Needless to say, his goal makes the story quite dark. Usually, the MCs in these quick transmigration stories are schemers but this MC is lovable, positive, optimistic, somewhat innocent and forgiving. He believes he's 18 (and acts as such) but nearly all of his hosts usually have flaws and are quite different from what he thinks of himself as. Some examples: first arc, he's a prostitute with a drug problem who is almost... more>> too old for the profession. Second arc: prison imate boss. Third arc: an ugly teenager from a village. I think these roles make some very interesting read.

He got a system called 444, I think. Usually, I find the system very annoying because of the constant chatter and the OP power the system gives. His system is pretty good. It usually only shows up when he calls and can't really help him much but it seems to care about him. So since the system isn't OP and can bail him out and he doesn't have ethereal beauty to win/deceive other people or spiritual/mental power to hypnotize people, he lands in trouble a lot and can easily fail his mission.

First and third arc made me cry buckets. I think I'm sensitive. <<less

It's a wild read. I still think it's underrated though.

A bit cliche, but I enjoy the MC's silly personality. It's ditzy, but not dumb. Basically, out of the many ban*l BL world-hopping stories, this one's got some spice. The MC isn't treated as perfect or beautiful, which is refreshing. He feels more unique than the low quality and flat porcelain dolls.

EDIT: Yo, you can't censor a perfectly fine word just 'cause it has -an*l in it lmao *insert laughing/crying face*

It's a humorous novel. With all the comedy and all the staff. A good plot even. A not in your face system!! I couldn't ever wish for more.

Main lead actually has a personality. He's cold and powerful and all that but it's not a given. His actions actually show it. So I love that for the author.

My problem, however, is with the MC. HOmeboy is disgusting to a T. No, because, I understand that the author could be trying to be different from the " perfect MC" theme. But in... more>> my opinion the author over did it. MC is crazily disgusting

1. He hates showering. It's like water is a curse that killed his whole family. A 30 year old man that's so bad at hygiene!! How tf do you spend a whole month without showering?! How tf do you have hours long s*x and the best you can do is use some moisturizer to "clean"?! Like- b*tch...

2. HOmeboy literally vomited and didn't even bother brushing. Not even rinsing his mouth!! Like wow. You're breaking records here my guy!! Forget doing it to save others from your bad breath, can't you atleast do it for yourself?

3. Now this one right here was my 13th reason. Sh*tting on the bed. And literally not even bothering to clean it up and just, what, sleeping in it?! This dude is a f*cking wierdo. I believe a character can be "different" from all we've ever seen before, without going to such lengths. Like I do understand we all have had our fair shares of diarrhea, but I'd rather sh*t my pants running to the toilet than sh*t allover the bed and then stay sleeping in the mess. Ewwww 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

Don't get me started on the farting. Author probably put it there to be funny. But it just made everything wierd for me whenever he talked about it. No one doesn't fart. But doing it in private atleast wouldn't be too hard. But then again, this is an MC who takes serious pride in being disgusting. So, yeah, f@ck this novel bruh <<less

Very disappointed to say that I will not be able to find another story that will satisfy me as easily as this one. Everytime I find a good story like this one, it becomes harder and harder to find something I'll really enjoy because my standards have been raised and I can no longer settle for less.

Favourite Points:

  • The comedy. It's dirty, immature, pe*verted, and very 18-yr old hormonal boy comedy, if you get me. Expect a lot of d*ck jokes and puns. Very s*upid. A lot of second-hand embarrassment too, from MC doing s*upid things / or horribly failing at some things.
  • There are a lot of positive opinions on MC and a couple of negative ones, but I personally find that this is one of my favourite MCs. He's unlucky, brash, has a motor-mouth, a little slow but he's dedicated and committed to his mission, while also soft and weak in the places where you'd expect him to be. I think his shortcomings are presently exactly as what you'd expect after a naive 18 year old boy who has barely experienced the world suddenly gets thrusted into life-threatening missions. He lived a regular life where he was never required to be a schemer, so scheming has never been his forte. He knows how to cook well because he used to cook for his father. He never liked sports or being athletic in his original world. The only reason he knew how to lie was because he had practiced some acting, but even then, his lies were never completely fullproof and were uncovered from time to time. Still, he tries his best anyways because he is desperate to go home. Honestly, I feel like this is one of those rare stories where you can actually see how desperate the MC is to go home, rather than just being some few-lines descriptor. Another point that I like is that while he was handsome in his original world, he wasn't a world-bending, heavenly, divine, national-level temptation. Lord knows how tired I am of descriptions of the typical beauty shous, so having an average protagonist (ugly in one world) really feels like a fresh of breath air.
  • The other characters, aside from the MC and ML actually feel like people. They think, and have thoughts, and have feelings and aren't just spectators that gawk at MC and ML, or cannon fodders that serve to complete dogblood plots. Especially in the fourth arc, where one of the side characters really left an impression on me.
  • This is more of a personal preference, but I like that in every world, MC gets ML's attention through his own efforts, rather than the “lovers with history” trope (though I have nothing against them.) In my opinion, I think this kind of thing gives ML's obsession with MC more depth. The pacing of each arc can feel a bit slow but it's better than suddenly falling in love on day one. You can probably consider each arc slow burn if I'm honest.
  • MC's banter with System is very fresh; if I were to put it in an analogy, they're like a pair of comical childhood friends where one is spoiled, whiny, and slow and the other is blunt, sarcastic, exasperated but secretly caring. System isn't totally OP though, but it tries to help out where it can, though sometimes it does like to act stingy (purposefully). They're very cute.
TLDR; read if you like an average, (endearingly) dumb, underpowered and unlucky MC,... more>> yanderes, slow burn, d*ck jokes, immature jokes, don't mind graphic details of various.. Things (fluids etc.). <<less

Im love with this novel! Its one of those novels which I don't want to end at all. The story is very interesting and fun to read. The execution of the arcs is also nicely done. There are no abrupt happenings in the plot of arcs. What I mainly oike ablout his novel is that the arcs dont become repititive unlike some fast wear. The stories of individual arcs is also very nice, although it mainly focuses on the love story of MC and ML. The MC doesn't instantly come... more>> to love the ML in first arc as he knows that he can't have attachment to them as he needs to go to his real world. But its not like he completely doesnt feel anything for them, he tries his best to let them be happy and cares for them. He also feels guilty when he leaves them alone. So MC is so not a slag. The interaction btw MC and the system are also fun to read, plus there is no uuselessly long monologue in it. I also love the character of MC, how he is so positive and cheerful like the sun. The ML is also very nice and really possessive of MC. Lastly - that plot twist !! I totally didn't see that coming, it changed the entire flow of the novel. (Though I'm not complaining, I like the plot twist.) All in all it is one of my favourite novels and definitely recommend it to those who like fast wear but are fed up of the monotonous plotline and repetitive arcs. If you can't find any good ones give this one a try, its worth it. <<less

I FREAKING LOVE THIS ONE SO MUCH!!!

The plots are immaculate

the MC is so awesome I wanna have a movie night date with him

the angst (or whatever abusive plot devices it is) gives me serotonin.

the steamy scenes are like a cherry on top

ALSO another reason why I love it is, because it reminds me of the novel Do Not Kiss the Frog from Wattpad, but it disappeared and now I just get super sad every time I remember that : (

STICK CLEAR OF THIS NOVEL

The first and second arc were fine, as was the fourth, just your standard run of the mill QT with terrible mls.

what was really bad though was the third arc the premise is this, MC is transmigrated into a boy (emphasis on boy) who comes from a race that has two penises (like snakes) he uses this to bond with his target who's also from the same race (the target is nearing his 30s) on the fifth chapter of this arc the ML r*pes MC,... more>> he does this for the rest of the arc

THE WHOLE ARC, MC is described as a child, you know how many times he's called one in just one chapter? 38 times in a medium length chapter, not just that he's described as 'only coming up to the man's rib cage' 'youth' and 'boy' his childish nature is even emphasized in this arc he repeatedly acts like a kid, and despite being described as around 12/13 is sexualized a major amount of the arc

The ML is even scolded by his grandfather for 'laying hands on this child' and his excuse to this is that because MC is sexually mature he's not a child like?? What?? How pedo can you get?? anyways I skipped this arc after it became too much but apparently the authors a big fan of in*est and pedophilia because the fifth arc starts with MC being a pimp and the ML being a five year old who was abused by said pimp.

there's only one way this can go since MC continuously stays by mls side and I'm not about to read a five year old being victimized, even if its framed as being 'unintentional' and his 'nature' <<less

it's HILARIOUS!!

I think it's a rarity to find such a witty and funny novel where MC cracks some inner monologues with so many jokes that you might end up with abs ripped. Not to mention some setting are ridiculous, some plots make you think - like no way, this is crazy. But in the end it manages to be put into a whole, organic and funny read.

And MC of this story is a star of it, just for him it's worth reading everything. He's not OP, he doesn't go around... more>> slapping everyone, from his inner monologues you realize that he's quite a sweet child, understanding, lovable. And funny to infinity and beyond. He doesn't try to, but what he says will make you roll on the floor :'D <<less

I seriously have so much appreciation for this story.

This is like the older, seen-the-world version of QT BL novel. It's not all about the sparkling lights and achieving dreams, in this story we follow MC as he becomes some of the most hidden members of society.

In the first arc, he's a drug-addicted prostitute who is unpopular, old, and in poverty. We see his struggles of becoming sober (all the vomiting, desperation, ugliness), the rough s*x (not smutty), snipping off fingers, and we see MC's contrast against some of the most... more>> sparkling members of society. At the end of the day, the cinnabar mole (first love) is still the white moonlight in ML's heart. MC's relationship with ML is a more mature type of love, their partner may not be the type of person they thought he would be yet it's the exact type of person they feel comfortable with and feel satisfied being around.

In the second arc, he's a prison boss. Author spares no detail describing the situation of the quilts that grow moldy, the hierarchy where "flowers" bloom voluntarily or not, and the ML's depravity. At one point a knife is used to carve his name... Even outside, he worked as a construction worker with a slumped back and sand forever in the nostrils. Later on with ML life improves, but the focus is never on the wealth or luxuries.

I won't really talk about the third arc because frankly speaking I don't really like it and I don't think it's a good match for this story. However, it's explained later why the situation is different, so I don't blame it. The third arc is probably the closest to the ones we see in most QT BLs.

To the person who called MC feeble: Buddy, the story is about showing the grittiness. Things don't come easily! Reading that comment I nearly thought MC was a weak white lotus: NOT THE CASE. MC is thrown in terrible circumstances every time; who wouldn't want to complain??? And truthfully he doesn't. His life is just one big miserable pit, but he takes it in stride and moves forward. He's not perfect, he's not a genius, he's not powerful, he's hardly ever beautiful either. He does the best he can and has to hope that's enough. Life IS a struggle, and reality is hardly a fantasy. He optimistically looks forward, he can be ditzy but it's very frank humour.

Given all the things I've said though, I also want to highlight that this isn't really a story about angst. It might be mature, but I wouldn't consider it heavy. It's just more realistic about the struggles that people may face. <<less

If you've ever wonder what it would feel like to read a book covered in a thick layer of grime, grease, and enough satire to leave your mouth dry, this is it. This is the novel for you. It's so f*cking grossly written that I just.... what. I'm still left baffled by the first arc that I just read through. What the hell did I read????

MC is our transmigrator, he's shameless, optimistic, and realistic. The ML (for the first arc at least) is..... very boring in my opinion? Like I... more>> felt no attachment to him at all, and I partially read through the whole first arc to see if I'd get any attachment. Nope, nada. The system acts like it doesn't care about the MC but is actually very giving to our MC.

Also the amount of cringe I felt reading this book left me face palming almost 65% of the time through this first arc. I hate cringe moments, so let me just say, if you can't deal with cringe, don't bother reading. This MC is f*cking SHAMELESS.

Overall, it's a good novel.... for those who want the dirty (as in I'm saying this book made me feel like I rolled in mud) version of a transmigration novel. Not my cup of tea at all, but I won't deny that it's definitely something others will enjoy.

Translators get a star for their amazing work. But this story literally made me want to bathe in bleach. <<less

Imagine an extremely graphic danmei story with a dog blood plot and a cruel gong. Now imagine that the standard MC shou has been replaced by a dumbass college student in a randomly selected body.

This novel is hilarious, and it has a lot of elements that I hadn't seen before. It's definitely worth reading, but you should definitely check the (many) terrifying tags first.

Reading so far I can say this novel is quite good. The MC isn't arrogant, all-mighty character.

The language is a little bit off-putting (I really mean "a little bit", I like the novel very much). Maybe it's cuz I'm more comfortable with european style of narration without this censure.

The plot is interesting. I liked the first arc, liked the second one, and I'm waiting for the third as well.

Spoiler

It's so refreshing how the author made the MC firstly a junkie whore, then a prisioner and in the third arc an ugly boy. I'm sick and tired of these perfect, clever and beautiful MCs.

I hope someone will pick up the translation. <<less

This novel is full of nonsense and is so hilarious. While reading this you really need to let your logic go. The author doesn't run away from describing all the dirty things like the smell of loo, how dirty the prison is etc.

It's a typical evil ML who let of his evil thoughts and turned into a new leaf but still evil after meeting the MC kind of story. But the MC is not a white lotus. The MC is a s*upid optimistic person who just knows how to act... more>> well. He is a hilarious person who quiet clearly has let his logic go after all the sh"t he goes through in the diff dimensions. He just wants to live well.

Would highly recommend if you manage to handle the jokes in this one. <<less

Pros :
The MC is so lovable and optimistic?? Other MC usually have either a naive+annoying vibe or the gloomy vibe to them. Also, the bickering between MC and system is so fun.

Each arc is so interesting, I like how MC isn't always the perfect character.
Arc 1 MC is an artist that use drugs
Arc 2 MC is a burly inmate x beautiful inmate ML
Arc 3 MC is a snake beastman that ended up getting eaten (literally and figuratively) by ML
Arc 4 MC is a bed wetter... more>> and ML is a pyschopath
Arc 6 stepson MC x father ML
Arc 7 MC is a 'bird' doctor hehe and ML is the director of the hospital.
Arc 8 MC is a bird that only ML could see. Poor ML was searching everywhere for his wifi while MC is right beside him.

At the end, we get to know the secrets about MC and ML past. We also get some lovey dovey scene. It's such an enjoyable read.

Cons :

Real life MC is different from the MC that we know. Lowkey living for the master MC x butler ML. <<less

Created an account just to make a review for this gem. This novel is not your typical quick transmigration where in the protagonist plays the characters and has a perfectly scheming and charming appearance. This novel is true to the bones and does not shy away from giving a detailed imagery. Very refreshing and fun to read albeit a bit sad sometimes. This one is a package on itself. Kudos to the author and the translators.

First time I'm making a review, and let me say I feel severe second-hand embarrassment from the smallest things, and tend to avoid novels that make me feel this way. But this novel is so hilarious that I ignore the physical pain the MC gives me with the s*upid crap he does. Eventually I just got numb to the pain and laughed along.

But this novel isn't light and fluffy, and it has the right dose of everything, and I have to say the arcs are very unique, and the onion... more>> cutting ninjas are not few. The ML has yandere tendencies but personally he ain't too bad. The MC for sure is one of the better ones out there, he is so painfully shameless and gross but I love him from the bottom of my heart.

I disliked the early chapters of the first arc, and there are certain things I felt were rushed or felt out of place for me but I say give it a try. I for one, did not regret it. <<less

I really liked this one out of endless transmigration novels. For me, I really love chinese BL novels with good plot and comedic touch. And I can say that this did it the best. The MC is so freakin funny that I had to actually put down the phone while reading and calm myself down to not laugh. The MC is really funny but he is definitely not dumb. He is optimistic. Most novels have scheming MCs, I mean I don’t have anything against them but seeing a normal MC... more>> just like an average person feels refreshing. The interactions between the system and MC are quite funny as the system is not dumb enough to be bullied but both have a really friendly relationship.I really like how the ML goes really doting for the MC in each arc even tho he’s really a bit too possessive. The end of each arc hits you right damn in the feels but I keep loving this novel as each arc is way better than the other and each world so far is different from the typical worlds of every quick transmigration novel. <<less

I literally cannot. So I read the first half of this novel I while back, and I remember skimming over it mostly because it wasn't completed. So I was like, it's kinda getting there so I'm gonna read it. Two chapters in. I cannot. I didn't skim it because it wasn't completed—I skimmed it because of the second-hand embarrassment. I get really bad second-hand embarrassment and holy sh*t I have to take three-minute breaks after reading two paragraphs.

Now saying that, this is a great novel so far. I stan. Go... more>> read and suffer with me.

Edit (about 3 arcs in now?) : I keep taking regular breaks with the arcs, waiting until they are finished so I can enjoy the arc in full. I think the first and third arcs are my favorite as of right now. I routinely have to mentally prepare myself for the MC's antics. Man... he's just an incredible character. To say anything less is an insult to him.

BUT saying that, I think this is also a novel where it can either irritate or refresh your soul because of the interesting premises it delivers. Personally, I think the MC's actions and system/MC dynamics make this novel (ML is a typical crazed dude). So if you get irritated by the MC or system already in the first arc, I rec you all don't read far ahead (as you can see, a lot of the reviews here are divided by the MC's very unique character). I personally love our MC and system, so it is up to preference at that point. <<less

Ultimately I couldn't handle how feeble the MC was. Although I admit the plots were interesting, MC's attitude and idiocy turned me off a lot especially in the 1st and 3rd arc. He pretty much complained a lot about his circumstances and threatened to give up on his missions to the system quite a few times. This was understandable in the 1st arc, but by the 3rd arc I'd expected MC to have some self awareness. He also lacks confidence in achieving his missions which makes me, as a reader,... more>> feel anxious as to whether he's able to complete the worlds or fail. Another reason why I found MC dumb. In the second arc, MC asked system to make him extremely ugly in the next world, not thinking about how this will affect him in the future. I know some people believe this adds to the comedy of the story but I just found it irritating that he still had the gall to complain about it afterwards, like weren't YOU the one who asked for an extremely ugly host???

MC's interaction with the system was sometimes funny but other times dry. ML is your classic yandere obsessed once in love type. Found it a bit refreshing how ML doesn't immediately fall in love with MC but instead slowly accepts MC into his life and falls in love with him. This is basically the only reason why I'm even giving this story a 4*. Overall, it was an interesting read and an interesting concept. I was only able to stick to till the end by enduring MC's idiocy in the beginning of each arcs. <<less
