Kuroki, unbeknownst to him, suddenly came to another world. He was summoned by the demon king, Modes. The territory which the demon king overrules was in the midst of being destroyed because of the hero. He had no choice but to bow before Kuroki.

Not much to comment on other then agreeing with what everyone else is saying..

The dumbest misunderstanding ever. And how the shitty hero sudden cucks everyone around him without having to do anything at all.

Other dudes hated him just for that reason and even though the MC has new profound powers... He still can't do a single sh*t against him or throw away his s*upid dense head.

... more>> Now for the translator...

191 chapters and not including the side chapters...

Really hate it when a translator treat us as if we are s*upid... A certain amount of money per 2 chapters... Ends up becoming $$$ for a chapter that is split into 2-6 parts.. I have no idea who is actually paying for his service but I can tell that they have gotten scammed like for real..

Will be looking thru syosetsu to try and read everything now...

Goodluck to those that are staying with excerpt.

The wait will be long and painful. <<less

Would have given more stars but it didn't change at all... The misunderstandings are still the same till chapter 195 he couldn't talk with his childhood friend. I hoped that it would somehow resolve in halfway at most. However, the author has a fascinating hobby (fetish) in never clearing it so until now, they still think that Kuroki is manipulated and forced to protect Nargol.

Spoiler

Well there was a small hint. That it could clear where Kuna clearly states that she was created to be loved by Kuroki... So it could be cleared and somehow fresh, but that's probably my wishful thinking...

If read it till Roxism than you know about Rena how she did it with Kuroki. Well, they have a child don't remember in which chapter appeared, I was stunned and looked forward to it that it could be something great. But hahaha. The child was playing some role in about 6-10 chapter, and it was close to nothing so... :D

The author also likes to add new gods from earth mythologies. It's not bad, but it's like. There are two sides 1) Demon king and 2) Elios, then you get to know that there is another group, group of Sarxis and Queen of snakes Diadina (Not sure if I have written the name right.) That's okay somehow understand that there have to be someone bad if it isn't the Demon king. But there appears another group of Egyptian mythology out of nowhere, and they are different from Elios. Still, there wasn't any mentioning about it till the time Kuroki went to visit them.

Also, in this novel, you are either ugly like a pig or the most beautiful being in the entire world, and nobody is worthy.

[collapse]

Characters: 1/5 stars. There isn't any progress in characters personalities... I looked forward to how Kuroki comes out of the shell and would overcome his insecurities, small self-esteem and becomes someone worthy of reading. But nothing changed even if some people are writing that he changes... No, he still stays the same and always finds excuses. As I have written before till now, he still couldn't f*cking! Talk with his childhood friends... Though he prays for her happiness but isn't capable of understanding that she is afraid of him.

Plot: 1/5 I'm a little bit split here because I think the plot is fantastic and the author had a great chance to make an impressive novel. The novel is progressing, but it's in style where he comes in someplace do there something, returns and another chapter is the same just in another place. Kuroki goes somewhere the heroes party also goes there, and they are searching for something or researching or helping exterminate the demons got in some trouble and Kuroki saves them and creates another misunderstanding. Maybe 1 or 2 chapters are about something different. It also would have been great if other characters had more action in it, like
Spoiler

Kouki (son of Kuroki and Rena Goddess of victory and wisdom

[collapse]
, Regena, Nao, Reno, Kyoka or Kyo (Kao the servants of Reiji's sister don't remember the name anymore.)

WorldBuilding: 1/5 Author likes to create more and more magical beings but they disappear as fast as they appear. The author add more and more creatures along the way even more gods and you realise that there are other factions besides the Demon Kings, Elios and Sarxis, but I think that they are bad. In meaning that he creates them, but they don't have any purpose like Egyptian gods. They aren't on any side, but are under the attack Sarxis and the Snake Queen but don't do anything besides protecting their "Nest" and let their asses wiped by enemies. In 2 words: It sucks

By the way, it's better to read it through the GT (Google Translator) than through long waiting for Roxism.

Oh, also it doesn't end in 195 chapter the author just gave it another website that's why he isn't writing anything and reedits or just rewrites? all chapter through the beginning. My last words: Not worth reading. In the world, there are better books. <<less

A good story, although the MC is too kind for his own good. It incorporates a lot of mythologies into a new one, and I love the world building. The first volume can be frustrating but the MC's best friend isn't his lover and neither is she the Hero's lover, she only idealizes the concept of hero. A fan girl (and she doesn't realize her love for MC, in fact it is possible that she is much more strict to him due to her feelings and often tell girls bad... more>> thing about him so that he isn't taken away).

The MC isn't a coward and neither is a killer. He is a normal boy with his own problem. He was just summoned and doesn't have any difficulty to adapt due to his battle prowess. In modern society, you don't kill criminal, you arrest them and he has his own values. It's not a Chinese novel with hypocritical MC that kills anyone that disagree with you, including their family, servants, etc. In addition, he is mainly merciful to those with sentience, but will still kill monsters and beasts. He also made his mind to eliminate some of his enemies later. He just doesn't want to kill innocents (humans) because he is on the opposite side, which as long as he has the power to manage it without killing, isn't a bad decision as a human being, although not the easiest solution. His Duty is to protect the Demon King and the land of Nargol. As such, if he can stop any invasion, all is good. He won't attack humans or other species, and neither is he power hungry. (Later, Kuna will create a faction for him, so even if he doesn't act himself, his military power will increase).

The only people he won't kill is the Hero party, because (of "plot", of course) of his childhood friend and value, they are fellow Japanese and were tricked by the Goddess (for him anyway). He doesn't seem to understand how bad they are or how people (human beings) can be misanthropist and racist with other races, as well as selfish and greedy. But even these bad points have reason in the lore or would be developed later. There is also some character development in this story, albeit it is very light.

In the end, a lot of people complain about the MC personality or about some type of NTR but there isn't any of them that happens to the MC. He will also have his Harem and get laid. His personality is a bit too humble and innocent, and he lacks a bit of selfishness and greed, but he isn't totally obvious (except in love) and neither is he an advocate of justice. In truth, despite being a "dark knight", he acts as a gentleman and a knight (not history, but the stereotype). He avoids violence if possible, but doesn't waver. His mentality is different from people in western civilization, but is quite typical in Japan. If you love Japanese light novels, his personality isn't bad. <<less

First of all, the premise, the world, and the characters has so much potential except the author simply can't achieved it to it fullest potential.

the only part I really loath was the "ill accept all your attack and stand there and then get owned only for it to be saved by his dragon." this was only done for the other people to know real identity of black Knight, but the author could have done a better job

Spoiler

the potential I meant was the built up of younger sister god vs older sister god in the raw. Gosh that is a good one. However I did like the fight scene of older brother god vs MC for demon princess

A good novel if ONLY if the author focus the story and centered it around the MC.

Sadly harsh reality for MAJORITY of Japanese novel this is one of those I am bias enough to call disgusting and tr*sh and drop it after reading the last translated chapter.

Why? Everything about this novel except for the MC's part are tr*sh and Disgusting

While some people tend to look down on the MC I beg to disagree as

Spoiler

The MC is just a simple person who got heart broken after his childhood friend got taken away and to make matter worse the so called childhood friend belittle the MC and called him tr*sh what so ever just to please the so called HERO. The MC is actually not a passive character but since he BARELY or RARELY appear in the novel (I mean seriously is the author some kind of an NTR fanatic or what?) reader tend to see him being cowardly or passive because his action are being put into limited words.

[collapse]

Now here comes the disgusting part about this novel we have the HERO and his wh*re party of harem

Spoiler

The sad part about this novel is that it revolve or focus on the Fake hero and his wh*re harem. What's worse the hero tend to NTR any girl in the story and the girls are OK about it and just go kya kya like their is no tomorrow. Most of the time is where the Fake hero do this and that or her wh*re party do this and that. I mean for crying out loud reading it is so disgusting...

You might ask calling them a Wh*re is a bit to much but They are OK the fake hero sleeping with other girls especially stealing other girls with husband, fiancée and so on. They are ok wearing bikini like outfit that the fake hero prepare for them and let them parade out side just to show the fake hero showing off his wife to the world. And last every male around them is transparent they are like dolls who are only obedient to the heroes whim.

Imagine how bothersome to force reading this sl*ts POV they are like innocent wanna be yet ready to spread their hole if the fake hero wanted it.

[collapse]

It's actually a big disappointment in my part as like I said this could be one of the best novel out their if ONLY if the author focus the story to the MC. Sadly it's not possible as the Author might have some screw lose and love to show of this ugly fake hero character. I'm not surprise if the MC suddenly disappear and the fake hero take over. I mean the MC barely appear in the story so WHAT'S THE POINT READING THIS AGAIN!?

will NTR lover would love this lol

P.S.

To the translator please check the external short link it's often broken that's it's so annoying. well not like I am reading this novel again after dropping it <<less

Made an account just to write this review. This novel had a lot of potential, but possibly the dumbest and most frustrating protagonist of all time. He's a pu*sy and despite all his opportunities, he refuses to clear up the misunderstandings about him. Lots of random filler in the beginning for no reason. The protagonist could easily clear things up and help everybody, probably even getting his childhood friend back, but he's just too much of a p**sy. He makes decisions that make absolutely no sense, and claims himself to... more>> be a pacifist in the beginning, only to learn that he's just a b*tch. <<less

Now this one is a good read (I only picked it up for the reunion scene??) but it turned out to be pretty good, and honestly I don't get why people find the MC dense (tho sometimes I just think REMOVE THE F*CKING HELMET) and to the people here for the yandere tag, sorry to disappoint you but I haven't seen one. Maybe I just don't see it but if there is a yandere then it is a mild one, real mild.

A novel in which the author vehemently refusing to advance the plot at all. He just wanted to keep it going with nonsense type misunderstanding drama (misunderstanding because the MC is a block of dense concrete which won't understand anything around him even if people telling him something straight to the point).

It might seemed good when you only read it through slowly released English translation since it means that you're still reading the fresh idea the author had, but if you're able to read the raws you'll find out that... more>> it have nothing else to it for hundreds of chapters. Generally it is good and the MC is strong from the start. The misunderstanding part of MC and the hero party is also quite funny but the story quality kinda drop after author drag it too long.

Spoiler

Even after 100 chapters the hero party and MC childhood friend think that MC still being control by the demon. MC always avoid his childhood friend without having a good talk to understand each other and this drag too long tbh. Another let down is MC is still being scaredy-cat and belittling himself too much after he defeat one of the strongest god.

First thing that I thought when reading the summary is "Hmm... I think this will end up like the other Netori story, like that one that summoned by orc queen to steal Hero's harem", but then I start reading and it was quite "mind blowing" for me.

I've read a lot isekai series that I started to know what will happen next, but this one is just superb! I can't stop grinning and filled with anticipation when reading because the multiple PoV switches and the plot twist that just keep coming.

Spoiler

I thought that the MC will start fighting the Hero to get his crush back, but he did not. I thought that MC will start become anti-hero, but he is not. I thought that the goddess that summoned the Heroes is a bug goddess, but she is not (heck, I even rooting for her now).

[collapse]

I would give it 5/5, but because misunderstanding that feels like being dragged on i'll give 4.5/5. <<less

I've mixed feeling while reading this.. Even sometimes annoying, sometimes dumbfounded. As I call the MC is usual naive japanese protagonist, take a villain role without real "villain personality".. Also a pity one. Then the main hero (or rather MC enemy) is described most handsome human, kinda like has mess personality.. He just has good attitude toward girl and not blink to man. So hypocrite, rather how girl liking him altho his personality like that (even his own sister fall).

Conclusion, almost every character on this series are BLIND. Tbh, im... more>> not find any likable character in this story so far. You see.. Every time im trying to review I would talk about character, and I find character on this story just so broken and unrealistic to some degree.

Story itself are interesting as anti hero we got glimpse unusal good demon king vs sh*t goddess and hero as their puppet, unusual isekai. World building certainly there, but not much detail for now. Hope MC would realize his own naivety later.. And choose to become full good or take evil path. I'll hold 4 star for now.

This is a case where the idea was good and it could have been a great take on an isekai, but fails miserably at every critical juncture. The MC is a complete simp which honestly can work if done well, funny dialog and or gags, or even a decent indepth evaluation of behaviors and character arks, , nope not in this story just keep milking unfunny misunderstandings and never resolve any.

The so called hero and harem are completely unlikable, and not in the sense where they go around doing evil,... more>> and you enjoy waiting for them to get what's coming to them. They've basically written a giga Chad hero who goes out of his way to save women but doesn't really care about them he's possessive and basically hates all other men, so if you have a pretty fiance and you are a good dude he's going to steal her and you're just going to have to be cool with it. And all the women in his harem are just Goin to enable the behavior, and it's cool because at least he didn't force them.

The hero parry constantly intemperate things convenient to them and there are never really any consequences to them for it.

There are a lot of specific things about the characters that I'd like to point out but I'd have to include spoilers and I don't want to do that. Anyway all of the things I pointed out could still result in a good even fun story if done well, but this author finds a way to fail at every turn to do so. The only sort of likeable character in the whole series is the demon king and that is even, meh.

The problem you're going to have is you're going to read it and look forward to the climax of some of these events or the resolution of some of the misunderstandings thinking, oh jeeze I can't wait until that comes to light, or looking forward to see them answer for that, and it will never happen, meanwhile you won't even get a chuckle out of any of the misunderstanding gags because they aren't the least bit clever. <<less

Ok so I dont actually know which chapter im at as im too lazy to look it up, but im on the 10th volume of the raws. So while I get why this series has a low rating at 3.5, I honestly feel like it deserves better. I aint gonna say its a masterpiece, but I seriously enjoyed this one. Though to be fair half of it is cause im a perv, 30% cause im way too much of an isekai fanboy and 20% is because I like mythology.

So this... more>> series is like a combination of ancient mythology meats isekai. The background of the world wouldnt feel out of place in greek mythology and you can tell the author is a big fan of mythology from just how the story is written. I really love how the hero vs MC dynamic works and how even though the hero lost, he isnt irrelevant. In fact I think all the characters are very well done. I love how just because someone is on the same side as the MC or the hero, that doesnt mean they are a good or bad person. Hell the main love intrests are straight up horrible people. Hell it doesnt even bother the MC much that he is banging the goddess who more or less caused all the problems for his side. Also love how the hero who ntrs a lot of character, gets the ultimate ntr on himself since the MC is doing the goddess who he believes is in love with him. Though dont take all this as me saying the MC is a bad guy. Far from it he is one of the nicest guys in the whole story. Just being a h**ny teenager he does have a couple of girls around him to do some fun activities (though not nearly as many as the hero). He is quite naive, but not to the point where he is a ret*rd because of it.

This story is certainly one where you need to forget about your morals and enjoy the show. There is r*pe, there is very weird s*x and shits just crazy (i mean come on the MC is given aphrodisiac at one point and then bam he f*cks 4 or 5 chicks to the point of just destroying them and one even almost dies from it), but if none of that bothers you then enjoy the show cause its a fun ride. Not much to say here except if you are h**ny, if you are into kinda weird shit, if you wanna see a prety boy that ntrs people get the sh*t beat out of him every time by the MC (seriously this series is worth reading just to see the hero get his ass kicked by the mc).

This is the end of my review. Just like to add that I while generic, the MC is awesome and Rena is just something else. How is it the author made me love a chick thats so obviously one of the most vain characters ever is beyond me, but he did it. And its always fun to see her with Kuroki (mc). <<less

From what I've read, this is a lot of back and forth petty bickering between groups over 1 certain thing: Love. Not something like Shakespeare however, it more of "I can't have what I want so I'm going to kill the guy who has it." It gets annoying at the amount of times people are backstabbing each other like it was pinning a tail on a donkey. Furthermore, none of the MC's really take the time to talk when they can and then just blame whatever happens on something supernatural.

It's not fair to put 1 star just because of NTR, and there MC didn't get NTRed. The Hero Goddess got NTRed by MC instead. About the childhood though she is annoying as hell, she didn't fell for the hero, it is because she hang around the hero girl circle she has to deny the MC. (Example a girl took a liking to a boy A, she couldn't say that she like him, instead when asked she has to answer she like boy B the most popular in schoool.... more>> If she said boy A she will get teased a lot by her friend).

I don't really like harem, but I can say for sure the hero and MC have different harem. If you count Chiyuki then the hero got NTRed.

Anyway why are we talking about NTR. This is a messed up story about Hero and Demon Lord. Although it's very disappointing that the Author, choose to rewrite the story in another platform. It will take a while to continue the story. <<less

Pretty good start, an anti-hero story by misunderstanding.

I have no problem with that, as this genre is getting more cliche in recent years.

The problem is that it is dragged on for too long, and the misunderstanding never gets cleared. It appears that the author thinks it is the most fun to see how the MC gets humiliated and misunderstood. Yet the scum-bag Yuusha party gets to even be washed?

If all you do is to screw up the MC with no proper reason, then what's the point of us following it... more>> all the way through? <<less
