This novel should be called Call me the Mother of Quick Lazymigration

It's not that the novel is bad... it's just isn't really good? You can't really say it's bad but to say it's good... ehhhh I don't think so.

This novel tells the histories of Li Su's quick transmigration motherhood/grandmother adventures.

... more>> As a mother, Li Su really does a good job and she's a qualified mother/grandmother.

But she is just lazy. Too damn lazy.

The only arc that she wasn't lazy for me was the best one, the 70's educated youth when she was a mother of two children with a blind mother-in-law to take care of. There she wasn't given the leisure to be lazy.

As for the other stories...

She is a mother or grandmother of someone hardworking, someone genius, someone lucky. She just needed to be a good mother and lay sideways. Her children/grandchildren most of the time were extreme filial and she just needed to sit, give orders based on filial piety, pat some heads, give some candies and that's it. There is no difficulty, she only needs to be a good mother and someone else will wipe out her ass for her. But most of the time her children/grandchildren didn't even need to make much effort, the villains would self-destruct themselves so fast and efficiently that it seems like when she came to the missions it's a collective sharp IQ drop.

She went to a martial arts world and somehow became a disciple of a medicine/poisons master. It's ok she is kinda s*upid and doesn't learn much. But she could learn the best traditional medicine techniques, poison techniques, but when her son became the leader of martial arts she just... eats, shits and sleeps. Her son covered up everything until she died. She was young and with a mountain of resources she always chooses to be a salted fish and live off her children's success. EVERY. SINGLE. WORLD. When I read the last chapter It gave me the feeling that she just lay down and won.

For being a mother she does a really good job, but as a person... hehe. She herself says her three views are crooked in the first chapter.

Not the best quick transmigration, not the best about motherhood, but it's a good read to pass time. <<less

I personally would have rated higher if the storyline were more like the first few arcs where the mom-child relationship was more complex and the children actually suffers from something. The latter arcs were extremely smooth sailing which kinda made it boring.

However, what I like the most about this is the character growth of MC and how she’s never been s*upidly kind. That was satisfying.

This novel isn't the best transmigration novels but it has its own merit and the best I can describe is average. I wouldn't say that the author got lazy by just basically making the MC super OP, I think the author just got a head of itself and focused more on the OP-ness because the details of scum or slag villains actions are very well described. Overall it was an okay read. But one thing I am disappointed is how the summary is very misleading, like it implicitly portray that the MC will have a lot of cute moments with the son/daughter or grandson/daughter since she is infertile and wished to become a mother before the system arrived.......... but this novel made MC have the personality that... more>> she is treating the kid well just to get the system´s mission completed. It is very one dimensional. <<less

Overall a pretty nice Quick Transmigration novel, and I like that it involves childcare. MC was disappointed with her marriage so decided that romance is not her thing, so yeah no male lead. The system is pretty much non-existent during the whole missions other than to give MC her power and it only appeared like, what? 3-4 times? And we don't even know how it collects the points from MC because there was no intermission between one world to another.

Anyway, I just think of it as a collection of short... more>> stories involving MC who possessed bodies of possible cause of tragedy to help villain or cannon fodder escape the path of self-made tragedy while they were still young. Should be 3.5 stars but raised to 4 stars for the little buns. <<less

To summarize: Average.

I can certainly appreciate the fact that there is little to no romance for the FL, at most it there is, it remains strictly platonic. When beginning novel I had anticipated long interactions between the children and the FL, however I found that any times they interacted—they would be dissatisfying and short. The FL for the lack of better words, got everything handed to her by her children or grandchildren in the names of filial piety, and there was no pampering or spoiling her children. The children were... more>> always mature and self-reliant. She would at most pat their heads and give them candy.

I felt this disappointing because I had thought this would be a loving, motherly novel, but it really wasn’t. <<less

I can't tell if I just have a bias, or if they keep writing lesbian couples and then pairing them off individually with men in every world.

At first I thought I just read too much yuri and it's all in my head... but now there's a chapter where one of the girls directly states that she's very gay and also gay for the other girl specifically. And then she ultimately marries the brother because he "touched her heart after years of persistence". The author makes a big point of saying... more>> that she only likes girls because she got r*ped and traumatized as a child and hates men. And now after that I'm looking back and wondering if actually my gaydar really was working correctly earlier...

I otherwise really enjoy the story, but this particular aspect makes me vaguely uncomfortable reading it. It's subtle enough that I can't tell if they're doing it on purpose and I really ought to be offended or if I'm actually just imagining things and getting offended at my own delusions. The uncertainty makes it even more irritating, it's like when the annoying kid at recess gets up in your space and goes "I'm not touching you, I'm not touching you!" with their finger an inch away from your face. Not technically actually doing anything, but drives you up the wall anyways, you know? <<less

This is one of my favorite stories that I've MTL'd this year. The MC is recruited by a system to be a good mother in various worlds. The people she has to help are usually villains or crooked in their thinking. I really like the fact that the MC wasn't focused on romance and took the task of raising these kids seriously. This is a slice of life/child-rearing novel with some plot thrown in.

I really like the concept, I just didn't expect the story flow to be like this ngl. It's.... bland? I couldn't connect with the characters, it didn't feel satsifying at all tbh.

It's like I was just reading spoilers on a forum, everything felt like a summary. I didn't feel much for the MC as well, she was just there along with the other characters. Personally not a huge fan of the pacing, it feels kinda bad. Still, it's a nice breather so I can see why people would like it... more>> and I can also see why some wouldn't, it depends on the day of every person <<less

The first arc was good, but the second one had me wondering whether or not author was changed mid-way. There are a lot of minor, but annoying inconsistencies, the characters are not that great, and the plot overdramatic.

But, coming from a Breaking a Couple in every World, one can really see author's growth through the years. In just three years, there's such a large difference! So, I won't blame the story too much, knowing that it was a necessary stepping stone.

But if you're interested in mother characters transmigrating, I recommend... more>> checking The Good Mother System. Though, the heroine there is given much more cheats that just 'cow's strength', it's still a rather enjoyable read. <<less

It's a good read.

The plot and stories are nothing super complicated. The characterization of side characters is a touch flat. But overall, it's an enjoyable story to read through if you don't carefully scrutinize it.

I'd recommend it if you're looking for something easy to follow. So far there's no over-arching plot line.

This is at best a 3/5. In many of the arcs, the MC barely does a thing and somehow, everything goes her way. Families that thrived before somehow destroyed themselves because ???

While I'd like to believe that bad people will always meet karma, that is simply not true. Hence, I find this aspect of the novel extremely hard to believe. In addition, the stories tend to be a summary of things happening without too much details. I couldn't get attached to any of the characters.

Anyway, that's my take on this.... more>> It's not bad for passing the time. <<less

It gets better after the very first few arcs. I really enjoyed it and each arc is rounded out super thoroughly with nothing left out. I enjoy the ending of each arc and felt satisfied with how things play out. MC doesn't start out with any real special abilities but gains some slowly and it didn't feel Mary Sue which can be an issue with qt novels. It's a good novel.

It was a pretty good quick transmigration novel -if you could ignore its massive plot holes and classic cliches. Straightforward and smart MC, minimum unnecessary romance, plus a lot of warm-hearted cute kid scene with neat ending. However, some arcs' original plots (before the MC saved the day) were almost copy-pasted from other novels and QTs. And there's one thing that irks me to death: The MC actually saved money in her space and used it in different arcs (world). This is simply impossible. Currency differences aside, each paper should... more>> have codes & numbers that could be tracked by authorities. Even if it is possible for her to save them in the space, it is impossible to use it in huge number in different worlds without arousing suspicions. <<less

So far a very entertaining and refreshing QT story with no romance and she got a very unique view on parenthood:

Spoiler

It started with a bang, the very first thing she did after arrival was break the leg of her son with a rod and later take him begging with his lame leg and she keeps berating and hiting him at any misbeaviour, lol kidding while she did in fact did that, the son was a scum that was beating up his wife and will eventually gamble away their daughter and beat his wife to death

[collapse]

and she does a very trought job on educating her family while staying on character:

Spoiler

"The same can be said of you. As they say, whether the husband is good depends on his wife. Good for you! What he says goes! If he asks you for money, you'll give it to him. If he hits you, you just cry. What are you doing with your hands? You only know how to take it and you don't know how to fight back! You need to be like me, who broke his leg. Can he go out to drink and gamble now?" Li Su turned around and scolded Wang Fang again.

"Let me tell you, when a man hits you for the first time, you have to beat him to the ground so he won't dare try it again! Besides, it doesn't matter if he has a lame leg, he can still pick up scraps. If not, he can beg for food. He can always do something. I'm telling you that men cannot get used to knowing things. As the saying goes, a husband that is used to things is like a killer, so men should be disciplined!" Li Su spouted some nonsense.

[collapse]

and earns the admiration of the young generation:

Spoiler

"I think that what my grandma said was very reasonable." Bai Qing Qing's eyes lit up. "I understand why grandma was indifferent to family matters before. She wanted to test my mum. My mother ended up being too soft and disappointed grandma, so she ended up dealing with it herself. Grandpa Zhang, you should have seen my grandma today. She was so cool today! She broke my dad's leg. She is so cool! Grandma is wonderful!"

[collapse]

At its so nice to see her hard job on educating bearing fruit:

Spoiler

Bai Yun Shan opened his mouth to curse, as was his habit. Just as he was about to speak, he saw the old witch who had possessed his mother's body look at him coldly. Bai Yun Shan was so frightened that he couldn't speak.

[collapse]

Spoiler

Wang Fang couldn't help but laugh. "Don't be angry with your mother. Mum beats you for your own good. Mum is right. Beating and scolding someone is love. Not beating or scolding someone is a curse. I think what mum says is very reasonable. Don't you think our days have more and more prospects?"

[collapse]

And finally it was delightful to see how her influence changed her family child from scheaming super blackened fake best friend that wants the ML to his "rival" LOL

Spoiler

He happened to see a drunk man pestering Chen Tian Tian. Jiang Rui Qi's eyes lit up. He was about to rush in to be the hero who saved the beauty and show off his masculine charm when that tomboy took a baseball bat out from her bag and hit the drunk man two or three times before the man fled.

Jiang Rui Qi's expression darkened. Why was she everywhere?!

He saw Chen Tian Tian smile and pull at Bai Qing Qing, acting spoiled. "Qing Qing, you are awesome! It's so good to have you around!"

Bai Qing Qing touched Chen Tian Tian's hair and the two walked side by side.

Jiang Rui Qi stood under a tree and watched Bai Qing Qing's figure as she walked away. He had a hunch that this woman would get in the way of him chasing his girlfriend. She was the kind who couldn't be moved!

this story made me feel a roller coaster of emotions, but it did a good job making me feel irritated/annoyed all the time by how the characters behave and thinks. Which is in normal times would made me drop such stories but this one didnt made me do it and instead made me invested. Thank you translator-nim for translating such a story!

This is a pretty low-key transmigration novel. The MC is assigned different parenting oriented tasks in different worlds - ancient times, business stories, zombie infestations - and accomplishes them. So - not a ton of romance but a ton of good parental appreciation.

Maybe that's what made me like this story: some families improve and some never change but the MC understands herself and her actions much better. Obviously, not for everyone but in this time of pandemic, this story is kind of like a nice dream or a comforting bedtime... more>> story. Although - I'm still not a fan of zombies!

I'd like to read more novels by this author - I feel they improved over the length of the story. <<less

I can't undarstand some Peoples comments... Anyway, i'ts all about short fells good stories.

The MC have just one super Power, and later one "skill" given by The system. No ML until now.

I liked all the settings, and am Just awayting for the finale. In all the settings her mission was always one, to be there and give some pointers, she is not the main character, but the person that will not let the train go off the rails. Some people calls her lazy, I say that she is doing the... more>> missions as well as needed.

The only sad point, is that its reeeally short, and the finale some time is a summary, but it's fine! It's all well written. <<less

The author doesn't know a thing about motherhood. The thing is, the story revolves around a mother and her children/grandchildren, but oddly enough, motherhood itself isn't even the main theme. It's all about filial piety. Don't get me wrong, filial piety is an important concept, but when you're expecting a story about a mother and her offsprings, it feels kind of one-sided and disappointing.

From a technical standpoint, the lack of balance is a real issue. If this were an essay, the author would definitely lose half the marks because they... more>> failed to present both sides of the discussion topic. It's like they completely disregarded all facets of motherhood and focused solely on filial piety.

I have to admit, I was looking forward to a deep exploration of the joys and struggles of being a mother. I wanted to see the complexities and conflicting emotions that come with the territory. But instead, I got a narrow view that left me wanting more.

In conclusion, while the story may have some redeeming qualities for being laid-back, its narrow focus on filial piety at the expense of exploring the broader aspects of motherhood leaves much to be desired. If you're looking for a well-rounded depiction of motherhood, this isn't the story for you. <<less

This novel is about a transmigrator struggle to help her children into the right path. To let them having a good ending different than the original premise.

Sometimes, I forget about this premise and wanting more for the background stories. This is the fault of translator who gives a great and engaging translation. Lol...

Thank you for the translation.

What I want to say is just the same as what others who gave this a 4-star rating said. It's enjoyable to read and nothing too complicated. She's a good mom. There will be no male partner/lover for any of the arcs.
