“Obtaining the topmost degree of talent in sword arts in the world requires giving up 72 years of lifespan, which leaves you with only five more years of your life. At the same time, you will never be able to feel love, kinship, and friendship, and you’ll end up leading a lonely life until your death, unable to procreate, or to have any descendants.

“From now onwards, everything related to happiness in the human world shall no longer be of your concern. Are you willing to accept this?”

“Hahahaha, I’m already alone bereft of all support, my hopes dashed to pieces, shouldering only absolutely irreconcilable grudge and hatred, why would I disagree? Why would I not want it? I couldn’t ask for anything better!!”

His sword sweeps across the Divine Continent for seven days and nights, moving 90,000 miles through the starry skies, unhindered.

He slays saints and buddhas in Heaven, slaughters demons and devils in Hell, sweeping away all the grievances in his heart!

Although the ending was too sudden (REALLY sudden), I still enjoyed reading it. I binge-read this for like a week or two and I really enjoyed it. I recommend this for you guys who enjoys cultivation, modern technology and science. Also, I really like the MC, some MC's like to be low-key however, this MC is totally high-key, just my type. The type of guy who's no one can tell him what the fu*k to do and relies on himself only. He may be arrogant to others, but what he... more>> says he can do, he can really do so I guess he's just stating facts. Anw, I really like the MC.

For his subordinates, none of them stand out much to me except for a few like maybe tyrant or ulpian (not really his subordinate tho). Though they also have some character, it's just the MC is way too domineering my attention was always on him (LOL).

The plot is really good, although there may be some plot holes, it's really really good.
Spoiler

for example, why did li shuahua killed MC's mother or 'sister' out of anger. And the cultivation of the quantum organs leading to just the eye of denouement. (Or maybe I didn't really understand?? Idk)

[collapse]

And there is also no romance in this, like NOTHING at all, so those of you who came to look for romance, this is not it. Even so, I really recommended this for you guys to read, just bear for the first hundred chaps and you're fine. As for the ending, although it didn't made too much sense for me, and I repeat, it REALLY was too sudden, I think it's still good.

Spoiler

and I also want to know about the rest of fang xingjian's subordinates like what happened during the MC's disappearance and whether fang xingjian would return to miracle world. Also what would happen in the seven onslought, I think the seven onslought would happen just after the disappearance of the devil gods, so what happens thereafter?

It has an interesting start but as you progress through the plot you'll realize this guy is just going to be dealing with a sh*t ton of arrogant young masters. And aside from MC all of them are either categorized as "neutral but friendly enough" or "irredeemable piece of shit", there's no middle ground. The result is most of the cast are pretty flat.

If you like those kind of face slapping then I guess try it out. ¯\_ (ツ) _/¯

Like the story but taken over by qi. It is the type of novel that is good to read in one shoot chapter by chapter is a pain. Typical young master and vilain character but at least he beat them fast. The cultivation is original but the system is barely explained (Magic, perk and demon god energie). One of the bad thing in this novel is that there is constantly people that underestimate MC when he does thing that no one has done for tousand year.

If your sick to death of cliche mains, you have come to the correct novel. Paradise of demons and gods forgoes the entire harem/love, and pretty much all sorts of emotion, with just competition and hard work. I will be honest, it seems a bit rushed at first when receiving his talent, but as a first, it comes with a price that no others have; 5 years left to live. Although 100% chance this will get increased, it is refreshing to read something where the MC isn't arrogant and not... more>> all opponents aren't. <<less

Above average. Due to the time limit imposed by the plot line, there is a sense of urgency in the story. It tells of an unwanted kid who tried to escape a bleak future, only to be left for dead after his ill-fated attempt. A mysterious voice offered him a deal: explosive growth in return for a much shortened lifespan. With nothing left to lose, he accepted.

The stat screens seem superfluous and unnecessary, since the text itself tells of the problems and advantages of the MC quite well on its... more>> own. Usually, stories that use such stat windows do so to tell points quickly and focus their writing elsewhere, which is why I find it strange being used here since the descriptive narration is already quite detailed. Imagine, say, Undefeated God of War with its paragraphs of training and combat. It does not need stat windows. Somehow, I get the feeling that the author's direction changed in mid-composition.

As to the story itself, it seems decently written with a long-term goal of revenge. To read after chapter stockpiling. <<less

Story started out decent with interesting premise but quickly devolved to cliches.

Like why does MC want to go back to Fang clan which literally wanted to make him a s*ave? WTF man. Also the fortuitous encounter ran into him? Like why would a random shadow guy appear infront of MC? The stakes are high sure but some of MC's decisions make me so mad (totally idiotic things)

Honestly don't waste your time reading this

I really enjoyed this novel, even though when it reached chapter 900 and above, there were many elements that I thought were messy, but I still felt like I could enjoy it, because unlike other novels where MC annoyed me, I really liked MC in this novel, because His nature is not convoluted like most other MC novels, although there are things that are lacking, namely MC who doesn't want to love someone, and is too flat, but still I still enjoy stories where MC practices and cultivates to become... more>> stronger.

So I don't recommend this for those of you who are looking for a story where a MC wants to save someone else at the risk of his own life.

It's a good novel, it mixes a LOT of genres, it's just a shame this is the third part of the trilogy (too bad I did not see that before I started) so it makes it really hard to guess what happened before and why.

But it was still enjoyable, I liked the story and the silly jokes. If you don't mind the confusion and like adventures give it a try.

I'll say it: most stories start out a bit promising and then become bland, but this story is unique: it has started out as absolutely bland and too fast-paced. Maybe I'm too early or this story is written too badly but seriously, the MC's behaviour is too annoying, Makes me want to slap the guy until he wakes up from his delusions.

At the moment I'm not in the mood to pick up a story to read mindlessly, I kind of wanted more substance to the story. This story is absolutely... more>> not something that you can read seriously with how annoying the MC is. <<less

A good start, the premise of paying a price to gain power, but it starts to get boring with time.

There is a part that forced me to abandon the novel:... more>>
Spoiler

With the arrival of the seventh disaster, the Ether particles started to increase and memories / characters from other eras reappear. They meet and decide to form the group "Shang" to help others like them to own a body and return, they select a leader who was alive before the first disaster and he says he lived in an asylum in Beijing, when he sees the protagonist with 1.08 billion Ether particles he thinks he's a Dragon Ball SSJ and they need to kill him...

Time passes and the "Shang" start planning to go against the protagonist and the asylum guy starts to take "skills out of his ass". and help them

Don’t believe anyone who gives this novel a bad review, because this novel isn’t bad. If you can get past the first few hundred chapters or so, you have yourself a densely packed, well written (most of the time) story with a well explained power leveling system and a MC who gets sh*t done. This MC, although quite powerful, doesn’t have much plot armor (imho), at least, he has believable plot armor that was explained and built up before hand in most of the fight.

If you want a romance, don’t... more>> expect one until at least a thousand chapters in due to the MC being a cold character on a time limit and having massive trust issues.

Read this novel, hell skip a hundred chapters in, but read it; you’ll get a good story and an interesting character out of it. <<less

A story like most others, it started off good in an intriguing place then gradually died off.

To be honest, the story has a unique premise in that the MC actually has to pay something tangible in exchange for his talent. This quickly becomes irrelevant however in that the protagonist progresses at such a fast pace that he becomes nigh invincible with the typical progression of enemies. Even when he meets someone he cannot reasonably defeat at that time, his master or other acquaintances step in to defend him.

Spoiler

Oh, the usual provoking young master? Easily defeated. Their aunt comes in to kill him? His master comes into play. He's being accused of publishing a technique that has underlying flaws? A divine level expert comes in to defend him.

[collapse]

There really isn't anything different to other cultivation novels when you start getting into the hundred chapter mark. If you're into that, then this novel is for you. Otherwise, I recommend to drop it off shortly after he gets revenge. <<less

Spoiler

Can't believe that even though his Mental Cultivation technique pushes him regardless of sense to kill anything evil and then he befriends the most loathsome character which gets to befriend the MC after drying a maid's body into a shriveled corpse for power after howmany people he had killed then proceeds to give that guy countless benefits to end up being the best buddies. When that same guy power ups through only two ways: Sacrificing People's life or Sucking Their flesh and blood (Still the same) or Taking control of their body and live in their place (Even worse)

[collapse]

One of those novels that keep being inconsistent regardless of wtf happens.

What makes even less sense is the whole concept of "coincidences" aligning for the MC's favor later on.

Readable to chapter 200? Anything beyond that is mash potatoes.

-The reduction of life is unnecesary and annoying.
-Martial art novels are also tend to be sh*t novels due to their flexibility and math errors, which also is the case in this novel.
Which makes the novel double annoying, also shows that the author doesn't know or care how to write a good power structural plot.

In essense, boring, annoying, a sh*t plot.

I feel whatever's worth saying about this novel has already been said. Still, the cover art bugs me beyond belief, to the point that nearly a year after posting this I came back to edit it.

Now, what bugs me so much about the cover art is the fact that I have a book on a shelf within arms reach with the exact same art, Prince of Thorns by Mark Lawrence.

Although it is a mess, there is at least an effort to build an overall plot. Also the author tries to explain the strength of cultivators in a kind of pseudoscientific worldview which is admirable at least for the attempt.

MC personality is maximum focused desire to reach the peak and disregard for anything else. But if it doesn't interfere much with his gial he does save or guide other people.

You can understand how frustrated this story gets when I tell you that I read almost 200 chapters of this novel. First 20 chapters are about how his loved one have betrayed him blah blah blah. And then it's about how he gets his talents or I say cheats then you expect this story to turn for better but after that its get more boring and boring and I'm dropping it. I hope in future it's get better.

It seems to be a mixture of both the future and western "cultivation" type of story. Knights... makes you think of Westerners.

It is so dumb where the MC keeps going through different worlds when he advances in his cultivation. The futuristic crap is dumb.
