This is utter garbage and a waste of time.

The MC dies and reincarnates in a world where the ratio of men to women is 1/20 and where males get treated like gods by the world there and if you think that's weird we haven't scratched the surface. In this world all men are for a lack of better term a**holes they treat every woman horribly to the point that that even the MC before he regained his past life memories never called his mother "MOM" and what's even weirder is... more>> that you as a reader begin to find the act of the males justified, why you ask well this bring me to the worst part about this novel. In a harem novel what carries the story is the distinctive personality of each female, thus why we see "Shipping Wars" but in this novel you don't have to worry about that because each female has the same personality they all gush over the MC just because he greeted them, they all are described as "Beautiful", and they all are h**ny to the point where each time a female see's the MC which is in middle school btw they all want to "attack" him.

Well I can go on more about how horrible this is but you get the point rant over lol <<less

tr*sh, that sums up the novel.

MC is one dimensional, wears women’s clothing and has no personality what so ever. Feels like the Author accidentally made the MC a He because MC obviously acts like a woman.

Characters, Pretty one dimensional, all fawning over MC with no different traits to differentiate between them.

... more>> World building: None whatsoever.

All throughout the chapters I’ve read the plot has no progressed at all. What interesting concepts was in the novel like Super Arts or something with fighting is only showed once and not mentioned again but instead a boring student council is shown and forces MC to join.

Cross dressing makes no sense and it’s weird how a MC who lived on Earth is ok and doesn’t mind wearing a dress with female accessories, it’s sh*t taste by the author who tried to write a novel with female protagonists but realized no one would read their sh*t so they switched to male yet it’s still shit. <<less

The translation is not great. It's good, but there are grammatical errors of about 2 or more letters in each paragraph that can be easily improved. It is still readable and you can enjoy it without nitpicking those little things though.

About the story, it's comedy and it was great. I read these without looking at the synopsis and tags and I thought, "wait, this is a henti plot isn't it". Parallel isekai'd to a world where m-f ratio is super low and men are given preferential treatment. Yep, it's a... more>> henti plot. So I continued reading while thinking of those but apparently, this was a comedy. And the MC is not clapping cheeks every now and then. He uses his privilege too but doesn't go overboard with it. Definitely not a pe*verted or some bullied MC lol. So reading little into these, I definitely did have a great few laughs and I would definitely read its LN too if it's ever translated.

Overall, it's a "henti plot, but it's a JP harem comedy with a likeable mc" novel. <<less

This is a slice of life, the chapters a short, the translation is great, and it is slow at this point. Its enjoyable in the since where you just have to read it and dont think too hard about what is happening.

This is a world where the author has put the gender ratio to 1-20. The males are thinking that they are special, the females dont have a chance to see or even talk to males. Its a great slow life in a world where males have a almost God... more>> like social power.

The chapters are short, so the translator is having a easier time to translate, and publish them quickly. So the chapters are top quality. <<less

I was expecting this would be another 'The World of Otome Games is Tough For Mobs' and a good World-Reversal novel. I was wrong!!!

MC: Is a pretty normal dude. I enjoyed his humor but - 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐚 "𝐒𝐞𝐱𝐲 𝐁𝐢𝐠 𝐒𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫" 𝐢𝐧 𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦. 𝐍𝐨𝐭 𝐚 𝐈𝐤𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐒𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬. Which gets really cringey at times.

Spoiler

The way he reveals his cleavage like big breasted girl or lifts up his skirt. Says it all.

I was expecting a devilishly handsome dude blowing girls minds away but instead, we get girls with low self-esteem who're thirsty and male worshippers. I was expecting them to put up a fight at least..

[collapse]
It's not a good World-Reversal story..

Romance: Minori and Mishima are the best girls (There's actually character development for them) However most of the other girls are superficial and not well-fleshed.

Spoiler

Flaws: He invited his 'Cute girly Kouhai' *Cough* only male friend to a gathering of girls. If MC wanted to make his relationship last with his only guy friend he should at least get his life sh*t prioritized, MC clearly knows he's gay and hates women yet he expects politeness out of him when it's the norm in this world!!

He applies common sense from Earth a lot which does get frustrating since he doesn't realize how BAD it really is. He sees women as harmless pretty girls and ignores their mentality of thirsty girls willing to r*pe and obsessive lengths.

[collapse]

Of course this is only my judgement out of the WN. I'm curious about LN since those girls on the Cover hardly have presence in the story but maybe they're more fleshed out in LN?? If so, then dam that sucks! Well, given it's a WN I can't blame it, Maybe the characters have a stronger presence? Who knows? <<less

It's a pretty entertaining story so far. It's a slice of life story, but it gives you a look into a world where the gender ratio is heavily skewed.

Detail-wise, it definitely has some points that I had not thought of, like dress code and behavior. The MC explains the oddities often, so you're not lost.

Character-wise, the women are kind of nuts. It's funny and rambunctious so it's hard to get bored by their over the top behavior. That being said, they are kind of nuts. So expect a story where... more>> your suspension of disbelief is strained and the only thing keeping you from dropping the story is your sense of humor.

Speed-wise, it's kind of slow. Up until chapter 18, we've basically been introduced to the MC as well as his mother. There are a few side characters that show up to help build the world, but I get the feeling that only one of them will be a female lead, the bodyguard. I don't mind the slow speed much as the chapters are short. But I feel that we might not get to the real start of the story until 10 chapters later. <<less

I don't see how other people can tolerate or even praise this translation quality. It feels like there are at least two grammatical errors for every sentence.

I'll check this again when I've run out of things to read or in hope of a better quality by that time, but I can't be bothered to fix the grammar in my head the whole time in order to actually understand what's going on.

Sadly I haven't gotten far enough to actually comment on the novel which is why I'll withhold any rating for... more>> the time being, but in light of the other reviews here I felt that this needed to be said. <<less

interesting plot but go in boring direction

Spoiler

at first I think that story will go along with MC who try to improve himself and people that impressed with his achievement but after I read this far MC only act nice to girls but do nothing himself (he may do general work in some group but not much about self improvement) in study he has good brain from start and in sport since males in that world are born like sheltered flower so it's quite disappointed because MC could easily win against them

so mostly story is about how MC acts nice to girls and how much effect he is to their lives while he improves his relationship with them

Hmm... The story ain't bad (although the translation is so horrible that it barely beats Machine Translation tbh - I legitimately 'actively filter-translated' every single sentence of this story in order to make sense of it, not exaggerating), but it's also not that complex or thoroughly-written either.

I read this because I wanted some "junk food" entertainment (and I just came off of LTBE/Little Tyrant doesn't want a Bad Ending, so I wanted something 'easy'), so I had no expectations for this besides scratching that itch of a totally preposterous power... more>> fantasy/comedy. For that reason, I was actually kinda satisfied with this story. However, I'd be kidding myself if I called it 'good'.

Pros:

-easy to read & follow (... besides the terrible translation, but I guess you get used to it real fast when it's every word instead of just occasionally)

-simple story-building & easy to imagine and appreciate

-kinda a unique approach to a harem world (he's the equivalent of a sexy man-slaying chick who's obviously exploitive from a distant perspective)

-world-concept may be a 1-trick pony, but it's the same charm as an erot*c media setting/context in that you are drawn to imagine 'exactly' the mere fun parts without much effort

-the comedy preys on our sensibilities from reality, making it pretty simple to appreciate

-the story is very fast-paced and barely ever gets bogged down in the details or gets between what we're anxiously expecting to happen—but also without compromising the delivery of events. That's kinda impressive when you're expecting 'tr*sh'

Cons:

-because there isn't much complexity or depth to the story, the author's "opinions" occasionally shine through & they can sometimes contradict our expectations of the protagonist/MC. It doesn't happen often at all & it seems more like an accident than intentional flaunting, but what do you expect from such 'low hanging fruit' novels?

-similarly to the above: whilst the concept of the story's setting involves reversing our sensibilities (particularly involving gender-norms), there are the occasional 'screw-ups' by the author as they seem conflicted between 'consistency of Sensibility-Reversing logic' (ie the formula for maintaining logic in the reversing/replacing of our societal preconceptions & roles), v.s. 'maintaining a pleasant, subjective Power-Fantasy'. Metaphorically, it'd be like an admin artificially manipulating the results of an algorithmic AI to suit their tastes.
-the female characters are mostly fun, but the setup is kept reasonably shallow by the typical confines of the "harem-comedy infinity", I call it. It's not that there isn't any progress in the female-male relations, but the female characters so far are too simple to imagine them ever having any complex emotions for time immemorial... As a result, it's not as satisfying to see or imagine our Cpt. Self-Insert making progress with literally any of them.
-Slightly a Side-Note, the descriptions of the female characters are symbolic of their personalities: unfathomably & uselessly unfulfilling. They're all mostly fobbed-off as "beautiful" along with a mention of their hair-colour & an extremely brief mention of our MC's subjective first-impressions of them. "Angel", "Noble Miss",... "girl from The Ring" (lol, actually one of the better descriptions despite how different their LN illustrations were). Incidentally, like I just said, there's LN illustrations for most of the characters, so this isn't the biggest issue—but what still IS an issue, as I was implicitly suggesting, is the fact that it's nigh-impossible to form your own image or impression of these characters based off of all the lacking "personalities". Although I never said that the characters were 'tropey', I did however 'imagine' each of these characters through prior tropes I've been familiar with - some I was 'dead-accurate' in how I imagined (disgustingly so, even), and the rest were just poorly described despite being copy/pastes (ripoffs) of other popular anime characters.
-though this ain't a big complaint: going off that last thing I said, there's a bit of incongruity between what you'd expect the characters to look & behave like, and what they turn out being like. This could just be a personal thing (for me), but I somewhat expect everyone to have a similar-but-unique experience with this story due to how it's easy to put your expectations above what the author ends up settling for. The reason for this is simple but two-fold: firstly, the author starts off the novel by laying out 'specific justifications' for certain "anime-fixations" like Pink or Green hair-colours in the populace, and so we're told to preconceive for a 'real-world equivalent' story-setting. We get a tonne of justifications & explanations for the psychological differences of this new world's humans/women (lol, they ARE the majority by far here though) in COMPARISON to our OWN world; so when these peoples start looking and behaving more & more like copies of anime characters, there's a decent degree of incongruity & confusion over 'which setups/rules take precedence'. Are they anime characters or are they real human females? And are these discrepancies because of poor writing or, conversely, by design?

Secondly, the author builds up the expectations of the world waaaay beyond the scope of both A) their plans for the series, & B) the capability of their writing skills. As a result, the story definitely feels "amateurish", but this should only be a Deal-Breaker for you if you're, somehow, disillusioned about Japanese harem novels & the premise of this story, lmao.

———Conclusion———
I dunno, 3/5 cos the garbage tickled that itch whilst only mildly-infuriating me. Heck, I'd even say it was less than 'mildly', frankly, since it's very-recently that most of the above issues propped up, so it all could easily be redeemed in the future (and I'm only just-over halfway through the translated material, to be fair). I'll probably come back to continue reading this the next time I want to brainlessly relax or cheer myself up—and that's all I ever asked from it! <<less

Great and fun story. Even though main idea in the story is that there are way more females in the world it's NOT mind numbing harem where everyone likes MC for no f reason. I would even say that MC interactions with other males is more important. Also while there is character growth it's not as obvious and straight forward like 'dude spent 2 years in training and now he is op'. You will feel changes from interaction, dialogues and thought process.

It's a comedy in a fresh relatively logical world.... more>> Romantics and harem here are set aside. Enjoy interesting world and rather unique MC <<less

Very straightforward, basically protagonist still can't shake off his past habits and make him look like a very nice boy.

What's with the translation?, sometimes I notice grammatical errors and just make me think it was MLT'D then it was not even edited, I'm quite unsatisfied and it broke my immersion several timds 😐

But I do love the wholesome lightheartedness, it's one of the most basic romance, aka highschool nice boy and JK's

I have a soft spot for these kinds of basic stories so long as it doesn't make the main... more>> character look like a dunce.

Either way I'm upset at the translation 😑 <<less

This novel is really amazing than I originally thought. Has a unique building of characters and NC isn't that much beta but still he is a ' BETA ' adult.

The Heroines are not that bad but not good either. I would depend on the author's skill that how much he/she can write and build the characters. For me I don't hate though.

This novel is good if you're used to reading a lot of 'Rocom '.

But I, myself enjoyed this novel a lot ' a lot '.

The premise isn't bad. It gives both the protagonist and the love interests agency: the protagonist wants to pick up chicks, and the chicks want to pick up him. Naively, I thought that this would provide the characters with the impetus that's often missing in romcoms. I thought that the characters would have desires and act on them to move the plot forward, rather than relying on random happenstance and fateful events to randomly happen.

Unfortunately the execution of this novel is terrible. There are for the most part only three... more>> characters in this book: the male lead; the woman; and the other man. All female characters have essentially the same personality (with a few exceptions, like the MC's mother and her writer friend), and all male characters except the lead have the same personality.

The female character is h**ny, but also cowardly, and unable to even attempt to understand what whatever guy she likes might actually want her to do to increase her favorability. She has continuous ban*l fantasies and mostly fails to act on them. She tries desperately to please men but not in any way that actually helps, and she fails to realize that whatever she's doing is not working. She cannot understand the motivations or feelings of men.

... which is just as well, because the men don't have any of those things. The non-main male characters are uniformly misogynistic prideful a**holes. Sometimes also gay. Even if you like laughing at gay men, I expect this will get old for you by the fifth character or so.

The male lead goes in trying to increase how much women like him by being flirty but mostly just by not being a huge prick to them all the time. In this, he succeeds, and obviously succeeds to the reader and also to him, by maybe the fifth chapter. Then for the next three hundred chapters he fails to actually act on this in any way whatsoever. Dude's got like, literally fifty women, a dozen of them named, who obviously desperately want him, and he just... doesn't do anything? He doesn't even express dislike of them, or apathy, or confusion, or any of the other emotions even the densest harem protagonist does. He just does nothing. Nobody does anything.

One of the other reviews mentions The World of Moral Reversal, which has a similar premise to this novel (especially in the original version, which is about a man being dropped into a world of sexually dominant women). That comic is actual p*rnography, explicit in the original version, even. Despite that it's far more interesting than this novel in the non-p*rnographic aspects of plot, characterization, you name it. <<less

I'm not here to rate the Broken English translation. As someone who has many international friends, the grammatical errors often feel like I'm reading someone who taught themselves, so to me it often feels cute to read.

The webnovel story itself is a parody of Nice Guys to me. The guy is merely kind and smiles, and he immediately becomes Prime Husband Material, 5☆ Gacha SSSSSSSR or whatever. It's something that, unfortunately, many men in reality believe, and this just takes it to the extreme.

The actual published version, however, is different... more>> enough in effect to warrant a purchase. There's less characters but a little more depth. There's no world-building in either of them but I've seen worse stories with worse translations have higher ratings anyway.

It's worth the ¥800 price tag for the art and extra changes anyway. The webnovel, like all of them, feels like the rough draft, and the published version is the revision with an editor.

I highly suggest that someone translates the published version because the changes are for the best. <<less

some even like your typical neet shut in wn writer

[collapse]
. Some are actually nice and you can relate them to be the boys. Since Male is actually a rare breed here, of course you boys gonna giggle when you read it.

I like the fact that the MC is cute (instead of masculine alpha male approach) on that world standard and had to wear skirt because male is so rare that pant isn't part of uniform. That's some femboy on girl action over here. (Why LN, why!!I love me some femboi. If this is the LN I'll give it 4. But since it the WN it's good)

If you think of it in our typical world standard. The MC used to behave like a typical a cold-type rich female lead of a school life shonen stories that see other guys as tr*sh. But then MC become like class mascot kind girl that will cheer you on sports day. Try to imagine that while reading it. But with boy MC and you'll understand why the girls want to work hard just to be the same class as him.

Another thing I like is that with the gender role switch and male is rare, the school of all boys is filled with boys looking for some BL action (imagine all girl school with high percentage of yuri). Wwwwww

I like gender role switched kind of story like this but most of them filled with s*x and wish fulfillment story. But I like this because it wholesome and doesn't fall into that. I hope. <<less

It's a funny and light hearted novel.

MC travels to a parallel dimension where men are sarce, everyone wears skirts and he has no issues. (Apart from stalkers)

Translation is really good, chapters are long enough while not being too drawn out.
