Heal, the 17th prince of the Kingdom of Sanfaris was born with an unknown crest that he was unable to activate.

Because of this useless crest, he was relegated to being lord of a remote island by his father, the king.

Of course, there were no people there, nor were there any trees or plants. It was an island with just a single cave.

However, the moment that Heal picked up the pickaxe inside of the cave, the ‘Cave King’ crest was activated. Its effect was specializing in mining, allowing him to efficiently mine all kinds of ore.

Among the ore that could be mined on the island, there was even some ore that magic ability and ore that extended one’s lifespan…

Heal would become so engrossed in mining, that he would eventually create the strongest country.

Frankly I kept with this way too long. The initial joy of him discovering all these cool mining elements has long since disappeared, with the story switching to a generic town building plot. The mysteries were long since explained in generic exposition. There really was nothing left of interest after like 50-60 chapters, to be frank.

The humor also wasn't funny, the characters got less interesting, and the world more generic fantasy. Overall... bleh. Poor novel at best.

This is a slice of life story similar in ridiculousness like level 1 with S Drop and isekai nounka. There really aren't any serious conflicts that gets you fired up reading it and the world building happens haphazardly. However, if you enjoy silly stories and if you've read the manga and liked it, you'll probably enjoy this.

Shouldn't expect any hardcore plot in here or whatever. Essentially it's a slice of life isekai with Minecraft elements which is pretty novel. Everything's really predictable and gets resolved within 1 to 2 chapters and MC is cookie cutter protagonist who has next to no personality, but idk maybe it's just been a while since I've read slice of life but I like it so whatever.

A pretty good story, though it is a bit on the slow side. The MC suffers from the typical Jap cliche of assuming himself to be weak all the time in the beginning, however adopts a more manly approach as the story goes on. My only complaints is how many conveniences there are and how much it helps the MC out.

It started off pretty slow pretty much just getting all the characters involved. But after all the characters got involved it really got heavy on the storyline which I love it's still relaxed and it's not too serious. And I love it, he's an interesting character And there is a bit of a manga of this book which I also like.

This is the sort of novel that works best if you don't think too hard. The plot is pretty laid back, the main character is pretty spineless, and the gag characters can really get on your nerves if you try to view the novel from the same lens as a more serious novel. However, it does a good job of mediating that with a rapidly developing plot, so if you keep giving it a chance it'll keep giving back. It's a pretty simple novel but an enjoyable read without any real issues other than it is basically the same as other fantasy slice-of-life. If you like that, you will probably enjoy this and it's a nice, easy read.

I mean, I enjoy reading it since its pretty lighthearted. Its nothing really intense and it's just about a dude and others living on some random island after being casted out.

Just because I enjoyed it doesnt mean its something I can really suggest though. Its doesnt really have a plot to me. Its just about a dude that is mining and whenever the author wants something to happen he adds in like a new stone that can do something.

Additionally, the MC is like most isekai MC where they are just... more>> absurdly overpowered, with a harem that doesnt really quite make sense (

There were simply too many characters introduced that this novel turns into mush. There is nothing going on, no goal, no premise of a great story, no epic adventure, just a badly written slice of life.

Every aspect is rushing too much. A newly introduced character only got, at most, 2 chapters worth of screen time, no in-depth background story, no proper description, got named then immediately turn into a background character. Events come and go very quickly which makes all of them insignificant such as the Levithan battle that end... more>> in the most let down ever. The plan of construction on the most important location in the story, the island, is totally vague no one knows where is where. His mining ability is also stagnant for some time now (I'm looking at you Kuma Bear that forgot to level up for 200 chapters).

You can read it to kill time but I'm not going to recommend it to anyone. <<less

It's kinda tr*sh. It's super predictable, and full of cliches, and annoyingly simple. The story so far goes a little along the lines of:

MC goes mining,

MC finds new mineral/stone,

In the same chapter, a random event happens,

The material found this chapter solves the problem that appeared this chapter,

Repeat.

It's super brainless. The MC is an unlikable beta protagonist.

The plot is pretty easy the MC build his kingdom on an desert island and for various reason he gets mosters as subject but the novel has a lot of flaws.

Spoiler
  1. Pretty much everything happen because the MC find special ore/stone in the mines. This would be ok but the island contein 99% of the world ore.
  2. The MC is Op for no reason. He was the weakest of the entire family and after using 483838 magic stone he simply surpassed his fathers/brothers.
  3. Killing some flying bird created more problem than Killing the Leviathan (most powerfull moster of the sea)
  4. Ascending stone make moster "evolve" cool right? Nope 2 goblin girls became beatiful human girls, why? God only know. An Orc became of course a beatiful human with wings. So theres no evolution they get a race change and some s*upid buff.
  5. For now there are 3 major race in the island Kobolds, Orcs and Goblins. Now this would be ok but these races are MORTAL ENEMY of each others. They were in constant war for no reason and one of the kobolds even killed the goblin general sons but ofc the MC is the Pope and now they are all friends.

Really interesting series I read 200 chapters in 4 days without me getting boring or feeling that it's tedious reading this series.

The MC is too much of a pacifist, he doesn't want bloodshed that much you will get annoyed by it sometimes but it doesn't affect much of the story, the side characters are also good they have proper character development. There's also a lot of funny moments.

Kindness is a curse and a blessing. In this novel's case, it is a curse.

Here you have a naive kind MC who is given OP powers and has plot armor that is impenetrable. Everything he does will always reward him.

The story has several tropes and cliches from your standard isekai. Nothing new is done here and this is something best used for time wasting.

I'm used to bad plotted out novels as they usually have something going for them either with a simple power fantasy MC, world building, interesting side characters or just a plain fun story or imagination exciting setting. This one however does not.

A reviewer mentioned this can be likened to someone's lone island Minecraft and if it centered on that it'd be fine and enjoyable. The little elements he has in there so far are the most memorable by far and compared to the rest of the story decently done. Sadly... more>> it lacks in the kingdom building aspect, I'd hesitate to call it city building at this chapter.

The characters are largely shallow, yet they are different enough by checking many of the boxes if you're into that stuff. I can't help to see it as being largely surface level changes made with good intent (I'm giving the benefit of doubt.) This goes for all the characters, by this chapter (92) I should have one that I like and feel for but I don't.

Do not over analyze the race relations aspect of the story as it's at the level of someone that has obviously not had to deal with someone of a vastly different background living next door. For instance an innocent plot devious can be taken the wrong way way to easily though it's seen in many other similar novels such as Death Mage. <<less

The only way the story has any way of being good is if the father sent Heal to the island having an idea of what was their instead of it being a super coincidence and if you ignore how the magic boosting stones were put their by the author so that he could have the characters deal with the basic living problems of surviving in the middle of nowhere easily without giving the MC skills that leave the mining theme.

Well, I place my hope too high on this story...

First is your mediocre fantasy discovery unique ore which is fun for a while, but then author use the same plot again, again & again

Maybe there some fun on the arc when MC meet with his relative, but I don't have patience for continue to read all this cliche

It is an OK slice-of-life about some guy with magic in a fantasy world. It starts out with an interesting idea and seems like it is going to have some Kingdom building but it never actually fulfills that promise. It is just fluff about the MC becoming brokenly powerful and a bunch of random people deciding to treat him as their ruler. The MC will occasionally stop what he is doing to talk about whatever his followers have accomplished but most of the time he is just digging a hole... more>> to find more deus ex machina nonsense. It is light-hearted and focuses mostly on comedy and the MC's interactions with others. Be warned that the MC is the stereotypical Japanese LN 'beta male' however there is not much focus on romance so it isn't as painful as it could be. <<less

World building and MC powers make little sense. His powers are mostly ignored after about 30-40 chapters. Typical cliches, OP powers out of nowhere, fawning subordinates everywhere, etc.

MC is also an infuriatingly pathetic, typical Japanese doormat. But wait, MC is actually not Isekai’d or anything. Just absolutely pathetic. This is the main reason I can’t continue anymore. Reading this just pisses me off so much.

Not a 1 star, since as Japanese story, it could be worse.
