Mu Xiaoya lived for twenty-six years before she knew that she had a sudden genetic disease. There was no medicine for it, and there was only death waiting for her.

Before she died, many people came to see her, but she was most impressed by Bai Chuan.

Bai Chuan was her neighbor, an autistic child with scholar’s syndrome. At that time, his face full of scars was desperate: “I – I studied all your medical records, but I have no way to save you.”

Mu Xiaoya was stunned: “You are a doctor?”

Bai Chuan: “I am not… …”

Mu Xiaoya’s disease was a genetic disease. Unless the gene was changed, there was no possibility of cure. However, Bai Chuan was the only person who tried to cure her after she fell ill.

Mu Xiaoya: “Why are you going to cure me?”

Bai Chuan: “I want to marry you.”

Mu Xiaoya laughed: “If you marry me, you will soon become a widower.”

Bai Chuan insisted: “I – I want to marry you.”

Bai Chuan, who has cognitive impairments, can’t express his meaning very well, and can only repeat it over and over again.

Later, Mu Xiaoya still died. When she woke up, she returned to the summer of her college graduation.

Bai Chuan: “I… I want to marry you.”

Mu Xiaoya: “Good.”

The starlight in the eyes of Bai Chuan was the most beautiful scenery that Mu Xiaoya had ever seen in her life.

(Rating is based on reader enjoyment, not medical accuracy)

I loved this webnovel. I felt like I could connect with all of the characters, I loved and was really rooting for the main couple, and I never got bored while reading. The ending is slightly lackluster, but that’s a minor issue. This webnovel is not medically accurate, but it was still enjoyable to read. I loved seeing ML’s progress and MC gradually falling in love with him.

I really enjoyed reading this. I learned a lot from this novel about autism and working with people on the spectrum. All of the characters were very relatable and the plot was very meaningful, reminding me of the importance of life and family.

I was hesitant to read it because of the ML's condition, but I'm glad I read it and it's so heartwarming. I'm not familiar with the scholar syndrome so I never focused on how the author described the disease, but this is the second story I read with Asperger (The first one is Guide to Raising the Sick Villain), and this one is more believable when it comes to personalities of an autistic person.

I love how it's revealed how much Beichuan loves her, even in the previous life. It's just... more>> sad how the author had to make an extra story of what happened to Beichuan in the previous life after the MC died. It was so heartbreaking. Thank god this story is full of fluff and the ML and MC are perfect for each other. They were both patient and loving. Also, one of the best characters here is BeiZheng, the ML's brother. He's more doting on his brother than their parents are. The first bro-con I found where the brother is adorable and loving. <<less

I read this book for fluffy romance and that's what I got, so I'm pretty much satisfied.

There were so many hilarious moments at which I actually laughed out loud. Thought that it would be angsty, but it wasn't.

Previously, I really dont want to read this because I dont know what to feel about reading sickly ML like this. But then, this is the third Grumpy Crab's novels that ive read and if you know this author, you know its gonna be good.

Like I said, I dont have huge expectation for sickly ml, I dont why. I just dont feel comfortable imagine about it. But then again, its Grumpy Crab here. I love the author works sooo much. Its amazing, full of fluff and not too long like... more>> some other chinese novels out there.

For someone who kinda dont like the premise of the story, I CANT STOP SMILING THE WHOLE TIME I READ THIS. I even told my self that I dont 'like' this novel while at the same time keep on smiling and fangirling the whole time. It just too good.

Although, I just want to say that this novel also include some medical facts here and there. Whether its true or not, only those in the field can confirm. Therefore, please regards all the facts and condition and symptoms as part of this fiction.

Also big thank you to novice translation and mad panda for translating this! Reaally appreciate this <<less

I really really liked this story. I think that it is exceptional and well-written.

And every one can have there own thought about this book, but don’t let that decide for you to read it or not.
Give it a try and if you don’t like it then just stop reading it.

I like the novel..

Interaction between main leads are interesting.

I think writer could have write more of 50+ chapters in it...

But still I like over all novel.

Business strategy and all that are not mention in details and there are lots of loop holes in it. But you can forget about it because it is not much related to the story.

I was kind of greedy and wanted to read more details of their life.

It's HE. So don't worry...

The solution to their 'problem' is not Perfect nor Miraculous, but in a way it's Miraculous.

The relationship between MC and ML is Adorable and Great!

... more>> Both side of their Family is Absolutely The Best! MC's friends reaction and thought was realistic but still being Supportively Great!!!

How China and Chinese people see and learn about Autism is not perfect, but it was still great and still helpful to some people to understand some things about Autism in this novel!

It's not Perfect but it's still Absolutely Wonderful and Beautiful Lovable novel and I Love it So Much! <<less

This is my second time to leave a review.
Spoiler

This story is so satisfying. Don't let other people get through your head. It is heartwarming and full of fluff and is actually funny.

There's a slight angst but don't worry it actually not that bad. Just tiny bit. Overall this is actually cute.

Give it a try.

I love reading how the relationship between Bai Chuan and Mu Xioa Ya grows and gets stronger throughout the novel. 💖💖 There are times when my heart aches and other times when my heart rejoices reading their daily interactions. Their love for each other really makes them a solid and loving couple.

I love the storyline, so fluffy and cute. I love the MC and ML interaction, so pure and precious.
Spoiler

Even though I was told that the hereditary part was a bit fictional, I still didn't like it because it was far from reasonable. But it's okay. I still like this story because the storyline is very interesting and very unique

Absolutely sweet, emotionally realistic (no weird irrational cannon foddering), immersive yet still melancholic romance novel!

Disclaimer: That's if you'd judge it as a fictional romance, as fictional romance it has done it's job well, but if we'd be talking about the accurate display of mental disability it'll rub you off in various ways if you're familiar with the topic. But to me, it's already a huge improvement based on what I've seen before in romance/asian novels like "hidden marriage". Hopefully, more authors can take mental illnesses more seriously and do their... more>> research properly. (Honestly, alone the fact that most romance novels do not even have healthy conversations and rarely properly explain their emotions to each other, this is already a huge step, you know @_@)

The main couple do have a wonderful relationship based on compromise, understanding and healthy conversations. Nevertheless there are also depressing moments that will hit your feelings like a sudden upper jaw cut. Extremely well balanced and gorgeously narrated. Can't praise it enough! <<less

First and foremost this is a novel and they don't usually portray things accurately anyways. So going in I knew from reading the reviews that they wouldn't accurately portray a person with autism. But I didn't let that get in the way of reading this novel. Besides that, this novel was really good. It gave me a pleasant surprise. It wasn't 100% the best but it was good and I finished it.

The ML, Bai Chuan, is very sweet but emotionally stunted and socially awkward. FL, Mu Xiaoya, died from a... more>> rare disease in her previous life and was reborn again into her past self. At first, Mu Xiaoya was like a fish out of water and didn't know what to do or how to help Bai Chuan but she slowly started getting better. The character development in this novel was so good. The growth of Bai Chuan and Mu Xiaoya was nice so see.

This novel made me cry, laugh and just plain happy. It is definitely worth it to read it. Bai Chuan's older brother having a bro-con cracks me up every time. <<less

A work of art built on emotions that captures a readers interest and keep it. You laugh, you cry you, wonder why ?Then you figure out, the novel is just that good. My only regret is that I couldn't read it in it's original form.

VERY FLUFFY. So much that I was giggling and smiling so ugly in the corner of the room in the dark. I gave it three stars mainly because of how the author portrayed the male lead. I have classmates as well as a cousin who is autistic and in some scenes, I felt utterly uncomfortable. The story's good if you aren't knowledgeable in this field but be warned to those who are sensitive to this subject.

I am a fan of this author. Enjoying her novels so much! It's the 2nd novel I've read by same author. I don't really dwell with the accuracy of the Autism and Scholar Syndrome mention here because two of her novel I've read before also had a share of fantasy already. So I just treat it as fiction and enjoyed what she wrote.

Despite the inaccuracy mentioned by other reviewer, this is a sweet and fluffy full of dog food. I love all the character, everyone is so nice and care.... more>> No villain at all which is rare for C-Novel. And I love it. The plot is also neat and very well written & well translated. <<less
