Very Hot and steamy and yummy~ Ok so, the royal family are a race of humans that are not really human as their emotions affects the world, like they can make the land fertile or heal people near them just by being happy, plus they are powerful and have there own special abilities, a way to recognize them is they have blond hair like gold, blue eyes with beautiful light-colored skin which is different from the normal human's yellow skin and black hair and eyes, and... more>> they don't have the same moral's as all the rest of humans, but the only downsides to the royal family is that one, they can only fall in love with their own siblings/family/relatives, AKA in*est which is how they keep their blood pure, and two, they will die of loneliness/deteriorate over time if they don't have a relative with them.

Due to some reason, the family was destroyed leaving only two people of this royal blood. The male lead who is of pure blood and the missing brother of the male lead who only has half royal blood. Since the male lead health was deteriorating the court officials were all freaking out and went to find the missing brother. The half-brother (AKA MC) since he is isn't a pureblood he doesn't have anything that makes him resemble the royal family, no special abilities, their looks, the family love obsession... etc, he looks and acts like a normal countryside person.

So when the ML and MC meet and stuff, the MC didn't feel anything for ML since he only has half-blood, while the ML felt the connection immediately and becoming very obsessed since he hasn't been around a family member in forever. The ML fell for him due to their blood (instinct I guess), while the MC was disgusted and felt that it was immoral that his supposed brother wanted him, plus the MC regarded the royal family as more like beasts than humans since they don't have common human morals, it's also due to how he was brought up which his father figure didn't really like royals which made him not really like them either. So when MC rejected him, the ML was very devastated which led to the r*pe part. I am going to stop explaining here. For those who have in*est kink, yandere kink, or forced love kink then this novel is for you~

Oh, one thing I have noticed so far is that the royal family don't care about who their lovers f*ck, literally, the ML asked the MC if he wanted a kid, if he does then he can go find a women for the MC so that the MC can make a kid with her, talk about how surprised I was, what this means is that the ML is not possessive/jealous he is just very clingy and obsessed. <<less

ML is searching for his long-lost biological older brother - sure...

ML finds the MC who is his long-lost biological older brother. MC is sweet, naive and a total village-hick and so hard-working - awww, sounds so sweet.

ML r*pes MC, continuosly while keeping him prisoner coz of genes - wtf

And that's where I quit. Before other reviewers bash me up, I did read the tags. I thought it was a one-time r*pe, or maybe in MC's past, or with other characters. Or even if it was between MC & ML, there... more>> better be a damn good reason and some great regretful actions to make up for the fact.

But noooo. The premise of this novel is constant r*pe and being imprisoned. Even others think - Oh, MC is shouting in pain and wailing but u know what, king is v v crucial for this world so imma pretend some lame, stuttering village hick is not being brutally r*ped by his own brother.

This is f*cked up. MC loves being outdoors and is desperate to go back home to his mountain-side. His despair is heartbreaking to read. I don't see what's interesting about such circumstances. I just wish the MC would kill the ML.

Imo a world which requires one person to be constantly r*ped to be saved is not a world worth saving.

This is one of the few BL novels that has good writing.

Showing, not telling.

Nuanced character behaviors and personalities.

Perfectly-paced storytelling that develops the plot without leaving readers bored.

Realistic descriptions of historical male heights lmao 5'5'' is tall

Kudos to the translators for a superb job. This is quite a harrowing story though. The scenes following chapter 17 are incredibly hard go read and stab you in the gut, because the author actually makes you like the MC. If you can stomach tragedy and brutality, this is a great novel.

Since we read this from Ashiyowa's pov it's heartbreaking when we get to the chapter with r@pe. The innocent Ashi is in so much pain and we readers feel hurt along with him. The scene isn't beautified or anything. We clearly understand what happened. This is also the reason why when Ashi decides to give Leshe a chance it's so much more deep and emotional cause he does that for others even if he himself is uncomfortable with it. We're still in the beginning chapters so let's see how this... more>> goes <<less

Great, very sweet until chapter 17, but after that it gets very, very dark. You should know that this story contains horrible r*pes. But if you're not overly sensitive, read on. The r*pes are absolutely not standardized, they are shown as they really are and it's horrible but it makes the story so "touching".

I've been liking what I'm reading so far. I don't really like Japanese I general as the themes and pacing isn't usually my type but I'd have to say this really blew me away.

If anyone wants to give this novel a chance I'd recommend reading the tags first don't be an idiot and complain about it later. This novel has a few heavy themes and I suggest you understand what you're comfortable with before reading something like this.

So the writing of this novel is amazing, it out league most Jp novels I've seen so far. Props to the author and translator for that.

story-wise, yes, I’ve seen the tags and have decided to proceed on. Its just the way the author has written the MC makes my heart aches so bad and makes me hate the ML.

MC who has only been living in the mountain, living a very simple life suddenly just carry on the weight of having half the blood of the royal family who are known to only love blood relatives. Not to mention what happened with MC and ML in chp 17... its so traumatic omg I couldn’t even read it.
It also doesn’t help that the ML selfish doesn’t give MC his space. I’m pretty sure MC has PTSD bcs of the ML and all he wants is to go back home alone away from the ML and the palace life, but ML just uprights says that he will abdicates and leaves with MC back to the mountain and everything would fine.
As the last emperor, ML abdicating just like that of course will make the officials and eventually the public distress and in a mess. So pressured by the officials, MC is forced to stay with ML in the palace, constantly fearing for his life while ML is carefree. It makes me mad and sad://

Wow, wow, wow! It's been a while since I read a novel that made me this excited for the next chapter. The characterization are excellent, the main character "Ashi" is very likable, and the lead-up of him going to the capital was enjoyable. The world-building is pretty good as well; seems to be an interesting setting with some fantasy elements-- the lands are verdant because of the emperor's power and divine protection. Translation and editing are both fantastic-- preserving the original intent without being too literal or clunky.

Can't wait to... more>> read more of this one!

UPDATE: Just got to the latest chapter, chapter 18, and I'm out. I didn't pay attention to the NU tags the first time but r*pe turns to love is something I cannot personally stomach. Sorry translators, I appreciate your work but I can't read this anymore. <<less

Oh man I remember reading this years ago on syosetu. It got like 100+ chapters still up on syosetu but author released completed physical light novel with revised plot/typos (idk how to words it out). Can't believe someone actually translates this.

Yes this got r*pe btw. R*pe and pain. Still my favourites as I love the plot and writing since I'm not here for happy fluffy story. Make sure to skip this story if you can't handle any of these.

Won't be rating since I didn't finish.

At first, I was pretty pleased with this story. There was an interesting setting and plotline, the characters (or at least, the MC) seemed pretty unique to me, and the story unfolded in a way that kept my attention. I liked it fairly well.

But the ML. He's awful. I don't know what to say. He may dote on the MC and love him very dearly, but he doesn't really let him do what he wants. He clings to the MC even though he's uncomfortable... more>> with it, and it seems like he just steamrolls right over what the MC really needs/wants. Maybe it has something to do with

Is this novel's translation dropped? I can't find new chapter released on Discord either since Nov. 2021... so I guess it is 😢

The story is good so far.

The translation is harder to understand, I have to reread often; or maybe it's just me. I didn't have difficulties with other novels I've read till now. I'm not sure because of the translation or it's just the way the story is narrated (after that I've read few more translated Japanese novels... it seems to me that it's written this way) Thank... more>> you the translator for your generous time sharing! <<less
