This story is honestly growing on me (internal screaming) ! It's rare to see an Alpha x Beta omegaverse work (to me, at least) and this is just lovely.

I love seme POV novels and especially semes who are learning what it means to fall in love--how precious! The communication between Heerak (MC) and Doseon (ML) is quite awkward with the way they got acquainted and the gap in their employment status, but MC does try hard even if he is confused about the whole thing. Unfamiliar feelings and instincts for... more>> an unfamiliar man who clearly does not traditionally fit MC's image of a bedmate... but everything feels so right??? ("shocked" and internally fangirling. jpg) isn't Heerak the most precious?!

The funny little misunderstandings between the two of them is just perfect to highlight and also lift the awkwardness of their relationship.

When MC asked if ML had photos of him (like blackmail unsightly photos from the night they first slept together) and ML admitted that he had photos of MC on his phone... only to reveal he had official photos of MC (like news article or magazine shots) that he'd downloaded... pfft! boy, I laughed my lungs out. Poor Heerak almost had the biggest disappointment in his life and poor Doseon thought he was gonna get sacked for keeping (publicly available) photos without permission

The smut is also so good. Pheromones don't affect ML and MC learns that the hard way sober. MC teaching ML to love and appreciate himself more, asking for consent and constantly checking in on ML, pampering the inexperienced ML until he's a melted puddle in bed... all the while, MC is patiently learning about each and every reaction ML makes that he (MC) has missed out on due to s*x with pheromone-sensitive Omegas. It's just not the same and I love this so much for Heerak and Doseon (sigh) ~ A superdominant Alpha's awakening to making love with the average Beta... get married already!

Overall, at this point of the novel, I'm loving it and I think you will too! ٩ (◦`꒳´◦) ۶ <<less

Love the novel, it’s so wonderful to see a character that realises the intensity of his possessiveness is crazy and holds back for his partner’s sake, instead of being emotionally abusive. I want more!

I sincerely hate wordexcerpt though, I want to throw my laptop at their heads. Insanely expensive for the shortest “chapters” in existence. And once you pay, many of the pages have issues. Ruined the experience a bit, but still a great novel.

Wow!! I reaaaaallly like this novel, the author really broke through the norm by breaking the ABO stereoype here!

There is no dog blood drama, no real ABO drama and the only other side character is the secretary of MC.

And the smut is really good!

MC is really my favourite character here

He actually has a personality with good traits and flaws, not like other CEO novels where the super OP iceberg gong is dominating af.

As mentioned by another review he really minds consent and had to be clear several times that shou was consenting to s*x! As an alpha, mind you. Also he‘s very careful during s*x to make it as pleasurable as possible for shou (which turns him on as well). He isn‘t perfect of course, he‘s very immature and often get‘s angry. But what I love is that he loves his shou so much that he would never hurt him and even though he shows some extremely (almost yandere like) possessiveness he‘s scared that it would restrict/hurt shou so he even goes to therapy and also talks about his worries with ML! And he tries to work on his flaws and fix it. He‘s also not shy to show emotions (like vulnerability) in front of ML and even cries.

There are some misunderstandings (more like one big one) that‘s the breaking point for MC and MLs relationship but after resolving it (pretty quickly) it‘s basically pure fluff with some character building.

ML is a hard character to describe, but he‘s not as bad as another review said.

In the beginning he seems like his EQ might be negative and he seems to suffer from some low self esteem issues throughout the story. (Which have nothing to do with being beta, the whole gender aspect isn‘t really any big problem in the whole story). He seems kinda robotic in the beginning but later we also have his narration view which gives him more of a character. And he fell in love at first sight with MC (or his looks at least) although it doesn‘t really seem so. He‘s very nervous around him which makes him stiff and robotic. But he‘s kinda lovely bc he also only has eyes for MC.

On so far, it's been 34 chapters translated and nothing major happens. The sème is a joke, he was described as a tsundere and finally no is just immature. He's playing the big bread ceo a moment, the next he guffaws as an idiot. The uke is too submitted in the sense that he's always acting like a carpet with no soul. 3 chapters to discuss how to call each other. Not plot so far but useless description of the seme indecisiveness.. I give up

Reading all the comments I thought it was a sweet story but after reading I personally don't find it sweet. And it's my limit to read till here. Maybe I'll read later and might change my opinion. But currently it's not sweet or cute.

I really like this story. It's a very quick read which has fluffiness oozing off the page.

As always, I will state, that I detest ABO. But every now and again, a synopsis will catch my eye, and I'd give in. I'm glad I did in this case.

Seme is not the usual icy ceo. Instead, he's a nervous, blabbering wreck. Uke manages to portray himself as stoic, however, he's even more of a nervous wreck than seme. I love these two.

Minor misunderstanding is quickly worked out, toxic traits are recognized and... more>> an earnest effort is spent to control them, and seme insists that uke sees himself in a better light.

Definitely recommend this one.

Update. Tried rereading this novel. However, a lot of chapters are cut short. There are a bunch of time skips that I distinctly remember reading prior. So, I dont know what happened there. The novel is also monetized (understandable, I guess) <<less

first - do not read this book, or put on any review if you're not willing to spend money on this book. You need to know that these novel have paid chapters where u can purchase either in word excerpt or ebook from kobo.

The setting is quite interesting, alpha and beta instead of cliche alpha omega. Very short read, not much on character development anyways. Sometimes the description too lengthy, too formal, well suit the setting of the characters. The sm*t is hot, just nice for this novel. Good start,... more>> but the ending a bit abrupt. No wedding, no introduction to family, not bringing out each other to meet friends, basically the story just in the center of the two main characters. <<less

I must say, the seme is the cutest manly man that I have ever encountered in any BL novel that I have read. He is extremely considerate and caring. I also understand the uke's insecurity in their relationship at the beginning due to the ABO setting where the usual paring is AO, therefore their misunderstanding is not uncalled for, and it is also solved pretty quickly. All in all, it is quite a good read.

Not bad but not fantastic. I like the MC a lot but the ML just feels there. There aren't a lot of characters which really brought down the vibe of the story. At some point, I began begging to see their lives outside of each other, particularly on Doseon's side.

I originally picked this up because I was interested in unusual omegaverse configurations. I've always thought Alpha x Beta relationships come with inbuilt angst. Betas are locked out of the heat/rut pheromone determinant world of alphas and omegas but must worry... more>> that the pull of biology will drag their lover away from them (see Mr Beta on Webtoon which explores some of this). If you picked it up for the same reason I did, don't. Despite some mentions of pheromones, marking, and knotting, this world dooesn't feel like omegaverse at all. This is both to its strength and detriment as that inbuilt angst of alpha x beta is much diminished.

After a while, reading it became tedious and I powered through because I had paid for it. It began to feel like a whole lot of nothing.

The relationship is sweet but there's no conflict in the story. I don't mean that I want them to fight or have unending angst but there's nothing for them to overcome and address.

It doesn't help that the narration is so stiff and robotic. I think I would have enjoyed it more if the words had some charm.

Additionally, the translation is something else. Constantly missing pronouns, mixing up who is speaking, using unnecessarily complicated language etc. This in conjunction with the stiff and over-formal narration made me wonder if they used chatgbt.

However, I liked how sweet the protagonists where to each other. I liked how there was no hint of noncon and how they both showed their love for each other in words, touch, and service. I don't really like omegaverse but this was alright. <<less

I normally don't like ABO novels because there's almost always a submissive. Like yes that can be hot in the bedroom but it infuriating anywhere else. The MC is your typical perfect alpha: handsome, successful, rich and everyone likes him. The ML (beta) is basically and extra, likeable but impassive and insecure. The chapters a plain an one dimensional but it's still a cute romance (seme doesn't micromanage uke's life). Unlike most ABO novel CONSENT HAS A PRESENCE (1st time is dubcon though).

The story kind of drags during the 30... more>> chapter. Since the story is the fluffy type it would have been better to have scenes like meeting the alpha's family (since they're said to cherish him) or the beta's backstory (childhood) instead of forcing an almost break-up.

Overall I'd recommend it to pass time. Story 6.3/10, characters 6.5/10, translation 7/10 <<less

3.5 It's cute, not much substance, but not a bad way to pass time. ABO novels aren't my favorite and I'm especially not usually into ABO novels where the couples are AA, AB or BO, but I'm glad I gave this one a chance.

The story doesn't have much depth and the MC and ML are pretty much 1 dimensional, and after chapter 90 the story kind of dragged to me.

MC is the seme/gong/alpha, he is an arrogant alpha but in a more playful way than most alpha's. He is also... more>> a dunce when it comes to dating/love. He is my favorite character.

ML is the uke/Shou/beta, he is someone who has been hardened and beaten by society, no tragic backstory here, which I found refreshing

This is such a refreshing novel. The romance is chef's kiss (〃｀ 3′〃）This should be rated higher.

There's a bit drama but no third party involved.

The MC is the seme while the ML is the shou. At first, you'll be wondering why the ML acts emotionless and robotic but it will later show his pov why he's acting like that. It will give you a bittersweet feeling. I love how both of them are caring to each other.

The MC is a breath of fresh air. He's not the typical seme with... more>> cold and overbearing CEO attitude. He is very expressive with his feelings. I even giggled when he burst into tears LMAO. Love how he's very clingy and affectionate to the ML. He literally acts all childish when it comes to the ML.

I also love the ML so much. It makes me sad about his insecurities and anxiousness with their relationship,

ML thinks that them having spend time and doing together with what every lovers do will someday come to end. I understand why ML is like that, it's because the MC haven't confess to him yet. A straightforward perfect romance! A short read, but really it’s too perfect. ML just a sweet lover, perfect partner and super cute. The smut is sweet and loving. MC is an average guy, and he had a lot of self deprecating thought about himself. And reality every one will think like him, why would a perfect rich, handsome top alpha see in an ordinary beta? Anyway with a little misunderstandings and kiss and make up they become a sweet happy ever after couple. Good cute read. Thank you

Ahhh I like this so much but stopped at Chapter 20. There are more than 20 chapters but a premium subscription is required on the Wordexcerpt website to read beyond that.

MC is an alpha and ML a beta. MC was in denial and then devastated that he slept with a beta. Actually he's a lil bit of a jerk about it. This is the first omegaverse story I've read that shuns an AB pairing. In any case, MC tries to act responsibly and questions his reason for sleeping with ML.

So many moments while reading I had to stuff my face in the pillow screaming AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH can I get my own Heerak. He is so cute and not afraid of being embarassed of his feelings. His babbling God I wish I could wear my heart on... more>> my sleeves like him. He is so kind too. My heart felt like it is going to burst open any moment by him being so cute and adorable 😭

This might be the closest novel to my heart so far. I just love the thought process of the protagonists and how much it actually happens in real life. How the romance was written is just so refreshing for both MC and ML that I personally think this should have a higher rating.

This is a MUST READ especially if you're looking for an ABO novel that's different from the stereotypes.
