When the youth found himself transmigrated into the interstellar world of the future, he was a bit dumbfounded. En, as dumbfounded as a primitive person crossing over into modern society. He has now become a primitive person.

Fortunately, this super thick golden thigh, cold, interstellar lord major general with fair skin, handsome looks, and long legs could easily lift you up to the sky and fly.

But what if this golden thigh wants to throw you to his territory planet to muddle along while waiting for death like a dandy, and you even have to carry out the task of going forth to multiply, reproducing like a pig?

“No need… I like men.”

This absolutely pure straight lad has surely dug a pit, and he spent his whole lifetime burying it.

En, this is actually a dog-blood ‘overbearing interstellar marshal (promoted from major general) fell in love with me’ drama.

Also known as, 《The whole universe thinks that it was me, a straight guy who was bent, that bent their esteemed male god》.

The subordinates on the battleship who were forced to be stuffed with dog food every day at work by the Lord Major General watched at the side and sneered:

“You still want to run after flirting with Lord Major General? He he.”

Edit: please note that Fan Translations breaks every chapter into 3-4 chapters.

Honestly it's very good and I highly recommend you stick around for the later chapters. To give a little more info, MC's basically the only earthling left in an interstellar world where humans have left earth but lost both the way back and information/history about earth. (Ex: they smash together medieval, Egyptian, Victorian and Ancient Greece clothing all under the umbrella of historical clothing but can't tell you what culture what is from). Found by the Major General, our... more>> ML takes him under his wing due to a promise he made to someone, but slowly warms up to our MC. Even though it's a comedy, do take note that it's a very drama-heavy and dog blooded story with constant action. While there are hilarious moments and romance, at the heart of it is a dramatic interstellar story with a focus on politics and finding Earth, which can get kinda tiring at times.

Honestly, the characterization of MC is very refreshing. Although he seems the cliche cute but slightly incompetent type at first, his stance on his feelings is refreshingly clear and sidesteps a lot of frustrating points. For example:
Spoiler

When ML confesses to him, MC is honest to himself that while he likes ML as a boss and a friend, MC only treats him well due to being his subordinate and rejects him at first. In another scene, someone tries to give MC the choice of "come with me or I'll kill him" to which MC flat out asks, " come with you? Do you want me to treat you like someone else for the rest of your life or do you want me to treat you like you?"

[collapse]
As for ML, while he's your typical male god (icy Adonis who capture the attention of many, cold to others but warm to MC etc), he works well with MC and gives chase when he's clear on his feelings. They're cute together, and MC is the one who controls the physical aspect of the relationship if that is something that worries you.

Overall, it's a great story that has both hilarity, drama and cute moments that kept me reaching for the next chapter. It might not be a masterpiece of literary achievement (I admit some points dragged or had me rolling my eyes) but I highly recommend you give it a shot at the very least, the MC has some refreshing moments where I highly enjoyed reading and the pair really is quite cute! Not convinced?

Spoiler

The moment that MC caught my attention was when he and ML were running from enemies and there was only one escape pod. While ML was racking his brains trying to figure out a way to save MC (can't fight) and then himself (can fight), MC decisively kicks ML in the bu*t and into the escape pod because ML is more important than him (Major General vs his subordinate). MC spends his perceived last moment laughing and gloating to his parents in heaven that he managed to kick such a good-looking and important guy in the ass. Later on when they meet up again, ML puts MC over his knee and spanks MC for trying to sacrifice himself and for that kick. (。•̀ᴗ-) ✧

From the title, I thought it was your generic over bearing ML x clumsy dense MC's fluffy trot through the galaxy story. It is not. It is a f*cking trap that lures you in with promises of fluff only to stab you in the kokoro.

If you are the type who likes fast romance, this ain't it. On the one hand, the tag love interest falls in love first is definitely true, but the damn MC has yet to accept him! Then you think, oh yeah MC is straight, so realistically... more>> his feelings can't change that fast. But the reason I read BL in the first place is for that fantasy dammit!

Still, this is a story worth MTLing through. The end of one of the second male leads just burns me with fury. There are times that you wish you can shake the author hard, screaming "Why?!" in their face.

Ugh. I'm not half way through and I already need to find something fluffy to charge me kokoro. This is why I hate angst dammit! <<less

For the impatient readers out there, I recommend copy-pasting the Mandarin title of the novel, searching online for it, and then going on the jjwxc site where the 25 first chapters are available for free (and you need to pay to access the rest). I found it pretty easy to machine-translate.

I quite like the story. I've read better, but it's a solid 3, 5/5 for me.

It has 230 chapters in total, for those interested. It might seem long to some, but considering the length of some novels on this site,... more>> 230 is pretty short.

I like the MC, and after all the angsty stuff I've read, the tone in the story feels like a breath of fresh air.

I was excited to hear someone was translating it. Unfortunately, the two translators, NinjaSmashingOnions and the newer translator Grammarnatics have posted their translations on a site that forces you to create an account just to read the story. I quite like my anonymity, and not having too many accounts on various reading sites, so I don't want to create an account. If the translations were cross-posted on another site that anonymous readers can access, that would be lovely. <<less

This novel is beautifully written. I'd describe it as an interstellar romance, with amazing characters. All of them were 3-d portrayed, the villains and there dilemma, the MC, ML, and side characters feels real. One thing I hate in novels is where author force multiple romance down our throat to develop the side characters. I love how this author is capable to bring the side-characters to live without taking the lazy romance route.

As for the romance between the MC and ML

Spoiler

it's obsession on the ML part, it's a slow romance with the ML losing himself to the MC, while the MC takes this time figuring out his feeling. The MC literally break our ML, it's a bit pitiful. Although the MC had his reasons, but it's still sad. The ML is emotional, and extremely soft to the MC, while the MC is carefree and goes with the flow. Although carefree but not naive

This is a gem and has become one of my favorite novels. 5/5 for enjoyment, 4.5 for storyline and plot.

[Keep in mind this story has a lot of drama; some people roll their eyes when something keeps happening in the story (MC powers up, conflict between MC and ML wishes, MC losing contact with ML because smth yada yada separates them). I adore this type of drama, especially when it involves dimensional characters and an action-packed plot; so if you're not one for that, skip it and move on.]

General Gist

... more>> Characters: 10/10

MC is innocent and gentle in a sense--but is by no means naive when it comes to those who treat him badly. He is strong-willed, and stands his ground, and he strengthens himself as the novel progresses. I really like this MC a lot, and I admire how he does not fall into s*upid thinking when it comes to the crucial moments. He often responds to unreasonable requests like, "hehe why tf would I do that?."

ML is... special in a sense that although he represents the typical archetype of a cold, domineering, but doting ML, he is not confined to that archetype and is much more complex than that, giving a very much dimensional feeling. Best way I can put it without being spoiler-ish (?). Anyways, the ML is very very very strong, but not omnipotent. He does not have solutions at hand for every plot twist that comes his way, which makes him very human.

Quick note about ML and MC dynamic: Both ML and MC protect each other through dangerous moments. Their loyalty to each other is never one-sided or less passionate. It is something I ADORED in this novel.

Side characters I must say are great. Some authors fail to make their side characters dimensional and just let them conform to the most stereotypical actions (like brainless cannon fodders). The characters here are so dimensional. Some of them even made me tear up, despite me not even liking them. And if you are worried about the side characters taking away or distracting from the main focus--they don't. They seamlessly blend in with the plot.

I think the way the author did the characters was great, and I don't have too many specific complaints, so 10/10.

Plot: 8/10

The plot is written in a way where you might consider something a plot hole, but in fact it is a point that makes you deliberately question, so it blows your mind later. I did read the MTL (MTL is relatively fine). However one point deducted because there could be better execution of plot twists.

The plot does not fail to keep you on your toes, but the fast-pace (ness) at times doesn't feel too sudden or unreasonable. There are very lovely plot twists and honestly...I just really enjoyed it. It felt like I was truly immersed in the setting given by the author and could vividly depict what was being written.

The only reason I have another 1 point taken off is that my judgement may be skewed by my understanding of the MTL. Though the author did throw a lottttt of sh*t at the MC and ML, it was reasonable considering the interstellar war-torn setting and plot she had set up. But it still felt like everything was happening because the author also loved stirring up drama every three chapters with the MC or ML being in danger. But at the same time... I fall for that shit. Every. Single. Time. Honestly it depends on what you like. Do you like dog blood and MC's constantly in danger? I do. So I ignore some plot deficiencies. Some don't, hence mixed reviews.

Romance: 9/10

The romance is really sweet yet also f*cking dog-blooded in the best sense of possible (for those who crave some good but not unreasonable drama). I actually cried (last time I did that was 150 novels ago man). I remember in the beginning of the novel, the author was like "I just want to do a simple story of two people falling in love~" and well...I was cursing lovingly at them throughout the whole novel.

Anyways~MC and ML have this love you just can't forget (I would describe it as "eternal loyalty and sweetness"). The ML is pampering (very visibly), but the MC is also very pampering (subtly) as well. They have endless tolerance for each other as well. And the power dynamic between them oddly.. works out? ML is a definitely very possessive with the MC, but his actions aren't as bad as other domineering characters out there. [But that's in NOVEL world]. But overall, what traits the ML show, the MC shows also when there is a chance, so I think they're just fine.

The pacing for the romance was done well also. Even when they finally get together, you won't get bored.

Conclusion

Read it. It's like trekking in the desert and finding a pool of water to drink from when you've been only getting sips of water. That's my personal opinion. The only cons I can think of for this novel are 1. Authors love for describing the ML (good lord, make it stop) 2. The extras weren't my favorite. 3. Dramatic but it targeted my favorite tropes so whatever.

This is also the author's first actual novel, so not bad at all.

Edit: Not a spoiler but a remark against weak MC / power dynamic comments that may pop up~

Spoiler

I don't really agree with the reviews who haven't finished the novel yet. To refute, I don't believe or see where the MC is treated as a pet, or is forced to be submissive. When MC stands his ground against ML, his opinion is respected.
You'll also find that if the MC really doesn't like something, not even the ML can stop him. I feel MC rather teeters on the edge of tolerating ML's actions rather than being under control. I also think the power dynamic they have in the very beginning is realistic, where the MC has a subordinate relationship and the ML and MC in a sense are using each other to get what they want. They later stand on equal ground. I must admit, there were a few parts that made me feel iffy very late in the book, but considering ML's character setting, and MC getting the final say anyways, it didn't really deter me from loving the novel.

I remembered reading this a long time ago...

The only thing I remember was the loads of emotional hits somewhere in the middle and the conflict near the end.... That literally made me mad at the MC, he did have his reason but I still felt mad at him, luckily ML was obsessed with him so it turned out okay... The start may be lighthearted but the middle to end hits you hard...

One of the extra was annoying while the other was a-okay...

The relationship of the MC and the ML is very complicated, making it even more difficult when they fell in love but is a poison to each other, nevertheless it was, of course, solved later on. Gave it 4 stars without consideding the translation because I read if pure mtl, I gst what the other review is trying to point out, I hate sitss that forces me to sign up justbso I can read the story. Also, the side story the author did just made me irritated because it also... more>> tested their love for each other. Why not give them a happy side story like other novels ugh

However, this is more realistic in terms of battlefield and their suffering in the interstellar setting.

I highly recommend it to bl lovers, give it a chance <<less

Ugh. I really wanted to like this novel. I persisted in reading it out of sheet stubbornness, but in the end I couldn't stand the massive s*upidity of the plot and various characters. If you like MCs who get kidnapped on even-numbered days, boy is this the novel for you. If you like villains who backstab the MC and ML over and over while they fall for it every time, wow this is also up your alley.

It's unfortunate because the setting is unusually detailed for light novels of this type.... more>> That's because, as the author states, much of it is taken from the series Toward the Terra, a Japanese manga/anime set in the distant future where humans with psychic superpowers known as Mu are killed on sight. In this novel, the Mu are known as Jia (伽, not sure what the translators here went with).

The story has a lot of action and conflict and a compelling, sympathetic MC and ML. Unfortunately, all these good things are overshadowed once you notice that the author's favorite way of ramping up suspense and reader engagement is to have someone kidnap the MC or try to kill the ML, and it happens over and over, frequently by the same villain who did the same thing a couple of days before. (After a while you'd think they'd stop going to that princess' house? It's a disaster pretty much every time?) Also, instead of giving the female villain an interesting personality or character traits, the author spends a lot of time describing her dresses and hair. For me, it made that character extremely boring and annoying, and she kept popping up over and over.

The author engages in obvious retcons, explaining sudden betrayals by whipping up detailed backstories with no foreshadowing at all. The novel's version of a plot twist is to have something extremely s*upid happen, and ten chapters later reveal it was all part of a dastardly scheme. Sometimes it's OK, but the story contains plenty of other s*upid things, which means you don't quite know which things will eventually be explained as plot "twists" and which are just plain s*upid. Characters also don't react emotionally the way you'd expect, like a torture victim who doesn't seem to undergo any negative psychological effects from undergoing intense trauma.

The ML's beauty is described at length across multiple paragraphs in most of the chapters he's in, so get used to skimming through that. Sometimes the author seems to get caught up in the minutiae of describing tiny bits of body language which means it takes forever for characters to speak two lines, and scenes drag on in a boring way. Of course, this is an extremely minor issue compared to the much more grievous ones mentioned earlier.

I noticed another reviewer mention the weak MC. For me that wasn't an issue. The MC has his own interesting things going on independent of the ML, which is good, and his dislike of inflicting violence felt rooted in his character instead of being a stock trope. As for consent, up to the part I read they were only kissing, and I didn't mind the ML being somewhat aggressive when that's all it was. (I don't remember the MC actually refusing him, either, he was just reluctant/embarrassed.)

To sum up, there are good things about this novel. It's worth a try for readers who like interstellar danmei. You may like the MC and ML enough to bear with it. But it may damage your brain a bit in the process. <<less

This novel is brutal. I thought MC would be exempted by author like other interstellar novels but no. Author made MC go through so much violence, it was so uncomfortable to read.

Plotwise, I didn't expect author to really juice out all plot twists s/he could conjure. Author also has this writing style where he/she presents an ultimate scenario and only reveal the scheme behind it when it's about to conclude. It keeps you on edge and crazy.

Overall it was an enjoyable read. A balance between lighthearted and heavy. But... more>> the heavy parts are so uncomfortable I just want to skip it. <<less

This is simply a hidden gem. It has an interesting premise, whereby the MC apparently enters cryogenic sleep and wakes up in the interstellar era. Or maybe he transmigrated. Either way, he got caught by pirates but got saved by the youngest major General, the ML. To prevent himself from getting married off, he says he likes men, thus the start of misunderstandings.

Highly recommended to read. The only bad thing is that the fans translation link is not working at the time of writing : (

So, the MC in this novel is cute and very funny but I personally do not enjoy stories where the main character is helpless under the ML's authority and is forced to do things without his (MC) consent, whether s*xual or not. I also don't like it when the MC is treated like a pet, and messed around with as if he has no feelings or opinions or as if his feelings and opinions are irrelevant-just forced to be obedient and unable to stand up for himself. It's even... more>> worse when he doesn't even try to do so. However, if you like this kind of setting, or don't mind it, you may enjoy this story. As for me, I'm going to go find one in which the two protagonists actually respect and care for each other. <<less

Such a nice plot but I just cant seem to get into it. Maybe I'm just too impatient but usually at chapter 10, I already know when I'll like the novel. Or maybe I'm just not in the mood for interstellar novels considering the genocide in Palestine. Cant help but think of that scene in the novel where they just killed the pirate even after they surrendered. But well they're the bad guy after all. Not the group who has overwhelming military power.

This story is amazing. I was skeptical at first thinking it was going to be a tale full of fluff when I wanted action but BOY THIS HAS ACTION! This has it all, its one of my fav along with "the earth is online" and "The Scum Villain's Self-Saving System". Its filled with action, tragedy and comedy. I love the misunderstanding that the major general gets over the MC.

The only sad part is its not fully translated. I've been trying to suffer though the auto-translated sites but its not the... more>> same as an actual human made one. Trying to figure out the typos just takes the joy out of reading the story. Nevertheless, its still a good tale and I 100% recommend this for anyone who wants to read about a space universes where the MC and ML fights together. They both have their strong traits and help each other.

Spoiler

literally the major general is at one point screw the king. If u dont let the MC go ima blow up ur planet.

also cried so much over the major general copy. That one was a tear jerker. I wished they could had all stayed together ; (
