As the second cannon fodder in a fairy tale, Pei Yu was disappointed, used, pushed down to the Ten Thousand Demons Cave, and reduced to a mortal and a ghost.

In the end, she finally demonized, returned from the Yellow Springs, and got revenge on all those who wronged her.

After coming back to life, Pei Yu just wanted to be a villain quietly, and by the way, protect her own disused master who laughed harmlessly.

…Well, wait! Master, how did you become the strongest sword cultivator? Aren’t you a waste?

Huai Bai wore a book of fairy tales. The book is not a serious book, the male lead and the female lead are awesome, only the second female is the virg*n Mary.

And she became the second female’s master, and at the beginning of the story she died with nothing left.

Pointing to the fact that there are still hundreds of years from the beginning of the plot, she decided to practice hard first to become a thigh, and by the way, help the little apprentice to correct the problems of others.

Hey? Why is this little apprentice different from the book?

Pei, Ruthless, Yu: Master is a waste, I must protect her!

Huai, Strongest Sword Cultivator, Bai: The apprentice is a virg*n Mary, I must educate her well!

Crowd, eating melons: Two full-level bosses team up to abuse vegetables, who can survive this?

Pei Yu originally thought that after a new life, the worst would be the end at the Thousand Demons Cave.

But she never thought that there would be someone who opened her hands to her after she was covered with scars after the calamity.

She smiled and said, “Hey, I’ll spoil you.”

Hello, translator here! I MTL'ed this a few months ago and the setting and plot for this story really got me invested in this world.

It's a xianxia cultivation setting and both the MC and FL are reborn after their deaths in the original timeline. Neither of them know the other is reborn, and both of them want to protect/spoil each other with their newfound strength this time around.

That's just the set up, the actual plot was full of action and drama involving a lot of mystery that was slowly revealed... more>> throughout the story. Look out for stuff about the blood mist and there's some time f*ckery that goes on with both of them and a plot twist that high-key broke my heart while I was reading.

There's a lot of romance with the MC and FL's entanglements with each other, but there's a lot of angst involving them so don't expect this to be a sweet story. One thing is for certain though, they both love each other very much.

I really recommend this story to anyone who likes a fully fleshed out plot that connects the beginning and end in a way that will make you go "OHHHH MY GOD???" when you get to the end. It's also a really nice xianxia cultivation novel with a kind of love that spans through the years. <<less

Initially read it with a light heart, thinking that an author writing the book transmigrated to her hated web novel 300 years before the MC is 'born'. The MC is reincarnated after going through the bad ending that the author 'has written' for her.

Everyone has a good side and a bad side. It takes a single thought to be good or become the devil. So what happens when the good part of the MC dies? Well, the devil comes out to play~

It touches on some topics of Buddhism like 'The... more>> Spider's Threads'.

Spoiler

Mild spoiler: Since the Female Lead has transmigrated 300 years ago, wouldn't it made sense for her to be a greenhorn in the cultivation world and fell in love with someone she shouldn't have in the first place? Especially the one that became mad and filled with despair when she found out she was stuck in an 'endless' loop?

[collapse]

The author did a half-baked job of pulling one on me with a plot twist... It made me drop the novel when I was only 10+ chapters away from finishing it and questioned life. Communication is really important, especially in relationships hahaha. <<less

I recommend reading this as I feel like this has a great potential. It actually has a bit similar vibe to Scum Villain's Self-Saving System. I don't really have any new things to say as the translator's review said it all. So I'll talk about the translation.

The translation is as it says. Its MTL. There are a lot of awkward wording and sentences. Plus, since the setting is ancient times, it more confusing than normal. Do I understand the translation? Well, no, but actually yes. But it can be seen... more>> the translator worked really hard. Though the meanings are confusing, the sentences are mostly grammatically correct. If you use your brain, you'll understand 80% of it. For the extra confusing 10%, there's tl notes to help you understand which I really appreciate. For the rest of the 10%, you can guess it. If you didn't need to, then it wouldn't be MTL. And, as the story progresses, the translation also improves a lot. From ch1 to ch21, I already see a lot of improvement. Maybe it will become fluent translation by the end of the novel. I'll rate this translation 7.8/10 (5.8 for tl+2 for tl notes and the effort behind it). The translator is a little angel. <<less

The set up and premise was good but the execution is just terrible. If so many people are confused by the first chapter then you've got a problem. The problem is that this story is written as if it's a movie and the author thinks people can just pick up on visual cues that are completely nonexistent in a literary format. The writing is so chaotic and scenes jump from one to the next without any sort of proper transition. This throws off the pacing wildly. The first 40ish chapters... more>> are a slog and the MC is still a child. There is just so much exposition at once and random characters appearing and giving us info dumps. This is a very obvious example of tell and not show which is just exhausting to read and makes everything uninteresting. <<less

It was interesting? In the beginning at least. The description has nothing on the actual plot, which I found to be rather convoluted and not at all as lighthearted as it was made out to be. The main character and her master have a deep, complicated, and sometimes unhealthy relationship
Spoiler

that is actually quite toxic when referring to the 300 years ago split personality of the MC and her master.

The plot kind of hurts me. It's not poorly written, but it's bloody, for a lack of a better description. The pacing of the story is also a bit strange and you can't really tell when time skips happen. I lost interest and speed read after the first half because the plot was just not what I cared for and came off often as somewhat bland, despite initially having a good background setup for mystery.

The pacing is very slow and its just boring. Its just backstory- MC feels bad about things she did, more backstory, rinse repeat. Now she just keeps getting all depressed and angsty about mu*dering some irrelevant no name npcs and its just so out of character for her. Often in self defense too! I came expecting ruthless mu*dery power bottom, not this.

Of a lesser importance, FL isn't some random reader, she is an author of original book which is just always unnecessary and pointless.

tragic, heartbreaking, beautiful.. I don't know how to describe this beautiful and tragic story 😭

Spoiler

at first, I thought that Pei yu's alter personality, Ming luan was horrible for what she did... killing Huaibai's closest friends, massacred cities, causing the dragon clan to nearly go extint... then after reading about Pei yu's suffering to save Gushan, her begging every sect and clans to help her, including Huabai's closest friends and the dragon clan.. yet only received mocking or indifference and slight pity... the worse for me was the dragon clan, they truly deserved to be annihilated... so it was reasonable for Ming luan to destroy the entire dragon clan and the others... they all deserved it imo.

I can't blame her at all for the cruel things she did.

[collapse]

And there's the final 'villain' 😭

Spoiler

She don't deserved to be a villain.

The final villain was Pei Yu's half sister, Liu Huangu who shared the same father, her adoptive father was framed and labeled as a demon, so she was bullied all her life (about almost 100 years).. her ending is tragic and unfair, there's also another demon subordinate who was originally a lake goddess.. she didn't have a good end either, when all she wanted was her lake back.

The novel shows that it was the humans who are evil, yet I can't help but feel that it was the heavens that is unjust.

I wish the author could add another chapter for liu huangu and ji yue's happy ending since almost everyone who died got reincarnated back in the novel.😭
