Late at night in the middle of my part time job at a convenience store, I had an encounter with a robber and was mercilessly stabbed to death.

As I was about to lose my consciousness, I thought about how much I wanted to do this and that when I heard a voice……

『The wish to be summoned has been confirmed. Granting Unique Skill 《Jack of all Trades, Master of None》』

Rude words such as that were said. Jack of All Trades, Master of None? Don’t screw with me!

Such thoughts and wishes were for naught as my consciousness faded, when I came too I was standing on a green foggy hill.

I am beyond satisfied with this novel and the translation quality.

The author pokes fun at the cliches of other novels/mangas/animes and both lead character are absolutely adorable. It's refreshing to see their banter and relationship improving.

But do pay attention to the slice-of-life tag, there isn't much of a grand story going on here so if you expect deep intricate plots and twists this might not be the novel for you, at least not so far.

A good novel so far, altough there is the usual element to expect about a story of this genre, there is a nice touch of realism in character progression, the relationship has been pleasently showed and altough its mainly one genre it doesn't stop it from bringuin out the complete oposite for a full enjoyment.

I'm a man who love an intense story with a lot of plot twist. But sometimes I need to rest from that kind of novel...

This is your typical isekai story. A man who go to another world and got some unique skill. The story is focus on his journey. Traveling to another town, meet a lot of new people while doing some adventurer stuff. This story doesn't have a lot conflict. Just a MC that enjoying his new life with his partner and doing some rom-com skit that make you... more>> smile (and sometime envy)

This novel is for you who want to read a relaxing adventure with less conflicts and a good waifu material elf (͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) <<less

Yes... another too good MC (according to his partner, the MC heart is too pure for this world). As long as I read the raw. There's no harem. The MC is not that OP, the unique skills is just like a tutorial for character move list in a game. And that means he can quickly adapt to any weapon and some magic.

But the story was not that great. The battle scene was not that good either.. the author admits that he still learning to create a good battle scene.

Probably the... more>> story was not that great that the Translator stop TL'ing this WN. Perhaps theres another Traslator who willing to translate this WN. <<less

The history is a deconstruction of the genre issekai. Taking a lot Topics and looks at them with a critical eye. The 2 co-stars steal all moments and they are super charismatic. This is a trip.... All history is about know the world, it has everything, moments happy, terror, melancholic... emotional.

Everyone exists to give the MC something. For example: the guard giving him money and a space pouch, the blacksmith giving him a sword, and the legendary monster enchanting his body to make him stronger for their fight after opening the path to ancient weapons. Even the hot traveling elf comes just to train and make him stronger. A book about magic and monsters is obviously not realistic, but making human actions seem somewhat real would really help this story a lot. Read when you have nothing better to read.

Honestly this novel was nice and chill, dude gets a girl and just lives his life. No problem. Its comedy is almost slapstick comedy but its still good. It has decent action but I feel like the eating scenes are over the top like most novels. All in all I had no complaints besides what I have listed in spoilers.

Spoiler

He ends up coming across literal free loot and gives it to who he knows are corrupt (guards) like the whole town. Like bruh I can understand you throwing up about killing a human being but even the girl you are with says to keep it. Idk I was really enjoying it till he says he wants to be a moral person even though he knows he lives in a kill throat type of world. Surprise surprise the guard captain is legit the one that is leading the bandits and tries to kill MC and his girl. He legit is scared about becoming a mu*der even tho the captain is trying to kill him like cmon dude. There is a limit to being so dumb. Idk besides this it was pretty nice read

The story is very simple, perhaps the most basic isekai novel I've ever read, no complicated plot and particular antagonist. But for me this simplicity is what makes this novel very special. When every other author tried to make their novel special by writing over-the-top plot, kamifuusen-sensei just stick to the basic and makes it exceptional.

The translation is extraordinary, always on time posting new chapters

this novel is truly a mastahpeece, on par with knack 2.

I know that it is not proper to review a novel only after reading 26 chapters, but there are some novels that are just not worth reading more.

It's obvious that fantasy does not follow the regular logic of reality, but it too has to follow the logic of it's own world. What ruined this novel for me is, just how easily the Beowolf just decided that it would not kill the MC anymore and then they acted like they were closer than childhood friends. This is a mark of childish... more>> writing without any sort of deep thoughts. The MC is not someone with the aura of a saint, but good people like him too easily too soon and bad people hate him just as sooner.

Well, I read the other reviews, which as usual had praised it to no end. But, in the end its just a low quality wish fulfillment novel. Not worth wasting time. <<less

I was looking forward to this because I have been craving a story that has a healthy, romantic relationship in it between the protagonist and his love, and the tags here gave me the impression that that's what i'd be reading...

Unfortunately, This story's romance is terrible, as are some other aspects.

The main characters personality has turned out to be typical weak protag most of the time. The one time that he finally does do something outside of being a tool he takes it too far in the totally opposite direction,... more>> and ruins the romance aspect for me by doing so.

He then tries to innocently explain himself in a way that is completely unbelievable... if it was real there is almost no way that his excuse would have been well received or believed... yet in the story the girl accepts it readily and also almost immediately afterwards describes his personality as being "warm and bright"... yea.. not buying it. Even if one was to believe the excuse he gives, it would only provide the reader with more reasons to pity how utterly pathetic the MC actually is.

These things aside, even for daily reasoning and casual interactions with others the MC has no common sense and he often is so completely idiotic that I'm left stunned.. only to hope that as I read on he grows... but his weak personality only seems to get worse as the story goes on. <<less

Slow start but it has quickly become by far one of my favorite JP translated novels. The story has the perfect amount of traveling from town to town, preparation for travels and interesting interactions between the main character and others in the world between combat to make the really well written battle scenes carry weight.
Spoiler

Just to run down why I like this story so much:

  • MC goes from weak to stronger and had to overcome some sort of obstacle to obtain whatever power/equipment he has. As of 154 he's about low-mid B rank adventurer, for comparison to other stories, and at this point he seems really powerful but there are stronger people out in the world that make it obvious why he's only B rank.
  • Stats exist but are barely mentioned and play less of a part in combat than MC's experience and planning
  • The main character and his party member/

have backstories, flaws, strengths and quirks that make them endearing. Sometimes they re-encounter something from their past or encounter situations that leave them shaken, but they're supported by their friends and slowly come to terms with it. By JP novel standards they're amazingly well written.

  • No harem, just
    Spoiler

one nice romantic relationship that develops naturally and isn't too cheesy. The two care for each other, will vocalize it and are even physically intimate but they don't act like anime girls that are always at exhausting, unrealistic levels of giddiness when together.

    [collapse]
  • The side characters feel like their own people for the most part, not just props for the MC
  • The goal as of 154 is a bit bland (reach a destination) but there's some nice world building as they travel that makes me personally not mind.
  • No mention of a Demon Lord that I can recall despite there being a summoned hero in the world, so it doesn't seem the ultimate goal for the author is the generic 'Kill Demon Lord, save the world'. Intelligent monsters, what drives them and what makes them unique seem to be a pretty big focus for the author and I hope to see that develop into a larger plot for the MCs to sort out.

Not perfect, but pretty close IMO. Give it a shot until MC has spent some time outside of the first town and if you don't like it then it's probably not for you.

One of the best lightearted slice of life adventure novel. One of the great things about this novel is how it depicts the theme of "adventure". The protagonist and his parter journeys around the world and experiences new things while furthering their relationship with each other and other people. It is great too that the novel stays away from too much cliche. Overall its a nice read. Especially with the great romance between the male and female lead. It is worth it. Give it a shot

I hope there is 4.5, coz this one is definitely worth more than what you think.

One thing that you have to take a note about this series is that you can't expect some shallow and cliche storyline. Indeed, there isn't any particular heavy conflict thus far, but this series allows you to enjoy the world our MC reincarnated in. As the title stated, this is an adventure novel. An actual adventure for true adventurers. Both the MC and his partner are not tied to one place, they keep moving and... more>> having a journey all around the world.

MC is certainly strong, but he is by no means OP. His partner, being an Elf who has accumulated her fair share of experience in life, is still stronger than him. Along with his journey, we also learn how MC develops both his strength and character. His skill, Jack of All Trades Master of None, allows him to "efficiently use" anything he desired. However, as Master of None is stated, he does not master them, only know how to use them. He has to work hard to actually master both swords and magic.

There is NO harem. MC only has one partner, and she's one jealousy lass. She, the partner, is not only his lover but also his mentor. She is the one who teaches our MC how to fight and how to live, and how to enjoy the nightlife too.

To date, I find no particular problem with it. Definitely a good read. <<less

Honestly, this is not really that good of a series. It's kinda boring and dragged out. It's not cute or funny and the stuff just seems... there.

Spoiler

And, while this is a minor point, but in the beginning of the series, the author shows a person having a harem... for absolutely no reason... I guess to show that the MC is different or something... but.. single relations are the norm... so it was just s*upid and didn't need to be done.

Honestly, I'm feeling that the author is trying to make these series seem special.. but it's just boring. It's not that cute, it's not funny, it's not exciting... it fails as an adventure, romance and slice of life... it's just plain boring.... <<less

I´m really surprised this has a rating over 3. Its just so... empty. I managed to force myself to read to the triple digits in the hope that there would be some sort of plot, but there is nothing. Its just chapter after chapter of them traveling to some new place, meeting identically helpful people, a compulsory chapter about food, and then rinse and repeat. I don't know what is lost in translation, but if this were an English Novel, I´d assume a third grader wrote this. The only other... more>> story I can compare this to is "The Strongest sage with the weakest crest", but even that is better since it has a plot. <<less

If you are looking for an intriguing action-filled Adventure, then turn back, wou probably won't like this.

If you are looking for a Fantasy Romance Slice-of-life with no rush in the pacing (more like zero pacing), a cute couple acting like a couple that makes out and does the "thing" within 100 chapters instead of accidentally harassing the other while they're changing or something along those lines for 200 chapters then this is perfect for you.

The characters fits stereotypes but are not bank slates and feels like people you would want... more>> to hang out with.

  • The MC is a realistic character, he isn't too OP, still had to work for his achievements and it feels satisfying everytime he gets an upgrade.
  • The FML is filled with personality and is just as strong if not stronger than the MC so you won't run into damsel-in-distress arcs.
  • There are tons of side characters that they meet along their journey and they are all quite pleasant.
The worldbuilding is average but shouldn't matter if you enjoy the above.

The magic system is quite inconsistent but just like worldbuilding, shouldn't be an annoyance if you enjoy the Romance and Slice of life.

The action scenes are surprisingly well-written compared to other Fantasy Stories even though they're feel and far-between. <<less

Early chapters is quite relax and a good read for a slice-of-life. I also love the relationship between the MC and fML they're cute and sweet. I quite enjoyed the novel because of it's realism but around chapter 100, it I started to get annoyed because I realized 80% of the characters in the novel are full of crybabies and drama queens.

I hope the author lessen the s*upid drama in the story. I'm not only talking about this overly sissy MC. It's just every fu*king time they're going to leave... more>> a village or city or when parting with someone they just met- everyone cries, why are all people so overly dramatic in this novel?

• It happen many times with bunch of adult male characters who are all sniffing and crying when saying goodbye to the MC, they weren't even that close.

• There was a time when they stayed in a certain village for one night they only spent few hours with a kid but when they're saying goodbye they group-hugged each other then cried. They don't even know eachother other than their names wtf. There's nothing sad, the readers would just feel awkward reading when the characters was crying and the readers can't relate at all. • Another one is when the MC crying so much after killing a person (bandit) for the first time and the little girl who had his father killed by those bandits, rather than comforting the little girl who lost her father, the little girl is the one who's comforting the bawling MC because he can't accept that he killed a person. After that they spent less than a day with each other the little girl didn't cry much when her father died but she cried when she say goodbye to the MC whom she just met. Really?! I read this novel for it's realism but the more I read, the characters feel so f*cking fake.

So far these s*upid dramatic episodes are the only ones that annoys me so much. <<less

It is one of my best novels, it has a lot of flaws but as a light read I found it quite enjoyable. The novel is completely translated by the translator at Patreon.

The best thing about the novel is the romance, I found the interaction between the male and female lead is balanced and well made.

The protagonist character is not the best, he is a bit indecisive to the end of the novel but other than that he is acceptable.

The novel is a half slice of Life half adventure so... more>> expect a few filler chapters, I don't find them that bad. And there is a lot of chapters about food.

While the novel has a level system there's no much focus on it, sometimes there are around 50 chapters without mentioning it.

In general, it is a light-hearted read, don't binge it you may find it boring. I read it whenever I want something light. <<less

This novel is good, and it avoids several of the overused cliches and tropes from other isekais to make a decent read. The main character doesn't pursue a harem, he questions why goblins are born with swords in their hands and genocides them for iron for his own weapons, and overall has a good head on his shoulders. The translation is also quality.

However, it also has some parts that just don't really sit right with me. I expected that he'd run into some bad encounters over his "master of none"... more>> ability - nope, he's just as proficient as any other Adventurer, not substantially better or worse. He can pick up on magic a little faster than others, but otherwise hasn't really done anything that a guy who enjoys Saturday night KQED or Discovery survival documentaries couldn't do. Even the trope harassment is because he showed up to his first town completely covered in mud in a pretty pathetic state.

He's also unusually popular with people in a kinda uncomfortable away.

Spoiler

An influential guard laughs at him once in the bar about the MC's pathetic state when he came into town, and the guard immediately feels so sorry and (for some reason) indebted to him that he bows at every encounter and gives him lots of money and rare items (which the MC never repays). The MC does barely any damage against an intelligent boss-level wolf in the forest while his partner does almost all of the work, but the MC somehow gets all the credit and recognition while the partner supposedly "looks on happily". The MC gets so many cheat items and blessings that matter way more than his "jack of all trades" skill because of this weird kindness that I'm wondering if his real skill is mind control.

[collapse]

When a guild receptionist confesses to him, he completely treats her like tr*sh afterwards. He ignores her at every opportunity, doesn't even tell her that he's leaving town, and plays the "it's not you, it's me" card when he starts going out with someone else. And the girl still loves him? Another example of this weird pseudo- mind control manipulation that I can't feel comfortable with. <<less
