(sigh)

Prologue is mostly exposition and gobledigook. There is an organization that does things based off of the oft-overused (and nonsense) time-travel motivator of 'something went wrong in history'. 'Job-related' couples-bashing subtext aside, much chatter, no action.

Ch 1 reinforces 'historically traditional' Chinese assumptions of class and value... and.. that's pretty much it. sneaky conspiring based on motivators related to that... The story could progress slower, but I don't see how...
New translator & some issue, but nothing compared to the weak plotting... Well, not sure if the narrative is tensed improperly in trans or original- as the story reads like secretarial shorthand for a transcript summary of events which occurred instead of a proactive story.

To be honest, I'm already losing interest in this 'this is how things summed up'-style story, but I try to endure...

Nope. Too painful to read. I don't see the point of this situational mish-mash or why it's 'important'. I don't care anymore, either.

I swear I have no idea what someone can see in this to give it 5 stars. It's pretty forced/contrived/cliche- so 'go figure'?

[Update]
I suspect a better translation was taken down. I'l review this again when a better translation pops up.

Don't know how to feel

Started reading this years ago when there were barely a couple arcs translated. Completed it now. (Well, not quite. I dropped the extras because that arc really magnified a lot of the tropes that annoyed me)

Looked at the other reviews and half of the people with low ratings said they didn't like it because of the MC and ML's ruthlessness. If you don't like vengeful and morally grey protagonists this definitely isn't for you. It's something I enjoy though.

The best comparison I can probably make... more>> is that this is like Quickly Wear the Face of the Devil. If it's one of the first world hopping novels with a badass MC you read than it's super refreshing and you adore it. But you come back to it later and it's garbage, apart from one or two arcs maybe. This novel is pretty similar, because a year or two ago I would have easily given this 5 stars. But now I've read more novels and am more critical. Idk.

Haven't read any Quick Transmigation novels or have only read a few with naive protagonists? You'll enjoy this. Somewhat at least, it does go downhill later on.

It held a soft spot in my heart back when I was a teenager who liked yandere MLs but it's just, , eh.

edit:::: nah f*ck this im lowering my rating again. I tried to read another chapter in the extras
Spoiler

so it's about the MCs past so she doesn't remember anything recent

[collapse]
and he forcefully kisses her when and she's young and doesn't know him and that just got me to remember all the other gross stuff. Overlooked the kinda in*est in the first arc because ML knew it wasn't his sister and didn't like his sister just her but there's also the pseudo pe*ophilia in one of the arcs near the end where all the kids involved are transmigated or reborn but it's still creepy how the other characters see no issue, and then I don't remember it clearly anymore but there's the stereotypical thing halfway through the novel when they first have s*x she pleads him to be gentler that ML doesn't care about hurting MC and its romanticized that her waist hurts and she can't walk after

like all this is stuff that tons of other novels do to so you're desensitized and it's easy to pass over but when you start noticing it.. Ew <<less

so tired of novels romanticizing mental illness. Schizophrenic this, schizophrenic that. Author made attached it to the ml, who's nowhere showing schizophrenia signs and is just borderline criminal-obsessive-macho-yandere-toxic boi. Too much details in the second arc too. Confusing as hell. Writing is weak and plot is overused.

Basically, the plot of this story is one we're all familiar with: Where the MC transmigrates into "cannon-fodder" characters in multiple worlds. However, this MC isn't being forced by some "system" or "god" -- she's willingly part of the World Destroyer HQ!

Yes, this MC is a member of the organization that manages and destroys worlds, with various departments such as Realm Destroyer HQ, Realm Restorer HQ, Transmigrators HQ, Reincarnators HQ...

She's a cannon-fodder character out for revenge against all the BS main characters, especially the selfish male leads. Hell hath no... more>> fury like a woman scorned...

Overall, the story is ok and decently translated with some minor errors. The main character's personality changed a lot between the first and second realms, and the side characters are somewhat two-dimensional. (As they often are in these multiple-world type of stories.) So far, this novel doesn't really stand out much from all the rest, but it's still entertaining. <<less

It was a good read, but I can't say it's a masterpiece.

The story focus on the main couple overturning the world in their favor. So although there be interesting arcs, it's all ruined with the couple not going with the plot.

I’m torn... I loved the first translator, Blu, I enjoyed her comments and it felt like I was reading with a friend

Then she deleted her comments and stopped translating

The second translator is good, but I lost interest in the novel after The Competition of Sugar Daddy’s arc because I missed Blu

There are some questionable arcs, the in*est on the first arc (no actual consumption, just obsessive love), an arc where all they do is have s*x, the stereotype of not being to walk for days after losing her v**ginity (it... more>> makes me wonder if Chinese Authors even know how s*x works)

But, there were also fun arcs. It has a little bit of something for everyone

I purposely didn’t give any stars because I dropped the novel, not because it was bad, but because I was sad

Sometimes I think we put too many expectations on translators, they aren’t getting paid to do this, they are doing it for love of the story

If you don’t like the translators style, don’t read their works. It’s as simple as that <<less

I’m not dropping it just yet, but it’s become a really boring read where I just need to turn off my brain. The first two arcs were interesting albeit a ton of plot holes especially in arc two. Actually arc two just made no sense but the premise had a lot of potential. The story becomes a lot more consistent and understandable after that but then at some point the ML who is for some reason obsessed with the FL just does all the work for her. It’s gotten to... more>> the point I pray and hope for an arc without the male lead but no he just keeps appearing and making the story super boring. He’s OP to the point that there is no plot anymore and it’s kind of really annoying??? The whole story is just the ML flirting with the female lead with a dash of plot. But it’s not even especially clever or witty flirting and I don’t really see their chemistry either. The FL’s only reason for liking him is “he treats me so well” “he’s not a scum man.” The devotion the ML has for the FL is barely explained which makes everything he does seem kind of overbearing and brainless. This story would be so much more interesting with less of the male lead. <<less

This is actually one of the best female quick transmigrational book.

SKIP Arc 2... that arc is confusing AF... and it adds nothing to the plot, just skip it. The arcs get better the first few were not as good as the later ones.

I want to say. It really was sinister!

First of all, I'd like to congratulate myself for complete reading 400+ chapter novel. I've been reading novels with only 100+ and so chapters this past few weeks and it's been a while since I read a novel this long.

Anyway, I like the story. It's good but I think the author put too much arc in the novel. I'm getting bored reading another arc since the arc didn't have much purpose only deepening the relationship with the MC and ML. Or maybe because... more>> it said in the chapter I don't member what chapter that there will be 4-5 world before the contest? In the Lost time and space.

I like the MC. She didn't lost herself in hate and anger. She learn to love again. And ML too. He was possessive but it complement MC because MC really want someone who will only love her. ML being possessive of her is really good. It made MC relax her mind and heart for future trouble~

The novel is long for me. I'd like to reread it again if its shorter but its not.

Thank you for translating. <<less

It's one of the best transmigration novel. There are no cliques. The whole concept is new. The author's writing style is good too.

It is a type of story that will never get boring. There are so many story arcs. In novelupdates, someone commented that it was boring and confusing, especially the 2nd story arc. Honestly when I read that same story arc before going to bed, there were literally goosebumps on my arms. If you read the scenarios and imagine it and be a bit patient, then the whole experience... more>> will be totally different.

The male lead, Su Rui, is a nutjob. He is a can't-see-anyone-but-FL type of male lead. Though he is 2D at first, but there is so much character development in the later parts. He goes from obessesion over FL to truly loving her. He is a bit op though. He is not the perfect type of male lead. Don't expect him to be humane either. But overall, he is a good ML that you'd want to have!

The FL, Su Wan, is a strong woman. Her character development is one of the best throughout the novel. She typically plays the role of the ex girlfriend and defeats slag men and white lotuses. There is so much face slapping, but it didn't feel dogblooded. All types of cn novels cliques where we, readers, get frustrated (sometimes over the bastard scum MLs or brain dead FLs) the author did justice for us. If you are familiar with online asian novels then you'd know the feeling, where your standard for ML and FL become decreasingly low with time. After reading this, you'd get back your normal standards.

The love between the ML and FL here is through time and space. Why the ML fell in love with FL may irks you bit, but the thing is the ML wasn't normal on the first place. Only after some arcs did we see his character more down to earth. His character is adorable one. I mean this ML pursued the FL and for that he exerted efforts. He watched dogblooded dramas to take notes about romance, if it is not cute then what is?! ^_^

P.S:

I think the author's one of the favorite genre is mystery. There were some story arcs that were mystery and thriller. But it was written well nonetheless.

I won't deny that there are some plotholes here and there. But it is in tolerable range so it didn't bother me that much. <<less

I'm sorry but I'm literally halfway through the FIRST chapter and I'm already thoroughly confused...! I'm not sure why and if I'm the only one... It seems like it should make sense but it doesn't... idk?

Let me explain:

Spoiler

First it tells us this 'The battle officially began after Ye Zhihua married into Xuanyuan Rui household.

The final outcome between these two parties was, of course, Ye Zhihua who had been given a second chance succeed.

Currently, Xuanyuan Qing ‘tricks and plot’ had been discovered, and Ye Zhilin had been labelled ‘enchantress’, these two would be executed within an hour.

Su Wan thought that if she did not come to do this task, then the world would have a perfect ending.

Unfortunately, she had already arrived.'

  1. I'm 100% sure Xuan Yuan Qing is this 5th prince and the male protag and Ye Zhilin is the 'sister' and the female protag, right.
  2. Su Wan is the MC and the person who became Ye Zhihua
  3. So them two being executed it basically the ending! So why tf does is say 'Su Wan thought that if she did not come to do this task, then the world would have a perfect ending.' ????

Also it says 'But in fact, before Ye Zhihua passed she was visited by Ye Zhilin and informed that she was a soul transmigrated over and the original Ye Zhilin had long died.'

Why does it say 'But in fact'? Like am I missing something here?

And then they introduce the MC is the f*cking middle of the chapter!?

[collapse]

Who tf tranlated this? No offence but I'm pretty sure they got basically every character's names mixed up like 50 times <<less

The novel was amazing at first. My favorite arc is the 2nd one. I can never forget the 2nd arc, because it was that good.

Su wan was and independent, strong, fearless, op MC. Yes she 'was', before meeting our ML. At first I loved their cp. Like our ML was the best. He never forced himself on her (like every other MLs in Chinese novels), he is not a s*x monster, he truly cares about her well being and never did anything that has the possibility of hurting her (he... more>> doesn't papapa in some arcs where he think it might hurt her) (well it changed after anyways) he pampered her alot.

I was ok with all this and loved the novel so far. But after all those pampers MC forgot how to do task at all (authors words). She never actively do the tasks and followed behind ML 'obediently'. She didn't even realize the ML (of an arc) was in love with her. She became a bit dumb, a damsel in distress and started to search for ML right after entering a world because he can solve all her problems. Like where the hell is my strong op independent su wan

And the ML changed too. He still pampers her but in one arc he wanted to papapa her (because he couldn't control the 'darkness' in him) even though doing the deed might hurt our MC. ML what happened to you? Explain yourself. Why did you become like this? Su wan was completely helpless without ML and always relied on him, she couldn't even think like an average genius.

No, its ok to be an average MC BUT she was a op MC the author hyped us all up but didn't meet the expectations with his character development. It would have been fine if she was like this from the start. But after reading an amazing josei it now feels like reading a shounen with a pov of fl. This novel made me so disappointed. Yeah sure, the story was good but it doesn't cancel out the bad character development between the both. If su rui and su wan was like this from the start I would have been kinda ok but I feel like the author showed us heaven and pushed us into hell. I didn't come here to read a shounen in the name of josei.

How happy I was before is how disappointed and dissatisfied I'm now. <<less

I've read a handful of quick transmigration stories, not one I was able to finish 'til the end. Sinister Ex-girlfriend is the first delightful exception.

It's important to note trigger warnings such as death, r*pe, assault (and probably a few more which I couldn't recall right off the bat). The translator did an amazing job. I am not sure if Blu translated this novel to the end, but I liked their quips and comments they'd insert from time to time. The characters would grow on you; their journey as well... more>> as their growth. I've noticed some inconsistencies within the novel but they're not too glaring. This novel might not be for everyone, but I truly enjoyed reading this novel. Albeit not all arcs were the best most were rather entertaining and could teach their readers one or two things about life and love.

Spoiler

My favourite arcs were about the nine dreams, the apocalyptic world filled with zombies and impunity. The first one came out confusing but beautifully done as well as, or rather especially, the impunity arc. The zombie-ridden world wasn't baffling, but it bore the desire for a new beginning within our leads.

[collapse]

If you're a reader looking for a pairing that'd do a lot of things for each other and is not averse to quick transmigration stories, then this one is for you. Our female and male lead showcased a love that transcends expectations. Truly, love should be like a revolving door; it must swing both ways.

I was unable to read the first chapter due to the poor translation.

The translation to English is actually very good, the editing is good too, no obvious grammatical errors- the reason I call it poor however is that the translator (blu) is very conceited and arrogant- using pinyin words and assuming that the readers know what they mean. I was able to keep up until a character called Su Wan appeared out of nowhere- this combined with the arrogant translator refusing to actually translate half of the novel to English... more>> (or it's equivalent, for example using terms like Qin Wangfu instead of just saying villa) I got frustrated very quickly, I want to read a novel, not google random pinyin terms every couple of sentences.

I really hate this type of person who just assumes other people know what they're talking about. They're the worst kind of scholar. Had a few teachers like this, that would frequently bandy about terms that hadn't been previously explained and just assumed I knew what they were saying; then admonishing me when asking for an explanation. The reason they assume others know what they're saying? Arrogance and conceit. A belief that if you don't know what they know, you must be s*upid or incompetent and that as a result they are the better person. I can't stand this type of person and maybe Blu isn't like this but I can say I won't be reading their translations- which is a shame, I loved the website layout without all the bullshit.

I'll give this a read if someone else ever translates it or if I really have to scr*pe the bottom of the barrel, otherwise I'm not going to put myself through the torture of trying to read this semi-translated work.

Also this is not a web novel- this reads more like an actual novel. I'm unsure if the original author was grinding word count or not, but there's a lot. Web novels usually have faster paced stories due to shorter sentences and will even go so far as to omit describing things in detail to keep up a rapid pace- light novels are the same but with more descriptions and side-character development but this.. I thought it was going to be a QT novel but you get bombarded with exposition for the first half of the first chapter another reason I'm not interested in reading it. <<less

Highly recommend if you like serial transmigration and true love type stories. The other reviews pretty much say it all, but here’s some additional 2 cents:

I especially like that the MC and ML have flaws and that there is character growth as well a logical progression of their relationship. The MC in particular does some serious self-reflection to move forward from her past trauma – which is fully explained and satisfactorily resolved in the final arc.

The author does an excellent job revealing the psychology behind characters and why that leads... more>> them to certain actions in a very concise manner. Multiple times the narration of the MC notes that a small change in the details of a situation can lead to completely different outcomes. This makes the writing more nuanced as the characters, even the villains, are rarely purely good or evil. <<less

My first quick transmigration genre. And let me tell you- love it. ? I still come back after reading Tones of other novels and re-read it. Because it’s simply the smoothest and most logical (as far as logic can get in those worlds). MC is a strong and independent woman but not unrealistically OP. She learn to love and fall in love with ML and trust him only after a long time. Really lovely read ❤️

I've read a lot of interdimensional travel genre but this is the best one for me. The growth of each character was stunning, even the other couples beside our MC and ML were well shaped and you can empathize with each character in the story.

The thing I love the most in this story is how devoted the MC and ML are to each other. ML is very vocal and expressive of his feelings while MC is the quiet type but she can still show how much she loves her man.... more>> It makes you jealous and makes you wish to find a man like that LOL!

The ending was super satisfying as well. It's not rushed at all, the story was wrapped up nicely and even show tidbits of what happened to their child/grandchildren.

It's quite easy to read via MTL so I recommend this story for you to read. I am 120% confident you will like it too! <<less

I don’t know why this novel has such a high rating. I finished reading 3 of her missions and all of them seem as total overkill in terms of retaliation. Main leads are simply not hateful enough to understand why she treats them so. And there was still no explanation why she even has these plane destroying tasks? Why at all? And in the first ack why couldn’t she use 5th brother and had to kill him? Again maybe author should give some explanations what is the purpose at all

I'm a big fan of QT novels and this is the first M/F novel that I read and I loved it. I love Su Wan as the main character. Su Rui has flaws but I am used to his type of male leads and I love that he respects Su Wan when they have a huge age difference in their roles. I binge read it for a week and I still feel that I didn't get enough of it.

I LOVED THIS BOOKKKKKKKK, okay hear me out, I know the first arc is confusing with all the weird names, but if u persevere through it u are in for a treat. Blu's (I think that was the original translators name, not sure) video animation in the first chapter kinda helps to understand it, also try reading it on box novel and comparing the text on iso tls to better understand. At some point in the story both ISO and Box novels have the same exact words including blu's notes... more>> so that only helped a little, u couldnt really compare the texts after that, however you didnt really need to. I read until the epilogue, I couldnt bear to read the extras because... idk its hard to explain, in a way I got my own emotional security when everything wrapped up in the epilogue, and the in a way the extras kind of unravelled it all, so I stopped at 1 paragraph in lol, BUT PLEASE READ ITTTTTTTTTT ITS SO GOOD AHHHHHHHHH. this story kinda made my expectations for 'love' sky rocket to an unbelievable level. I know that the "i will find you no matter who u are, or where u r, even if I lose my memors, ur love is engraved in my bones and soul, I will love u no matter what u become, i'll give my life for u" typa love doesnt exist.... and thats the problem.... CUZ WHY DOESNT IT- ughhhhhhhhhhh im in dispair T^T this story heats up my emotions alot but there was also LOTS of FLUFF and AFFECTION ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh~ okay....i'll stop rambling, no one read all this probably but- READ THE STORY PLEASE, its fine after the first arc. <<less
