As a newborn vampire, Luo ZhouZhou’s instincts are ingrained in his genes making him embark on a constant lifelong quest for a matching mate. His mate’s blood must be warm and sweet, with the scent of red caltrop fruit. However, after almost twenty years of searching without any luck, Luo ZhouZhou felt himself withering away until he traveled to an unknown time and space.

Getting accustomed to his new human life (not human, vam-pi-re!) is far from easy, but when he ends up at the office of the Bayard district’s police station, he finally finds the smell he has been searching for all this time.

Only a whiff and I know he’s the mate I’ve been looking for!

In a strange place with pheromones and secondary genders, the naive Luo ZhouZhou, who knows nothing about the workings of this ABO world, has to find the owner of that scent. And there’s also an omega killer on the loose!

This is a very good, tightly plotted, funny, sweet and exciting story. Well worth the read! It's awesome to see the MC and ML have an equal partnership in the relationship. One does have his ditzy traits and the other is very sneaky, but they are both powerful men who listen to each other. THAT especially was really refreshing. When ML gave a reasonable explanation for precautions, the MC listened. They worked together to solve problems and comforted each other.

Also, as another reviewer pointed out, you really cannot judge this... more>> just by the first few chapters.

Did I mention that the novel is also a great mu*der/mystery story too? Tossing out little hints each chapter but not giving away the big picture until nearly the end and some great action sequences! I haven't seen many of these in the omegaverse.

A surprisingly very good read. I wouldn't listen to reviews with under 40 ish chapters read, honestly, because its quality only shines through as you read more. This is because the novel is fundamentally a very well executed trope-y and cliche work and that's where its strength lies (and you really can't tell how well it's executed unless you go further).

- The MC is the naive, innocent, and impulsive type. Not everyone's cup of tea but frankly one of the best/better iterations of that type I've seen. Mainly because he... more>> is actually badass (later) and somewhat capable of learning from mistakes and a very willing and eagerly consenting partner in an equal romance. Note: you may get frustrated with the MC at a few points but frankly speaking you kind of get your face slapped because he was right all along in a sense 🤷🏻‍♀️

- the story is more complex than the abstract and the first 20 chapters would indicate and it has a well executed, tightly developed storyline with a small twist that really elevates it

- the ML is fantastic. The cold military whatever type we all love but actually very sweet, gentle and doting (but not domineering)

- the romance develops in a very wholesome and natural manner.

Unlike other novels, it doesn't feel like the storyline was built to complement the romance, nor the other way around. Both the storyline and the romance work with each other very naturally and that's what makes it very compelling but also a tightly developed novel.

5 stars - not for being groundbreaking or innovative but for being a warm, fluffy, well done trope. <<less

Honestly speaking, I rarely giving such a bad rating to a story. But well, this one surprisingly did.

Times to times it made me feeling frustrated and suffocated. The main point is plot hole about MC character. How can a vampire whom pretty much living for an eternity be such du#bass?? At least please give him some sense for adapting himself in new environment. And stop being obsessed over vampire when he's obviously reborn into a new super normal human 😅

the mc's personality was kinda off putting for me mid reading and I got some sort of sec hand embarrassment from it that it made me want to stop reading but I'm glad I didn't.

A very warm beautiful relationship between MC and ML, as well as the sinister plot, 1000/5

Just so good!!

I particularly loved the way MC and ML got together, it's like no "i like you" no "i love you". They always speaks with actions. Their fond for each other even in life and death situations made me cry. They are very adorable couple.

The sinister plot is also good to read, not so suspense, cause we can guess the main villains. But this is a very different BL whether in terms of their... more>> relationship or in terms of plot of most BL novels, this is so good.

The low ratings are mostly from the ones who doesn't complete even the first half of the story. And I love MC's innocence, don't you all find it cute? When he put stickers to mark his presence, ahh my heart was melting. He is really not an omega by mind, so you can understand him. And when you think you are an omnipotent vampire, suddenly you became a weak Omega with no powers, who will not panic? I felt sad for MC's helplessness cause noone believed him. Atleast ML pretended to believe him (accepted it as MC's personality) and made him feel better. You won't regret it for sure!! <<less

THIS!! NEEDS!! A!! HIGHER!! RATING!!

First if all, I love love LOVEE the unique concept of "transmigration" of MC which will be explained in the near end of the story. It's understandable that some people may not like the MC from the start BUT!!! JUST TAKE YOUR TIME READING IT AND IT WILL ALL BE OKAY IN THE END I PROMISE YOU IT'S WORTH IT!!!

I know it's too early to write a review, but the MC is so annoying 🙄. Like it's fine if you are naive or nervous or don't have self awareness. Like you are a vampire and so it's fine if your brain circuit is not like that of human. But awareness? Come on, even a snail or an earthworm has it. People around him are talking about him being omega and stuff related to that, but his mind is simply deleting out those sentences before even it reaches his brain... more>> through ears. No awareness at all, it would still have been fine if he had amnesia or was gullible and acting like that.

To be frank, I have been subconsciously avoiding checking this novel out due to the petite and irksome character of MC drawn on the cover page. It is actually matching the s*upid and weirdo character of MC very well. And when I finally went against my displeasure to try reading it, I am not surprised as the cover page gave off the same vibes as that of MC in the novel <<less

Okay so this is actually very hard to rate!!! The beginning was... painful. So painful. If you get secondhand embarrassment well... May the force be with you up until chapter like..... 15 or so. After that, I absolutely loved this ride. Super cute story with a well-done plot with no huge plotholes that stuck out to me. I do wish I had an answer about the Methuselah thing but the mystery works for the plotline and the story so I'm not mad about it.

feel really bad for the General and Linda. Looking back at how our MC treats them in the beginning? Ouch! Imagine trying to break a "spell" on your kid only to have it completely backfire like that. I want to go into it more but I don't feel comfortable doing that even in spoiler tags.

The bit about ML's parents seems a little.... slapped on. But that's not bad just more that it feels unnecessary to the plot as a whole. It really could have been worked into the plotline and added to it. But I totally get adding something like that last minute and not wanting to go back and weave yet ANOTHER thread into your entire plotline.

Attitudes of our MC and ML? MC is a bit of an as*hole at first in hindsight. Ok more than a bit. But he rapidly improves and he has a good reason (severe memory loss). ML acts cold but never crosses any lines with the MC. He manages to scratch that domineering alpha itch without being a r*pey assole and being an actually three dimensional personality so... kudos. That's rare. <<less

I would like to say that don't stop from reading this just because of some not so good reviews those people clearly didn't read the full story smh because I stall from reading this novel so long and now that I've finished I LOVED IT 😍 its such a fresh take on transmigration idk how to explain it, I really loved some scenes it felt like I was watching a movie heheh loved the pace its not slow not too fast either just right to keep you wanting to read... more>> more, loved mc's parents and ofcourse our main couple they were adorable and it would've been a regret to not read this. I can’t be the only one who thought this was just some non-sensical fluff novel written by some chuuni author based on the lame name and picture, right? Oh boi, I was so wrong!

I just picked this up to munch on some fluff and thought this would be an average novel and my conjecture was further made firm when I saw the MC acting silly in the first few chapters. But oh man, it started getting real all of a sudden!It got better and better and it turned out I... more>> was reading an action mystery novel (lol I really didn’t read the genres before picking this up). The mystery was done spectacularly! Nothing groundbreakin to make you lose your marbles but still great, regardless! I had a lot of questions as I went on reading, made a lot of theories and suspected everyone. And the answers when given were super satisfying! And MC’s behaviour was cleared up too! So mystery lovers, gather around! This is your cup of tea!

But its not like there was no fluff, the story was managed neatly! It was 50% romance and 50% mystery more or less. And the fluff didn’t disappoint! The ML was such a gentleman! I always loved his interactions with the MC where he teased him and then coaxed him! Giving him candies and praising him whenever the MC wanted it. MC even tho was a cutie but he wasn’t a blushy, naive and dumb cutie! He was blunt, forward with his affection lol no wonder the ML fell for him. And he was freakin BADASS!!! I’ll just mention it in the spoilers

I didn’t like him much when he was acting like a domesticated cutie and was reckless a lot of times too after knowing he was an omega but after his struggle was revealed that he had no choice but to be weak since he was no longer a vampire, I really felt so sad for him. He was reckless in a lot of situations but can he be blamed? He was used to not fearing anything so how can he deal with this so suddenly? But damn i’m so glad he was really a vampire and it was not his memory playing tricks on him! When he was killing his enemies! Damn it was so SATISFYING THAT I WAS SCREAMING!!! Badass so badass! Lol he was even protecting the ML from then on and poor ML lost his showing off to beauty by protecting him chances xDD

The only thing that maybe needed a bit of work might be the world setting and building. Its not interstellar era but I see a lot of interstellar terms in it and yet also normal 21st century terms too. But since ABO is always more or less coupled with Interstellar novels. It was nice to see a different setting!

Personally loved this story and the translation.

Without giving too much away, the MC is a young, sweet, honest and open person who believes he is a vampire. Whether he is one or not you learn as the story/plot develops. The ML is quite stable and typical in the sense he is dependable, strong (he is in the military after all) and also in search of uncovering the truth of what happened in his past. I equally liked both the MC and ML and that is rare for me.

For me... more>> the plot was super interesting and the relationship between the MC and ML was so cute. I couldn't wait to read each chapter as it came out before and because I love the story so much, I had to write a review (this is my first one on here :O). It is an easy read.

The end for me, though felt a bit rushed and maybe I would have wanted (ok I WANTED) some super fluff at the end but what can one do. :) <<less

Rating: 4.5/5- This was lovely! A fully action packed, fluffy surprise.

I liked both characters very much. The aloof, naive and sweet Zhou Zhou and the caring, respectful, human Chu Feng. He definitely is a spectacular ML and he treated Zhou Zhou like absolute treasure.

Overall the pacing was great with lovely side characters and an interesting plot. It was a typical action style story with bad guys, intrigue, secrets and betrayal but also a sweet couple and some weird transmigrating,

I would have liked to know more about the Patriarch and at least have Zhou Zhou meet him again to close that chapter of his life. If the book was extended by a few more chapters we could have better explored Zhou Zhou’s interactions with his friends and family as well which I would have liked.

ML's very gentle with his shou, he's a doting bf/hubby. He talks to his shou nicely and tries to understand him all the time. MC's soooo cute and adorable, he's just very innocent (not s*upid). But of course this little patootie vampire's a badass too when he or his gong was under threat. Also the gong is a gentleman which is very rare. Lol Overall, a good read with a touch off comedy, no angst and lots of mouthful fluff!

Story 9/10.

I actually gave up on this once because of some comments before but then my friend convinced me and I decided to give it a chance and damn The story was so good..... better than what I expected. This was really like a hidden gem.

This transmigration story is bit unique than your usual transmigration.

So the story is about MC, A VAMPIRE, wakes up and find that he's in different world. Not realizing that he now turned into an omega, he is on a search to find his mate and drink his blood in order to not die but there's an Omega killer on loose.

This story has well balance with mixture of mystery, action, angsty, fluff...... etc. There are lots of mysteries waiting to be unveiled and there are lots of twists and shocking events. It is really complex but isn't hard to understand. I totally love the actions scene although I could follow and imagine some of them.

Love MC Naiveness/dumbness behavior, especially with ML teasing and playing. He's dumb but super strong. In early chapters he's shown more as a s*upid or dumb guy and it's actually quite reasonable and I can understand it [people who haven't read or know about transmigration story but end up in another world would have similar reaction], but too much of it is kinda annoying. Thankfully there was ML to change the mood and atmosphere.

Honestly, I didn't like when MC cried saying he didn't wanted to be an omega and why was he an omega and not fully Vampire. This scene was very emotional but not for me. I totally didn't like how being an omega was shown as weakness, though I agree omega are usually weak characteristics. I do understand where the word he said came from. Before he was superior- strong Vampire but now he became omega with almost no physical strength, who can't even protect himself. It must have hurt him to fall down and being weak like that but still I didn't like it. Though omega have weak physical body and strength, not all omega are usually weak. I didn't like how author neglected the omega gene and kinda boost the Vampire gene. MC became strong all because of his Vampire gene. No justice for Omega self toh. It's pretty sad.

And ML..... He's such a sweet guy. A total gentleman. You probably wouldn't expect him to be like that with his Rough character. (PS: I thought he was going to be our typical overbearing seme but he's not). He's a sweet gentleman that can prick your heart.

MC Dad..... I swear he's the best dad. He's my favorite character.

The Romance and fluff...... it was so sweet. Not only ML and MC but others pair too like MC parents and Qi Fen and his alpha. Although they didn't got much limelight, their relationship with each other is beautiful.

Its regrettable that we didn't got to see the permanent marking process....... It's ok if the author didn't gave us Smexy Scene in detail but atleast marking process could have been written....... it's quite sad.

Overall I really love the story. It was sweet and beautiful with lots of mystery and action. Though I honestly feel Confuse about MC vampire identity.

I do get that MC was actually from that world only and at night his Spirit or soul go to another world...... that's the world of Patriarch and Vampire. So, since MC originally belong from that world only then why is that he can transform into Vampire..... It not like just because he was a Vampire in another world he could change into one in here too..... I mean that's not possible right..... the bodies are different and this things doesn't happen in transmigration....... so, was he born as Vampire or was it Patriarch that actually did something and changed him. If he was originally born as Vampire in that world than could it be that there are other people in that world too who can change into vampire?? It was probably Patriarch who did something to his body, right??

A rare gem. Enjoyed the entire ride, very very wholesome and an excellent balance of action, mystery, angst, and fluff.

MC is clearly on the spectrum. If you pay attention to the flashbacks when MC is able to quickly memorize a ton of information and regurgitate it perfectly, he COMPLETELY misses the common-sense parts that the other 'worse' students in the class can pick up instantly.

It's painfully obvious through the author's hints that he's not very good at making certain types of decisions, picking up social cues for survival, or even having standard common sense. That's why MC appears like an idiot running around willy-nilly in the beginning of the book. He does not stay like this forever, but it's an adjustment process that takes longer for him than for other people.

Next, it's never said what age MC is. Just because popular fiction likes 1000 year old vampires doesn't mean that MC was one of them. It quickly becomes clear that he was a fledgling who didn't know much of the real world and relied on memorizing the axioms set by his teacher because he lacked a lot of self-preservation instincts.

There's fantastic character development and unexpected twists in this story, so I recommend giving it a chance.

This type of MC was very well-written, innocent without being s*upid, cheerful and strong at the same time. The ML also doesn't come in and solve the MC's problems.

ML isn't the most powerful CEO who can assassinate rivals at the blink of eye. ML is a guy who also struggled with his responsibilities and came from a poor background. &Lt;- very very rare

They help each other out. Theirs is a relationship of equals. ML can depend on MC as a comrade in arms, as someone who can help him with his own burdens, not just expect him to solve everything.

Romance was also really sweet - more of a slow burn where there's a lot of UST, light flirting, working on case issues together, learning about each other and respecting each other. They don't get together right away, but there's definitely a feeling of stability and commitment even before they confess.

An extremely rare and very beautiful relationship.

Plot was very enjoyable as well. A great balance of mystery, action and some supernatural elements.

A wonderful story.

It's a fun story to read actually.

Something happen in the ML past so he's set out to solve it. Somewhere along the way he came across the MC and they start to build a relationship together.

MC..... shouldn't not hate himself for being an omega but for being s*upid. Can't follow orders or advies, pushy and nosey, can't asses dangerouse situations and pretty darn willfull. He doesn't intergrate himself in the society he lives in and just expect everybody to believe and understand his world.

This was a fun short read and the plot was written very nicely to follow.

MC is a cute bun and ML is caring and love them both alot

then everything getting drag to the main and plot and we find out about MC's past.

It was also a part of healing for ML to meet MC finding someone he love and care for again.

At the beginning I thought the MC's family was going to be scummy but turn out they are one of the best loving family there.

MC is smart but mostly he acts dizzy and very kiddish random for his age, he grew up freely, like his vampire powers and the things *spoilers*

Recommend this for a short good read. You love the mysteries and the characters. It's fun <<less

I've been planning to read until chapter 10 before forming a judgment, but I've reached a point where I simply cannnot continue. It's hard for me to develop any liking for the MC. I've read other reviews saying that he's cute and endearing, I, unfortunately, can't share that sentiment. The MC's severe lack of brain cells is becoming quite unbearable and tedious for me to read.
