Jiang Xiaoman was bound to a system when she was three years old. The system told her that she was the lost daughter of a wealthy family assigned to play the cannon fodder in this script. The fake daughter that her parents adopted was the heroine of the story.

Jiang Xiaoman blinked her eyes and asked, “What is a cannon fodder?”

System: “You all live in a book, and everyone is assigned their role. From now on, you should keep on blackening and be a bad child. Do you see that little boy? He has a bigger role than you, in the future, he will become the big bad villain. Why don’t you bully him now, and show him up real good!”

The naïve Jiang Xiaoman picked a handful of colorful flowers and stuffed them into his hands. “I’m showing you something really good!”

System: “…”

Darling, you got it all wrong! Not showing him something good that way!

The little boy: “I don’t need friends, I don’t need company. I’m just a burden that no one wants. It’s my destiny to be abandoned.”

Jiang Xiaoman: “That’s wrong. Everyone’s existences have meaning. System said you are especially important, even more important than me. You’ll be a really really useful person in the future!”

System: “…??”

Did it say that??

Later on, the system stopped giving Jiang Xiaoman any tasks. Jiang Xiaoman was very sorrowful and said, “Mr. System, why won’t you play with me anymore?”

System: “… just try to grow up first and learn to understand every word! You’re killing me!!”

Jiang Xiaoman worked hard to blacken (not really) under the system’s supervision until she was reunited with her wealthy parents. She scratched her little head and asked, “Mr. System, what about the task? Didn’t you say that we should fight over the family’s wealth?”

System: “What kind of wealth do you still want to fight over? You already have more money than your wealthy parents!”

If you want to look for dog blood novel with many face slapping moments then you're at the wrong place because like other reviewers said, this novel was actually more of slice of life type and very slow pace at that.

Spoiler

It took almost 300 chapters of translation version just to tell about MC's growth from her childhood until high school. Since, this novel only had 368 chapters, you could tell how slow the pace was. Thankfully, the interaction between MC and the system was quite entertaining so I didn't feel bored much.

[collapse]

Even after MC met with the heroine, there's barely any face slapping before the heroine was defetead just like that. As for romance, don't expect much either because MC and ML finally only became a couple near the end of the story so there wasn't much of lovey dovey moment between them before the story ended.

Spoiler

I'm actually quite disappointed with the romance part of this story because it felt like MC and ML lacked a chemistry between them even though they grew up together. I could see ML's change of feeling throughout the story but I couldn't see it in MC. She even often still treated ML like a child whom she loved to tease but that was it. It's more accurate to say that MC treated ML more like a little brother rather than as a man.

[collapse]

The ending was quite okay but it could be better. <<less

The adults are very much open minded. C. Can learn more of their culture. D. I love how xiaomian misunderstood every bad thing the system tried to teach her. E. The kids are very smart, quick thinkers and have their principles (they do have a point why asian parents smack them when they are... more>> opinionated lols!! Truly relate!! E. My own fault to try to read this without reading description and title attentively. Whole thing is about the child. I scrolled to later chapters she is still in school. Some would probably find it cute but for me it is just selling child cuteness gets boring after a few chapters

This novel feels very unpolished and has quite a lot of plot holes.

The characters in this novel doesn't have a distinct personality that is going to make me remember them. And due to the novel being unrefined, it makes the characters quite forgettable and one dimensional.

The MC acts quite innocently, but she's a three year old, and I can see ways to improve her character. For example, the author can make her intelligent in ways of arithmetic, or general school work, and make her naive when it comes to society.... more>> That will make her three yo persona way more believable than how the author did it. The author did it by making her very understanding and intelligent at times, and spoiled and dumb at others, which make her have a very uncertain and unrealistic personality.

And the plot holes, I'm only 16 chapters in (bear in mind the chapters are very short), and I'm already noticing plot holes. For information click the spoiler tag below.

Spoiler

For example, when the uncle got his a*s beat and send to the emergency hospital. Even when he got released and got better, his family should immediately ask about how he got into that state. Yet they didn't, he only talked about it after a few days. I refuse to believe that the grandma didn't ask about it when her son got better.

[collapse]

This novel has potential if the author planned and flush out the characters a bit more, but from how it is now, it is just an unrefined gem. <<less

I am currently reasing this book.

The MC is very funny and ch9ld like, the author made a great relatable character as a 3 years old and not the usual genius 2 years old baby hacker.

It is light hearted and funny but the plot is slow

Incredibly so

The main character Xiaoman has a pretty interesting personality, but it's not enough to carry this story to the end.

This story has the System spending most of the story telling Xiaoman she needs to properly become a villainess so she can return to her real family, ????? and profit. (Actually, having read the whole story, I have no idea what exactly the System wanted Xiaoman to do, so I'm not sure 'profit' was ever in the cards.) Xiaoman didn't want to do that, which is fine. I thought from the... more>> description then that Xiaoman would help her adoptive uncle become a major businessman and ignore her real family. But, she doesn't do that either. Her uncle just moves up in the world on his own in the background, and the only effect this has on Xiaoman is that her family moves to nicer areas over time.

This story is 95% fluff. Xiaoman doesn't do any conflict resolution herself, all the conflict just resolves itself in a very rushed short arc toward the end of the story.

Spoiler

TBH, I don't expect much out of Chinese switched-at-birth plots, but this story's background was written exceptionally lazily. Usually in switched-at-birth stories where the family heavily favors one child over the other, there's a reason for it that the underdog needs to figure out how to overcome. In a villainess-turns-the-tables story, usually the MC needs to use her knowledge of the original timeline to avert personal disaster.

But in this case, neither of those conditions are met. MC skips all the conflict because she 1) doesn't care about her original family and 2) slips her scumbag dad some truth serum and makes him confess his crimes in front of the rest of the family. Which might be a comedic setup, except...

In this story, o!FL has a system as well, but that system isn't introduced until nearly the end of the story, and it exists solely to... let o!FL cheat on tests, and give her grandpa a mysterious terminal illness for no reason? And after Xiaoman uses her System to neutralize it for a few days, it just... decides o!FL is bugged and abandons the universe forever? The end? What?

o!FL goes down without a fight, and the chapters that feature her POV just feature her whining, so they can be skipped completely and you will miss nothing important.

And, almost none of the stuff in the original story that Xiaoman's System wants her to follow is explained properly. Like her childhood friend, the ML, was supposed to be a major villain in the original story, but he shows no villainous tendencies whatsoever throughout the story and nothing happens to him that needs FL's or the System's intervention. The System only tells Xiaoman about his (and her own) original fates toward the end of the story after things have totally resolved themselves.

I love it! It is so funny. The MC is just a kid with a system. The system try so hard to blacken the MC but the MC is pure and wise lmao.

The story is so cute and funny. I love how the MC interacts with others, it clearly shows how a child would react. My favorite character is her uncle.

Spoiler

the MC's teacher ask them to make a clay figure, but MC wants to on top and wants others to praise her that why she ask her uncle for help. But her uncle brought a clay figure from their house lmao.

[collapse]

Spoiler

it was also funny when they thought that they can have baby just by sleeping with each other lmao.

[collapse]

The begining of the story is well written but when the MC was getting older everything became fast paced. It would be nice if the chapters were longer. I would want more of her uncle and her tutor 😭. I wish there was more. <<less

It is a decent read. If you want to laugh a lot, try to read this.

The strength of this novel is the humor. It is about the comedic situation caused by Xiaoman.

The weak points are:

the world building/ setting. There is minimal explanation about why.

The main plot. It was anticlimactic.

The romance. It is just afterthought.

Lmao. This one's funny as hell. But there are moments that made me tear up as well!
Spoiler

the original story about Jiang Xing (uncle) and Jiang Xiumei (grandma), Jiang Yue's death, Xiaoman's original fate, teacher Tang not having enough books for the kids T.T

[collapse]

I wouldn't consider this as a romance but I think Yu Qingshi will send me a death glare if he heard me say that lol. The only thing I didn't like much is
Spoiler

Liang Siyu's ending? I think she could've been given a chance to at least live. Though I absolutely hated her when she stole Xiaoman's (and other kids', for that matter) knowledge. Xiaoman worked hard for her to achieve great results and this little a**hole can just steal that?? So I think Siyu did deserve what happened to her at the math competition but did she really have to die? Ugh.

[collapse]
and, overall, I agree with Xiaoman, just change your mom and dad HAHAHAHHAHAHA.

Ughhhh I also wish there's more side storiessss. I wanna know what happened to Xiaoman and Qingshi and

Really cute! Xiaoman's antics are funny and cute.

Keep in mind, the translator had split the chapters, so it's still pretty early in the stories

This is so funny! The ML and MC's childhood friendship is so funny, they remind me a bit of Carl and Ellie. The MC is a wild country girl, playing in mud and getting into mischief while the ML is a stoic, shy boy who is constantly horrified by her. They're only in kindergarten at the moment, but I already love them both!

The FL is supposed to be the second villain in the story, the ML is the big villain but there was a glitch and the system was sent to the FL villain when she was just 3 years old. The system was supposed to cultivate her to become a big baddie but the FL is too innocent and pure, so when the system tries to push the FL to do bad, it often makes the lives of other people better. Also the system is supposed to cultivate the FL to... more>> be a villain but the system itself is such a softie.

Spoiler

What initially caused the trajectory to being a FL villain to change was the system's intention to make the child FL to see how the future will be, including the death of her uncle which was supposed to kickstart her life to be hellish. But the system helped the uncle survived so all went sunny after that. The system's decision also allowed the two big villains of the story to meet and it made their lives better. This novel is really funny. It's MTL-able. The FL lead tries a lot of ways to earn points by making her classmates hate her, like bullying them to do their homework or making them study. Or pushing her uncle to reject a million worth of rewards which made her Uncle become resolute in working hard and becoming rich

This story was heart-warming and also made me laughed... Our Little FL (Jiang Xiaoman) was so lovable, smartass, reasonable and super cute. I love her relationship to other characters such as System, Grandma, Uncle, ML, her friends, etc...

The banters between Villain System and FL were really fun to read LMAO... I like that little FL and ML were reasonably smart but still got the innocence and childish mentality of their age unlike some 2yo genius hacker children of other novels (◔_◔)

I just disliked the rushness of the last few... more>> chapters tho especially the romance and how the author dealt with OG Heroine and biological family. The writing kinda became sloppy after MC became highschool so the "supposed" revelations, fight between systems and face-slappings became anti-climatic. Sad because the premises and ideas were really good but didn't execute well. <<less

Two words to describe this! Cute and adorable! The plot is very light, sometimes there are light jokes that make me chuckle. But, what a pity, the originally light groove suddenly accelerated at a much different speed from much earlier. It was as if the end of the novel was made so hastily. Very unnatural! But overall I can enjoy this novel with ease

It's really a very cute-fluffy romance childhood lover story.

But for the ones who go for after reading description, you must aware none of the text (description) will be included in the story. I have been waiting for the cute story line but nothing like that happen.

Justa warm strory with not much mind burden. Fall for our lovely MC and ML's cuteness.

So, I haven't gotten through the whole novel yet but from where I currently am, honestly you won't regret reading this. I usually tend to like the child protagonist novels, usually the ones that have an adult soul in a Childs body and all but this one isn't the case even if it also has a child protagonist. I like it because it's very different from those with adult souls and you can really see the innocence of childhood in the protagonist and it makes me feel warm, I almost... more>> wonder if the author is currently a child herself (of course I know they aren't) but it's a really special read so far. I'm not gonna lie, it was a bit boring at first and I almost wanted to just drop it and hop onto another book but I pushed through and I'm happy that I did, it gets a lot more funny and interesting when she interacts with uncle and the little villain. Anyway, I'll update again once I finish reading to see if it can really keep my interest the whole way. <<less

Super cute and fluffy. If you want to see two kids being wholesome together this is your book. There is only hints of romance until the extras so it's extremely slowburn but it also makes sense since the MC and ML are three in the beginning and stay kids for most of the novel until ending in highschool. The relationship progression is natural and the side characters are pretty funny too. There isn't really any big scenes of faceslapping and MC vs. Orig MC fights but what is there is... more>> pretty satisfying. All in all it's a cute and lighthearted read and the mtl is easy to follow.

My only issue is:

Spoiler

What the heck happened at the endings of both the extras? Cause ending it with MC using the plot card on ML's mom and giving no follow up just had me wondering what happened. Like did it work? did the plot and reality fall apart around you???? Also the ending of the second extra???!?!? Is the MC's adopted mom possessing a dead child? Is she just gonna reappear in the family? Did she only possess the kid for a minute to talk to her mom? What happened there??????? I keep feeling like I missed a chapter but....
