At first it seems like the story isn't bad. The initial set up is pretty good. The problem is the guy is an absolute moron and the story relies on misunderstanding tropes and "MC hides his strength tropes" for everything. I mean everything. There is no plot to speak of. There is the vague "I want to go home" plot. However, the MC decides to spend time with natives and hide his strength instead of getting stronger on his own. There is no valid rational for this. It doesn't help... more>> him achieve any of his goals. What is the reader left with then? A guy that is stronger than everyone hanging out with total losers pretending to be weak while accomplishing nothing. What is the point of this story? What is the MC doing? It just doesn't make sense. More importantly, it's boring. He doesn't try to get strong. He doesn't try to get home. The only thing he actually tries to do is, ironically, not try so that he appears weak. That's the premise, "strong guy lives weak." It's not much different than the premise "a god comes to visit and tries to become lame so as not to kill people by breathing to hard." Trust me, it's not an interesting premise. <<less

Normally I'd prefer the novel but the novel and manhwa in this case are just so different with different vibes and story flows so it's quite unfair of me to directly compare them (Ex: The novel has comedic undertones, meanwhile, the manhwa is definitely a full blow comedy comic. Different characters (especially in terms of personality, my boi Rondelle was done dirty in the novel TOT) and world building too. There are also new characters, I'd say the manhwa is quite literally the author's rendition

Personally speaking I prefer the manhwa,... more>> the novel and the manhwa are kinda two different genres apart (Well the fact that the manhwa is it's own story pretty much explains that, the manhwa is basically a retelling so obviously it's different).I prefer how the characters are fleshed out and introduced there as well as the buildup (it's well thought off tbh, the action scenes are cool af too, I love the power display and the monster designs + THE STAKES), in contrast to here they're kind of literally background side characters (which is pretty much a con in novels, in manhwas you can easily see people in the background living their lives)

Personalities are also different, I'm more of a fan of the manhwa characters (I liked alot more characters there tbh) I't was easier to be fond of the manhwa version characters tbh (the main trio; Ryu, Atisse, Ephyr. Then there's Rondelle, Kyvie, Snow, Leonhart, Laude, Leslie+Zanglu Xin, Maiden and basically like majority of the other characters) It's somehow easier to care for every character in the manhwa compared to when I'm reading the novel, I'm just like "Go die" "JUST KILL THEM ALREADY, COME ON"

The author really made up for a lot of novel moments in the manhwa

Both manhwa and novel are Pretty nice to read though, I find the manhwa more fun (just somehow is more of my cup of tea) Still, this a good novel.

I believe, Credit should be given to where it is due, which is this novel. The author really gave their all in both <<less

If you're debating it, don't read the comic; it is subpar compared to the novel and hamfists tropes in that hurt the characterization.

Anyway, it's very good. A) It's got a thought out plot (i.e. It's not just isekai wish fulfillment) and it chugs through it at a good pace. B) No 1D villians, and decently fleshed out characters. C) No teeth grinding over s*upid nationalism or gender stuff and there's a quick nod to trans people. Pleasant surprise.

An interesting twist on the OP MC system transportation to new world yadda yadda genre. I really like the MC and the world development. Like someone else said, read the first couple chapters to see how you feel about the MC then make a decision to stop or keep going.

This is a fun story about a MC who got OP because of a glitch in the "system". While it is another leveling up system, transport to another world series, the story has some unique twist to it that makes it different from others. The translations is pretty good and consistent. Overall, the story is pretty fun and have some great action, perfect for passing the time.

Fun OP MC goes around beats stuff up makes friends, if you're looking for a power fantasy this would probably suit you. I would recommend reading the first few chapters and seeing if you like the MC, as that will decide whether you like the rest.

Fun story about an OP MC and his adventures. This is a pretty fun novel to pass time and it's definitely one of the better power fantasies out there. I suggest you try out this novel if you are bored because it's pretty good. Also try out the manhwa, as that's also pretty good.

great novel
it's similar to the manga/webtoon or whatever but also very different, as the manga version is more comedy
the novel is more hardcore action.
despite what most would think from the first few chapters, the MC's fights are very interesting and he isn't overly OP
there are plenty of people stronger than him, so the fights are never boring.
has it's own fair share of twists with an interesting world and story.

This story is really nice. The MC is quite OP but is quite flaw I think. In a world where they are magic spell, force power and aura, the MC only have his superior physique right now as there was a glitch in the system. Hoping that the MC will be able to use aura in the near chapter and I hope the story will also include his return to earth.
