Yoshida, who worked for a black company, died in an accident.

Due to a mistake during reincarnation work, he couldn’t be reincarnated in his original world.

God suggested him to reincarnate in a different world with a mischievous angel, who unwillingly accompanied him, as his support; and the two were born into the world of sword and magic as twin brother and sister.

A few years later, Yoshida took magic lessons from his angel sister and began his special training so that he could lead a fulfilling life.

But the younger sister, who changed her mind to enjoying this world, was aiming for a parasitic life where she could live comfortably, so she continued training her brother so that she could use him well.

Being an adventurer, or the third generation of inn owners, Yoshida’s second life with a younger sister, who doesn’t wanna work, begins.

Personally, this is definitely worth a read. Try a chapter or two and see whether you agree or not.

It might be an isekai but it's got none of those blushy-blush, lucky pe*vert, or ecchi scenes (so far). There's none of that usual cringy isekai BS, where the MC is so dense light bends around them. The side-characters don't respond with either an "Eh?!" or "OMG!?" whenever something moves.

To put it bluntly, it's a comedy focusing on the daily life of a 'younger sister', who's actually a former-angel that kinda got... more>> Aqua-ed, and her 'brother', the MC (duh~). She supports his growth, aiming to leech off his future career. <<less

Slice of life with no purpose whatsoever. Fine. There are a lot of fun characters and the setting is decent so far, so it kept me until chapter 150, but...

The protagonist is just so forcefully bland and boring. The author keeps on setting up situations where he can have fun, but it's like he weighs his options and picks the one the readers would least want to read about.

And then, any time the protagonist does anything impressive or interesting, he not only refuses rewards whenever possible but also gets teased... more>> about it. The kraken battle's aftermath alone deserves -1 star no matter how I try to explain it away.

Spoiler

It was in the middle of the night and everyone else was watching from far away, a young kid alone defeated a powerful monster, yet the next few chapters was nothing but other people teasing him because his legs were shaking during the battle. Even if everyone somehow noticed his legs shaking in the darkness amidst the waves of water and tent**les going all over the place, is it normal to tease someone who just saved lives and is able to defeat a powerful monster that's been threatening the village?

Do note the website is somewhat shitty, and treats you like a thief. It's a javascript-only site that pops up big "Stop thief! You can't do that!" alerts if you dare to do something as dastardly as double click, or do much else. It also hijacks and prevents attempts to select text or even right click.

It's basically readable as long as you don't regularly wish to do highly suspicious sh*t like select text, or right click. And as long as you don't mind occasionally being called a thief when you... more>> hit some inputs it doesn't like. What a great experience...

Most insultingly of all, no actual aggregator will ever be bothered by such things. Only real readers will deal with their annoyances and accusations of thievery.

---

It's alright. I was honestly expecting more from the reviews I saw, though.

The first chapter or maybe two are a bit misleading. The tone in them just doesn't match what the story ends up as. It's pretty much a basic "I did this, then I did that" slice of life novel. There isn't much in the way of character development, nor comedy. Like most any novel, it's not devoid of comedy, but it's certainly not a driving theme. The lack of character development is a big blow for this novel. With a bit more time there this would probably easily end up being pretty good. As is, it's merely okay.

If you're up for some slice of life in a generic Japanese fantasy world and have nothing better to do... sure. But it's the kind of thing you read because it's easier than actually figuring out something else to do. <<less

Isekai slice of life but with a legit mature protagonist. He isn't overly shy or overly aggressive. He's sorta mellow. Honestly, I really love isekai slice of lifes, but usually my enjoyment for them is hindered by the extreme protagonist and his harem. None of that sh*t here. Just a more or less regular person doing more or less regular person things in another world.

Immediately, I rate this novel quite bad because there are quite a lot of inappropriate expressions among them:... more>>
Spoiler
  1. MC's little sister is called an angel but actually she is just a pe*vert, lazy and spoiled girl. It was really terrible considering her status as a (former) angel and a little underage girl.
  2. Marriage of minors even at the age of 12 are already married. It's even more disgusting that an underage girl is married and has a small daughter but she still tries to seduce MC (an 8 year old boy) to take a bath together. Even the s*upid woman is not shy about making out and seducing her husband in front of the children (MC and his younger sister). This is clearly child s*xual abuse. Funny thing is, the writer thought the scene was funny?
  3. An adult woman (onee chan) likes underage boys (MC), always tries to seduce her and sometimes even sexually harasses her. And the writer thought it was a funny scene?
    [collapse]
If I'm honest, what I have mentioned describes s*xual abuse of children, even though the author packaged it in an ecchi comedy. How could that be funny? Remember s*xual abuse of children is a 'big crime', it should not be made a joke.

I originally hoped this novel would contain a warm family story and sweet friendship between children especially because the MC and his little sister are cute (in appearance). But the longer you read, the more inappropriate expressions of s*xual abuse of children. For example:

Spoiler

I found a lot of wasted chapters for bathing and sleeping scenes which of course only contained ecchi comedy against the abuse of minors.

[collapse]

This novel is really bad read by children under 15 years old. <<less

Sigh... another jp MC who goes from op to beta when females are involved. Author also has some strange ideas regarding bullying.

Spoiler

Jake the bully who has picked on girls because he is too immature to know how to let them know he likes them gets rekt. Author never really goes into detail on what he did to cause girls to stop going to school. When he tries to flip mc's sister's dress (tries doesn't succeed) the MC restrains his hands and feet pulls down his pants exposing his weenie (authors own words) in front of said sister and refuses to release him until he agrees to mc's demands. This somehow magically corrects bully's behavior and now he's a good boy. Dafuq?

[collapse]

I was a little disturbed by that, but decided that maybe the bully did some pretty bad stuff and maybe deserved what he got? But then we get to chapter 90 (where I'm dropping this).

Spoiler

At the end of the chapter, onee sans decide to strip the MC, put him in a dress and makeup, and force him to pretend to be a girl to serve men in a hostess bar?!? What the actual F? Ok so this MC doesn't feel humiliated or doesn't care about being humiliated because he does nothing to stop it. He has magic, but even if he didn't want to use magic for fear of hurting them. How about dumping 50 gallons of dirty bath water on them from his item box to "cool' their heads and make them rethink that. Nah, no spine here, let's just let girls treat him like a doormat, because thats what an op MC should do.... if they are spineless gutless beta japanese I guess.

[collapse]

It's like the japanese idea of a nice guy is someone who lets women abuse and take advantage of him while he says and does nothing to stop them. Really getting tired of these op MC becoming pathetic MC stories. <<less

I would put this heartwarming reincarnation story in my top 20%. While it draws from Mushoku Tensei, it has just enough original twists & builds consistent, likeable characters to be an enjoyable read for slice-of-life fans.

I originally passed this one over, because 'doing something' sounded like the second coming of le*dious (AKA Rudeus). However, the MC is far less ecchi, though the story does draw a lot of influence from Mushoku Tensei.

The story's good, it's just a bit slow on progress in the story...

Also is it just me that mispronounce the title as:

I'll be honest: The story yet is not that amazing (though not boring in any case), but I like the setting with the growing protagonist and his little sister. The flow of the story is smooth, we have ability progression, a bit of farming and a sense of superiority of the protagonist.

This story also got multiple love candidates, though I hope it will not lead to a harem route or if it does, that it is not mainstream/boring.

The story and also the lazing around sister can be considered funny or... more>> enjoyable at the very least.

I am looking forward to future chapters, we'll see which future route Mark takes and a further development of magic if possible.

Spoiler

hopefully from the encounter with the enemy in c118 he'll create something like a barrier or advancing his attack magic further.

Well most lighnov tend to fall into 1 of the 3 following categories:

    • The oddball, or the "serious" ones
    • The author wish fulfillment
    • The reader wish fulfillment
As you can see, this falls into the second category, with all those pop-culture reference. The story follows the cliche of MC went to other world due to s*upid reason, got some cheats and try to live another life in peace, typical LN plot.

So why did I give this a 4/5? Cuz the story is solid, the characters are solid with not overly bland characters and no forced plot with lots of archetype subversion, well some of the joke subversion is a bit bizarre, though it's funny and fit the character personality. It definitely gave my stomach a run for its money from the sudden Jojo reference out of nowhere, and it's just the start. This is a solid 7/10 experience for me and a great way to kill time on commute due to it "lightness", unlike Youjo Senki, I almost vomit reading those on bus :v

I think the art and setup are nice, and slice of life is not a bad genre, I actually like it.

But it just doesn't do much by itself. I think this works as a manga, or if you read 1 chapter every week or day, but maybe not, dunno, there's just not much plotwise to look forward to even then.
