the twins of the Empire and the green haired man and Rurutia's former organizations. Well, the latter was foreshadowed once tho, but still...
Its basically just crack writing, dialogue is like that of a fanfic you would read when your bored and just want something light, and its fine up until chapter 30, where the writing goes bizarre. While before it was primarily dialogue to dialogue, there was still enough actual inbetween context that it made sense, but then you hit here and its almost nonsensical
It's just sentence after sentence of statement, statement, question, statement, statement; no context provided. You keep going hoping it gets better but somehow it gets worse?
I comprehend that this is literally just light crack writing not meant to be taken seriously, but the characters have to have bare minimum likeability, and it struggled so much with that. Which is all the more bizarre with how genuinely decent it was from the get go
We keep getting introduced to characters but basically by name and feature alone if that. We get dropped into the situation without a single clue given to us and yet expected to take some kind of stance?
Edit: I wrote this at 33 and am now updating at 36. The writing becomes ledgible in exchange for a complete tonal shift. Becoming all dark and angst filled like a teens first foray into writing. The MC was apparently a member of an illegal organisation despite being literally 16 right now and witnessed a bunch of people die. We are given these names without any lead up, and I assume they'll disappear much the same, and then expected to mourn for them I guess?
This weird flashback that had me feeling like I'd gone back to reading reader-insert fanfic was entirely out of nowhere and I had to stop
good translation and light read until.. yes, there is "until" - the chapter 28 is a mark at which things become rushed, the narration become a rare occurence and we have a race between dialogs of characters where you can't be sure who is actually doing the talking and what's actually happening as actions keeps on jumping places
at chapter 37 we might even feel betrayed, cause the "mob background character MC" which drove us to this novel feels like a fake as more and more protagonist like background history is being added to our MC
those ten chapters feels like author's big mistake with chapter 38 the narration style seem back to normal (or close to normal) and we actually know once again who is talking to whom I wonder how it will develop further, cause my overall rating of this series already dropped once by now
ok, apparently author forgotten his characters specifics since Irene - who was supposed to have enough magic power to hunt a dragon (per Rurusia's words) declared herself unable to use magic (which was Rururia's unique feature)
