The concept is very entertaining, but watching her trying to get away from the ML is somewhat painful, especially since I know they'll end up together. She basically does everything possible to make him go away outside of outright saying so, and he just keeps on approaching.

I haven't finished reading but I hope really that Lu Zhen is not the ML. His obsession with her is not cute at all, their "interactions" that's just her trying to get him to leave her alone. I feel so bad for her but I already know that it's not going to end up the way I would like : (

Edit:

Finished the mtl and while they explained the reasons for Lu Zhen his behaviour I don't agree with it. Even before the imprisonment he was treating her terribly. I don't... more>> like how you're supposed to forgive and forget everything she went through just because there was a (in my opinion s*upid) reason for his actions. The story itself I enjoyed it but I would've rather that there was no romance at all and she could heal from her trauma separately. <<less

This is soon good. Super funny, very enjoyable. Esp if you have ever had a phase of reading those abusive sh*tty shoujo romance tropes of ML hurts MC because he loves her. Very refreshing!

I wanted to take a break from angst novels and finally ended up here.

Funny story, made me laugh a lot. I love how the FL solves her problems😂. I still have mixed feelings to the ML considering his actions in the past life. I can't wait to see how their relationship develops.

The FL is a hilarious breath of fresh air. She's like a seasoned green tea b*tch, but her only goal is to study and stay away from men. She uses all of her experience and her golden finger to run everyone around her as well as the plot in circles.

The ML isn't the evil yandere I was expecting. To put it simply, this man is whipped. He's so whipped you could put him on a pie or on a goddamn cross. This is the most whipped ML I've read in... more>> years. He's so damn cute. <<less

Great story. I thought this is just another novel focusing on school life of FL (Chu Yin) with cheats... but as I read further, the plot became deeper especially the explanation of their past life.

I'm glad that both leads got their own happy ending after two lifetimes. They given a well-deserved second chance after their sufferings.

Spoiler

In the past life, ML (Lu Zhen) actually can't control his attitude/character due to being the protagonist in the book... he was written as paranoid and yandere in book's character description so despite wanting to fight this unwanted disposition he can't win against the invisible rule.

Additionally, he needed to suffer in the story that's why he got f*cked up relatives making him miserable and why he was weak as 17 yo who can't protect his loved one... he was deemed as "one of the books' protagonists who suffered the most".

Fortunately, God system sympathized him and that's why he's given another chance and he wished about FL achieving what she wanted in her next life. Thus the explanation why FL (Chu Yin) was given ability to edit the book.... the effect also made him more free in this life.

I also liked FL's personality and other characters like her brother and friends. <<less

Been a while since I read a school romance and I'm glad I stumbled upon this. Although this story has some plot holes and rough patches here and there, the story is good all in all. It has comedy, learning, romance, and intrigue. Reading this with a light heart is the way to go.

So I didn't fully read the extra so I don't know if my dissatisfaction is actually solved there cause extra 1&2 already making me wanna barf at how they completely stuck ML and FL's character to handsome CEO and tsundere nerd stereotype. Plus, it's just hard for me to bring up curiosity on what happened after the system is gone.

Among other things, I'm a bit disappointed that they didn't give me the dilemma I was expecting. Like finding out you are characters in a book, driven by plot, with your fate, self, feelings decided by the author, why was there no identity crisis even just a little? I mean, ML fell in love at first sight for both lives because that is how it was written and FL fell unconditionally because that's her role, would they not question how real those feelings were? They were freed in the end but the previous plot and stuff decided by the author is still in effect. That's why I just can't get into their romance and I can't understand it at all, it seems so fake.

This book is just too funny. I love all the script editing FL does and the chaos that ensures. I picked this up on a whim and couldn't put it down!

This is quite a boring story. MC is overly capable and apart from the very cliche brother is the best family member troupe there is no lovable character. ML is obviously the same guy who tourchered her and there is literally no excuse or even effort author put so ML would be lovable.

This is so funny! I had been avoiding this one for a while because after reading the description I realized the ML was still the same, I didn't want her to give a second chance to the ML after he ruined her in her past life. But I was bored and everyone raved about this so I gave it a chance and this is actually really good, it's funny.

I know they will make up some reason why he behaved that way and make them get together but this is still... more>> worth reading for the sake of the laughs. I laughed a lot lmaooo.

But honestly the FL acts a bit dumb sometimes, she's supposed to avoid the ML but it's just as if the author were forcing this ship and lowering her braincells in those situations. Like the time
Spoiler

she gifted him cookies, or when he was outside of her house and she went with him, the reasoning was so dumb.

Ah but seriously, it's so so so funny, I still reminisce about certain hilarious scene. I just find that scene sooo funny, it's my favorite novel scene. It's so funny.

Spoiler

The snake dance, I even like the villainous fake sister just because she's made me laugh so much. I sing The Coasters' Little Egypt in my mind while thinking about the scene. Ahhhh it's so funny. She let her hair down and she did the hoochie koochie real sloooow... Ok gysuhia I'm just making it funnier to myself but when I read that scene I just couldn't help but think of that song because it reminded me of she crawls on her belly like a reptile.

Ah but really... that sister has made me laugh so much I find her a bit lovely, like when she brags about her marriage contract lmaoooo. I hope she doesn't have a bleak ending, she's made me laugh too much. I mean, it's not as if she danced on purpose but still, , just for being the protagonist of that scene I like her.

[collapse]

I tried MTLing and could understand but realized I hadn't been crying of laughter so either those episodes weren't as funny or I wasn't understanding as much as I thought I did, anyway I'd recommend just reading the translation, it's so funny. <<less

Edit: completed mtl.. And its a happy ending.. Good story. ML and FL had a really tough time in their past life. Good for them to get a chance again.

Really funny story with a fresh concept. The female lead is refreshingly independent with strong personality.

The male lead and her interactions are really comedic. Seems to me that she might have had some misunderstandings about the ML in her past life as he doesn't exactly seem like a bad person other than being infatuated with FL.

Looking forward to more of the... more>> FL's antics. <<less

This is truly gold! So far the story is light and hilarious. I really enjoy this novel, so different with the rest of transmigration story, every time the story turn towards "standard/cliche" romance novel plot, the author never fail to follow up with surprising move. Good job to author and translator.

I was hesitant because I like yandere ML but not to the point of stockholm/super-forced.

ML in first version is a possessive yandere to the point of smothering FL vitality but I accept the later explanation and context combined with his redemption arc.

Current version ML is possessive but more in the behind - the - scenes way. I do think that their transcending romance is a great read.

FL is compotent and composed which I love.

Actually, this story has been in my reading list for a long long time.

I started reading a few chapters but couldn't continue, because even though there is comedy, the plot seems too dog-blooded for me.

ML was portrayed to be a yandere who instilled fear and hatred within the FL. He was her enemy from the get go. And this abusive trait (be it physical, mental or emotional) doesn't really give points to the ML.

[collapse]

But then, when reading, I was always reminding myself to not judge until you know the whole story. I guess this was what kept me going.

Spoiler

FL didn't know the whole story, and even at times, she was scared to find out the truth. And so, ML is the most pitiful character in the story. He got what he deserves, in a way (he was abusive, and he got abused tenfold). And redemption was also given to both him and the FL.

[collapse]

Anyway, I'm glad that I finally get to finish it. I nearly gave up again in the middle. Near the end, everything seems to fit right in, and made me cried buckets of tears. Author had a very good plot written for this story. So happy with the HE~^^ <<less

First of all, this novel is HILARIOUS. I had so much fun while reading this.

The story is interesting from the get go. It's comedic with some drama and twist which I think is kinda rare to find (at least for me). FL is likeable. Although mary sue, I don't find her boring or annoying, instead she's so funny with her creative thinking HAHA. She really got me laughing on the floor. And as for the ML, I was kinda worried at first, but fortunately, the plot doesn't disappoint me. Some... more>> parts are questionable and might feel a bit dragging but it's not enough to stop me giving this 5 stars.

Thank you author and translator for the good story. <<less

Our ML is the milk dog type of yandere. MC is a freaking cute and funny MC. Most of the characters is lovable and they all have their own character depth even the villains are funny. I really like the plot and the ending. No tragedy, full of sweet and funny moments. Definitely recommend this.

A lot of people seem torn about the ML on this novel, but I found the explanation for why more than satisfying.

Spoiler

I think if you look at the empathy she has for him, and the fact that her feeling only change from doubt after his explanation of his own experiences, I don't feel cheated. He explains how much he was controlled by his character model (which she strongly empathizes with), he explains why he was/is paranoid (how dangerous his uncle is, what said uncle did to his mother, as well as what she witnessed herself), and she witnessed what he was like without those factors.

Then there's fact that it was only when she began to see him acting completely differently (aka after his dreams) that she started to have doubts (for instance the power outage).

[collapse]

And while I understand how many readers could never forgive him, it makes sense to me that she did. So please consider that. If it isn't your cup of tea, that's fine, however, I don't think it deserves bad scores. The writing is consistent, I couldn't help but laugh multiple times, and the translation is well done (good job translator!). Happy reading, friends~ :) <<less
