When Two Alphas Meet, One’s an Omega

Description

When Jian Songyi was born, gene testing showed there was a 100% chance he would present as a first-rate alpha. Thus, he conscientiously spent over ten years to mature into a second-generation rich kid that could get anything he wanted. He was the boss of the school. He was the most handsome boy in the school. He was also the top student of the school.

Until his sworn enemy, who lived next door when he was a child, transferred into his school. He didn’t just steal his spot as the most handsome boy, he even stole his spot as the top student.

Most importantly, he had even f*cking presented as a first-rate alpha before him.

Towards this, Jian Songyi said, one mountain can’t house two alphas! If he didn’t hurry up and shoo this son of a bit*h Bo Huai away, then he wasn’t an alpha!

Well, Heaven had eyes. The next night, right in front of Bo Huai, he presented as an omega.

Jian Songyi resolved to become an omega with strength of character. Even if he went in heat, even if he forgot to bring his inhibitors, even if he were to die right then where he stood, he would never let Bo Huai mark him!

Bo Huai could only coax him in a low voice. “Let me take a bite. In the final exam, I’ll give you first place in the grade.”

Jian Songyi couldn’t take the seduction of his silky soft breath and gave in.

The day exam grades came out, Jian Songyi looked at the honor roll that said “First Place: Bo Huai” and puffed up in anger. “Bo Huai, you freaking liar! You beat me by a point again!”

Bo Huai smiled lightly. “What’s wrong? I’ll give you first place, me.”

First, I wonder why did ABO setting has always use the scenario of "forget to bring inhibitors", "forget the heat schedule", "forget to restock inhibitors", etc, etc. Why? Like, I think, Estrus in the ABO world could not be treated in the same way as when females are having our monthly period, right? Even though I forget my monthly period, at most I would be super embarrassed or ruin my good dress with the bloodstain. Worse case, I would have sudden acute stomach pain, that I can still easily solve... more>> it by buying a pain med in the nearby pharmacy. There's no harm in forgetting to bring the sanitary pads, or forget my cycle, or forget to bring my meds.

But what about Heats or estrus? If you f*cking forget to bring inhibitors or meds you're definitely going to either be "raped", or "forcefully marked", by who knows which Alpha you're going to meet! Worse of it, the marking in the ABO setting is like... you know, a lifetime mark, that definitely make you dependant on each other, or worse when getting r*ped you're going to be pregnant real fast.

Then, why did those little Omegas still dare to forget their meds or cycle???? I didn't understand.

It's not only embarrassment or pain that you're going to bear if you forget, you're going to lose your whole future in the worst-case scenario.

Why didn't those Omega have even a little bit of self-preservation???

In a setting where there's such a creature, such a race like an Omega who's very vulnerable in their Estrus, I think, those worlds would have a much more vigilant mindset or daily behavior on how to protect oneself, for omega. The s*xual education must have been even more rigorous, and the reminder to take medicine or even predicting the next cycle would have been very advanced like the Weather forecast! Because the Estrus of Omega is not only dangerous for Omegas, but also dangerous for Alpha who's going to be affected.

And I still couldn't believe how many ABO setting always have the scenario of the Omega forget to take inhibitors or forget to restock them, or even blatantly underestimating their Heat cycle for so and so reasons.... Really????

Even though I know ABO setting is already defying logic and reasons, but the way the plots and scenarios were written became more and more ridiculous. Can't I have a properly written ABO setting without a ridiculous scenario?

There are some ABO novels where the Omega heats actually happened naturally, without the drama of sudden estrus and forgetting meds...

This novel is actually quite refreshing. I like the setting of the MC who didn't really get described as girly or as femininized as most Omega characters are. The ML is also the kind that I like, the gentleman yet witty type. This novel is rather similar to Fake Slackers in terms of MC and ML's characters. If it was not using an ABO setting, then I think it would be another refreshing high school romance with perfectly two handsome and cool guys, the kind of setting that I absolutely like.

The plot overall is entertaining. It's not a masterpiece that'd blow your mind away, but it's still quite nice. I would have been generous to give this 5 stars if it were not for the ridiculous ABO heat scenario I mentioned above, sigh... alas. <<less

Super sweet. ML is doting and respectful to the max. So much so it made my heart hurt sometimes. MC is a bit spoiled and strong-willed, but he’s got a soft heart.

I was reluctant to read at first because the description made it sound like enemies to lovers which isn’t really my food of choice. But it’s more childhood sweethearts with a misunderstanding. Basically this story is a big bowl of dog food.

Didnt have any of the sketchy things that plague omegaverse stories (with the dubcon and such). And the... more>> MC is stronger than most alphas, so there wasn’t much anxiety about his safety.

Basically a good fluffy read with no knives. (Except the ML’s dads’ extra...I cried.) <<less

oooaahgghh ahh im so emotional.. WAHHH I loved it it was so cute wahwoahaow

there are some things I want to points out:

    1. NO DUBCON!! in the summary it sounds a bit like the ML forced/tricked MC, but the scene in the summary happens after they establish a relationship, and the aforementioned bite is not a mark. it really is just a 'nom'. also, the ML would never force the MC bc he doesnt want the MC to be hurt or sad.
    2. the cp is more of childhood friends to lovers than enemies to lovers; they grew up together and temporarily separated due to a misunderstanding (ish). they love each other dearly and are very supportive.
    3. the relationship dynamic is proud, spoiled omega MC who likes to act fierce but is bashful and easily embarrassed X indulgent alpha ML who acts like an iceberg but is very pampering and likes teasing the MC. *about the iceberg thing, he isn't a friendless aloof holier-than-thou guy. he gets along with the mc's friends and does, in fact, talk.
    4. not much conflict. the most intense drama doesn't last too long and isnt too bad. there isn't much else after ch44 or so; the rest of the problems are just tiny (really tiny) bumps, strengthening their trust, and improving their communication.
    5. there is a bit of like... abo gender stereotyping I guess? the MC and ML dont participate in it but like when it's revealed that the MC is among the strongest despite being an omega, people act like its totally revolutionary n whatever. I guess it kind of is bc pheromone resistance stuff, but everyone is just like... gobsmacked that an omega can be stronger than an alpha which is a bit of a "not like other girls" parallel LMAO but I didnt find it particularly bothersome. it didnt really feel like sexism in disguise or whatever
    6. the MC is kind of oblivious/slow, but I wouldnt say its annoying or unbelievable. he also doesn't have a sexuality or identity crisis that results in a huge rift or mutual harm. he seriously considers the ml's and his own feelings when they are eventually revealed to him.
spoiler-y chapter milestones:

Spoiler

1st kiss: ch44/45; establish relationship: ch65; go public-ish: ch66/67; go fully public: ch70 end (when the reveal begins, it lasts for like 2 more chapters and then theres a 2-3 chapter aftermath) ; permanent marking: ch87; promise ring/unofficial proposal: ch88; official proposal: ch95

the reason for the gap between their first kiss and their relationship establishment is bc our little paramecium MC wants to confirm the seriousness of his feelings. after the kiss the ML confesses directly to the MC and the MC expresses his romantic interest in the ml. the ML is soft and squishy and happy that the MC genuinely considers the possibility of a relationship, so he agrees to wait. dont worry tho, theres a lot of fluff and cuddling and boyfriendy stuff they do during those chapters. actually, they kind of act like boyfriends even before the kiss, the MC just doesnt know bc hes a little peabrain.

btw chapter 92 (extra chapter #3) made me emo bye

There's still a lot of people who judge you a lot when you tell them you like reading webnovels. Mostly because of the notoriousness of fanfictions. And to be fair there are is a lot of bad quality writing on the internet, but also on the other hand, some gems. Being honest, BL isn't exactly the best genre, but it's certainly my, and a lot of other people's guilty pleasure. I don't expect every novel on here to be amazing, but I normally do expect the stories that get translated... more>> (huge props to everyone who does, because it's an immense undertaking) to be somewhat good.

All of that to say, this story is not. While the writing isn't particularly bad, the actual story is pretty much fanfiction-level-cliché. The whole story is full of stereotypes that are already overdone in BL and ABO-setting novels. I can't say much more on how the story develops because I haven't gotten very far (to c15), but this story is not worth my or anyone else's time.

This review might be a bit extreme or feel over the top, but that's how frustrated I am rn, after finishing c 15.

Spoiler

The reason I immediately dropped this novel is that after MC unexpectedly differentiates into an Omega (see synopsis and ofc alpha ML knows more about omegas than our unlikeable MC, the clueless guy he is), he decides to, guess what, HIDE THE FACT FROM EVERYONE and guess what, his mother (she's a failure of a mother tbh) agrees, ofc. Rather than the romance that I like best, I part I like best out of this novel is the youthfulness.

The romance is nice, at first I did feel like the MC doesn't really "work" with the ML, but after reading through half of the novel the MC also starts seriously considering his relationship with the ML, and the ML also didn't force his own values on the MC, and instead respect each other.
Spoiler

Even when the ML was suffering from the alpha thing (I don't know what it is in English) he refused to "hurt" (you know, f*ck him) the MC until the MC got mad like 3 times at him suffering and not letting him spoil the ML.

[collapse]
There's also tons of dog food and a few side CPs, so you don't have to worry about the fluff not being enough. The smut is also very (´〃`*)b , although it's erased (cause its smut and smut isn't really allowed).

Its a pity a lot of the jokes are only understandable in Chinese, and might have been lost in translation. That might have made the translation a bit less "youthful", no matter how good the translator is at their work.

You can read the youthfulness in the novel, the s*upid things teens do out of Impulse, and remember this happens in China, so early romance is actually treated a bit differently. Its also the typical OP MC and ML, though you can still see they improved along the novel, their grades and how they treat each other and all.

There's not really a lot of "freshness" in this novel, nor is it a novel where everything happening is an amazing plot different from all the other novels. However, it's still a very good novel for you to stuff your faces with dog food. It's also nice to see no omega and alpha s*x discrimination like some other novels. The MC says "I'm amazing because I'm me, and it's not because I'm an Alpha or an omega." And when he found out about actually being omega, he was more confused and shocked rather than being "I don't want to be an omega", and he also accepted the fact quite quickly. The novels also explains why he kept his s*x a secret, so it's nice there's not a lot of ABO hierarchy thing. I would recommend this, but it seems some people gave this novel a quite negative review, so I suppose it depends on your preferences whether you like it or not. Sorry for the bad English and have a nice day.

Very cliche, which isn't a bad thing I suppose. Just very boring. The MC and ML are complete Gary Stus, perfect in everything (good grades, good athletics, handsome, the best in everything they put their minds to, the ML spoils only the MC, etc). The MC is the cliche 'I don't want you but I actually do!' tsundere type we've seen a million times before. The plot is mediocre, if you even want to call it a plot, but I guess this story is not offensive. Just boring.

This novel brings... more>> nothing new to the genre, and I'll probably drop it. <<less

This was such a chore to read, and normally I wouldn't give 1-stae but it really let me down too much.

It had a lot of potential for at least 4.5 stars but it was executed so poorly.

1. I appreciate the effort but the translation seemed like subpar edited MTL, and it does take away a lot from the quality of the novel.

2. I really don't like this couple. The MC, despite his supposed intellect, is an immature, s*upid, angry fool. He has no other personality other than blushing, being shy,... more>> and being angry and embarrassed because he can't deal with his emotions. The ML is your typical cold-to-others-but-super-doting-to-MC gong. He has no other personality other than this oh-so-pitiful lovesick fool who takes advantage of the MC. Their interactions are full of childishness, which you'd think would improve as the story goes, but no. It goes on and on until it became so repetitive and dull. Of course, this is all glossed over as romance or fluff.

3. But the biggest reason why this is so disappointing is that there were plenty of moments where it showed really good quality scenes and character breakthroughs. Only for the characters to regress. I stuck with the story until chapter 80, but they have regressed to be even more 2D when they started. Fell flatter than McDonald's pancakes.

4. Let's not even forget the lowkey sexists ideas from the author. He created a strong Omega character, only to use that character as a tool to highlight how Omegas are supposed be weak, soft, and subservient, and the MC being how he is, will always be considered as an Alpha. And the rest of the Omegas - with their soft physiques, love for cute things, and supposedly adorable foolishness and s*upidity - are just foils to make the MC look better. Despite the superficial attempts to show that Omegas can be strong, the only message here in this aspect is that to be acknowledged strong, you'll have to have Alpha qualities.

But there really were a lot of scenes were good points were made.

But the execution was really, really disappointing.

Reading this was like going on an unsatisfying rollercoaster ride. It tries to take you high and just when you're ready and excited to reach new heights, it nosedives back to earth. It does this again and again and eventually, you begin to wonder why you even got on this ride in the 1st place. <<less

really REALLY good.

i was in the mood for a good ABO high school romance and did this novel deliver!

I loved the aspect of enemies to lovers (though it was one-sided) and even more so loved the emotional growth of the two characters. what a passionate love...

... more>> is this regarded as a cliche? YES, absolutely and there is NOTHING WRONG WITH CLICHES-especially when they're well executed.

I admit that the feeling of hot-blooded youth and HS environment is not felt as violently as in some similar troped novels but it's not absent either. They definitely are such moments but are often overshadowed by the romance plot- which is so cute.

The MC is so entertaining and I loveeee his cute side... it is a slightly slow romance. Still, mainly because the ML is very cautious cuz he was worried about ruining and destroying his relationship with MC and the MC... well IMO the MC was just in shy denial and a bit of a dense dum-dum... he did grow up with all the luck, love and wealth and admiration which actually is one of the tropes I really like... wealthy, popular AND smart af. I love how once their relationship is public the MC loves to throw around dogfood XD.

so yes, there is nothing new about this novel tropes but they've been put together very well and are undoubtedly an entertaining read. <<less

I've been revisiting this novel and remembering why I loved it so much, so I thought I'd finally write up a review. The short, not spoiler-y version is: I think the characters are a lot of fun, they make me laugh, and I love how their relationship develops. Bo Huai (the ML) is absolute boyfriend material, and Jian Songyi (the MC) is adorable while still having the capability to stand strong on his own. The pining is SO real, and it's also really really sweet. If you like pining, banter,... more>> and humor, this is definitely for you!

Bo Huai and Jian Songyi are kids who grew up across the street from each other, and their families have been good friends for several generations. At the end of middle school, Bo Huai moves away and they lose contact. However, if you think this is a pure enemies to lovers story, you haven't read far enough (it's clear by like chapter 20ish at latest). As the story progresses, the author builds up pieces of their past in a way that makes it obvious

Spoiler

they've always been incredibly close, and both of them cared deeply for each other as children, despite Jian Songyi's claims otherwise. She does an incredible of showing and not telling their relationship when they were younger, and I teared up a bit at all the little moments that showed how close they were.

Specific moments:

Spoiler
    • Jian Songyi texts Bo Huai generic new year's greetings that he sends to everyone on his friends list, hoping that he'll get a response specifically from Bo Huai.
    • When Jian Songyi is trying to figure out how to ask Bo Huai a question, he keeps typing and retyping, and flashes back to three years ago (when Bo Huai left). He thinks about how there was still a level left in the 2-player game
    • Jian Songyi wrote a whole-ass essay about Bo Huai after he left and his friend thought it was about a martyr lmao
    • Bo Huai had a fight with a guy at his school because it was over something Jian Songyi gave to him. (Everyone thinks that the guy is why he left the city.)
    • Jian Songyi is always saying that he hates Bo Huai but literally everything he does is super caring and sweet lol
      [collapse]
[collapse]

About Jian Songyi (the MC) (spoiler-free, just long) :

Spoiler

A cute dummy. He's c*cky, but has the skills to back it up; he's always been good at both academics and athletics, and he's well-liked by all of his classmates. Even though he acts like a tyrant, he's always protecting people, both in the sense of beating up bullies and also taking actions to include everyone (race arc says hello!) and just be a nice person. He's an oblivious MC in the sense that he's not experienced with love and doesn't pick up Bo Huai's hints at first, but he's also 17 and has never had a crush, so I don't think it's entirely fair to say he's s*upid about his feelings. Honestly, I think he reflects over his own feelings pretty quickly and doesn't beat around the bush. He's really earnest, and I think he's incredibly sweet.

[collapse]

About Bo Huai (the ML) (spoiler-free, just long) :

Spoiler

Like I said, he's complete boyfriend material! He's kind of closed-off to people (friendly enough, but not social by any means), but he's completely whipped for Jian Songyi. He's incredibly doting and will do a lot of really ridiculous things (like specially seeking out a discontinued candy because Jian Songyi used to like them, or getting three strawberry milks from his classmates because Jian Songyi wanted to drink strawberry milk) for Jian Songyi. Although his expression is cold, he's easy to banter with and he's actually willing to play around especially if it's for Jian Songyi.

I will say that I think he's a little bit dumb for ghosting Jian Songyi for three whole years, but he was 14 so I get that kids make s*upid decisions lmao. It's one of those

Spoiler

I couldn't contact you because I was afraid it would make me waver

[collapse]

situations, which I personally can't relate to.

[collapse]

As an aside, Bo Huai's surname in Chinese can be read as "bo" or "bai", but the author specifically noted in the summary that it's pronounced "bo" and she also references a poem (Mooring in Qin Huai, "bo qin huai") with a homophone of his name in the novel itself, so Bai Huai is actually just wrong :')

About the side characters (spoiler-free, just long) :

Spoiler

I generally find them pretty well fleshed-out, and I really love that BoSong isn't completely wrapped up in each other and live in their own bubble. All of the side characters have their own identifying characteristics, not just differing names. However, I kind of wish we could have gotten more time with them (especially Jian Songyi, Lu Qifeng, and Zhou Luo's friendship as a trio). Anyways, a quick summary of everyone:

    • Zhou Luo: Jian Songyi's omega friend; they're besties and he jokes around about staying pure for Jian Songyi
    • Lu Qifeng: Jian Songyi's childhood best friend (excluding Bo Huai) ; they're totally bros
    • Yang Yue: class monitor, sits in front of Jian Songyi and is ranked #2 in the grade; he's chubby
    • Xu Jiaxing: on the sports committee, also sits in front of Jian Songyi, and is a total gossip
    • Lin Yuanyuan: Jian Songyi's fan (but in a mom way)
    • Yu Ziguo: late transfer into the class; comes from a poor financial background

I actually cried when they graduated because everyone was going to different schools and I loved them so much as a group.

[collapse]

Someone else mentioned that you can feel the youthfulness in this novel, and I absolutely agree. They're teenagers making dumb decisions that have real impacts on their lives (not just romantically), then they talk through it together, and they grow. Both of them are really mature in a way that a lot of adults aren't, and they know each other like the backs of their hands, so they know how to read each other really well and pick up on hints of how the other person is feeling. It's a really pure love because of how they treat each other so earnestly. (They do have s*x though, it's just not on JJWXC.) It's like that young couple who you kind of know and who you're rooting for to get married ten years down the line because they just fit so well together.

I'm also generally a sucker for bantering and comedy, and this totally hits the spot for me! One iconic comedy moment is

Spoiler

after Bo Huai signs up anonymously for Jian Songyi's fan club (which is already funny) and Lin Yuanyuan texts him after hearing a rumor that they got in a fight, cursing him to not get the soup packet when he eats ramen (his stone-cold responses are hilarious), and then he opens a packet of ramen and there's no soup packet

[collapse]

About their OP-ness (spoiler-free, just long) :

Spoiler

Well, they're both tall, handsome, smart, athletic, and popular. It's not really that extreme though and they're not breaking records across the board. I'm sure there are perfect people like this at literally any school you go to. If you like when one or both of the characters have something detracting from them besides their personality, this is not the novel for you.

The one part I actually didn't like/was OP enough to the point you need to suspend your disbelief

Spoiler

is when they go to military training and the two of them make a bet with the instructor where they can shoot a round of all-bullseyes from a hundred meters away or run a kilometer per person in the class. They make it, because they received training from Wen Zhimian (Bo Huai's dad who was a military doctor, who died when they were SIX). I don't shoot, but the scene moves really fast and according to Google it's really difficult to shoot so accurately. Also, I find it ridiculous that they could go so long without training their shooting skills and still get up and hit all bullseyes without any practice beforehand

[collapse]

Still, they were pretty badass and it's a fun faceslapping scene so it's super enjoyable if you like the protagonists being awesome, and one of my friends puts this scene as one of their favorites in the whole novel

[collapse]

About the realism of Jian Songyi's unexpected heats/inability to deal with them (has spoilers and is also long) :

Spoiler

I can see where people are coming from when they say they find it unrealistic, but I don't agree. Jian Songyi has believed his entire life that he'll be an alpha, and he (canonically) doesn't pay attention to lessons about omega physiology. On the other hand, Bo Huai thought, up to his presentation, that he would be an omega, and probably paid more attention to omega classes. (Personal headcanon that his dad Wen Zhimian would have explained things to him early on as well, since that's the kind of personality he has.) Thus, Bo Huai knows exactly what he's doing not because he's a cool ML who knows everything and can help MC right when they need it; it's because he had a reason to know the information that Jian Songyi needs.

Jian Songyi doesn't even have that much time to adjust to having heats, so I think it's completely realistic for him to forget to bring inhibitors. Most importantly, he has them in his bag, just not on him. (As a person who has been having periods for ten years, I've never carried a pad on me unless I was going to the bathroom to change it. It's always in my bag, so if I left it somewhere I would be in the same situation as Jian Songyi.) The reason he's paranoid about people finding out is because he doesn't want people to know that he's an omega, not because it will put him in danger (there's nothing about regular heats being dangerous or permanent marking via r*pe

(edit: forgot about one plot point, but regular heats aren't dangerous) or anything like that in this world). Besides that, plenty of people in the real world will forget things that they bring with them on an everyday basis, even medication that is critical to their life. Anyways, sure it's played for the plot and drama but I genuinely don't think it was that extreme and it wasn't dangerous either. It wasn't something I even took note of when I was first reading it. However, I wanted to write my thoughts about it since that's coming up in other reviews.

[collapse]

Also, there's a tiny bit of sexism (stuff like girls and omegas being stereotyped into humanities classes) which weirds me out because this is already omegaverse, so if anything I expected more omega discrimination type sexism? But the author casually grouped girls into the same category for no apparent reason lol. Since it wasn't coming up frequently (it was probably less than 10 lines in the entire novel), it didn't bother me that much but I thought I would mention it.

Overall, this novel is probably my favorite BL (still standing strong after a few years lol) because I just love how they grow together and it always makes me laugh. It's a perfect escape for bad days or when I'm in the mood for fluff. They're just two boys who fall in love, and they're incredibly sweet. <<less

It's sweet but I'm not sure that I like it.. It feels like the MC is trying his hardest to keep his spirits up and even though the ML is doting on him- he's not letting him express himself very well. The MC thought he was guaranteed to be a top-notch alpha his whole life and then when he finally presented he was an omega, it almost made me cry how the chapters were written. The grammar is very good but it doesn't feel hooking. I'll read it but I... more>> don't want to pick it back up once I've put it down. <<less

Oh I even cried a bit when it comes to the bittersweet parts. It's so good. And the extras are fulfilling extras. The first two or three extras are really, doesn't make sense but lol as long as it's fun. All other chapters are just too good. Too many dog food to feed you. With a touch of bittersweet, youthful spirit and mature love. ≫///<

I'm crying

why?? Because this is so freaking fracking beautiful. It's so deep and so not one dimensional. I love them so much

tbh I dont read a lot of ABO except if its on quick transmigrations, especially if its BL because I really don't like the feminization of the male omega MC. I don't like reading BL as if I'm just reading a normal BG novel.

but this!! This!! Lmao so basically, they both went to a genetic center when they were young and our MC was diagnosed to be a top... more>> alpha while our ML was an omega. So the MC grew up thinking that he has to be strong, all the alpha qualities, while our ML, he grew up normally and not omega like because of personal issues so but he was revealed to be an alpha early so he still grew up strong.

i love their friends, their family. So even though it was about how our MC has a sort of inferiority complex with the ML so he has a hard time thinking that ML likes him, the story is not all about them.

the story with the ML's dads was the saddest. The extras were bittersweet, and the ML's dad was never whitewashed into being a good dad but still there was an evolution, and it still hurts me. I understand him but at the same time you'll think he's still a bad father

still I love this and im so happy I read it <<less

The first time I read this story, it was 2022... I've never given a review on NU, just commented directly where the translation was.

A year later, I accidentally looked at the translation again, and I re-read it from the beginning.

and MY FEELINGS STILL THE SAME.

... more>> This is one of the best SCHOOL LIfe novels I have ever read.

It's sweet, touching, and warm 🫶

I really don't understand why this story's stars are so low.

Author's narration, The characters of Jian Songyi and Bo Huai are very strong. All the elements of this story are absolutely amazing 😭😭

5/5
As much as I love this story. About their sweet teenage years, learning from misunderstandings, good friends, they grow together for their dreams..

Jian Songyi is cold on the outside and super soft on the inside. And Bo Huai who is cold but gentle for Jiang songyi is really too sweet 😭😭😭

Oh I love the author and this story.
Read it!
THIS IS A REALLY WARM MASTERPIECE. <<less

40% FIGHTING

55% COAXING

5% OTHERS

... more>> it's 's a so-so feeling for me. Most of the time I got annoyed and I still continue, it's a cliché but some part are annoying. The story is like a roller coaster mode. Fight coax fight coax fight coax fight coax fight coax some part are sweet but some are getting annoying maybe because they are still in their 17's

what annoyed me here is MC are strong and prideful and yet he can't handle the ML. He always got under him after coax. He only look so strong when he is around classmate nor at their school after that his personality become a child

I get that ML love is Deep and he is okay at some part but that MC learning of ML scheming, him deceiving and need to get coax got me dropped it at 82 pt.3 so yeah I discontinue reading after that. Coz its getting annoying and boring for me <<less

Everything was nice and good except for the time when ML was suspecting MC was about to go into heat, knew there was an important exam the next day and STILL DIDN'T TELL HIM. He knew MC can't tell himself since he's recently differentiated. Both ended up handing in half assed tests because MC went into heat. Edit: Why is MC like that, stop the cringe hggghchgfgccrdrdrdhchtffhgfjs.

I love this novel so much!! It's amazing to read ABO novel with a respectful alpha and powerful omega. I love how MC never gave up even after his whole life turned upside down.

ML is a very good character, he's a bit cold on the outside but he treats MC so tenderly and with care, respecting his boundaries!

I hope their relationship stays healthy and that they find happiness in later chapters, Bo Huai has such a sad backstory, , , ,

I like the main couple, even though the MC is immature and a huge tsundere he really does love the ML and want to love and protect him.

I love that their relationship is of equals and they both have the upper hand at some point.

Both sets of parents are horrible at parenting, especially the MLs alpha father. Like WTF is the matter with you. Both of their parents accept their relationship though.

About 4.5 star but I put in five cuz why not?

All good except for the part when author said MC dont play with his little jimmy.

Realistically we all know men aces that part of puberty. We all know they have unsolicited boner in the morning. We all know they wont go and take a cold shower. We all know they will play with it up and down, repeatedly in a day and constantly everyday.

I cringe everytime I read MCs or mls dont play with their boners. Especially in their teens,... more>> this teens are virg*ns, they still dont know that there's even better way to release that pleasure. They are all curious so can we all agree that it was not such a bad thing when they play with their thing/s? Personally, I think its hot. I dont know there's something about men with their arms playing with their boner. It is hot.

And since im complaining, let me add:

Spoiler

If we reverse that part when MC run away from ML after they play with their hands, that would be not very good at all. That such a jerk move dude.

I would like ML to get his revenge. Although he got to realize his feelings.. God, I want MC to suffer a little bit.

Also about ML that part in the piano when they were locked up. He knew it. ML knew MC doesn't like to be marked but he keep insisting. He knew his reaction when he tricked him from biting him. MC pushes ML the first time ML tried to bite him. Its not a big deal and MC is just scared for something he never thoughts he would accept/knew it just annoys me that ML keeps insisting it. Granted MC was in heat that time just fcking dont force it! Yeah it was ml's instincts to mark but it really annoys me.

It took 3x of "no" from MC for ML to stop. My ghad, MC firmly said no until the end but ML just keep on insisting. It irkswas me the most

[collapse]

I wish the ending was on the part of where they are in beichuan and the put extra chaps. Cuz after that it was cringey <<less
